The best place in Myrtle Beach for breakfast . We go to different restaurants for lunch and dinner but always go to the plantation house for breakfast. No place better.

While dining at the "La Poulangerie Blanc" in Paris over the holiday with a few friends, a lively discussion over the best breakfast eateries in the world ensued between the four of us. The Pancake Plantation in Myrtle Beach was mentioned several times. The atmosphere was comprable to any five star restaurant I've ever eaten at. My dining companion for the evening, Anthony Bourdain said "it was the finest breakfast cuisine I had ever experienced in over four continents of fine dining." The maple syrup dressing used in, and dare I say on the pancakes, reminded me of a Fritz Haber meets Battle of Ypres nabokovian encounter. I am reminded of a certain Ernest Hemingay quote "to read books is fine, but to read a pancake is even finer" when I think of the hoecakes I masticated on at this eating establishment. The scrambled eggs served to us that evening proved to be a considerable gambit to my lower intestine, but in a way only a true lover of Kierkegaard could enjoy. Lets just say after that nihilistic adventure, I'm a true pragmatist in the most existential sense. I would recommend pancake plantation to any and everyone looking to have their taste buds titilated. Also, the African Americans that served us were delightful.

This was the worst breakfast I ever had, eggs and pancakes were both ice cold and my ham was tougher than the sole of my shoe. This place is dingy and old and the plates and cups were chipped and broken and had a funny smell. Would not recommend.

The St. Patrick's Day parade made it hard to get to our favorite Golden Griddle, so we tried here instead. Big mistake. Should have known better when the sign said "New Management" and "Cooks Wanted." The short stack of pancakes had two that were at least 30% different in size and both were very thin. Prepackaged "spread" and cold syrup in a pitcher on the table instead of real butter and warm syrup. Biscuits and gravy: $4.25 got two small biscuits (pretty good) with what looked and tasted like wallpaper paste with about 4x the amount of pepper that even a pepper-lover like me would want. No sign of the alleged sausage in there. No wonder the place was empty on a Saturday morning. You will question this review when you see how quaint it looks and how large the parking lot is, but the only good thing about it is the sassy waitresses. Nobody else in the place, including the apparent owner, seemed to exhibit any sign of customer service ability. It's a travesty to call yourself a pancake house if you can't do better than this overpriced, low-quality food.

The senior and kids menu is crazy cheap. Our group of 11 ordered and got their meals pretty quick. The service was on par for a diner, and the food was good. No complaints here.

Waiter took a long time to take our order and never returned once we had our food for drink refills. We (and the table beside us) had to literally flag him down to get him to bring the check. He also charged us $1.50 for a small child's tea. Breakfast for my husband, my 2 yr old and myself came to $30! For pancakes and a waffle!!

I have eaten at this restaurant several times. We go to the beach each year. The pancakes here are good, and if you order the bacon crispy, it comes that way. For a coffee house type restaurant it is good. I was disappointed in the omlet I got the last time we went, it had canned mushrooms in it instead of fresh. Personally, I thought Omega was better, and that's where we'll be eating when we go this year.

Have visited for breakfast on several golf / family beach trips and this pancake house is top drawertrip in food quality, amount, price and offer local artist work of original value as a benefit for both customer and artist-that states/says a lot for this eatery. A good place to begin your day and end your trip with a good meal-got here for a treat!

We ordered the Grand Strand omelet which was dry and kind of small for the price ($6.75). The waitress took a very long time to bring us the bill. We were hoping for a better experience, but we will be moving on to the next pancake house.

Had $20 in pocket abd bill came to $21. Put it on a credit card with no tip and left cash for the tip. They added a tip to the credit card charge as well. 30% tip was not deserved.

We eat here every chance we get when we come to Myrtle Beach. The service is impeccable, and the food delicious, hot, and exactly as ordered. The restaurant is spacious, booths are roomy, and windows everywhere. Definitely our favorite place for breakfast!
