Where do I start. This place was horrible. When we first arrived we were looked up and down before being seated. We ordered pizza which was dry and had too much cheese (frozen pizza is better). In addition, the service is poor. Our waitress never came to the table to check and make sure everything was OK or to even offer to refill our glasses. To top it off, the waitress never brought back my credit card and when I noticed the next morning, I found out that someone at the restuarant used it to make purchases at the grocery store Bi-Lo. I will never go here again nor will I recommend it to anyone..in fact, I am pressing charges on the restuarant!!

We ate there with our two children and found it to be a good value as compared with more expensive restaurants at Barefoot Landing. It was nice change of pace from eating seafood. We would go back again.

My husband and I come to dine here 2-3 times a year for date night. We are locals and love this restaurant because of the atmosphere and for our favorite dish: Chicken Marsala. Other seafood dishes we have tried are very good as well but I've had their lasagna and prefer to let Olive Garden satisfy my craving. The portions you get leave you quite full, and I usually pass my dish over to my 6' 3 husband for him to finish. They serve a salad and garlic bread before your meal arrives, both are very good. The Chicken Marsala comes with two large pieces of chicken along with a side of spaghetti, which we are too full to eat. (Consider requesting they not send it along.) The service is very fine, you will always find a diverse ethnic wait staff any time of the year. We have never had to wait for seating, but the restaurant does keep quite busy all times of the year.

I am from Hartsville SC, and my husband and I visited this restaurant for our aniversary. No one referred us to this restaurant we just stopped because the food smelled good from the road! The waitresses were very very nice. We left a large tip because the food was so good and the waitresses were so helpful and friendly. We have now decided to make it "our special Place" to go for romantic events. I really enjoyed it and recommand it to everyone. The portion sizes were large and the garlic bread was great. It's 100 percent better than Olive Garden!

I had travelled to SC for the first time. I had been told to find this place from the begining, but never made it until the last 2 days of our trip. What a mistake! Great food! Just like back home. Dave, and his staff, were excellent. He even took some time to spend at our table. A gentleman and a hard worker. South Carolina should be proud to have a great establishment such as this. With so many choices of food, don't waste your time or appetite. Go straight to Ramando's for the sure thing in taste and service. Seen you next year! Thanks.

Just returned from Myrtle Beach, the one night we drove around looking for a place to eat and just happend to stop here, we were glad we did, this restaurant has excellent food, i had Chicken Parm with Ziti and my son had Lasagna, the sauce was very tasty and our dishes included a salad that was very good also. The cost was very reasonable. The waitress was freindly and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Would go back on our next trip.

Been going here for years. This year 2008 was really bad. My chicken was very hard to cut. I had only a butter knife. I told them & they offered to cook another chicken. I told them no (didn't want to wait for it). Was charged full price for dinner. Me and my friend will never go back to this place.

We are locals and have been eating here for over 20 years. Recently the food level has been on the decline. After dining there last night for the last time I saw two dishes go back to the kitchen. My Chicken Ramanodo appearance and taste was nothing like it used to be. One waitress sat down at another table to take a guests order. I think I'll wait a while to back to let whatever is happening settle. I see that most of the servers that have been there many many years are gone.

I am from Connecticut but I worked for Dave in the 90's. He was not only a nice and generous boss, but he is one of the hardest workers that I ever met. I can tell you that his place is immaculate and I would have continued to work their but I moved back to Ct. to become an english professor. I am born amd raised on the east coast where the best Italian food is from (NY) and I can tell you that Ramandos is an incredible Italian restaurant. Audra Cort-Riccitelli - Branford, CT

Being 'Locals', we have been dining at Ramandos for more than 12 years. Even though service is usually slow, we would enjoy a glass of wine and a cigarette while patiently waiting for our food....GOOD food. Although the quality of the food has recently begun to decline and the service has worsened (Is the normally diligent owner playing hooky?).

We were still faithful customers UNTIL we were told that the very small smoking section of the restaurant- 6 tables in an isolated corner - has been removed. When we asked why we were told that "smokers take up too much table time".

So, after 12 years of loyal year-round patronage, we're out of there. If our average expenditure of $50.00 per meal twice a month isn't worth an hour of table time, we'll spend it somewhere else.

My fiance and I decided to try Ramandos a few years back, and has decided that this is one of the best Italian restaurants that we have been to.

The service is excellent and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in Italy.

The smell of fresh herbs when you walk in the door makes your chops water. We are also greatful that the prices are low and we even have to take home boxes.

I rate this place as above excellent, specially because it's a family owned restaurant and there is no other like it. Be sure to give it a try.

We love Ramando's! We've been there every year for the past 5 or 6 years in a row, ever since we discovered it. I've had two birthdays there. There is never a wait and the food is extremely tasty, traditional, and the portions are very generous. The owners are very personable and very friendly. Give this place a shot and you won't be disappointed.

Great restaurant. I went there for my friend's graduation dinner this past weekend. The food and drinks were very appropriately traditional. The presentation was homestyle and simple - something that I appreciate in Italian food. Prices were moderate and portions generous. Waitstaff was surprisingly friendly. The toasted ravioli appetizer was very good, as was the house Merlot.

Oh - and save room for dessert. Tiramisu was out of this world.
