Review: I just found this site. Last summer we stopped in here for lunch, which was just ice cream. The only reason we stopped was we are from Ohio. It was the lady behind the counter. She apparently is just like the old man. We tried to start up a conversation about Ohio, since they had all that Ohio stuff in there. She would not even talk to us. She looked at my kids like they were evil. The only reason they got excellent in the last two categories was there was no one else in there. When we left I said to my mom I wonder why she even has a restaurant she acted like she'd rather be anywhere but there. We won't be going back there.

Review: Never again will I go there. I totally ignored the reviews but should have listened. I refuse to give this establishment my business. Rude! Rude!! Rude!!! I would rather go without ice cream than to give him my business.

Review: Beautiful setting and large portions of excellent ice cream! Service is quick and they have OVER 30 flavors. We've been coming for years and will go no where else...even when it is cold outside. The reviews you listed are, in one of their words, nasty and very serving. Calling names borders on libel, in my opinion. If you can't say something good - why respond at all. But that is old fashioned. Everybody wants to sound off even though they have negative to say. As for me and my family, this is the ice cream place on the beach - bar none!

Review: The guy behind the counter is a 1st class jerk! I could care less how good the ice cream tastes when you are so pissed off you don't even want to eat it anymore. I'd rather go to Baskin Robbins just south on 17 and at least get pleasant service for a reasonable price.

Review: I have lived in the Myrtle Beach area for 6 years now and everytime we have someone come visit us (which is quite often) they want ice cream. It has actually become a joke to take them to this "ice cream Nazi" just to see how nasty he can be. And funny enough, he always comes through for us. The service is so poor!!! He is a nasty man and should really move back to Ohio! So now that our fun is over, we go up the road a bit on 17N towards Wilmington. There is a great place on the left that sells the same Hershey's Ice Cream and the service is MUCH BETTER!

Review: The old grouchy man behind the counter needs to go get another job somewhere else. He was VERY rude to my children, who were being nice to him. They are over priced for the icecream, too.
It was awful. I'll never ever go back.
PLEASE don't try this place it would be your worst mistake EVER!!!!!!!! Even as a local this place would make us all look bad!!!!!

Review: I was really relieved to see the other reviews on this awful, awful place. My husband likes the ice cream, is oblivious to the incredible rudeness and arrogance of these shopkeepers, and we live in Little River so I have gone there more times than I would ever like (once was too much for me). After tonight's experience, I have vowed NEVER AGAIN! The ice cream is tasteless and overly sweet. I asked for a hot fudge sundae and it was the worst (and unrecognizable) I've ever had. McDonald's hot fudge sundae would have been a major improvement. Don't even get me started on the incredibly ridiculous price of this terrible ice cream. Worst ice cream, service, and price I've ever experienced in 57 years and living in 7 other states other than SC. Bad for first impressions of visitors to this state. Shame!

Review: First of all, the place smelled old and damp. Second, when my sister asked for sample taste of their mint chip, he told her, "No, we don't sample...". He is a grouchy old man; besides, it is only Hershey's Ice Cream...

Review: I love the quaintness and family feeling when I walk in-that is in addition to the great varieties of ice cream and side orders that are offered. The portions are worth what you pay. The best ice cream shop I have ever been in!

Review: Have you ever seen the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld? Well, come to O' Henry's ice cream and you can live it. The owner will insult you so much you would think you are at Dick's Last Resort, except that the servers at Dick's are joking and this crazy guy is not, he really means to hurt your feelings. My wife had to leave the store, and when I came out to check on her, she was in tears. The ice cream was good, but it is not worth having to talk to this guy and have an emotional breakdown for.

Review: I will never enter this place of business again! The man that works there was very rude and really insulted me & my family. When we moved back to SC from Florida, I guess I got spoiled being able to use the debit card where ever we go. After we placed our order, we realized that debit was not accepted. I sent my husband to an ATM to get cash as I held icecream cones and a 2 yr old in my arms. AS the icecream began dripping down my arms I politely asked him for a cup. He said that "you asked for cones, not cups!" I said back to him...that was before I realized I'd be standing here with them for 5 minutes! I will gladly pay you for the cups. He then stated that "Not everone accepts debit cards" Well at this point it was pretty obvious that he was having a bad day or was just plain hateful! He was so arrogant and rude, that I swore I'd never go back. (and I haven't) But I did find a great creamery in Calabash I highly recommend.

Review: We don't eat inside O'Henry's, so we can't really rate the atmosphere, time to be seated, and noise level.
We order the homemade ice cream to go, and IT IS THE BEST WE'VE *****EVER**** had... absolutely the best there is. And we're ice cream eating people.. so believe me, if you haven't tried O-Henry's icecream, you need to get your butt to there and get some!!!!
