Really pleasant surprise. Restaurant is a little outside the main area in Myrtle Beach. Very nice atmosphere. Food was excellent, and it was the first hot dinner we had in a week. We were a party of 11. Our waiter, Dean, was outstanding and extremely personable. They had a female singer with a beautiful voice. Best dinner we had in many trips to Myrtle Beach. ref: 25628 |

We have been "snowbirding" in Myrtle Beach for the past 9 years. We "discovered" Pomodoro's just last year and have been there over 5 times since. It is our new favorite Italian restaurant. If you love Italian food like Eggplant Parm you will not be disappointed. The last time we were there, two in our party had the ribeye and said it was delicious and tender. I personally love the Tortellini. Visit. You will make it your favorite. ref: 24806 |

Coming to Myrtle Beach from NY in 2004 we were not certain that we would find restaurants in MB that would live up to some of the great restaurants in NY. Well, we did at Pomodoros, fabulous quality food cooked to perfection. Great service, a terrific staff all around. The restaurant is clean with a great atmosphere. In the seven years that we are in MB, Pomodoros is certainly our #1 restaurant.
It would be your misfortune not to enjoy a meal at this fine restaurant. A Great Happy Hour Too !! ref: 23926 |

I'm a Jersey Girl, but live in Charlotte for the past 8 years and come down to Myrtle to work every few months. I love italian food and had never been to Pomodoro's before. I had never heard of it before. I happen to be looking on a site for any restaurants besides the usual Outback and Carrabas. We made a reservation for 4 at 8pm and arrived to find the parking lot a little more then half full but not what I expected for a Saturday night (graduation night also) so I was a little worried. However, I was delightfully surprised with a fabuolus meal and service. Jesse was our server and was on top of everything. We were out to celebrate my daughters 19 birthday also and had a great surprise when the singer came to the table with the microphone and spoke with us and sang Happy Birthday (thank you Jesse) We had a sirlion, chicken marsala and a manicotti dish along with a kids spaghetti and appetizer of baked mozarella. The desserts and coffee was a great end to the meal and being able to sit, talk and relax by the fireplace was just something perfect for us. I thank you to the staff/cooks and will definetly be back very soon! A+++++ ref: 22540 |

This is our favorite Italian place in MB and we are Italian Locals!! I've never had a bad meal, and the staff is friendly and makes you feel like one of the family! Yes, we've waited for our food sometimes, but good things are always worth waiting for. Chef Mario from Billerica Massacheusetts needs to go back to Massachusetts and learn how to spell. Appitizer? Retauraunt? Please!! He didn't even spell Massachusetts correctly! We'll be taking guests there tonight as we have become "regulars". ref: 20044 |

We loved everything about this restaurant. The food was great! My husband was born in Italy and we know Italian food. We ate there twice in the last week. The service was good. The chef, Mike visited our table and was very nice. The atmosphere was very Italian....reminded us of a place we ate in Italy. The prices were average. We like to dine early so we were seated immediately. This is our Italian restaurant from now on when we visit Myrtle Beach. ref: 16680 |

My husband and I had dinner here last night. The place was practically empty so we were a bit wary. However, the atmosphere is lovely, our server, Chris, was great as was the food. My husband had the Veal Marsala and I had the Veal Parmesan. Both were outstanding. My husband also had the Pasta Fagiole soup which was delicious. Bread was fresh. The only thing I would do differently is ask for the salad dressing on the side. It was a bit too heavy for my taste. The owner/manager did not come over to the table. Who cares?! If we're happy with everything, we don't need a personal greeting. This was our first trip to Pomodoro's and we have been coming to MB for over 20 years. We plan to return to this restaurant on our next visit. ref: 16646 |

I am so excited to have discovered Pomodoro's, conveniently located between Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach Airport. This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is absolutely delightful--Italian music playing, brick interior, fireplace, low lighting and very clean. The wait staff are very professional. Most importantly, the food is wonderful. My father, who grew up in Italy, loved the food, so that says it all. I ordered the Manicotti. Excellent. The bread is wonderful, and so are the stuffed mushrooms which we had for an appetizer. My parents visited the restaurant a second time in the same week. We had to go back home, but next time we are in Myrtle Beach, we plan to go back to Pomodoro's. ref: 16583 |

Noisy, food tasted like it came out of the microwave. Some of it was hot and some cold. Obviously not an Italian chef. Service was just as bad. I will move on to a real Italian restaurant next time hopefully. ref: 14414 |

My wife and I have been coming here since the opening. We have gotten to know Ralph and love this place. However, for whatever reason, the new "owners/leasee" has changed the tone of the restaurant. Contrary to Ralph, the original owner and Mike the manager, the new owner does not introduce himself nor even bother to speak or ask if you experience was good or not. Although we love the staff, it is becoming harder and harder to frequent the restaurant due to the poor attitude of the new "owner". He also steps 3 foot outside the front door of the restaurant and smokes a cigarette, and refuses to open the restaurant door for a female patron. I worry that one of our favorite places may be doomed due to this recent change. Hopefully, someone can come along and give the new owner a bit of personality and respect for his loyal customers! It's ashamed but a great establishment has lost it's personal touch! A concerned local Myrtle Beach SC couple. ref: 14239 |

We are 5 couples who eat out quite regularly in MB and we had reservations for Valentine's Day at 6PM to beat the crowds. We were not told at the time of the reservation that there would be a "special" menu for that evening. We weren't fully seated and the staff was handing out the menu. The menu said that soup, salad, bread, sorbet, veggies, and pasta or potato were included in the price. There were only 6 items to choose from. Only 2 Italian items: eggplant and shrimp fra diablo. The waitress was NOT a happy person that evening and we knew it. No one noticed that our soups were sitting on a tray while she was taking our orders...watered down egg drop soup with a few pieces of pasta and 2 spinach leaves floating and room temp. $18 for eggplant and it didn't come with pasta or veggies. The haddock was supposed to be lightly breaded, but was deep fried. We were not offered coffee/dessert. The waitress just brought out the checks and 4 out of 5 were incorrect. No one in the party wanted to make a scene, so nothing was said about the poor service, etc. However, a phone call was made the next day to the manager, whose only real response was Valentine's Day is their busiest day of the year. The restaurant was not crowded and there were empty tables. $75 for 2 people--what a rip off. With all the restaurants closing in MB, you would think that they would take care of couples willing to spend $$. ref: 13962 |

What a great restaurant! Once the staff knows your name, they seem to never forget you, and they make you feel most welcome. I was there last evening, and was amazed that four different people (including 2 of the managers), came over and shook my hand and called me by name......and above that, the food is awesome. Pomodoro's is now also open for lunch.....can't wait to give it a try. I'm one Myrtle Beach resident, who appreciates the community involvement of this establishment....I was pleased to see them serving complimentary Hot Chocolate to the thousands of folks who attended the Tree Lighting festivities at the Convention Center recently...Keep up the good work. ref: 13408 |

I've been to a LOT of Italian restaurants. I've liked almost every one of them because the food is good and the price is reasonable. 4 of us went here and 3 of the meals were not good to average. Mine was the best because I know to order basic in a new place........Way over priced and going by our 4 different meals, the food was less than mediocre. (None of us are fussy type people). There are too many places to eat for us to give this place a second chance. ref: 12960 |

My wife and I have lived in the area for the past 7 years, migrating down from the Boston suburbs. Your restaurant is by far one of the best in authenic Italian cuisine accented with novel little extra's such as the thick crusted bread and buttery roasted garlic in olive oil. That along with Bocelli in the background makes Pomodoro's Trattoria an authentic culinary experience to remember. We highly recommend it. ref: 12032 |

This is a hidden gem in MB. I have just moved here from the northeast and was a chef and restaurant owner. Most of the restaurants on the Grand Strand serve "tourist food" and are overpriced with mediocre food quality and preparation. This place shines above the rest with homemade pastas, authentic sauces and a great atmosphere. Frankly, I am glad this place is a little off the beaten path, that way I can always get a seat. ref: 10223 |

This was our third or forth visit here. We started going here because we are kinda friends with the chef, Sean. Well, we went here on 11/10, and found out that he is no longer working there. The host was kinda abrupt with our inquiry of Sean, even though we explained that we were friends. He went on and on of how the new chef has 30 years experience, as if that decides good food. That didn't matter, we weren't leaving to go eat somewhere else.
We were first seated by the kitchen, the main dinning room was closed for a private party. I question why restaurants have seats by the kitchen. The noise, the smells, etc... We were moved at our request. It obviously wasn't the best night to go as far as seating was concerned.
Well, the menu didn't change at all, which is good. There were even more specials than I remembered previously. The food tasted fine, great actually. The only thing was there was alot of oil used. Granted, chicken parm is fried. But it was as if it was then baked in a pool of oil with the sauce and cheese. And my father got some sort of pasta primavera (sp?). I've made this at home, and perhaps it's my recipe, but I don't use oil. This was litterally a pool of oil, and whatever sauce was used. Perhaps an oil based sauce. I thought perhaps it was pesto, since that uses oil. I can't stress the OIL enough.
I will continue to go back. It's a new chef, and I doubt he is the one doing the sole cooking. Perhaps he's learning, who knows. Maybe it was a bad night. That happens at even the best of places. We miss Sean, but we did find out he is going to be at the Market Common. So we will go there, and continue to go here. ref: 9239 |

Did not tell the at waiter and He did not ask why I did not eat the chicken. By the way. i am a chef. My andrea is at CCU. Driving me to the Airport. When we finished the people next to us still did not get there meal. You have a beutiful restaurant Waiters need a lot of work. The bar was slow. The dinningroom was moderate.
You need some help with the cook. I am not looking for anything. Just some advise. Constructive. I have been cooking for 30+ years. I am from Boston's North end. I will be there in October. Family day. We will be going out to eat. Some 6,000 Family and friends. Please call me. 617-648-6456.

We visited for the first time in July and will definitely return next time we are in Myrtle. We had a reservation. The atmosphere was so authentic and pleasant. Our waiter (David) was both prompt and entertaining. We ordered Lasagna, alfredo, spaghetti, and a dish with lobster ( a large piece), shrimp and mussels in a sauce on pasta (this was to die for!!). The general manager (Mike) came to talk to us and see if we needed anything (he is a personal friend of ours). We really think that the prices are very reasonable and the portions are large. ref: 7673 |

What a welcome difference from the ordinary food served at the crowded, noisy spots on the main drag!
We were able to be seated right away (it was a weekday) and found the atmosphere to be elegant yet family-friendly, nicely decorated with an authentic feel.
Tables and booths are private. The serving staff were very attentive; available but not bothersome.
The menu seemed to have both the traditional Italian favorites as well as some creations by the chef. There is a nice children's selection as well as several vegetarian dishes.
The staff seemed to have good knowledge of the nice wine list.
The portions were generous and worth the price. ref: 6661 |

This is one of Myrtle Beach's best kept secrets! The food and service are excellent. Fresh roasted garlic spreads like butter on the house baked bread. The tomato sauce is a prefect balance of sweet and tangy. The Chicken Maria (w/breaded eggplant, prosciuto & mozzarella) is very flavorful. Veal is fork tender. A SeaBass special one night was also excellent. Portions are not huge, but much larger than other upscale restaurants. (You won't leave hungry!) The wait staff is very personable and friendly - they even open the door for you when you arrive! If you are looking for traditional Italian dining with a modern twist, give Pomodoros a try! ref: 6535 |
