I don't really care about Rossis...its ok.... I do have a prob with Bloomfield , NJ comment about southerners. First the owner is not even from here, he's a DAMN YANKEE just like you. Get mad at your own ppl, not us down here. We didn't ask you to come or stay and live here.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants, It is one of the few I always go to when in Myrtle. This is a nice restaurant. It is always busy. (If it were bad it would not be crowded) A simple tip, stop by or call earlier in the day or the day before AND MAKE A RESERVATION ! Last time I was there, I made my reservation for 7 PM, we arrived about 10 minutes early, As I approched the Matre'd, a young couple put there name on the list, They had a two hour wait. I then told the Matre'd my name and that I had a reservation for 7PM "right this way Mr. Jones, your table is ready" Magic ? -no - Reservation ! As for the food, If you want Fazoli's or Fazoli type food go to Fazoli's. But if you want a fine meal, this is the place. Let your waiter help you with your food choice. They are very knowledgeable and hard working. I had commented to my wife that our waiter should be cloned, that he was one of the most effecient waiters I had ever seen. I love their Veal Oscar. It is not on the menu, but they will make it, In fact our waiter said it was a very popular with their regulars. . Special requests are not a problem for them. As for the negative reviews, some people can always find something to gripe about. Remember make a reservation, and smile to yourself as you walk by all the people that waited and just put their name on the list.

My husband & I have been going to Rossi's for years when we vacation in the area. We have never been disappointed. Over the years I have told several people to go when they are in the area, and everyone has been extremly satisfied. If it was closer to home, this would be our special occasion place.

So many opinions a total of 57 they feed 1000s of cutomers with many on numerous returns. It seems as if they had a bad day or one bad experience .I would not let that keep me from trying Rossis you will come again and again. As for the owner being Greek what would that mean they have been in the food industry for generations and some even own good old American Mc Donalds imagine that.I would compare it to many of our fine etablishments in Chicago or my visits too New York. It saddens me when one time visitors place judgements on someones lifetime of success and hard work shame on them. Deane and the staff of Rossis keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!! p.s The music is great

My husband and I were there on vacation from New Jersey and we had the pleasure to dine at this incredible restaurant. We had the Lobster Ravioli and it was delicious. The wine selection was also great. We finished our meal with some out of this world dessert..TARTUFO...The tartufo itself was beyond my expectations. I can't wait to go back there and enjoy it again..YUMMY...... a very pleased couple

This is the second time my husband and I have eaten at this restaurant. He loves italian food, and I love seafood. It was the best of both worlds. The waiter was so knowledgeable about the wine list, and did an excellent wine presentation. The atmosphere is great if you are seated in a room without windows, otherwise the view isn't so great. The walls absorb the sound well, so even though there were 2 crying babies in there, it didn't affect us much. My husband enjoyed the fact that they served a huge "boat" full of Parmesan cheese which he used all of. The bread was glazed with butter and garlic, which would've been better with olive oil and balsamic vinegar instead of butter (they had the former 6 years ago.) The seafood is fresh. I think we'll make this a regular stop on our trips to myrtle beach. I love when you can find a nice restaurant and not get caught in all the tourist trap restaurants.

We go to myrtle beach every year. That means we eat at rossis every year. We are used to real Italian food. In fact we are Italian. My grandmother, who is real picky beacuse she makes her own tomatoe sauce, loves it. My dad is a harsh food "critic' and loved it. In fact we go on his birthday every year.

This place should be closed down. I'm from North Jersey and the actual waiter we had did not know of anything Italian. The owner himself didn't know anything Italian. Fast food is what it is....... Absolutely horrible. With the way that it was packed, you would think it was like Smith&Wollensky or something, but I guess that was all of the southerners and midwesterners....No offense to you guys either, it's just that we are used to Real Italian food here. From Real Italians.

We dined at Rossi's on 12/11/08. We had beef tips for an appitizer, which were "just right spicy" and very tender, with two ifferent dipping sauces. The house salad we had was fresh and delicious with the blue cheese dressing. I had cheese stuffed shells in marinaro sauce which was delicious, my wife had veal parmigeon and lagagna which she enjoyed greatly. We had cabernet house wine which was just right and tiramazo which was light and delicious. Our waiters name was John and the service we received was outstanding and we have never had better service. He was there when we needed him but didn't hover. Overall the night was better than excellant.

They spend a lot of money on advertising and hype. Being from Chicago where true Italian restaurants are plentiful, Rossi's is no comparison. Waiting to get seated was too long as it wasn't that busy and we were staring at open tables. The service was poor. They act like you were lucky to be there. Back to the hype. The food just isn't that good. Especially for the price. Just because they have the biggest signs on the highway and have the most commercials on the radio doesn't make them better. We have been going to MB for 15 years and every few years we give it another try in case they somehow changed. So this year in September of '08, we tried once more. Nothing changed. Same mediocre food, snotty waiter, poor service. You shouldn't have to keep looking for someone to get some wine with your dinner. And after the wine order is taken, it should come back in less than 15 minutes. Save your money. Many fine smaller places there that care that you dropped in.

This is the best restraunt in Myrtle Beach. The price is a little high, but worth every penny. They have the best crab dip I have ever had. The food on the menu can be traded out for a different item. My fish was to be served with scallops and shrimp, but I substituted it for crab. The waitor said the kitchen can do anything. It was to die for. Very Clean!

I have been going to Rossi's for the past 4 vacations with my family and it is the culinary highlight of my year. Those that gave unfair reviews must either A) Not be Italian, or B) Not realize that Rossi's is an experience, not your average Fazoli's -style dining! I highly recommend the Italian sampler for those with a larger appetite, as well as a cannoli for dessert...it is definately worth the feeling of being overly full! Definately get a reservation!

Lousiest dining experience of my life. Waiter (who appeared to be under the influence of something) knew nothing about the menu and made error submitting our order to the kitchen. Food was not as we ordered. Manager was somewhat sympathetic at first but unhelpful. Paid cash for half-eaten meal and left. Was followed into parking lot by manager and waiter claiming we had not paid. Then the money magically appeared in the waiter's hand. Manager was unapologetic for the scene created in the parking lot. Told manager and waiter where to shove their restaurant. Will never set foot in that place again.

I've been vacationing in Myrtle Beach since the early '90's and Rossi's was always my favorite restaurant. We'd always save it for our last night as a special treat. I've taken friends and family there and have told many to people to eat at Rossi's. But, I must say that my last couple experiences there have not been up to par. My favorite entree was always the filet oscar...last fall it was nothing like I'd had in the past. I believe in giving places, especially an old favorite, another chance. This month, May 2008, I took 8 friends with me. There was not one person happy with their meal or the service. Our waitress was very unfriendly and inefficient. Specials were announced without prices...none of asked...our mistake! Most of us ordered the Grouper with one piece of shrimp and two scallops. The grouper was very fishy tasting, didn't even taste like Grouper...most of us were charged $36 for this entree...one of the women was charged $39.99 and the waitress argued with her about it. One woman was brought the Grouper special instead of the Veal Special...upon telling the waitress, she acted like she doubted my friend, but did eventually return with the Veal entree...about halfway through our meals. But, the odd part was, the manager came and questioned my friend about changing her mind. She was sitting right beside me...the Grouper was parmesan encrusted, this person does not even eat any kind of cheese and had definitely not ordered it. I think the waitress was trying to pawn the mistake off to the guest instead of admitting she'd made the mistake. She was promised a free dessert for the mistake...which never was mentioned again, she didn't receive it or any other compensation. Our water glasses were never refilled, coffee was never mentioned, except for one person who ordered it and never received it. Two of the women did order the filet oscar...at a price of $49...and weren't impressed. I felt terrible I had taken my friends to Rossi's and will never return. The only good thing I can say about our experience that night was that the Lobster bites were still great. Rossi's has lost a good customer, I'm in Myrtle Beach four times a year and they'll never get any of my business again. There are too many other great restaurants in MB to waste my money on yet another bad experience.

Well, we heard of Rossi's through a work colleague, and will be definitely returning. I am I talian, and the Linguini and Clams were as good if not better than my own. We sat at the bar for a while talking witht the bartender, had some of the wonderful cheese with our wine. I would suggest that you give yourselves plenty of time. Not because of the wait, but because to truly enjoy the atmosphere, the smell of good Italian food (garlic) is to enjoy Rossi's. I will be back in Apriol, October, April, etc....

This was my first visit, but certainly not my last. The owner's neice attends school with my son and she suggested Rossi's. Figuring she wouldn't lead us astray we went. We were seated immediately, of course it was off season. The place is absolutely beautiful inside. Not anything like I would expect in a shopping center. The waiter was very informative and knowledgeable about the dishes. We ordered the feta stuffed mushrooms appetizer. I don't like mushrooms, well I didn't before Saturday. My son had a lasagna/stuffed shells dinner and it was great. I had steak tips marsala with peppers and onions. The marsala flavor was perfect. We had planned on desert, but that was impossible. We would have needed to be rolled out of the place. While not the cheapest place on the Grand Strand, sometimes that's not what you're looking for. I'd highly suggest Rossi's and I will surely be back!

Last Visit:October 2007 Rossi's recently went no-smoking in the dining room. Since I have asthma, that's important. We were looking forward to a nice dinner. We were very disappointed. I ordered the special but the waiter didn't let me know the price. $36 for 2 tough pieces of mystery fish (flounder?) with tough overdone shrimp and 2 really good scallops. They were all coated with crisp parmesean cheese with no flavor. The food was also room temperature. My husbands spaghetti and meatballs were also room temp. The table next to us had the same issue with their dinner. The dining room is too dark to see the menus easily but it sure is pretty. The waiter looked a little disheveled and spoke so quickly and softly I just gave up trying to understand him. Another table next to us just got up and left. The table of women seated after us kept asking for prices for the specials and he kept trying to evade the question but still sell the specials. It was VERY disappointing. We eat out alot and live in Myrtle Beach. We won't be back.

I was a little hesitant about trying Rossi's after reading the mixed reviews on here... but I am SO GLAD we did. First of all, the food was OUTSTANDING. I am originally from northern New Jersey AND I'm half-Italian so I do know decent Italian food from bad Italian food, and this was great. Ok the sauce wasn't SUPER but it was all right. Everything else was great. The bread was to die for, even the wine was great. Second, the service was GREAT... our waiter was very attentive. Also, the atmosphere was beautiful.... Very romantic, if you're with a date or someone special. My only teeny tiny complaint is that they dim the lights a little TOO much, you can barely read the menu or see your food, haha (and I have very good eyesight!). But that's ok, it was totally worth it. On a side note, I totally have the UTMOST respect for Rossi's for being voluntarily SMOKE FREE, and stating on the menu to take your cell phone calls outside and please remove "unhappy children" from the dining room... Awesome!!!! ;) I wish we had Rossi's here in Charlotte :)

This is my Favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. The food has always on every occasion been excellent. Our waiter on our last visit was fantastic, I particularly noted his efficiency and attention to detail, as well as his candor in guiding my wife and I with our selections. I had my perennial favorite Veal Oscar. It is not on the menu but they will gladly prepare it. My wife had the Veal Marsala. Both were Excellent. I made a reservation the night before, and arrived a few minutes early. "Right this way Mr. _____ , your table is ready. " The fellow that put his name on the list for a party of two ,as I walked up to the maitre de was told that there would be a 60 to 70 minute wait.(but still worth it ) -- Tip get a reservation.

A perfect dining experience.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants on the Grand Strand. I'm not a huge Italian food fan, but my wife is. We ate here and I was impressed with their filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly. The owner here clearly takes a lot of pride into this outfit. Very professional, clean, upscale, and classy. Whether you're taking a date or you're like me and it's your family of four, this is a great atmosphere. Very good dining experience.

WE LOVED IT!!! Can't wait to visit again. The food is excellent and the prices are fair for what you get. Have to try while you're in Myrtle Beach.

For all the hype , Rossis was a bust. It took us 45 minutes to get our salads and another 30 minutes to get our meal. Our waiter was no where to be found. The entrees tasted nothing like traditional Italian cuisine and were bland at best. If that red mess was Italian sauce , then I suggest a cooking class refresher.

The bill was the only memorable item. This was the worst value we experienced in Myrtle Beach !

What a wonderful place. I met my date in the bar and had a delicious meal. Then we went to the piano bar and danced the night away. I wish there were more places like this.

Nice atmosphere and good wait staff. However, the food was quite bland, and the marinara was no better than a jar of Ragu'. We had a pleasant meal, but had expected much more. Goes to show you that most people just do not know what good italian is....and this was average at best.

We were there last summer (2005) and were not impressed at all. My husband and I joke that we are professional eaters. For us, the food at Rossi's is just average and can not hold a candle to any Italian restaurant in the South Jersey - South Philly area.

I have travel to Myrtle Beach for the passed 15 years and stayed at the Kingston Plantation, however the highlight of my vacation is having dinner at Rossi's.

Rossi's staff and owners make you feel at home! They are so professional at the same time they make you feel special! I will always reccomend Rossi's as the "Best" in Myrtle Beach. If you do not go, it is your loss!!!

My wife and I were married in MB last Saturday 5/6/06. We had 30 guests and a reception followed at Rossi's. We tried it last year and scouted it. It was pretty good then. We have been dealing with the manager Scott since then and up to the wedding day. All I can say is wow!!! We pulled it off with out a hitch and couldn't have done it without Rossi's. All but three of the guests where from out of town and EVERYONE loved it . There were several Italians in the crowd, many second and third generation, tough critics. The bar and waitstaff were excellent. Though we did not have enough guests for a private room they were able to accomodate us in a back room. We didn't even notice the remaining few tables and the people eating, and believe me, they didn't mind, it was free entertainment to go with dinner. The food was excellent. The lasagna was stacked, the veal plentiful, and the chicken mouth watering. The sauces were perfect. Nothing precooked as we gave them the order inside of 24 hrs. Everything pounded to perfection and it was picture perfect. The timing on everything was impecable! The bread and wine were outstanding. Afterwords we all piled into the piano bar and literally took over. It was GREAT!!!!!!! So much fun. We all felt so welcomed and I'm sure I as well as others will return. Don't be afraid to plan an event here, just make sure u speak with Scott and only Scott! THANX

Great looking Italian restaurant. Excellent waiter (Jeff). I didn't complain about the food, but it was not close to the food I had heard so much about from Rossi's. My wife got the lasagna. It was dry and tasteless. I got the grilled tuna feature. It was overcooked and the scalops didn't taste fresh at all. I am not one to complain to a hard working wait staff so I just won't be going back. Sorry!

My brother in law and I were in myrtle for bike week in may 2005 we just happened to be in the area of Rossis and went in .We went back every nite for 5 days .The food is excellent, especially the sampler platters, which the bartender suggested. I dont remember his name but he made the best georgetown lemon drop martinis. And he was the nicest guy in the world. Will definitely be returning may 2006.

My boyfriend and I kicked off our Valentine's Day extravaganza weekend with this restaurant. First off, I love the presentation and atmosphere. I am a sucker for a dark and romantic ambience, the music was wonderful, and it smelled of delicious italian food (of course, why wouldn't it?). This has been the most expensive restaurant that my boyfriend and I have been to, I am quite the food critic, and for a 21 and 23 year old, we have been blessed to be able to go around to excellent restaurants. I noticed a comment about the calamari being too chewy, but our batch came out hot, fresh, and authentically delicious!! I have a Veal porterhouse special, to die for, that came with sauteed portabello mushrooms and red onions on top of it. I had it with fettuccine alfredo (mmmm delicious), My boyfriend had some kind of melange of italian sausage, bell peppers, red onions, and marinara sauce along with the fettuccine. All in All I loved it!! (THE ONLY THING was that there "seemed" to be so many 'mobbish or tough' looking italians or italian-americans there. I don't know why, but my boyfriend and I joked about being shot like in the Godfather the whole time. We were probably just being silly!)

I have eaten in many New York City italian retaurants and also in the Little Italy section of Trenton where I now live. I tried the food at Rossi's and can truly say it was the worst Italian food I have ever experienced. I had the lasagna and it tasted like they used sauce from a jar. Homemade lasagna it was not. My wife had the fried calamari and said they were chewy. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would never return.

As an oxygen user I was shocked to see signs at the front deck announcing that smoking is permitted anywhere in the restaurant. Had we not been with a large group my husband and I would have left. None in our group smoked and we were all wondering why any restaurant in this day and age would have such a policy! There were plenty of dining rooms so it seemed inexcusable to not have more consideration for customers desires. Also, there was even a machine, ugly and out of place, sitting in this elegant restaurant lobby and selling tobacco products. What kind of a statement are they trying to make? The service was excellent and the food was fine but we will never return to Rossi's.

My wife ordered Seafood Bisque and it tasted stale and lemony and not creamy at all. Food was warm not hot. We ordered the "special" which was Veal steak with some shrimp and special sauce. Veal was thick as a filet. Terrible and tough. The side dish of fettucini was cold and dry. $36.00. Most I have ever paid for an entree. Shame on me I'll not be polite and ask how much next time.

Best Fettuccini I have ever had! Before dinner we had to wait in the bar area adjacent to the restaurant where there was live music and a great dance floor - very enjoyable and made the wait time go by fast. The music in the diningroom was a little loud and the lights just a little too dim, but overall our whole experience was terrific!
