Tavern is a great place to go and hang out. The food is great with their daily specials while the athmosphere is always exciting. By day, the Tavern is a family resturaunt and by night, it turns into a great place for people to come and grab a bite to eat and have a few drings with their friends. The Saturday night team trivia is a huge hit along with karaoke on tuesdays and wendsdays. On Friday nights, there is a live dj playing all the favorites and even some karaoke. The service is great and the bartenders are friendly and love to hangout.

Absolutely awful...Something has changed in what used to be our favorite restaurant...Drink prices through the roof...Portions sliced in what seems like in half...Service was terrible except the bartender on Saturday does Jager shots with us every week...Will not return until a total redo of the staff and the kitchen...

Love the Tavern! The bartender, Chris is AWESOME and the food is excellent. Watch for the specials, they are usually to die for. This is the perfect, "upscale", local's tavern where everybody knows your name. Clean, clean, and did I mention clean? It's not the cheapest place in town, but you get what you pay for. (If you want cheap and don't mind dirty, there's always RJ's or the BH.) The Tavern is worth every penny and CHRIS makes it the best!!

They have the best burgers, consistently. Good happy hour. Beer is reasonably priced and cold. Atmosphere is noisy, but it's a bar, so it's to be expected.

The worst $17 Ribeye dinner ever. No season on the steak. Tasted like they just took it out of the freezer and threw it on a flat top grill. A little garlic salt, onion powder or some other season would be good. Awful and tasteless.

Worst experience I can remember having in a restaurant in years, and we have given them several chances. Living in Carolina Forest means we would love this to be a favorite, but instead, the new owners have made certain that will not happen. The length of time it took to even get a drink order during a weekday lunch was 30 minutes. Unacceptable! It only got worse. Tuna salad platter would be easy you would think, but it was horrible. The tuna was served as scooped out of the bowl, just sitting on the plate, to the left was a pile of iceberg (browning) lettuce, and they forgot the eggs, but 20 minutes later brought them on a plate and just slid them onto our table. We didn't pay a dime or leave a tip which I have NEVER done. I've never experienced worse service, food or dining experience in general.

Maybe the worst value we know in Carolina Forest. The "new rib sauce" is awful. I think the new owners are not of the old saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Crab Cakes went from a nice 6 oz+ Crabcake to a small and way overpriced 4oz. The waitstaff, which was so nice and friendly was negative and did not serve us very efficiently. The bartenders are nasty people and most of all, the PRICES HAVE ALL GONE UP.....Bad form Tavern...The new Tavern is terrible...

Definatley not a go back to place. The drinks are over priced, and the food served is well below average. The chicken tenders are so dried out, and the french onion soup had been water down till the flavor was gone. When we told our server, her reply was"Oh" 15 minuets later she came back and said do you guys want something else? No just the tab.20 minuets later she brought it, the un-eatten food still on the bill. The new chef and menu aren't doing it for us,live music, friendly people, nice management, and maybe we will be back. I can hear sing along in the garage, beach music at the dance clubs, you were to be a family place, and now you want the college crowd, (but are they faithful)? Your old established clietele are gonme.

We spent most of last summer in Myrtle Beach and stopped in at the Tavern whenever we could. Very good "pub grub"! The burgers were massive and the ribs were fall off the bone tender! A great place to relax and have fun. We also had a favorite bartender, Steve Pence. What a great bartender and a true professional! Always a warm welcome and a ready smile. He is an asset to your business. We look forward to seeing Steve and all our friends at the Tavern this coming summer!

After many months of giving them a chance, here is the deal. Food over-priced, they need new cooks and chef, table service is terrible, we waited 20 minuets for a server to show up at the table, had to walk to the bar for drink refills.

The best thing they had going for them was the entertainment from the previous owner. Joan, was super, we ate there every Friday just to hear her. Love the beatles twins, ( any weekend nite would be better.) Week nights don't work for many of the working families that love to hear real music, not canned, sing along.

We will not be returning,, ( as if they will care if they miss our tables of 8-14 locals.) The new owners are not freindly. If you want a decent drink and meal at resonable prices look elsewhere in the forest.

This is a must visit...Great food and great prices on drinks...Look for their coupons in all the local papers...$3.00 Vodka's were great and the $2.00 Miller Lite drafts went down easy as well...The ribs are AWESOME....

Have eaten here more than any other place in MB. Best value in town w the coupon specials. Don't expect gourmet meals. It a local joint with decent food and good prices and sports tv. Decent beer selection. Nice local crowd hangout.

My wife and I visit the Tavern weekly and we have not been disappointed yet. Dave Murphy co owner is always there with a smile & friendly greeting. The service is top notch and the food is awesome. Our favorites are the Tavern Burgers "best in town", Rack of Ribs, French Onion Soup "to die for" Meat Loaf "yummy" and last but not least the Shrimp Ceasar Salad. For a real good meal at down to earth prices you can't beat the Tavern..

It was superb!!! Gotta go back for the real St Patricks day coming up. Be there or be square! John and Gerri Collins

Not real good. Ate there because of the ads in the Carolina Forest Newspaper. Was disappointed. Went to Longbeards behind the shopping center. Was suprised. It was very good if you like wildlife on the walls. I think they went a little overboard on that but it was good.
