Previously O'Henry's, now there's a new name with new owners. Yes, the "Ice Cream Nazi" (as many reviewers called him) is gone.

Under new administration. Now call Mami's Ice Cream & Cafe. You have to stop by, they have a little bit of everything. Ice Cream, Smoothies, Crepes, Piña Coladas, Sandwiches, Fried Pies and Desserts. So much now to chose from.....

Glad to see new owners here. Now my wife and I can try it again. How funny and ironic is that? An angry, miserable couple owning an ice cream shop. The few good reviews must be written by relatives, or maybe even themselves. I hope this guy found a miserable job to match his personality!

Hi every one, wow, from what i've read about the previous owners, i'm sure glad my first visit was this year. I'm diabetic and the sugar free double chocolate was so good I almost doubted it was sugar free. The selection of ice cream was great and delicious. Just ask my husband (a connoisseur). We happened to notice the front case had steeler items and being from pittsburgh, we struck up a conversation with the new owners. I love meeting nice people, it restores my faith in humanity. Then to my surprise the drummer and founder of the guess who came in for ice cream with his beautiful wife. I grew up with the guess who and was so honored when he shook my hand and spoke with me. Hey the band is touring if any one is interested. So if you want ice cream while in myrtle not only will you get yummy for your money, you might get to meet one of your idols. If not no more ice cream nazi only really nice people..

What a relief! The new owners are very friendly and the ice cream is tasty. They have a large selection of flavors and Dan gave me a free sample when I couldn't decide which one to get. The prices are reasonable for the beach and the place is clean. I've been there several times and the service has always been great. The only thing that is missing is to lose the name that reminds people of the "ice cream nazi". I think they should have a box where people can submit names. It would be fun. I wish them well.

Don and Beverly were warm and welcoming. They were inquisitive as to where we were from and very friendly. Turned out we were close Northern neighbors at one point. Gave free samples when we were unsure of what we wanted to try and we will definately stop by again. Great place to take your kids. It is nice that you can sit inside or out. GO STEELERS!!

Didn't really think too much of the Ice Cream here. It is bluebell which you can get at any grocery store. Prices were about average for any other ice cream place but it just wasn't that good.

We stay in Little River every year and stopped for ice cream one night. The store is very cute and the owners Dan and Beverly were delightful. They made a fuss over my children and the ice cream was reasonable and excellent. It is a great change from the crowds in Myrtle. We were delighted to see their Steeler case as we walked in, must send them some Penguin things! Great to see hometown people doing well. We'll be back next year and will send family and friends your way!

I go down with my family to Myrtle every year and remember the horror that was "the ice cream Nazi". Not that we knew him as that but I remember the attitude. Luckily the new owner Dan is a fantastic guy. Great service, great ice cream and from Pittsburgh, what more could you ask for? Go Pens!

YES!!!!!! The "ice cream Nazi" is gone!!!!! The new owner is a very nice, friendly man - Dan. A group of 6 of us visited O'Henry's tonight for some ice cream after dinner. To our delight, we were greeted with a smile and very friendly conversation with the new owner. We actually sat in the rockers and chairs and enjoyed our ice cream while talking with Dan - just like being at home. That would never have happened with the "ice cream Nazi." Go and support Dan in his new venture!

We stopped in 5 minutes before closing and he opened the doors and welcomed us in. After reading all the reviews, it was a pleasure to have such a congenial person waiting on us. The ice cream was great..and it was great to talk to a Steelers Fan..although he is from the wrong side of PA. Philly World Champions!!

Every year our family gathers in N Myrtle Beach for a family reunion. We always go to "the grumpy old man's" ice cream shop. It's ALWAYS a topic of conversation after we leave with what happens. Here's one of our favorite stories - one visit my neice ordered an ice cream cone and asked for sprinkles. The "grumpy old man's" wife told her in a very nasty way that she could NOT have sprinkles because they will just fall off. So...why do they have them there for the kids to look at then???? I for one am THRILLED that he is gone! We're looking forward to a new place to go!
