Review: This place has really went downhill. Alot of the sauces where very bland and they all tasted the same.Some of the chicken dishes tasted like they had been on the buffet table for a long time.They where dried out and not very tender at all. Even the fried rice seemed dry and over cooked. This was dinner time and evrything should of been fresh. I will not be back again. This was one of the worst meals I've had in Myrtle Beach.

Review: The food on the buffet is good. The food on the grill is very good. The prime rib and crab legs are very delicous. Service is above average and you are seated immeadiatly. One of the premier Chinease restruants in Myrtle Beach.

Review: My wife wanted some chinese food so we decided to try this out. We were both VERY disappointed with the food. The service was great, but the food wasn't good at all. We both left there feeling sick to our stomachs. We will not visit this restaurant again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Review: My family ate at this restaurant while on vacation. We were seated immediately which was great. The food was ok. They were starting to get busy and the lady that seated us (not our waiter) started taking our plates before we were finished eating. She was making us feel very uncomfotable. I know that they needed room for other people, but we had paid just like everyone else. A man threw up in front of the dessert bar. My daughter told our waiter and someone finally came and run a mop over it after several people had stepped in it. They did not bother to clean the dessert bar or do any sanitizing. Needless to say we were finished eating at this time and will not return. How do we know what they are doing back in the kitchen if this is the way they clean around customers. Also, look closely at your bill, they charged us $3.70 too much.

Review: Going to a buffet in a tourist area isn't going to be great dining experience. If you want really good food, go to a sit down restaurant that has a menu. If you are picky about your food quality or have food allergies, don't go to a buffet. If you feel that $25.00 per person for a seafood buffet with crab legs is too much, don't eat there. Snow crab legs for those of us who are land-locked at home are usually $20 a pound, which is about three good sized clusters off the buffet. If I eat double that (which I normally do) then it's worth it.
OK, done ranting. Ocean Garden was good for a buffet in a tourist area and no one in my party of 9 got sick. The mix of food was decent, but I would have liked to have seen more Chinese food from this mostly Chinese restaurant. The American food was OK too, according to the non-seafood eaters in the group. Not a lot of variety for any style, but the usual buffet foods were available. All the food I tried was decent,hot and fresh. The crab legs were OK, but they were a bit slow bringing more out during dinner rush. It's not exactly on restaurant row (we went to the North Myrtle location) so there was no wait to be seated, even though it was about 6pm. Not the cleanest establishment and the decor was tired, but I don't eat at buffets for the decor, I go because I want a variety of food. Our server did a fair job of keeping our drinks refreshed and old plates cleared.
Bottom line: The Ocean Garden is a good deal if you want a variety of food or your party that includes those who don't like crab legs or don't eat them, AND don't want to pay for them anyway. If you like crab legs, the price here is fair. (No one tried the Mongolian grill in my party, so I can't comment.)

Review: My husband, two year old, five year old, and I ate here for the first time ever.We all had the buffet and it was wonderful! The pepper steak was so tender and the prime rib on the bar was great and cooked right in front of you to your liking. Our children ate really well, there was so many different choices. My husband loved the food and the fact that they had something for everyone's tastebuds. The food was excellent and the price was a vacationer's dream! The only complaint we had was we ate entirely too much... whatever you do, go very hungry. you'll get seated immediately to start your feast.

Review: My husband and I decided to go to Ocean Garden because we wanted to try a buffet that was different and a little cheaper than the seafood buffet's on Restaurant Row. I was very disappointed in the food, the atmosphere, and the clientle. The restaurant did not seem clean, the food was not good, the other people eating at the restaurant seemed dirty and were wearing sweatpants, and we will not return. Review: We stopped here for dinner. Three of us had the buffet with crab legs and two had just the buffet. The service was great and so were the crab legs. The two that did not get the crab legs thought the food was just ok. If you love crab legs this is the place to go.

Review: Misleading add in the coupon book that says all you can eat seafood buffet. Well when you pull up it's a chinese restaurant. I was very disappointed and the food wasn't all that good. However my picky 2 year old was happy because there was chicken nuggets on the buffet. I won't be eating there if we go back.

Review: We learned about Ocean Garden several years ago when my husband was playing golf wth a local. He told my husband that it was the best restaurant in North Myrtle. So we decided to try it. We've been eating there ever since, sometimes twice a week. The food is excellent and the mongolian grill is excellent. Choose your meat and vegatables and watch it being cooked. And to have prime rib cooked to order, wow! All of this is included in the price of the buffet. Everything we've ever eaten at Ocean Garden has been excellent and the staff just wonderful. We will be back for years to come. It's GREAT! Also, they offer coupons too!

Review: My family and I enjoy going to Ocean Garden Buffet at least once a month. There is no waiting to be seated, the staff is with you quickly and the one Gentleman behind at the Mongolian grill is very good...I have had major jaw surgery and have limited chewing ability and the Prime Rib has always been so tender...Our 2 children are also picky eaters and they always want to go here...I would recommend this as a good place to stop when you're in Myrtle Beach..thank you

Review: The food you get here is great for the price you pay!! Shrimp, oysters, crawfish, fish, and then all the prime rib & steak you want and if you want crab legs they have that too!
There was plenty of chinese dishes to pick from and all pots were kept full. We have traveled alot in USA and also Europe and Canada. A good place and good price!

Review: Tried the dinner buffet w/o crab legs for 11.95, which was not bad, but not a wide selection at all. Me and my wife looked at each other after looking over the buffet after we were seated, and said where is the chinese food?! VERY FEW CHINESE SELECTIONS! Was very disappointed. Mostly American food and seafood. On a good note the Prime rib and t-bone steaks were good. But the few Chinese selections they had were not that good. If you're looking for Chinese for dinner, please go somewhere else.

Review: With seeing some of the reviews, my wife and I were about to not go to this restaurant. My wife is Filipino so we have been to Chinese restaurants all over the US,when we arrived there we were seated as soon as we went in. We were surprised at the food at the bar. We were expecting to be disappointed but there was a great selection of fish,seafood, chinese food all prepared very nicely. The service was great and atmosphere was quite for us. All iin all ,it was a great place to eat and for us both it was $29.00 without crab legs minus the $2.00 dollars off coupon we found in a book here so we pain only $25.00 comparable to what we pay at Ryans or Golden Coral and a lot cheaper than the seafood buffets here. I Recommend eating here.

Review: We had enjoyed eating here at least once on each of our trips to Myrtle Beach. The Mongolian IS excellent. However, we will not be returning. Our last trip, at least 4 dishes were not replaced since it was within an hour of closing time. Since that is when we arrived, we had none of those dishes. Then, 15 minutes before closing, an older "lady" who I assume to be a manager asked us if we wanted anything else from the bar. My wife said she just wanted to get dessert. The woman said, no kidding, "You go get dessert, we trying to close now" while making a sweeping pointing motion toward the dessert bar. There's too many dining choices in Myrtle Beach that DON"T have rude staff for us to continue eating there.

Review: Very good mongolian bar. Delicious crab legs for only 7 bucks more! Tons of food, impossible to try it all! We will go back and tell others about it. Lots more seafood than Chinese food. Even had spiced shrimp and cold peel and eat shrimp on the buffet. Big dessert selection. We thought it was priced better than all the others and definately as good or better than all the others we had tried. Tip...go hungry!

Review: This restaurant was pretty good. The chinese buffet wasn't anything special, it was like any other chinese buffet. They didn't have a lot of selection. If it wasn't for the mongolian grill I would not have rated it so high. The mongolian grill was excellent. My husband loves alot meat with his dinners, and with this you could get however much you wanted. The guy that ran the grill was very nice. I would recommend going there just for that.

Review: We go to north myrtle every winter. We find the ocean garden to be one of the many good eating places here. Its easy to get to, the service is good, the prime rib at the fry station is as good as it gets any where. Its very affordable, and very tasty. You can go in, get a good meal, leave as fast or as slow as you want to.

Review: A typical Chinese Buffet with a Mongolian BBQ. The food was typical and tasty. The seafood selections were good. The stuffed crab, stuffed shrimp, and scallops were all tasty. The monogolian bbq was small but tasty - it was properly cooked and seasoned (sauced). The price was a few dollars higher than our hometown favorite, but with more choices. This was a bargain considering the prices of all the other buffets.

Review: The family ate at this restaurant last week and I found it to be lacking in the chinese dish area. When I go to a chinese buffet I like to have at least 10 to 15 normal chinese dishes, such as Kung Poa, Mongolinan Beef etc. My wife and one child did enjoy a lot of the seafood items and i will say that the table where you pick your own vegtables and meats and they cook it for you was better then most I have had. I think it was the variety of sauces they have. I go to a similiar place in Duluth, GA and it has twice the selection (except crab legs) and a sushi bar for a cheaper price. I do not know if I will go back, I may try some of the others to see if they have a better select of chinese dishes.

Review: I was actually pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We arrived late in North Myrtle Beach and saw this restaurant when we were looking for something close. Didn't expect much, but was surprised that the food was really good. I'm not normally a buffet person but it was a good value with lots of Chinese specialties and very good seafood selections.
If you're looking for a nice value for your family and you like Chinese and seafood selections, I'd recommend it. Decor is just average, food above average for a buffet.

Review: We have previously eaten at Ocean Garden and decided to go again in June 06. We used the early bird coupon found in most books and had a party of 6 2 of which were children buffets and our bill was only 60$. Crab legs with the buffet was only 10.95. The food here is great and the mongolion grill is one of the best items I have had at a chinese restaurant. I would recomend this to anyone. Great food, low prices and the staff were always around to bring you anything you wanted.

Tony's the best at the grill! Just watch him slide your fresh snow peas, bean sprouts, zuchini, onions, mushrooms, chicken, shrimp, beef onto your plate hot off the grill! Price is unbeatable. Buffet items are fresh and tasty!

Review: This is not your typical Chinese Buffet! They have traditional Chinese fare - Beef and Chicken with broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, lo mein, etc. They also boost a mongolian grill where you choose what you want them to cook up for you. There is also the prime rib carving station, salad bar, seafood in a puff pastry (wonderful!), all you can eat crab legs,and a dessert bar that kids young and old will enjoy!

Review: We love seafood and Ocean Garden provided the best crab legs and oyster in the entire Myrtle Beach area with an excellent price. If someone in your party does not like crab legs, there is $5 off. You are still able to taste the shrimp, oyster and other seafood. Ocean Garden Buffet also offers prime rib and stir fry in the one buffet price ($10.99 without the crab legs). I don't know where else you can find such bargain.

Review: This is one of my favorite places. You can order the buffet or off the menu. There are always coupons to be found. The selection is awesome. You can also try the Mongolian Buffet where you make up your own meal and have the chef prepare it right in front of you. For an extra couple of dolalrs you can have Crab legs. Besides the usual oriental dishes, they have a cold salad bar (with shrimp cocktail) and a dessert bar. I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed.
