Review: Marina raw bar came highly recommended by a couple of people so we tried it.....found it quite pricey and not that terrific. The service at the bar was very slow because the bartender was running back and forth to the kitchen to shuck more oysters......waited about 5 minutes for him to get around to taking our drink order.......also, it is a smoke filled environment and that takes away from the overall experience....because of the smoke, we won't go back...

Review: If you want a lot of fried seafood, go to a buffet--but if you want excellent seafood, served by friendly wait staff, try the Marina Raw Bar & Grill. Try a pan of steamed oysters or one of the dinner selections. Prices are in line with quality seafood along the East Coast.

Review: Yes well I love it at the raw bar. The manger tom is such a joy to be around eveny time I walk in the door he greets me with a big raw bar smile. This is by far the best place to eat on the grand strand.

Review: My wife and I ate here before they moved a few years ago and loved the food. What happened?! The quality of food is horrible. The shrimp were dry and tasted funny. The scallops were tasteless. Food was overpriced and horrible. Service was average, nothing to complain about. We were stunned at how bad this place had become with very patrons on a Friday night. The bar seemed full perhaps they should just be a bar.

Review: This is the best place I've ever been. The food was amazing and the waitress was very polite. The food was relatively inexpensive for the portions. Try the crab legs and filet. It's exquisite. The manager, Thomas, is very personable and friendly. The atmosphere was very fun and enjoyable.

Review: 8/15/2007 Every year for the past 15, as tradition, we have been going to the Marina Raw Bar while on vacation for our favorite, steamed clams and beer. Before being seated, which was at approximately 1Pm, with three other friends I asked if there were steamed clams available. After being assured that there were, we sat, ordered a pitcher of beer and 3 dozen clams each. Imagine my surprise when the waitress returned to inform us there were a grand total of 3 dozen on the premises. This happened once before at the previous location. Cannot understand @ $9 per dozen why they would not be available. Will look elswhere next year Pennsylvania

Review: Good food. Happy hour in bar is really good. However, depending on the season, can become packed and then service declines.

Review: The happy hour is the best in myrtle beach and the people you meet are the nicest and friendly people you could can find. A trip to myrtle beach would not be complete unless my husband and I visit them. The food at happy hour is awesome. Just love the place!.

Review: Our waiter had to be the worst in this entire state. We had to ask him 3 times for EVERYTHING. He told us when he seated us that we'd get a locals discount (he didn't give us a single cent discount at the register). He served one of us shiraz instead of merlot; made all of us wait until we were completely parched for refills of coffee and tea (and yes, we had to ask 3 times). We are really big tippers, normally 25-30%, but this guy didn't deserve anything -- he shouldn't be serving anyone or be in the customer service business -- making even his $2 per hour salary as a waiter is being generous for the energy he was willing to give to his customers. We had a business meeting and he ruined the atmosphere with his complete lack of service. When he was left no tip, he followed us to the parking lot and started yelling at us to go somewhere else to "get something for free" --- and we just finished paying for a $52 lunch for just 3 of us.... It IS expensive... so STAY AWAY from this place until they learn to hire waiters who understand how to treat customers!!!!

Review: We stay in Myrtle Beach Jan through April and eat out frequently. This was one of the worst experiences we have had. We were seated directly under the air conditioning which was blowing full force even though it was 42 degrees outside. The waitress informed us if we moved to the other two seats at the table we would be warmer. This did not work and by then the restaurant was full. It was a very unhospitable and unpleasant experience. A dozen clams on the half shell were $10.00 (expensive). My fried oysters were $18.00. The quality of my food was fair. My wife had the clam strips which she could not eat. I am a seafood lover and was looking forward to a dinner at a raw bar. A terible disappointment.

Review: For all of you who reviewed the restaurant as way too expensive...They have an awesome deal called the half order, which if you order it, turns out to be about the same amount of food as the real order, and funny, it's half the price! It says it's only for kids and senior citizens, but I'm 24 and I get it everytime I go. They have the best hushpuppies! It's locally run and it's not a disgusting buffet, which most fish restaurants are in Myrtle Beach. My family and I have been going for years, and it's great every time. By the way, if you get something bad, you can send it back, and they will replace it with whatever you want.

Review: Calamari was all crumbs. I think the people reviewing this place high are high. Way to expensive for quality of food. Maybe I was there during a bad time but no way was it worth the money. The raw oysters were good though but how bad can you mess that up.

Review: We are locals and this place is the best!!!!

Fried fish is not greasy and the oyster roast is great!!!! How much better does it get with great food, good service, and a wonderful view!!!!

Ask for Tibby if you go. She is a great waitress.

This is the best place on the Strand to get local fried food.

Prices are in line for great quality.

The back deck is awesome!!! Anyone who finds the price high , needs to go to a buffet. This place is a landmark!!!!

Be sure and ask about 1/2 order or Senior's platter.

Locals love it and if tourists are unhappy, stay away from our best secret!!!

Review: Have eaten here since the days across the harbor. Great shell fish selections and other seafood entrees. Service really depends on what time and day. During the middle of the week time seated and service is outstanding. We often like to go on Sunday, when the outside deck area has music and dancing. This is when the waiting time for a table is the longest... but we expect this and thus not a problem.

Review: This place was very expensive. We had 2 adults and 2 children and 1 infant and it cost 80.00. They put the tip on the bill and ring it up before they let you pay. You have no choice of what you are tipping them. It is all their call. I thought a tip was the customers choice.

Review: This is the most expensive place ever. I got a shrimp cocktail for 8 bucks, and shrimp and scallops for $19, with 44 shrimp, 4 scallops, and a potato.
