Arrived at 7:15 PM on Valentine's night for a 7:30 PM reservation. Was seated by 7:35 PM. Our order for bottle of wine and entrees was placed in a timely manner. David (our waiter) was very good. Length of time for food to be served from kitchen was POOR. Noticed couples that had been seated after us receiving their food. When we left at 9:40 PM, I mentioned problem to dark-haired hostess. She stated that restaurent had served 300 people. When I mentioned that other people received their meal before us even though they had been seated 30 minutes after us, she acted like it was my fault. Slow kitcehn service and her attitude ruined my night. I have eaten at restaurant on many occasions before and always been well pleased.

My wife and I recently were in North Myrtle Beach on vacation. As we have done for many years, we always make it a point to have dinner at Parson's Table. We have never been disappointed. My wife had the Prime Rib and I had the fish special. Both were excellent and my wife rated the prime rib as the best she has ever had anywhere. My fish dinner was supurb. I have highly recommended this establishment to all of my friends and none of them have ever been disappointed. Keep up the good work.

As a "local" and restaurant employee its always hard for me to decide on an establishment to dine at when family comes to visit. My cousin and I decided to try it out and to my delight it was wonderful!!!! I work locally and I have to say the quality of the filet and the whole meal in general was absolutely amazing. My husband and I will be making this a regular, local dining out spot!

July 2008 -- This was the worst dining experience of our vacation. We had such wonderful memories of eating at The Parson's Table in years past, but this was a disaster. We had reservations for 10. All 10 of us were very disappointed in our food. The prime rib was too tough to cut. The sea food was almost inedible. The steak and oysters was not a good combination. We should have complained then, but we did not. Our server was obnoxious, offering us no opportunity to order appetizers and seemed offended when we did order them anyway. We couldn't wait to leave and will definitely never return!

We visited the restaurant for the first time last week and can't stop talking about the fabulous food and atmosphere. I tried the grilled duck breast with raspberry demi glace and savored every scrumptious bite! The duck was perfectly cooked - everyone in our party loved their chosen dish and we can't wait to go back. I do agree with the reviewer who said the chairs were uncomfortable, but that is my one and only negative point. Fantastic restaurant!

First of all, I would like to compliment the Hostess and her understanding of seating my girlfriend and I in area where there was no small children. The hostess asked me if that would be okay to wait and I accepted. The wait staff was very personable and courteous in their manners dealing with us as their guests. Food was brought out in a timely manner. The food was very good, starting from the cheese and crackers, to the house salad, and the full course meal. I would recommend this place of fine dining to anyone who likes historic places and non chain restaurants.

My parents have been going to the Parson's table for 12 years and until this year it was ther favorte restaurant. In the past, there were a lot of patrons there, We were there at 7 pm on a Friday night and there were very few people.

We had dinner there......... 6 meals, two of us had the ribeye with the red onion marmalade - it was excellent. Four of them had meals that were horriible..

Two of us had Little River Shrimp and Sea Scallops - the shrimp was overcooked and the scallops were flavorless, undercooked and mushy.......rice was good..

The Cornbreaded flounder - was nothing special at all..

My dad had scallops, they were undercooked and flavorless..

It is their last trip to the Parson's table.....it's a shame as the restaurant is darlng........but we all agree if you are in the mood for a great meal go to Greg Norman's Austrailan Grill......food was outstand there as was the presentation.

So many of our friends love this restaurant, but after eating there once years ago, we weren't really fans. A friend talked us into trying it again between Thanksgiving and Christmas -I'm glad that he paid. The food was okay, but the service was SO lousy that it was almost comic, because we weren't expecting a lot. Our waitress was in a really bad mood and if I knew her name, I'd tell you. We were never offered refills on coffee, tea or water, during our entire meal. I did ask nicely for more water and our waitress brought only my water, not one else got refills until they specifically asked for them too. There are so many nice restaurants in North or Myrtle, with actual SERVERS. (people who SERVE their customers) Duh.

For a first and last time visit, the four of us had the worst dining experience ever in MB. I had heard from others that the food was not so good, and we had to try it for ourselves. They were right! 3 of 4 dinners served were not edible and promptly returned. The owner was gracious enough to remove the dinners from our bill, but that does not compensate for the quality of the meals served. Very disappointing as it is a lovely setting to have dinner.

The Parson's Table is quite different than the other restaurants in Myrtle Beach. It was nice to get "dressed up" and go to a finer establishment, rather than the typical buffets ("yuck") and the fried food places. The meal was good, but the atmosphere was even better.

Wonderful food and excellent service. Had a large party made reservations for 20. Our waitress Jody was wonderful. She catered to us and we had a delicious meal. All ordered something different and everyone enjoyed. The salad is wonderful. The staff makes you feel at home. They are all friendly and eager to when when asked. Would be going back year after year.

The food here is excellent, but, in our experience, it came with a not-so-delectable side dish of aloofness. Some of our party arrived about 5 minutes after our reservation time, and we were treated coldly. This restaurant rests on its laurels. It is a favorite spot -- and they make sure that you know that. A constructive criticism is that they need to pay more attention to customer relations and less on admiring the reflection of their own image.

After reading so many good reviews my wife and I ate at PT. What a disapointment! I ordered a ribeye steak, my wife ordered shrimp and scallops. The steak was virtually inedible. It was the toughest steak I've EVER been served. The scallops were good. The shrimp were rubberized. All the vegetables were very over cooked. The service was great and the steak was removed from our bill. The atmosphere is cute in the old church section. In the added on section they apparently decided they didn't need the help of a designer. Guess what, they did. It's quite stark.

Sorry folks, there must be better choices.

Beautiful, beautiful restaurant! Mr. Frye's efforts to salvage for posterity those stained glass windows AND the church, and his vision for combining the two, is to be lauded and emulated, if possible. We arrived early for our reservation (7:30), but was able to be seated before our reserved time. Our waitress, Heather, was very attentive (but not intrusively so) and added so much charm to our experience. Our compliments to the chef for an outstanding meal for both of us. Can hardly wait to return!

I have been visting Myrtle Beach, Little River area for over 40 years, about 6 years ago our accountant,CPA, recommended we try....rather...... "If you don"t , you can't believe what you"re missing "....... The Parson"s Table...This recommendation has led us to our favorite dining experience of all the Grand Strans"s finest.....We book a dinner at least once each year , and last year it was so good, we came back the next night....I would recommend advance reservations, otherwise it may be a long wait.........The word"s out., and it"s really good.......

I loved the cornbread encrusted grouper, the suggested wine was very good and reasonably priced, and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that the chairs were very uncomfortable. It felt like we were sitting in church. It seems it would be worth their money to invest in some new and more comfortable chairs.

Our first trip to Myrtle Beach and the short drive to Little River was well worth the trip. We're from a resort area in WI and have many fine restaurants and The Parson's Table doesn't take a back seat to any of them. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding and the prices were reasonable. We'll probably vacation in the area again and will certainly make The Parson's Table a "must do".

For fine dining, this cannot be beaten. You'll be treated like royalty and the atmosphere is truly unique. Quirky though, there is only one kind of salad and you have a choice of one dressing--the house dressing. The salad is nice, but other choices would be equally nice. Great service, nice atmosphere, good food.

We travel quite a bit, and Parson's Table rates as one of the top five restaurants we have ever eaten in. Their food is always beautifully prepared and presented, the flavor top notch. Their beef is always done to our liking, and the seafood dishes rank as good as that of any major restaurant in the country. Manhattan lovers will really like the way this drink is prepared. Fine wine selection at not outrageous prices. We rarely eat desserts, but at this restaurant we almost always make an exception. Best of the Beach. In fact best of the entire Southeastern US. First Class. Will be eating dinner there on New Year's eve.

We have been dining at the parson's table each winter season for the pasr ten years. We have tried most of the seafood and beef entrees but I believe their baby back ribs are the best I have ever tasted. We plan on dining there several times this winter season. The murray family make certain of your satisfaction. The house salad is a must..

We were a party of eight, were offered seating in the traffic flow area, asked for a different table and were seated in another room without too much fanfare.

Although most were generally satisfied with their meals, I have never had a more disappointing lobster tail. It was extremely salty and without much flavor beyond the salt. It did not taste fresh as I would have expected being in an ocean community. As for the service the waitress mumbled something incoherent into my ear about remaking my dinner so that all but two of us were served initially. This was not the restaurant experience I was led to believe it would be and I'll likely not return.

What unique surroundings! The roughhewn beauty of the interior and stained glass of this old church was a special setting for an excellent meal. An extremely comprehensive wine list is available and at the lowest prices we have EVER seen. (Many are about retail, which is unheard of) The noise level was slightly higher than utopian, but that comes with the ambience.

I am surprised there are not more reviews . Absotutely one of the best restaurants around. Everything we've had has been prepared superbly. The filet mignon is a personal favorite. I marked it down one for noise since the owner sometimes is prone to sing "Happy Birthday " or "Irish Eyes" to a patron when the spirit moves him.

We travel from Oregon to Myrtle Beach every year to experience that warm, southern sunshine and hospitality. We read, soak up the sun, and our biggest decision of the day is where to have dinner that evening. Invariably we are drawn back to Parsons Table for its superior quality dinners and quiet ambience. The early bird specials are wonderful, but often we wander into the main menu for its expanded chioces. Our all-time favorites are Little River Shrimp and Scallops and, when available, the Carpetbagger. Dependable and consistent, this restaurant can't be beat!
