Review: I loved it. My favorite part was when he made Spongebob out of rice, and before that he made Mickey Mouse out of oil. Also, my Grandma and Dad got fooled by some of his tricks.

Review: Went to this restaurant senior beach week of 07, loved it. I eat a lot and i had enough leftovers for less than $20 to be reheated 3 more times after i bought it the first time. Good performance by the chefs, will come back this year.

Review: Beleive the hype. This is the best japanese steakhouse on the strand. Eat there every year in october on our golf trip. Get the steak and chicken and it is great. Big portions of food always have leftovers. The staff is great and the chefs do put on a show. Have never been hit with hot flying shrimp. We have a group of about 40 people and the staff handels us with no problems. Love the location of the bar and the sushi is excellent..

Review: I have visited Myrtle Beach for the last 17 years. Each time we visit we make sure to come to your restaurant. The kids are excited by the performance your chefs put forth and the food is always great. Keep up the good work so that we can enjoy it in the following years. As for the flying shrimp, my kids absolutely enjoy that feature and not once was it too hot as some others would write.

Review: We have been coming to MB for 19 years and have tried many restaurants. A few years ago, my family wanted to take me to a restaurant of my choice for my birthday. I chose Miyabi because I always wanted to try a Japanese Steakhouse. We loved it! I have had the steak and shrimp and the scallops (so tender) and they are delicious! We stop almost every time we are in town. The portions are huge and you will be bringing home leftofers. Call for reserrvations and try the early bird specials. We weren't disappointed and you won't be either!

Review: Dear Sirs,
What a disappointment tonight. Your bathrooms were just about as deplorable as could be. I also was hit with a flying hot shrimp by one of your chefs tonight. Not only did it burn my arm and shoulder but also caused several stains on my clothing. What if the shrimp had hit the children sitting in the same vicinity as myself or hit someone in the eye. Not a good situation. I am truly disappointed in the management which was not really concerned with the situation. A truly poor situation!!! I will contact others on this matter.

Review: I absolutely love miyabis i went there a couple times and I plan on taking my girlfriend to share my excitement and I see other people back lashing at miyabis and I think there are just people who are mad and feel like making people feel miserable and I really don't appreciate those kind of people.

Review: From the moment we walked in the door everything was great! We were greeted promptly by the host. We didn't have to wait long to be seated. When our waitress came to the table she was very knowledgable about the menu and sushi items as well. (Her name was Tracy) Our chef (Luke) was very entertaining as well as an excellent cook! Our sushi was wonderful. It was a great experience!

Review: We had an AWESOME time at Miyabi Kyoto last night! The food was excellent!!! I was really dissapointed with another Japanese restaurant in this area and I wanted some really good Japanese Hibachi Cuisine. Well I have found the right place! Our server, Lindsey was Excellent and very pleasant!

Then as a surprise, the servers came out and sang a Japanese Celebration song to celebrate our anniversary. All of the servers across the restaurant started singing to us. It was complete with a Drummer, Cupcakes, Flowers with a Make-A-Wish Candle and ofcourse a Polaroid Photo. (I thought you only get that treatment for a Birthday!) It was such a pleasant surprise! I had plenty to eat and still left with a take home box that was Full of great Food!! Miyabi Kyoto is by far the best Japanese restaurant in town!!! ENJOY!!!

Review: We always enjoy eating at Miyabi's! The food is great and it is a fun place to eat. Occassionally our service isn't as great as other times. We usually request Tracey or Brenda we always receive top-notch service from them. The people that work at the hostess stand always seem to quote us the right time that it will take before we sit down. Often, we don't have to wait as long as they quoted us. If you don't like to wait make a reservation. Some cooks are more entertaining than others, but we've never had a bad meal here. I highly recommend Miyabi's!

Review: We eat at Miyabi's on Restaurant row quite often. The food is always great! The entertainment from the chef is awesome. Our service is usually pretty good. After a few times with not the best service, we have learned to request a couple of different waitresses (Tracy or Brenda) because of their outstanding service! The staff at the front is always professional and quotes us the right time, every time. We have never been disappointed at Miyabi's!

Review: It was a warm, sunny afternoon, and driving northward on Kings Highway brought the delightful aromas from Miyabi's into the car. We turned around, and made reservations. Our second meal was the second night later. Even my teenage son was delighted with the food and atmosphere. We have eaten at two other Miyabi's in different cities since. We are returning to Myrtle Beach for spring 2007 golfing, and will stop here again. We have told others from Cincinnati, and they have returned thanking us for the recommendation to enjoy a great meal.

Review: My wife and ate here to celebrate our first anniversary living in South Carolina. We live nearby.

The food was decent and the portions were ample for the money. I think the sauces are too rich but that's a personal opinion.

I do have a negative observation: The young man who did the preliminaries like getting us our drinks and taking our order was somewhat surly and a little over-familiar in his attitude. He made several remarks about my not seeming relaxed which were not appreciated. He also was pushy about me ordering drinks. Since I am a ten-year, sober ex-alcoholic who is active in Alcoholics Anonymous, that didn't sit well with me, either. All in all, I don't think the cooks' funnyman routine is so great, either. It's pretty corny, repetitious and well -- lame!

The above incident was at the Miyabi restaurant near Murrells Inlet, SC on Saturday, October 28th at about 5:00 p.m.

Review: Miyabi was a great experience. The food is great and you have plenty to take home. Each time I have gone, I have had a different waiter and each one was entertaining. I always take out of town guests here, because I know they won't be disappointed. Make sure you make reservations, so you don't have to wait to be seated.

Review: We love going to hibachi restaurants and tried this one due to the excellent reviews we had read. The food was very good, but not as flavorful as other hibachi restaurants we had been too. Also, while the food was prepared at our table, the chef did not demonstrate some of the knife skills and cooking techniques that we have found customary in Japanese steak houses and this is part of the reason we normally go to these places. Overall rating: average.

Review: I have to say that visiting Miyabi's was an excellent choice. This was my 2nd time visiting a Japanese Steakhouse. By far Miyabi's beat the other. The atmosphere where the bar was at was awesome, got great service there. We were told that the wait for the Suishi Bar was about 30 minutes and for the main tables were about an hour. We were called for the Suishi Bar in about 10 minutes where the suishi and Tampora was wonderful. By the time we ate our last bite there, we were called for the main table. The chef was amazing doing tricks and jokes. The food was great and we had enough to take home for 2 more meals, which even reheated was awesome. We had a great experience there and will be back at least once a month if not more. I recommend this restaurant for everyone.

Review: My friends and I just came back from a weeks vacation in North Myrtle Beach and I have to admit I was a bit reluctant to eat at Miyabi's. That was because I had eaten at Japanese restaurants in the past where the food was prepared at the table and was entertaining, but I was not necessarily impressed with the food itself. Well I was in for a wonderful surprise.... Not only was the service good, but the food presentation was excellant and the food itself was delicious, and there was plenty of it. My friends and I would recommend Miyabi ten times over. A wonderful and entertaining treat..... Enjoy!!

Review: After nearly two years of our last visit, we dined again. This place is worth every penny. If you love Sushi, be sure to ask your server for a menu. Truly delicious. The grill chefs do an outstanding performance. Plus the servers are excellent. Your kids will love it, as much as mine.

Review: DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Miyabi's is the BEST! Believe it. We drive down from Wilmington at least once a month and it's always better than the last time. We've tried every other Japanese Steak House in Myrtle Beach and none come close. The service, food, presentation are all outstanding. My only complaint is there isn't one in Wilmington.

Review: I just had dinner with my family there and the service was horrible! We went to the Mrytle Beach for business/family trip and decided to eat there, BAD idea~ the hostess put us on the sushi bar when we requested for a table(7 people) (The hostess said it will only take 10 mins so that the waitress can catch up her serving other customers time and we waited for more than 30mins for the table and ended up saying that the table was already reserved for other people!) Is that mean the waitress can't service that many people? When the hostess and I had a discussion about it, she was saying it was not her fault but mine. Because we were short on time, we just ate at the sushi bar. However, the waitress so slow and never refill our drink or any requests until we asked her many times. I don't think we deserve this kind of service. It was a bad management. We spent a lot of money in that dinner and we deserve better. We will NEVER go to miyabis anymore.

Review: My wife and I ate at Miyabi this past Saturday night. The place was busy and our wait was around 30 minutes or so. Nontheless, the service, the presentation and the food was outstanding. I had the chicken, beef & shrimp combo and my wife had the shrimp and scallops which were both excellent. The chef was very personable and entertained everyone at the table. I think that they are a bit stingy with their vegetables (zuchinni & onions) but the portions are of a respectable size. Don't miss this great restaurant when you are in Myrtle Beach!

Review: My wife and I lived in NC a few years ago and visited at least once a month. We have moved back to PA and there is no Japanese Rest. in the Pittsburgh area that compares to Miyabi's. The food is great and service is better than average to those other restaurants on the Grand Strand. We always look forward to our vacation to MB and our first dinner is at Miyabi's. We might be moving to Charleston soon and we loof forward to our monthly ritual to the Best Japanese Steakhouse in SC...Miyabi-Kyoto.

Review: My wife and i flew down for our anniversary to have dinner at this restaurant. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our reserved time and were still seated right away. The chef was outstanding making jokes and appealing to guests from age 2 to age 71 that were seated at our table. The waitress was always there to refill our drinks and the food was outstanding!!! Review: My wife at here in June and she loved it so we came back in September and she insisted that I try it too. Very good food, a great experience.

I had the shrimp and filet and my wife had the shrimp and scallops and they were excellent.

The chef was hillarious and got everyone at our table involved in the process which made for a great dinner!

Review: We are local and usually go to the Miyabi's in Murrells Inlet. We were recently visiting someone at Grand Strand Hospital and decided to grab early bird at this location on the North end.

BIG MISTAKE!

They had very few tables set, the restaurant was far from full but their "policy" is that if you're not "seated" by their specified time then you wait a hour to get a regular table.

I could understand if all their tables been full but it was obvious this was just a SCAM to get the people in the door.

I think what Miyabi's needs to realize is that there is Nakato's right up the street and Sugami right up the street on the other side of them.

So we, like many other families went and ate at one of the other Japanese restaurants that were less than a half mile from theirs.

We will never eat, or should I say ATTEMPT to eat, at the North location ever again.

We will continue to visit the South end where we are known by name and are allowed a seat when wanting to spend money in their establishment.

I hope you will rethink your policy as it is very deceiving. You were watching people walk out of your restaurant and there were tons of empty seats. Poor management on your behalf.

Review: By far the best Japenese Cuisine that we have ever eaten. Bobby and his staff are the best we have come across. The food is excellent and the value is amazing. We always have tons of food left over. The quality of meat surpassed our expectations. Who would guess that one of the best filets we had ever had would come from a Japanese Restaurant!

Review: Fantastic food for the price-especially the early bird specials. Great entertainment from the chef that cooks your food in front of you and has great sense of humor to keep you interested and smiling! Tables seat eight people so expect to sit with others if you have a small party. Everyone at our table had to take home food there was so much!

Review: Miyabi's was one of the best restaurants that I've ever eaten at. As soon as I walked through the door, even on a Friday night, I was seated within seconds. The place is very clean and the food was outstanding. You start off with the drinks, then you get your salads and dipping sauces. After that your cook comes in and says a few jokes. All of the cooks and wait staff are friendly and like to start a conversation. Other than the food, the seating is comfortable and the atmosphere is incredible. The only real noise that you would hear is the sizzling of the grill 12 inches in front of you. You get a load of food on your plate, and its well worth the money.
