Having spent time in Ireland my wife & I had to try this place. It was early afternoon so seating was immediate, the weather was nice so we opted to sit on the patio. The menu had several traditional Irish dishes including sheppard pie which was fair. I had the smoked salmon pate which wasnt a pate at all but was quite good. The selection of Irish whisky was good as were the draft offerings. The wife had a frozen drink called a Dirty Banana, and had another and another, it was quite good! They also have burgers & such on the menu for those less Irish. Service was pretty good so all in all a plesant experience. We definetly plan to return during our next trip to the east coast.

This is one of our favorite places. The food is great and the restuarant is really cool inside with a great deck on the ocean. You should try it! We had a corn beef sandwich and went back 3 times for another one.

I had a boiled cabbage and corned beef dinner. The potatoes were not cooked so I sent them back. Half of the replacement potatoes were not cooked-so I sent them back. About then a restaurant manager?( she never introduced herself so I am guessing what her job was) came over and told me they served the potatoes firm so they wouldn't break up! I cook a lot and know that potatoes should be fork tender-I could hardly get my fork into the ones served me. The staffs attitude was poor with snide comments during this experience. Another customer came up to me and said they should find someone who can boil potatoes!!! This was after the manager said they didn't have complaints. Surprise- I taught marketing in college for over twenty years and as I told my students most people don't complain-they just don't come back. The location is great-right on the beach-but I will never go back there.

Think of this place as a bar/pub that serves food, NOT a restaurant. The atmosphere is good (for a pub/sports bar). Drinks are good. HOWEVER, the food is terrible and very overpriced for what you get. The menu is quite poor and the food is even poorer. ALSO, be warned, groups of 6 or more will have 18% added to the bill as a gratuity. Once they know they are getting 18%, there is no incentive to provide the required level of service worthy of 18%. Anyway, I always thought it was up to the patron to decide on how much a tip the service warranted ??? BAD, BAD, BAD.

For those of you reading the mixed reviews, I've been there several times, and the food is good, your typical short order or applebees menu, as far as the crowd it's VERY different from day and night....the DAY crowd is your typical beachgoer and is family friendly, the employees are VERY FRIENDLY....but then as the sun goes down so does the crowd as well as the employees friendly demeanor....evening crowd is more rowdy, defnitely not a place I would take my kids in for dinner and the employees attitudes straight up SUCK....the "can-do" attitude of the day shift turns crappy (for lack of a better word) at night....so hopefully this clears up the mixed reviews for most people reading....if you want service go during the day, if you want to party and don't mind NOT getting a "thank you come again" then it's fine to go at night!

Overall... we loved the food and the waitstaff, but almost left due to the rudeness of the hostess. What happened to trying to please the customer or was it just a bad day?? Had dinner on the deck 6/19/2012 and the food will bring us back, but maybe this time through the beach rather than the front door. Excellent steak sandwich and equally good chicken pot pie!!

We went to Molly Darcy's for dinner and had a blast! We did have to wait a few minutes for a table but in this town who doesn't. There is a great big bar with very nice bartenders which will accommodate you until you get seated. A gentleman named Flounder - I think, and John took very good car of us, also there was very nice woman that ran the place, I forgot her name. I highly recommend going here no matter what some of the rednecks say.

If you don't mind waiting 2+ hours for your food - they have a great deck on the beach. Slow service, rude manager, below average food, pricey beer.

Went to dinner there three times earlier this month. One visit began badly when I arrived at 415PM, before the serving staff, but my favorite servers arrived and the experience was rescued. My servers were very friendly and helpful, available without being intrusive. Highly recommend the Reuben and the corned beef. Coffee is not freshly brewed, but they serve Barry's Gold Blend Irish Tea, the best I ever had. Beach view is great indoors or out. There is also a bar that is patronized by locals and not that noisy. It seems Molly's is also called Marcy Darcy's. I'll definitely be back next trip to North Myrtle Beach!

I highly recommend. We really enjoyed the restaurant and ate there twice. Next time we will take our pet, also. I loved my grilled tuna, just a little pricey, but worth it. Do try it.

Went several times during vacation in early June. Sat outside, listened to music, had several fantastic drinks, ate a great dinner and watched the full moon rise during the sunset. Great service! Great time! Can't wait to go back.
