An answer to the bogus review written on 5/30/10: Our restaurant policy is FREE refills and we naver charge for TO GO cups. We are an all you can eat buffet as well--so if you need a to go container for the buffet--we don't think so-- unless you are taking a-la-carte left overs home. We NEVER have "left overs" on the buffet as you say. We aim to please and our staff is always treated like family. You have obviously never stepped inside our establishment so do something more useful with your time like work as hard as the family that owns this diner.

Wow, $22+ for two of us getting the breakfast buffet. Price breakdown: Buffet $7 ea, Coffee $1.55 ea, plus tax and tip. All meats were greasy and I couldn't finish anything on my plate except the eggs. We used to love this place, but that kind of price for a breakfast buffet, and especially for the poor quality, is ridiculous. We won't be returning.

Visited 11/3/09 on a Tuesday morning...had the breakfast buffet..I was happy that they had Belgian waffles, hot syrup, and perfect French toast(not soggy) The bacon was crisp and the home fried potatoes were ok. The only thing I didn't like was that the scrambled eggs were too runny...I prefer them more well done. They had fresh honey dew melon but not enough cantalope. I have been passing by this place for the past 3 years and I finally stopped in. I wish i had more of an appetite.

Over Labor Day weekend, my fiance and I ate at this restaurant twice. Very convenient since to Holiday Inn across the street. Reasonable price for breakfast buffet: $7.99 ea + coffee @ $1.70 ea. The place was very busy both times - mix of locals and tourists. PLEASE READ ABOUT BOTH DAYS!!!

First morning, Saturday, 11:00 am - we ate heartily and loved everything. Fresh and delicious food, excellent service. Especially enjoyed tasty sauteed mushrooms, and onions with peppers on perfect scrambled eggs. Although busy, servers were cheerful, and we could tell that the food was carefully prepared, since we saw the chef come out numerous times to refill buffet items with small, just-cooked batches. We were very happy.

The next day, Sunday, same time - VERY VERY DIFFERENT!!! The place was packed full, we were ignored and stood around awkwardly for five minutes, then a rude woman (owner's daughter?) waved us to a back room, slapped menus down and stalked away - crumbs on table, no napkins, cups, or utensils. Most of the items on the buffet were either very low, cooked hard, or simply empty. Thinking they were just too busy, we decided to wait until they were able to catch up.

When the food did come out, carried by the owner or his wife (no sign of chef), the eggs were barely cooked and runny, bacon as if it had been laid in the pan like a slab and left there, no biscuits. We both ate mostly the same things, except, I had some mushrooms, onion & pepper, and not-ripe melon. Our waitress apparently forgot about us and never cleared any plates or refilled drinks.

THE WORST PART: I GOT VIOLENTLY, DEATHLY ILL less than one hour after we left. First, GI upset led to speedy, emergency bathroom trip in Big Lots. Feeling nauseous, sweating profusely, and very weak, I went to sit outside. MASSIVE, VIOLENT, HORRIBLE VOMITING ENSUED. Rushed back to hotel, I could barely make it up stairs, vomited & more right away in hotel bathroom. THIS RUINED TWO DAYS OF OUR TOO SHORT VACATION. IT'S YOUR CHOICE - DO YOU FEEL LUCKY?

My family moved down from NY 6 years ago and in all that time we have been searching for a real "diner" like we have back home. Well we finally found it at the Sunny Side Up Diner in Little River. They have the best breakfast around and for really low prices. We have also gone there for lunch and the burgers are wonderful! We would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a diner atmosphere. It is very clean and everyone who works there is super nice.

I visited this restaurant 8/17/08 with my girlfriend. We were seated without waiting. The server took our order. In less than 3 minutes our food was on table. I later relaized why. Everyhting had been microwaved. I ordered an omlette with pancakes. My girlfriend ordered eggs with hash and sausage. We both had coffee. This was the worse meal I have ever had in Myrtle Beach. 20 minutes after leaving the place I was physically ill. Later my girlfriend was sick. Just a few days later we discovered that they charged her account twice what was on the receipt. When we called they said it wasn't their problem and they could not fix it. Please find somewhere else to have your meals. Not worth the money or the headache.

This was one of the worst breakfast I have ever eaten. I felt physically ill afterwards from the greasy inedible food and left most of it on my plate. My boyfriend had GI upset about 10 minutes after we left the restaurant. 2 days later I checked my bank statement and found that I had been overcharged by $21.68. They charged me twice! This food was defineatley NOT worth anything let alone twice. When I called the Sunnside Up Grill to rectify the overcharge the man (Nick) said to me that the overcharge was "impossible" and that the mistake "wasn't on his end so don't accuse him". I have the receipt and bank statement. Funny how the overcharge was for the exact anount of the meal x's 2! Horrible experience, no wonder the parking lot was empty.
