Review: My husband am I are from Virginia and we stopped in for lunch at Shuckers at 3rd Avenue. We found it to be absolutely excellent! We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Our server was also the bartender. She was very pleasant and outgoing. We ate oysters, mussles, and crab legs, which were all excellent. The next day we went back for dinner and had the steam pot, which was delicious. We will always stop in there when we come down on vacation.

Review: We were instructed to go to Shuckers by a local. And to not go to the other raw bar just 1/2 mile or so South of there.
Sometimes you get good advice... this was one of those times. When you see a restaurant full of locals, you know you've found the pearl. I have never seen my wife eat more mussels, clams , oyststers, and shrimp. She eats these things when they are in season... and said she had never had fresher tasting Ocean fare. I 'm a buffalo wing guy. I ordered a dozen and was going to order an entree later . They were just as I ordered "HOT!" but not uneatable. the wings were so big and meaty that I was unable to continue eating.
Now... the people(patrons locally))were so helpful as to where
to eat the best food at not neccessarily higher prices. Shuckers is our new place for this. From 4pm to 7pm all appitizers are half price... not to mention the fast and friendly service. I though we were at home when leaving... leaving our new friends behind. Cathy thanks for your number. Us suburban Chicagoans are retired and looking for a new place to land. Myrtle Beach is on my list of possible areas, just because everyone are so darm friendly. And Jim Thank You for mentioning this place. If you can, sit at thr bar, you'll have more fun. but there is a large dining area and outdoor too. They are "Kid Friendly" and has kids entree's for a pittence. This was clearly the most fun we've ohad at any place.
I don't drink but felt like regulars upon our exit. Wife & I)
I tink we'llI try lunch there today. 300 N. Kings Hwy I believe.
And enough other land food for people like me.
Fun & Outstanding food and Value

Review: Will NEVER step foot in this establishment again. We sat at our table for nearly 10 minutes, in a basically empty resturaunt, and never got any service. I finally walked up to the bar and asked nicely if we could get a waitress to get our order. Finally a man walked over to get our order and when we expressed to him that we were unsatisfied with the service so far his response was, "im here to get your order now, take it or leave it"... so we left. seemed as if he may have been a manager and seemed as if he had been drinking. Ughhh you would think that in a bad economy we wouldn't get treated this way. we didn't make a food order after that so i can't really tell you anything about their food.

Review: My wife and I live in NC, and came to visit Broadway at the beach for my wife's birthday. On our second day, we were looking for a place to eat a late lunch, early dinner.
We saw Shuckers and decided to try them. When you walk in you go straight to the bar, but there is plenty of places to sit away from the bar to eat. Our server was the bartender. She told us "sit wherever you want". We did,and she came soon after to take our order even though she had a full bar.
We started with the fried calamari with marinara sauce and oyster supreme as apps. Both were great. The calamari was lightly breaded and cooked just right, tasty and not chewy. We then ordered a 1/2 doz raw oysters and 1/4 lb fried shrimp basket. Both came right away with hardly any wait time and the shrimp also was fried with a light batter and not greasy. The raw oysters were as they should be....fresh,served cold on a platter of ice, lemon wedges, horseradish and cocktail sauce. Next, we ordered the blackened seafood combo pasta to share with each other. Another great choice! The dish was excellent as was our experience with the entire meal. We left with a to go box of wings..12 wings for $5.40 during happy hour. Great food, nice service. We will certainly go back again when in town.

Review: My husband and I love this place. We found it in 2007 and couldn't wait to go back. If you go during happy hour 4-7PM you can get oysters and/or wings for 45 cents each. We finally made it back down this year, and for the first time tried the buffalo style fried oysters, and they are my new found favorite. I wish they would open a resturant in Pittsburgh. As for the steamed oysters, they are also fantastic, the ones we received were slightly opened, and they were not raw at all. Trust me, we ate 3 dz raw oysters while we were there, and I think I can tell the difference. The service is also wonderful. We went to another bar Murphy's Law to watch the Steelers game and wish we would have gone to Shucker's. The bartender and servers are a lot more friendly.

Review: We had a group of 7, and could seat our selves. The server was really nice at the beginning. We instructed to her that we were on seperate checks. The food was excellent. The server did not bring all the things that was requested from her such as sauces and take home boxes. She put all of our food on one check, when we went to inform her of the mistake her attitude turned a complete 180. She was rude and kept messing up the checks. It took 30 minutes to get our checks only to find out that we were charged an 18% gratuity instead of 15% that was instructed on the menu. The manager threatened to call the cops on us for catching this mistake and wanting to not correct. In the end we did not get the correct change back and we will never go back due poor attitudes of all the staff!

Review: Not good at all. Don't listen to these other guys. They must have been drunk. Music was too loud, too random and just plain sucked. Don't get me started with the food. If you're drunk (as many were) then it will probably be great. I ordered steamed oysters. I can steam oysters myself and I know that when they're done, the shell cracks open slightly, that's all you have to know. They were raw and clamped shut. My husband's flounder tasted like it had been fried in 2-year-old grease. Enough said. If you're from the mid-west and have never tasted real seafood, this place will suffice.

Review: Locally owned and simply a MUST GO place. Great clam chowder--- not that stuff made out of clams and flour that you can stand a fork up in. I am from New England and have sampled more than my fair share of the stuff and this ranks up there with the very best. Now on to the buckets of steamed oysters---delicious selects always---and can be steamed as you like or serveed up raw. Don't miss the clams either. Always a cold beer and a "little bit of sass!" Shuckers is the best at the beach---I take all my "company" there. Thanks J.R. and Bill

Review: While in myrtle beach I found a great place to eat and enjoy a great laugh. Shuckers Raw Bar was an excellent choice. My wife and I enjoyed a huge thing of nachos as an appetizer, and for the main course a gigantic bucket of steamed oysters as well as crab legs and fish and chips.the service was excellent as well was the food, I encourage anyone who's looking for a fun place to eat and have a drink to go there..
