I went there to get the early bird meal which ends at 5pm. Unfortunately (even though we live 3 minutes from the place) my husband is slow at times so when we got there just at 5pm I was told we couldn't get the Early Bird. The owner came out and argued with me that it was his restaurant and his rules and if we didn't like it we could go somewhere else (even though he has seen us there many times). So if you want Northern Attitude and not Southern Hospitality this might be the place for you! ref: 2967 |

My parents live in Garden City and I have eaten at Nico's with them. It was alright, but I was not overly impressed. Last night, my parents (who are retired and trying to watch what they spend) went in for the early bird special which ends at 5:00 p.m. They walked in the door of the restaurant at exactly 5:00 p.m. and were told that they could not take advantage of the early bird special. When my mother asked to talk to the owner he came out of the kitchen like a bulldog, yelling that she "made me come out of the kitchen to argue with you." He also told her that "It is my house and my rules and if you don't want to follow them, don't come back." Guess what... they won't be back. How's that for customer service????? ref: 2911 |
