Having decided on dining at the Salt Creek Cafe, we were thoroughly satisfied and surprised. Had enjoyable meals, rib eye steak, macroni and cheese and soft shell crabs, not to mention the great desserts. We'll be back.

This restaurant location has been numerous restaurants over the past 25 years and we would like to see this one succeed. We have had two bad experiences there. We had not eaten and stopped there one night after a meeting. They really just wanted us gone. We didn’t want much so we split the Turkey Dinner but they refused to split it in the kitchen. Any restaurant in Murrells Inlet or Charleston where we eat never has refused to split a meal. We don’t care if they charge a split charge. They brought our salad out and immediately brought the entrée. We felt rushed and it was not a pleasant experience.

The second occasion was with friends who wanted to go there. Again, we barely took a bite of our salad when the entrées came out. Three of us had the Salt Creek Chicken that was very mediocre. There are too many good places to eat to bother going back.

We are now locals and this is our favorite place. The owners are always on site and make sure everything is going great. The food is fantastic, I love the fish tacos, salads, appetizers, cheese pizza...well everything to be honest. They have five different cocktails that are only THREE $$$ all day long! I highly recommend the bloody mary. And the she crab soup is some of the best I have ever tasted!!!! The atmosphere is cozy and attractive and most times there is some live music.

This has become our favorite restaurant. My wife and I are "seniors" and are usually looking for light fare and bargain prices. Salt creek has an early bird menu that is outstanding. With happy hour prices on drinks and a selection of entrees approximately 30% below standard menu prices but without reducing size of entree, it is "the" bargain. The quality of the food is great with a Thai chili sauce for the calamari or horseradish sauce for the zuccchini/portabello mushroom appetizers. We often share an appetizer and a pizza (the BBQ chicken pizza is special) and bring home tomorrows lunch in one of their unique take out boxes. I also recommend the mushroom & chicken fettuchini but it leaves no room for their wonderful desserts - watch out for the mud pie!

This by far is one of the best restaurants I have been to while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. The food and service were both excellent!!! The restaurant if very laid back and like the other persons review, my husband and I were personally welcomed by the owner and his wife. I would definately recommend the mushroom and chicken fettucini. There was so much of it that I had leftovers for lunch. It was very very good. Our server highly recommended the cookie slop for dessert and she could not have recommended a better one. It is a definate must when you eat there. I look forward to going back to the restaurant next year!

Being a local, trying .new places can be challenging. The food, service, ambiance and price make this restaurant a true gem! My kids beg to go to Salt Creek all of the time, they love the mac n cheese and the special pink and blue drinks just for the younger crowd. My husband loves the Thanksgiving dinner that is available year round. As for me, I try something different each time we dine there and I have enjoyed everything! Salt Creek provides a relaxing, beautiful, family atmosphere without the noise and commotion found at so many chain restaurants and allows us to eat something other than burgers or pizza as a family.

Our first experience at Salt Creek Cafe was one of delicious food (loved the fried oyster Caesar salad), delightful service, (smiles greeted us from the entrance, to our server, and our personal greeting by Keith, the owner), and the savoring of the ambience of the restaurant. Salt Creek has an aura of comfort and enjoyment, from the seating to the charming, beautiful surf pictures around the dining room and the bar area. Speaking of which, what a knockout area to enjoy happy hour! It truly sparkles. This restaurant is a definite keeper for us.

Dining at Salt Creek Cafe was a great experience! The menu is eclectic - made up of food the owners love to eat at home - I know this because we were personally welcomed by the owner who was the former manager of the Gulf Stream...the food we ordered was great! The She Crab soup was to die for - the salt creek grits - (our first tim trying grits!) really great. We ordered fish tacos to try something new and they were really tasty - We would definately go back to Salt Creek Cafe for the food - the service - great prices and great ambiance..(also to be noted...the surf photography on the walls throughout is really something to see.)
