We almost did not come to Seafood World based on the comments but we are glad we did. First of all, their wait staff is exceptional. From the greeter to the bus boy they were all attentive and smiling. The crab legs were easy to get out of the shell, which tells me they were fresh and cooked properly. Although a lot of the items appeared to be purchased already prepped, they were not over cooked and were not dried out. It was pricey, but all of the buffets are. Very good experience.

I spent 55 dollars for 2 with a money off coupon. They should have paid us for coming in. The place was busy, I guess from folks who thought the discount off coupon was a deal. We went there so my wife could order from the menu and I could get the buffet. The buffet had a small selection of food. We were told the steak was prime rib and fillet mignon. I raise cattle and I canot tell you what cut of meat that was they offered. When they did bring it to the buffet it was only 4 or 5 small over cooked tasteless stuff. The crab legs were rubbery and blah even the ones that looked like the right color. Rice was hard the "shrimp" was nasty. Do NOT waste your money on this crap they called food.

Sir johns one of myrtle beachs great restaurants is no longer...they will not tell you this when you call sir johns number. Food is attractive yet tasteless. Salad bar is great but who could mess up a salad bar.. It is now called seafood world. Stay away unless you like paying 21.95 for sald bar meals. Sir johns please come buy your restaurant back and bring us great food again.

The buffet was very small with the salad bar and dessert table an absolute joke. The only items that were not bad were the crab legs and stuffed shrimp. They were out of lemons, sprite, hush puppies, wet naps and probably alot more that we did not bother to ask about. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

It's been 10 years since our first visit to Sir Johns, and the quality is as good (if not better) than it was 10 years ago! My wife and kids usually get the buffet, and sometimes my wife gets the crablegs. I always get a steak, and one of the great things about Sir Johns is that I also get to go to the salad bar and dessert bar when I order a steak. I've never had a bad meal there, and their buffet selections are always unique. It's a casual atmosphere, and isn't overpriced. If you're looking for somewhere new to try, give Sir Johns a chance.

This was by far the worst food we had on our recent trip. I ate off of the buffet and my wife ordered shrimp, wasn't sure it was really shrimp, from the menu. The scallops were tough (over-cooked) the mahi-mahi was in 1 inch strips, the prime rib was so tough, I could have folded it and made myself a new wallet. My son, who is 14 and small for his size, ate one chicken leg, three hush puppies and about 10 clam strips, and was charged the adult price ($19.95). The salad bar was confusing since the salad plates or bowls were over by the deserts. The wilted, brown lettece should have told me to leave, but I give second chances. BAD mistake on my part. The desert bar was just as bad. This is a place for quantity, definately not quality.

We ate here last summer and it was excellent. I was soooo looking forward to going back this year. Our waitress threw our silverware at us and snarled at our drink order and then slammed them down so hard they spilled on our table!! I was completely shocked and spoke to the manager/owner and she snottily apologized .Our party of 7 got up and left. There are way too many seafood buffets to be treated this way. I recommend one of them

This is one of our "usual" restaurants to eat at. The food is good and you can't beat the value for seafood anywhere else on the strand. The stuffed crab is excellent and they also have the best hushpuppies which to me are a Myrtle Beach staple. We like the atmosphere as well. We'll be back.

We went there for the first time in 2005. We were looking for a restaurant for seafood we hadn't tried and noticed the Christian sign of the fish on their sign. We enjoyed the meal enough that we plan on going there this year with our relatives. It wasn't crowded and the food was very good. It's the best tasting food on a buffet we had in Myrtle beach in years as the bigger places like Benjamins started all tasting the same. The best value for crab legs on the beach!

Hadn't been there for a few years but the place was basically the same as always. Mostly a buffet with a few order off the menu items for non buffet lovers. Salad bar has good selection and variety and is well maintained by staff. The hot food buffet is directly tied to the kitchen so everything is fresh and hot. They have a wide selection of sea food prepared many ways. There is something for everyone there. The best deal is the all you can eat Prime Rib and Crab legs. Prime Rib and crab legs are delivered to your table. No getting up and digging through a bunch of small picked over legs. Each plate was brimming hot with decent sized legs. They make sure your plate is never empty. Too full for dessert but, they have a nice selection there too.
