this place is terrible the food was not worth eating , i went one night and saw not only 3 fights but people pretty much having sex on the dance floor , the staff is terrible and really slow , the drinks are so watered down they arnt worth it and the bouncers are overly agressive id never go back to this place and i wont ever refer any to go there as a night club or a place to eat , there are lots of other places in north myrtle beach that are a lot better

We have been coming to myrtle beach for years and recently changed condos. We were excited to be able to craoos the street and have dinner at Molly's. We travel in a large group and always expect seating to take some time. We were seated relatively quickly. We had 2 tables... 19 people total. We had one waiter for our group. He did a good job making sure our drinks were full and our food was right. OF COURSE HE WOULD! Tip was added to our bill. We are used to paying a mandatory tip for large groups. But 20% was outrageous. Especially considering they wont split the bill for you. We had 4 seperate families with us and it tooks us awhile to seperate the bill ourselves. Guess they dont know how to enter meals and drinks by seat. Food was average for the price. Only wish I had read reviews before we went. The again maybe not.... a rat? gross!

Our bartender/server Paige was horrible! She acted as if anything my husband asked for was a huge problem. Our drinks were disgusted and the food was overpriced. But the service was what sealed the deal for us. Thank you Paige for ruining our experience at Molly Darcy's.

This place is a joke as far as irish pubs. Nothing in the way of an irish pub. Has a great view, but the food is just frozen/fried pub food. Had cornbeef, not very good, and terrible service from the bartenders with an attitude to match. The view and location is amazing and the only reason this place gets any business, definately! Watch out for the ITALIAN barkeep, they give the weakest pour of any place i have been in north myrtle beach and were more involved with taking shots with each other, rather than tending the bar, total joke this place is.

Thisplace is awesome! I really love it. It had great food, fun atmosphere and awesome drinks. We had a large party of twenty and all ages from young kids, teens to adults They had something for everyone. The front had pool and games and a lovely outside patio with a great beach view. The bar tenders were the BEST! Please go to this place!! You will enjoy yourself.

I can't say anything about the food as we did not eat, we were out that way for a bowling tournament and I suggested a few of us go to Molly Darcys as it is on the ocean front, it is that. I found the most expensive Miller Lite draft beer, $11 a pitcher, when I asked for my tab, I thought it a bit high, yup, 3 pitchers of beer $33 plus a 20% tip had been added, what to bring me a beer, that's over $2.00 per pitcher and then I wonder how many people don't notice the tip added in and tip again, never again. Just a tourist rip-off joint.

I want to start off by saying I was excited to try this restaurant, because of the reviews I had seen. It is our last night in Myrtle Beach, we are tired of driving, and the place is within walking distance (two blocks), We had to eat outside because the person I am with is 38 weeks pregnant, and although I smoke, when we walked in the door the odor of tobacco was Strong. That being said, our service was Really Good! The food that was served was excellent! Here is the issue, I had leftover french fries, and while finishing my beer (of which I had two) I decided to throw them to the birds. What surprised me was a RAT decided to come eat them. Yes, a RAT! I have pictures to prove it. Now, I'm not saying there are rats in the restaurant, but lets just say its questionable whether or not the leftovers will be eaten. Buyer BEware.

We tried this place after many years of wanting to. It was a great time. Just pub food, but the cornbeef melted in your mouth, the Whisky wings were real good. Our waitresss was on the ball, and filled our glasses everytime. The deck overlooking the ocean was good as well. Will be back

During our vacation in north myrtle beach we dropped in this pub for a few pints, and didn't get that warm irish welcome? Our bartender William wasn't very attentive and made no attempt to as much as speak with us other than when we first arrived grabbing us our first Smithwicks. We moved to dining room where the poor service continued. We actually received our food and our waiter hadnt even brought us our silverware? Such a great location with such poor management!!! Complete waste of time, avoid at all cost!!!

Only stopped there for a drink with my wife. We had a one Magarita each, for $8.50 each, is this NYC?? I just handed her a $20 bill, and said keep it you killed that 20. We were just seated out on their deck, so the atmosphere was evening and the sound of the ocean. So good location, good looking waitresses but not much else. In a nut shell, too expensive for just a bar with pub food.

My parents and I went to Molly Darcy's so we could sit outside by the beach. We each ordered fish and chips. The portions were very small, and I think they were actually counting the french fries since there were only a handful. All this for $13!! The fish was greasy as well. The wait staff was terrible. I ordered a "perfect margherita" only to have NO alcohol in it. When I took it back to the bar, I got major attitude and they acted as if I was lying. They finally put the tequila in it, but the drink was terrible. And that was $7! We will not be going back to this place. Bartenders and wait staff are none too friendly, and food is terribly overpriced for what you get, and not that great.

After reading all the reviews on this site (and having an Irishman for a husband) I decided that we had to try Molly Darcy's for a relaxing dinner out. I cannot even begin to describe how sorry I am that I wasted my money and time on this place. We had to flag down someone to figure out where to sit (we stood at the hostess stand for a good 10 minutes) and we ended up getting pointed to a table and seating ourselves. It took forever for a waitress to even greet us and take our drink order, forever to get our drinks and then about 40 minutes to get our food after having ordered it. All in all, we spent about 2 hours at Molly Darcy's and paid 30 dollars for 2 sandwiches and two sodas. I felt like asking our waitress for anything was a HUGE inconvenience to her. We'll not be returning.

We discovered Molly Darcy's two years ago, and enjoyed it very much. Many of the reviews on here center around the bar, the atmosphere, and "adult" fun. But, I also want to recommend this restaurant for families... at least for lunch. Our hotel is a block away from Molly Darcy's, so we have walked there for lunch during our vacations the past two years. We've sat outside, overlooking the ocean, and have had wonderful meals. Most of their food is Irish (naturally), and not what you would expect to eat while sitting on a deck overlooking the ocean. But it really was good. This past summer, I had a reuben sandwich, and my wife had a corned beef wrap. Our son had a chicken sandwich and our daughter had a burger. There was a beach volleyball tournament taking place while we were having lunch, and it just all added up to a really spectacular beach experience.

We were a party of 7 and when we asked for separate checks (3) we were informed that it was not possible for groups larger than 4. We asked if we could pay the total bill with separate payments and the waitress said yes. When the bill was rendered I broke the bill down and three payments were offered (2 credit cards and cash) which we were informed she could not accept. We reminded her that she had said it was OK and she said we misunderstood. After a lengthy and somewhat heated discussion she grabbed the payments offered and returned the cards and receipts by almost throwing them on the table = no thank you or have a nice day. This young lady had an attitude problem. Fortunately for her the tip was included because she would NOT have received one from us. Hopefully if we visit darcy's again we will have a more pleasant experience.

It has been almost a year since my husband and I visited Molly Darcy's with three other couples. We went in kind of late and were very happy to hear they were still serving food (we knew we would need something in our stomachs before a long night of drinking!) We sat on the beautiful oceanfront patio complete with palm trees. An irish beauty took care of us all night- she was not only attentive on this busy night, but fun and adorable. Glad we found it- can't wait to go back this year.

I was in the Myrtle Beach area last week and my husband and I came across Molly Darcy's. This is our new favorite place to come. My husband and I sat at the bar most of the time and we fell in love with the staff. They each have such a wonderful presence about them. The stories that the bartenders told us had us in tears because we were laughing so hard. By the end of the week I think my husband got a crush on Steph. That was fine with me because I had my eye on two of the guys, Sean and Flanders. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Molly Darcy's was like a home away from home. A place where everyone knows your name.

Drinks were good..but service was insanely slow. We ordered chicken wings, she gave us chicken fingers, and then it took forever to correct. Asked for refills, had finished eating by the time she delivered. Had to ask for the check as we waited for 20 minutes after we finished eating, and she STILL hadn't shown up. Such a greast atmosphere - sitting on the balcony was wonderful ---but that WAITING, WAITING, WAITING was just ridiculous.

Can only say a few wonderful things. Charlie is one of the most refreshing things about the place, only to be followed by Jen and John. After hearing great things and experiencing great personalities and ambiance, this will definitely be a place that I will frequent. The Shepard's pie was fantastic and a great start to a great day on one of the most enjoyable spots for a tourist or a local. Prices are high everywhere, but the fun atmosphere that Molly Darcy's provides is a definite.

TG is not half bad himself. If you want to have fun and meet real people that know how to mix it up with good service, personality, and love of the beach, you will definitely enjoy your visit here. The service is even better if you go in with a personality and interest in enjoying yourself. Sandwiches to cocktails-- you will only have a good time. Enjoy!!

You have to make it a point to hang out here if you are ever in North Myrtle. The atmosphere is great. All the waiters were sweet and cute. Single guys will love the scenery. I know I did. Live music was a plus also. Drink a few beers and take a walk on the beach. It's awesome.

WE HAVE FOUND OUR NEW PLACE!!!!! My family and I have been vacationing to Myrtle Beach for 12 years. We found a great deal in NMB and came to Molly Darcys. talk about a great atmosphere! the views of the beach are breathtaking. While beating the heat we enjoyed great conversation with Ian the bartender. WHAT a guy!! and our family could not get enough of our extremely personable and charming waiter named Randell. He made our daughters blush and made us feel right at home.

The food was excellent. The only thing I would change is the side salad being a bit pricy... but you do what you gotta do... The fans in the bar were also something that made an impression on us.... all because it was a different...

REFRESHING place to dine with your family and friends and then becomes a quaint night club for the partiers after the sun goes down. Molly Darcy's is a great place to visit.... pool tables.... video games.... back deck... sophisticated bar.... we Love it and will be back! thanks to all for such an enjoyable week... check it out on 17th Ave South!

Our food was not very good, and expensive considering they give you nothing but the menu item: meaning that with an entree of Bangers and Mash for $12 you get four sausages and a pile of potato... No Salad, no vegetable. Nothing! Shepard's Pie: a bowl of that and nothing else! No rolls to chew on, nothing nothing nothing!

If you want a side salad it is $6! Insane!

The wait staff is also very slow and none too bright.

We ordered potato skins, and for $7, we got THREE!!!!!! They were not very good, either.

The atmosphere is very nice, but atmosphere alone is no good with food that is over-priced, not very tasty, and comes with no sides at all!

AVOID THIS PLACE!

Headed out for a nice evening out of food and drinks but ended up leaving this bar sooner than expected. While the food was good, we had to experience way too many drunks, 2 arguments, and one bar fight. To make matters worse, it seemed as if a couple of the staff had a little too much to drink also. They were either unattentive or too busy talking and flirting to really care. We liked the location but we won't be going back.

If your looking to have a great time, with great people, in a wonderful atmosphere.... MOLLY DARCY's is the place to be. With great prices and astonishing foods, you cant go wrong. I moved to North Myrtle Beach last year and ive yet to find a better place to relax and have a beer after work. Or let loose on the weekend and party. All I can say is you've got to see for yourself.

My wife and I absolutely love this bar! The staff, the food, all top knotch. If your looking for a cool place to hang out, you better check this place out. We moved here in August 2005, and still head to Molly Darcy's at least once a week.

This is a great restaurant.

It was 2 blocks from our hotel we stayed at in North Myrtle Beach and we walked there almost every day.

Their view of the ocean off the deck is fantastic. Great happy hour specials and the staff is wonderful.

This is the sweetest bar in North Myrtle Beach. If I could design a bar myself -- this would be it! Large arcade / billiards in the front, simply HUGE middle sports bar area, and ample outdoor ocean front views out back. Cheap drink specials at happy hour...make this a definite destination when in North Myrtle Beach / Cherry Grove. Thanks, Kevin & Jen Van G.
