I know this is late as I just found this site to leave a review. We visited in May 2012. They did not have unsweetened iced tea and we ordered a hotdog (which sounded good) and the crab cakes. The server was rude when he found out we were not ordering alcohol. Our food was terrible at best. The hotdog had a strange taste and was like rubber and the crab cakes were burned and oil soaked. I ate less than half the dog and my wife only ate 1/2 of a crab cake. Needless to say we will NEVER return to this dive.

This place has the best fish tacos. I stop by here every year just to get them and this year, they're still as good as I remember them. A generous helping of grouper, tasty wasabi sauce (nice twist) but the thing that makes them really great is that the tortillas are grilled for a salty, crunchy effect. Our waitress was super nice and always attentive. This place is right on the boardwalk and it's pretty open air when all the doors are open so the ambiance is great. We got there early and we were finishing up dinner as the band was setting up. We walked on the boardwalk after dinner and doubled back past the Oceanfront Grill on our way home and heard the band playing and they were very good too. Definite recommend.

Went here; got service within a very resonable amount of time. However, was an hour or more before food was delivered and it was luke warm to say the best. The place was busy, but there were empty tables, etc. so was not overwhelmed with business. Would not go back. Must say we did get a discount because of the wait--that was good. However, eating cold fish, well, just wasn't eaten so left hungry.

The only great thing about this place is the location and the ocean breeze. It looks like it's 100 years old and kind of dumpy. I suspect there is next to no alcohol in the drinks and the food is absolutely terrible. I've had better food at the ballpark. Burn the menu, hire a real cook(s) and start over. Total waste of a perfectly good ocean front location.

We are locals and visit the oceanfront quite often. 9 out of 10 times that we go to the boardwalk we stop in Oceanfront Bar and Grill for food and drinks. I love the place. The bathrooms are not that great but I realize that the place is always packed with patrons and most of them come right in off the beach. I have owned a beach bar myself so I know how hard it is to keep the bathrooms clean. The House band is good if you like the Raggae feel. Fun times every time we enter the place. Must visit.

The only thing positive I can say about this place is the view was beautiful. Other than that, the food and drinks were over priced, the restaurant smelled like garbage, the bathrooms were full of flies and just disgusting, and the service was horrible. We waited over half an hour for our food, and it took 10 minutes just to get a refill on our drinks. The band was good but way too loud. I don't think I will ever go back.

We really enjoyed this restaurant except the bathrooms were disgusting with lots of flys. The restaurant overall had a beer smell. We are young adults who enjoy drinking with an ocean view so we had a great time and got past those issues. The food was great and the service great also. I am assuming the manager needs to be the one at fault for the bathrooms being so gross. I would recommend this place to a friend because of the atmosphere of the ocean but would warn them about those issues.

What happened to this place? It used to be one of the best spots in myrtle beach to dine and just enjoy the atmosphere. The service is horrendous. A bunch of young kids who act like you are bothering them just to be there. In years past they had the world's best footlong coney. Now the hot dog tastes and looks like it has set under a heating lamp for about 2 hours. They have a live band that is extremely loud. Dont plan on conversation with the person next to you. Used to go every year. Will never go back.

It's a bar... facing the ocean. They charge you for a cup of ice water regardless if you're eating there or not. The food is typical bar fare. Nothing special. The experience is neat seeing as how it's one of the few ocean front dining establishments in Myrtle Beach. I doubt I'd go back to eat there. Drink? Yeah I'd drink there. I definitely wouldn't eat there again.

We arrived at 8:00pm and there were about 15 patrons in the bar. We sat down in front of the bartender, who looked over at us and then walked away. There was another couple next to us who also had been waiting for service. Our bartender began a conversation with a younger staff member while ignoring us. It looked like the manager was there running around. He was rolling cash register receipts. No one said, "I'll be with you in a minute" or "Just give me a few minutes". NOTHING.

The cooks in the kitchen saw us and were talking while we sat for I kid you not, "10" minutes and no one took our order. Finally, after watching the bartender twirl her hair with her finger while flirting with the staff member, we got up and the other couple got up and we all left.

We will not be back. I can tell you this. Services is poor, we ate their one other time and the hot dog, nachos and grouper fillets were below average. High cost, poor food.

When you are in a restaurant by the ocean on the new boardwalk and the staff is larger than the patrons and no one gets served, well, that's a problem!

Go there every time we go to the beach. I have always heard that you can judge how clean the kitchen is by how clean the restroom is - if that is the case - your kitchen is filthy!

I ordered a chili footlong and chili cheese fries. The chili was really runny, and there wasnt much meat in it. I was craving a chili dog all day and when I finally got one there, I was very disappointed. My boyfriend got a footlong with kraut, and it was very dry. He was not pleased either. There are definately better places to get a footlong in the area. They also put way too much ice in the drinks! I did however, enjoy the ocean front view.

I absolutely love this place my father took us here every time we came to MB and I took my son and husband last year and he has fell in love the place also. He is latino and is pretty picky about chicken wings but he said this is the one place that actually makes real wings not cooked and hot sauce thrown over top. Their food and service is the best I hope they remain there for many years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We always visit the Oceanfront Bar and Grill in Myrtle Beach. We vacation at least twice a year and it is always a stop on our agenda. We never fail to stop in, if only for a nice cold draft. It is the most awesome place on the beach to have a drink and look out at the water. Nice ocean breeze and a fun atmosphere. Our children love it also.

The place by the Pavilion was just awful. I visited on the afternoon of June 12th. The place was empty, 6 people were standing around doing nothing. They still managed to bring me the wrong beer. They also were very rude and would not give me change for the US Dollars that the parking meter issued. They thought it was arcade money. Overall the employees were not very bright. They have good location but no business. I wonder why.
