The Bar B Que House

American Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach

New location now open in South Carolina! The BBQ House was established in 2005, offering Oak Island residents and guests an innovative BBQ-dining experience. Founded on North Carolina’s love of barbeque, the BBQ House slow-smokes the finest quality pork with hickory logs, each day, at our on-site facility. Then, we offer our customers a mix of sauces, from Eastern NC vinegar sauce, to Lexington style red sauce, to our own tasty House sauce and now our new South Carolina mustard sauce, you’re sure to find one that’s to your liking. Combine your BBQ, be it pork, ribs or chicken, with the world’s best hushpuppies and corn nuggets, and you’ve surely got the Best BBQ on the Beach!

Review: Went to the new one in surfside beach last night. Ordered the pork with side orders of brunswick stew and green beans. Pork was ok but portions very small. Very small cup of stew and extra 50 cent for that. For the money I will have to go somewhere else. Best thing there were the sauces;.

Review: My first trip here. Food was great and lots of BBQ sauces on the table to try. Great service. All the glass windows surrounding the dining area make it a comfortable area. I will return and also recommend this to friends for a great dining experience at a fair price. Don

Review: Been there three times now.........first time to eat in and everything was great!.........second time ordered ribs/barbq combo-no ribs this night.........last time they finally had ribs. This seems to be an ongoing problem as I hear it from others. I grew up with Lexington BarBQ almost as a staple food item. This place has a close facsimile of Lexington style sauce (dip). The food is good but way over priced. I can buy a pound of Q in Lexington for the same price as 1/2 pound here, but there 200 miles difference. Will not be a regular stop for a local because of the prices.

Review: Not worth going to. They have no smoked sausage. I ordered the 2 meat platter and wanted ribs and pulled pork. After about 10 minutes I am told they are out of ribs and decided on getting the wings for a second meat. Well when my order came I received the pulled pork and 3 crappy looking wings. For sure not worth $12:00 and just tasted ok. Same your money and go somewhere else.

Review: My husband and I ordered the BarBQ Tray. It was a large portion of pork, slaw and hushpuppies. The food was great and so was our waitor, TJ who explained each of the sauces on the table for us to choose from. We enjoyed it so much we went back for their home made biscuit breakfast special the next morning. We couldn't believe the price $1.99. The BarBQ House is one of the best kept secrets on the beach. We will centainly go back on our next trip to North Myrtle Beach.

Review: This place is a MUST go! Their bbq is fantastic! I eat here at least once a week! I love their ribs, chopped bbq, chicken wings and bbq sandwich! You choose your sauce, either a tomato based tennessee sauce, mustard, vinegar based or sweet sauce! White / red cole slaw! There hush puppies are fresh, served with honey cinnamon butter! There side dishes OMG! I love the potatoe salad! Seriously people, if u want true bbq, for a good price, check it out!
