We to Mammy's yesterday for breakfast. We were greated and seated quickly. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. It was reasonably crowded, food came pretty quickly. Great biscuits and gravy. We'll be back on our next trip.

We chose Mammy's after seeing their commercial on the local station. My husband, myself, and my 2 stepdaughter's were VERY dissapointed in the waitress we had. My 11 year old stepdaughter said she just kept staring at us and giving us looks. When we would tell her thank you, we never got a "you're welcome" reply or any reply for that matter. The food was good...but our Mammy's experience was ruined by the waitress. Would not recommend just for that reason!

We always looked forward to eating there when we come. This time though the food was terrible. The service wasn't nothing to write home about either. We got seated fast... but there was a reason for that. It sucked. We will not be back. Don't waste your money.

I have been there for breakfast only and will make an effort to try dinner this summer of 2012. The breakfast is the biggest, best, and most affordable on the strand. I have been passing that place up during the 70's and 80's and decided one day to stop. I encountered the friendliest wait staff and owners in Myrtle Beach. The buffet is huge with all the southern bells and whistles like stewed tomatoes and grits. there was plenty of fresh fruit and they kept the area very clean and well stocked. They were all on the ball. I would recommend this place to anyone. the tables, floors and windows were very clean. Can't wait to return this summer and eat breakfast every morning.

My grandson who is 6 years old, never seen myrtle beach. So my husband and I took him the weekend . I gave my grandson just little piece of bacon before his food came out. The waitress came to me and said mam im going to charge u for another buffet. I said for what? she said because u are sharing your food from the buffet. I look at her and told her to get a manger she told me thesame thing. I said this is a kid I let him taste a little piece of my bacon because I order bacon for him as well. I told my husband lets go.i cannot believe this. Of course I argue with the manger. They watched us the moment we walked in.why? I know and wll do something about...

We found this little place before we made ourr motorcycle trip to myrtle beach this july on the internet.let me tell you we wernt disappointed ,the breakfast buffet was the greatest,,the service was excellent and the location was right near the boardwalk so after a great meal you just headed out the door in either direction for an exciting time.we loved everything about the place and the selection on the buffet gave us all what we wanted, everything from the fresh fruit to the eggs ,sausage, corned beef hash, bacon, pancakes,,you wont be disappointed,we will be going back on our next trip!.

We always visit Mammy's Kitchen at least once while we are vacationing at Myrtle Beach. It's always been a tradition for us to go and eat breakfast. It's a great restaurant to go to. The service is always great and they make you feel right at home. We always get the buffet when we go and everytime it's always great!! All the food tastes like home-cooked meals. Yes, it may be a little pricy but its totally worth going and eating there. Overall Mammy's is awesome and everyone should go try it!!! WE LOVE IT!! :)

Out of all the resturants with breakfast buffets, Mammy's has the best food, best service, best prices and the cleanest resturant. We eat there for breakfast all the time, and when we found out about the lunch/dinner we came back to give it a try. They have some of the best BBQ sauce on those ribs I have ever had in my life. Overall I was and still am very satisfied with the service and the food.

We walked in and was seated right away. We got the buffet and the buffet had a large selection of food. Most of the food tasted good but found that a lot of the food was cold and you could tell some had been sitting out for awhile, like the mashed potatoes, cold with a dry crust on the exposed portion of potatoes. The service was probably one of the poorest I've seen in Myrtle Beach. I have NEVER walked out of a restaurant without leaving something for a tip, but the service was so poor that it became a first time for me to reward services rendered with what they deserved...nothing. She handed us the check before we were even done eating and never came back to our table to see if we needed refills on our drinks, or anything else for that matter. We thought maybe her shift was over, but when we were leaving we saw her talking with "friends". Reasonable cost for a meal.

My family & i was refered to this restraint by ch33 ( which shows places to eat in myrtle beach) they have a breakfast buffet that is just great. my family and i (party of 9) ate and loved it. what i didnt love was that menu says 10% tip would be added but all waitress did was drinks. then as we left we was offered vacation packages by someone outside. (but had nothing to do w/ the restraint itself)

We spent the week after Easter in MB. First time in the area. We discovered Mammie's on our second day. The food is awesome, the people are great. The buffet has everything you could want for breakfast. We ate here 4 of the 5 days we was in MB. We ate at the Mammie's on Ocean Blvd. It had only been open for a few months. I owner is the original owner on Mammie's on Kings Hwy. We would eat here again.

We saw Mammy's Kitchen adverstised on TV as we sat in the Condo at Caravell Towers on (4/19/11) Wednesday am, while on a week Retreat to get away from the fast pace of L.I.N.Y., so as we entered Mammys Kitchen, we were seated right away, and the waitress (Steffanie) came right over and took our order, the atmosphere, was pleasant, and everyone was very nice, the food was great! I would defintely tell anyone if they wanted a great Southern Breakfast to go to Mammys Kitchen. Thanks, to everyone there for making our time there something to always remember and Thank you Steffanie, for great hospitality and great conversation, God willing we (Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall) will see you again soon. God Bless all of you!

I'm not a big breakfast eater, but this was absolutely delicious. Hubby had the breakfast buffet and I had the special coz my tummy is smaller. The special was 2 eggs (however you want them), bacon or sausage, two pancakes, and coffee. Oh YUM. The buffet had everything else you can think of that you might want to find for breakfast. We had a nice long walk on the beach afterward which started out day off great. We'd definitely return the next trip back to the beach. You weren't rushed, but were served right away. The people were very nice. Nothing bad to say about it!

Best Crab Legs and buffet! My family's favorite place in all of Myrtle Beach. We go every year and we always eat at Mammy's and one other seafood place. We always wish we would have gotten Mammy's twice and skipped the other. There is never a wait in the evenings and they have the best crab legs. I have eaten crab legs from Alabama, Miss., Florida, and more. These are by far the best I've ever had and definitely the best in Myrtle Beach. Breakfast is good too, but you can't beat the dinner buffet.

Mammy's is easily the most mammynificent restraunt I have ever been to. It has the great home cooking feeling, like my grandmother used to cook. They take to each one of their customers like part of the family. Every time I am in the area of Myrtle Beach I have to take a trip to my favorite people in the whole world! The portions are as big as Mammy Kong and are large enough to serve Pac-Mammy! Well I'm going to read the book Mammy Farm(Animal Farm), and To Kill a Mammy Bird(TO Kill A Mockingbird), and play a game of Hang-Mammy. Then I have to study for a test on Mammy-fest destiny! I can literally go on forever. I made a whole diction-mammy with a whole set of the ten Com-mammy-ments! I love you Mammy!!!!!!!!!!

I am an ex-Irish J1'r who worked in Mammy's Kitchen the summer of 2005 having completed my finance degree. The restaurant is a family owned and run business who I have witnessed to make each customer and member of staff feel comfortable and at ease. Having worked in the restaurant I feel I received good training having been paired with a more experience waitress. I can guarentee that during the time I worked at the restaurant the efficiency of the staff meant that there was never a large Q of people waiting for tables even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Myself and my two friends from home who worked in the restaurant that summer ate there and all of us would recommend the fresh salad bar along with the fruit and bacon at breakfast. Hi to Missy and Mike and everyone in Mammy's Kitchen !! :)

Mammy's is a great place to go for a good southern breakfast. Great prices, and the waitstaff is always great. The buffet is pretty good - most of it is your run of the mill breakfast fare (scrambled eggs, pancakes, french toast, bacon), but it's pretty big, and I love getting things like biscuits and gravy, grits, stewed tomatoes and other items I'd never find at a buffet up north. Even when it's really crowded Mammy's is not a noisy, stuffy restaurant. It's definitely worth a trip, at least for breakfast. I've never tried it for lunch or dinner but I'd imagine it's just as good.

Mammy was the name I called my grandmother so the name of the restaurant drew us in. My husband and I ate breakfast here on our honeymoon and were very impressed with the food and service. We just wish that we didn't wait until the end of the honeymoon to try it, otherwise we would've had breakfast here everyday. My husband just recently asked what I wanted for our first anniversary. My first request was breakfast at Mammy's. See you in October!

Have been going to Mammy's for years. Great home cooking at a Great price. Both the breakfast & dinner buffets are excellent values for the price ($7/breakfast & $15/dinner). The food is always warm and there are plenty of selections. The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is very family orientated. I would definately recommend. You can not go to Myrtle Beach without going golfing, to the beach and to Mammy's Kitchen.

We took our family of five here on vacation (3 kids under 7) and heard someone on the street saying "Go to Mammy's!" Low and behold it was right around the corner so we decided to give it a shot! We got in there and was seated right away. The two boys got whatever they wanted to eat and we had great service. The food was great and servers were nice and friendly. Would definately go back again.

Best find of this vacation trip thus far. Adult price for dinner buffet only $15 which included a good salad bar, great country food, great tasting seafood, great apple and peach cobbler. 1 disappointment was kid pricing ended at 9 yrs old and my 10 yr old was charged full price like an adult. I wasn't real hungry when I went in, but I just couldn't stop eating because everything tasted so great. They even had fried squash! While all of the big restaurants where overflowing, too many people were bypassing this great place. I won't argue if the family wants to eat here again before our vacation week is over. All of our family like it. For a good/great family meal with a quiet atmosphere, I highly encourage this place!

This place has great food and service for breakfast. I went there in May, 2009 and really enjoyed it. When we told our server Ann that we might need help getting to the car we ate so much, she went into the kitchen and brought out a dolly and told us to get on and she'd take us out there! I will eat there everytime I visit Myrtle Beach.

We had seen the banner behind the advertsing plane that flies up and down the beach and we had seen the Beach TV adds...but had never tried Mammy's until this September vacation. WHY DID WE WAIT SO LONG? We went for breakfast 3 times in 7 days!! The second visit almost didn't happen as there was a long line waiting to get in...I don't wait in line for food--especially when I am hungry...but since we were already there I broke my own rule. Grumbling about an expected half hour wait I was seated in about 5 minutes...I was so glad to be wrong. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, hot and flavorful. The fresh fruit was such an added bonus...we love fresh fruit for breakfast. The only problem I had was we got so full at breakfast we weren't hungry enough by supper time to go back. This place is great.

We made our first trip to Myrtle Beach and had Breakfast here. The food was great on the bar. But the help there was great. They treated us like we were thier family. They even came and sat at the table with us from time to time. We were there 8/31/08 until9/5/08 we left early because of the storm coming. Sad we didnt even get to tell them all see you until next time we meet. They were great we enjoyed every Breakfast we had there with them. Wish we could find people like them here in Ohio when we go out to eat. There was two the last time we were there jaking with us and made our morning. i would tell anyone that is coming to Myrtle Beach stop and eat here and joke with the workers they will give it back to you. The price was not bad for the great bar they had.and we got over filled with what was on it. One more thing they didnt make you feel like they was trying to rush you out neither like a lot of other places do. Thanks to you all if anyone from the place reads these reviews.

We were visited the beach last year and always drove past mammy's and saw the crowds. We decided to make this our last stop before we left this time. We didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes on an early saturday morning for breakfast. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and was fresh and quite tasty. The fresh fruit was incomparable to anywhere else. My dad ordered the egg special and the portion was large and came quite fast as well. I would recommend it to anyone and will will be back for sure next time!.

Just got back from eating dinner at Mammy's Kitchen (better known for their breakfast buffet). We had the dinner buffet without the Crab legs and it was excellent. Not the largest buffet in town but a very nice assortment for every taste. Their corn nuggets and sweet potato nuggets were pleasent surprises and the salad bar was fresh and nicely stocked. They serve freshly brewed Luzianne sweet tea (my personal favorite). The service was also excellent. If you are looking for a high class fancy restaurant this probaly would not be it. However if you want good food, good service, and a freindly atmosphere I would high recommend it. Overall a very good experience.

We just got back from vacation at Myrtle Beach and my husband is still talking about Mammy's. The food was so good and reminded us of our grandma's country cooking that we went there every day of our vacation. The service was excellent and the waitress even brought my daughter a "belated" birthday cupcake complete with a lit candle. You have to try this restaurant for breakfast!! You'll eat so much you won't have to bother with lunch!!

We ate lunch there June 07 and were very disappointed in the selection and quality of food. There were 14 of us and no one liked more than one or two items on the buffet. I paid like $13 for my daughter to eat about 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes and drink a glass of pop! I love all wings up until this visit they were cold and slimey! Will never visit again.

This place has the best breakfast and everything is cooked just the way it should be. Our waitress was friendly, and said she had been there over 10 years. It would not be a fun time at myrtle beach without a visit to mammy's. I just wish they had the same sign they had in the early 60's - too bad they had to take it down. We will be back in october - for breakfast, and dinner. I cannot wait! .

Since when is a 10 year old considered an adult.the only thing my other son could eat was the masshed potatoes. I will go back to myrtle beach but will not go back to mammys.

The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was very nice. Our waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Next time we are in Myrtle Beach, I'm sure Mammy's will be our first stop when we're hungry! Also, hearing the history of the place while we were eating was really interesting, I believe she said it was the longest running restaurant in that area. 50 plus years?!

We always eat at Mammys when we are in Myrtle Beach. This year we had the same waitress (Betty) as last year. She was a good waitress. For the price, the buffet is pretty good. I would like to give them a few tips on how to bake a moist cake though. It's been dry every year... but the ice cream is good. Even so, the food bar had good food all around.

My family recently visited Mammy's and I liked the joint so well, I bought 4 matchbooks for $1.00! Just wish I would have bought a shirt. Now all I have are matchbooks. I feel very empty.

Anyway, the food was excellent and the atmosphere is one of a kind. I was pleasantly surprised with the buffet selection. I wasn't hip to the chicken fingers, but dug the mussels. Wait, I think they were mussels, but they were great! Hold on - I just remembered the dessert! Whatever it was, it was superb! Cheers!

We have eaten at Mammy's every year that we come to the Myrtle Beach area. We were there on August 1 and like always we chose the buffet. The first bite of scallops that I took had a hair in it. I told my waitress, who's only comment was that "they had not had a complaint since she had worked there." I did not eat anything else but dessert and when I went to pay, the man asked me how everything was and I told him what happened. His comment was "The waitress had told him what happened." I was not looking for a free meal, but I was looking for an apology. I never had one person tell me that they were sorry. I have never been so disappointed. I will never under any circumstances go back to Mammy's again.

My family and I ate at Mammy's on July 15th and the food and service were wonderful! The waitress was very nice and patient when my six year old and eleven year old were ordering. They have a menu that's kid friendly as well as a great menu for hefty eaters like myself. My wife was also well pleased with the taste of the food as well as the friendly service and reasonable price for the food. We've been to other popular seafood restaurants in the area and they MIGHT taste as good as Mammy's but didn't come close in terms of service and value for money. We will be back!

Wonderful supper buffet. We eat here each visit to the coast. They have the best beef pot roast on the strand. The entire buffet bar cannot be beat if you are looking for meat and veggies with some seafood too. Service is excellent in the smoking section. Dianna is wonderful... she never lets our glasses get empty.

This place is great. Good food, big variety, at a very reasonable price. The chocolate milk is the real deal and their corned beef hash is heavenly.
