The fried green tomatoes are amazing! They are not on the menu, you have to ask for them. Everything else was great too. Mango basil martini - the best!

My family has been enjoying Myrtle Beach for the last 5 years for our family vacation. We have been to Landry's every year and will be back this year. My wife and I think it is a great family restaurant. We have a daughter and son, 10 and 8, who have enjoyed it as much as we have. We always eat our dinner on the deck and sometimes with a visit by the ducks. Our kids enjoy the company. The spinach and artichoke dip, also the crab dip is a great starter. My wife and I have had a fish plate for our entree each time and they all were great. The kids have enjoyed their meals as well. I cant leave out the adult drinks. My wife has enjoyed the variety of bar drinks and i will take the domestic bottle (CL). If you want a great family dinner, try Landry's.

We visited Landry's on Oct. 17, 2009 with a large party of 17 couples. We used call ahead seating and they were very accommodating. Our food was delicious, the orders were correct and served in a timely manner. The crab cakes were very good and so was the grilled seafood platter. Those who ordered steak and other items were also satisfied. The restaurant is pricey but the servings are generous and you can find coupons in the local papers and tourist booklets. Overall everyone in our party was satisfied. I only had a few minor complaints, it really was very good. Several of us ordered entrees which came with a salad served family style but there was no bread. You have to ask for it apparently, they don't give it out with the salads because people waste it. They served it after we complained, but we were on the main course by then. That did not bother me as much as the fact they split our party into two tables with two different waiters and it was so dark at our table I could hardly see the menu. Our waiter was also slow bringing us water and asking us about our meals. He came back saying he had told so and so to refill our glasses but "apparently he didn't." Landry's was packed that night and the waitstaff were scrambling so I wasn't surprised. Lastly, the noise that night was also bad because a large party of rowdy people were yelling and laughing in the back room. Anyone wanting a nice, quiet, romantic dinner was out of luck. Again overall an excellent meal, a bit loud and pricey but one of the best places at the beach to get a variety of good seafood and spirits. Recommended.

OMG! Awesome place to eat. I found it here on this website and thought I would try it because of the rave reveiws. It was pricey, but it was well worth it!! We had a group 7 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 babies and they were very accommodating. We had used a call ahead seating arrangement, but it was really not needed. Our Filet Mignon's could be cut with a fork (literally)!! The Tilapia and Salmon was fabulous! They do provide some on-line coupons which some of our party used, but it limited you on what you could order. The desserts were to die for. The waitress was extrememly friendly and accommodating. Everyone was extremely satisfied with what they ordered. As I said up top, it's a little pricey, but it's not your average steak and seafood house. I have recommended it to several friends who are heading to Myrtle in the next couple of months.

The food at Landry's is some of the best at Myrtle Beach. I always get the Shrimp Fresca (parmesan crusted shrimp). The shrimp is huge and it comes with angel hair pasta. You have to ask for bread if you want it but it is delicious garlic bread. We always come back!

We have been coming to Myrtle beach for years. Finally decided to give Landrys a try....party of 6 seated immediately. Greeted by a server quickly, then all down hill. Salad with meal was good, raw oysters ok, not great. Entrees,: my shrimp platter warm at best, son's chicken fettuccini cold, wife and son's girlfriend ordered lobster tails.....so overcooked and tastelss, the shell crumbled when touched, we sent them back. New ones not overcooked but tasteless. Brother in law enjoyed crab platter with variety of crab. Mother in law had a pasta dish that was only warm. Server seemed incapable of handling his tables, empty drink glasses most of the meal, though he was very friendly. Rather a huge disappointment for a highly anticipated meal.

We were looking for a quality seafood restaurant. We've have been coming to MB for years. The buffets have mass quantities, but the quality is lacking.

After reading reiews here, we decided on Landry's.

Appetizer
Choosing between the "Crab, Spinach & Artichoke Dip" and the "Shrimp & Crab Fondue" was diffacult. Good thing they have the "Perfect Pair" that gives you some of both I rate it a 9 out of 10.

Main course
Me - "Fresh Catch Pontchartrain". I rate it a 9 of 10 as well. Ample portions and great taste. The wife - "Jumbo Stuffed Shirmp" She says it was a 8 of 10. The only note about the main dishes...they were very rich. Next time we will probably pass on the appetizers.

Cost was $65 with no alcohol drinks or dessert.

We went about 5:00 after shopping. we were seated immediately. I'm not sure I would take the kids here.

Our trip to Landry's was the tops for our 7 days in Myrtle Beach. Our group of five including one child were seated immediately at 6:15 PM which is unheard of in Myrtle Beach. The food ordered ranged from steak to sea food and was all excellent with all entrees as ordered. Our waitress, Laura, was excellent and became part of the party. We will be back.

We went to Broadway on the Beach and were in a quandry over where to go for lunch. We checked out Senor Frogs, but thought better of it. I suggested Landry's just up the way. It wasn't too crowded; however, it took a while to get our food. I had a Shrimp Po' Boy that was plump with shrimp and very tasty. My wife really enjoyed her crab cake sandwich. The most pleasant surprise was the dessert, which came free with a coupon in the travel mags. It was a gigantic chocolate brownie which was ample enough for a family of four. Landry's was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend it.

Everything was very nice and I enjoyed my visit. Everyone was very nice. The only thing I wish was done differently would be the treatment on our stoller. It was shoved back into a corner and other strollers shoved into it. I would have gladly folded it up for less room if I would have thought about it or would have been asked.

Three of us had dinner at Landry's on 7/20 and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We utilized their "call ahead seating" and were seated immediately upon arrival. All three of us had seafood dishes and all were very good and consisted of large portions. Landry's is not cheap (few places in MB are) but I feel Landry's offers both quantity and quality for the price We will eat here again.

Due to the fact that the hostesses did not seat us or acknowledge us when we approached the stand, and that we never had a waiter or waitress approach us once we sat down (waited 20-30 minutes for anyone to ask us what we wished to order), this is why I give this review. We finally had to get up from our table and ask for the manager to express that we were appalled at the service provided.

The food was excellent. The waiter was working his first night on the job but all of his actions were closely monitored by an experienced waitress. He did just fine, and the two of them were both pleasurable and quite efficient. My wife and I had a very enjoyable time. I will certainly come back and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks.

AWESOME time at Landry's. Food was excellent and so was the service. It is nice to know when you spend a little more for a good dinner, that you get the finer things that goes along with that price. Linen tablecloths, salad fork and dinner forks, fresh salad tossed at your table, drinks brought to you in nice glasses, and friendly waitestaff. Also very clean in restaurant and restrooms. if you are wondering why I wrote about the linen and silverware, read my review on the Key West restaurant. Can't go wrong eating at Landry's

I made reservations several weeks in advance for a tour bus of 42, gave the information that we were going to the show Legend's so wanted to eat at 5:30 so we could be at the show on time. We were seated promptly but at 7:30 our last table finally got their checks.Repeatedly the waiter was asked to rush it up since we had reservations at the Legends. Several of us waited in the bus at least 30 minutes for the last table. Our drivers are always given complimentary meals at any restaurant but not at Landry's. We had coupons for appetizers and our table asked for the artichoke/spinach dip but got cold crab dip. No explanation. After the appetizers were on the table and we ordered; then were told we had to pay for appetizers because not enough entree's were ordered. Several had ordered po boys and other sandwiches. This was Senior Adults and they generally do not eat heavy evening meals. We asked that the appetizers be put on our bill because we did not want the others to have to pay for something they had not planned on. The food was good but the long wait to be able to pay left a taste that did not bide well with anyone. We bring a large group to Landry's each year and had not had a bad experience before. Next year we will select another restaurant; however. Thanks for letting me complain.

We were seated with no wait on a Monday night. We felt a little under-dressed but they immediately put us at ease about it. (It IS a tourist area after all.) The waiter may have been a little inexperienced, but he worked hard and got everything right. All of the food was excellent. It was a quieter restaurant (I prefer to be able to hear the person at the table with me!) The service was all well timed, friendly, and very professional. This restaurant is a little expensive ($128 for family of 4 including bottle of wine, dessert, appetizer, after-dinner coffee and a glass of port). But we paid the same amount the following night at Key West Grill for similar dinner less the dessert and after dinner drinks . . . . . . and the Landry's dinner was far superior. So I would definitely go back to Landry's.

Our most favorite restaurant at Myrtle Beach and we have been going to this beach for 20 yrs! We love Landry's so much that we have eaten there twice during a few of our 7 day vacations! Must try items from their menu are the parmesan zucchini sticks, blackened chicken alfredo, and their glorious bananas foster. Their salad bowl and dressings are wonderful. Every bite of food we have tried at Landry's has been especially delicious. The seafood is always, always outstanding as well. Go hungry---portions are quite generous and the food is always fresh. When you go inside, notice the great "fake" dessert items that they display. They look mouthwatering. For evening meals, go early by 5PM or before if you don't want to wait a long time in line. It's a very popular place! We will always eat here when we are in Myrtle Beach.

Last time we went to Landry's, we sat down promptly...ordered our meal with a pre-had coupon and asked the waiter what we needed to gtet to insure that the coupon would work with our meal.....ok food...long wait...and THEN...the waiter came for the check, and i told him that he had not rang it up right...he had not used our coupon! Then he very coldly and rudely said that we had to order an entree and WE didn't order correctly, and since we hadd ALREADY eaten...he couldn't fix it....needless to see we will NEVER go back

First time at Landry's, we went for lunch during Labor Day Weekend '07. Beautiful decor/atmosphere, linen table cloths, lots of windows. Bathroom was not the cleanest, surprised since it was not busy - no hand towels. Waiter was young but very nice and accomodating. Ordered oysters on the half shell, steamed... steamer was 'broken'... (?) so went with baked... over cooked. I ordered the seafood platter which was good, but again fried oysters were overcooked, everything else on the dish was good. Wife had a broiled platter which she enjoyed. Lunch cost us $50 for 2 adults and 1 toddler.

This was my first time at this place. With so many other places to choose from I guess I have just always ignored it. We decided to give it a try and so glad that we did. I had the Shrimp Fresca and it is the BEST shrimp I have ever eaten..YUMMY!!! The salad and bread they give before the meal was great and very filling as well. They will change the dressing for you too if you don't want the house vinagrette. Hubby had a shrimp pasta and he could not finish half of it because the bowl was so big. We loved this place and will visit again!!!!

We visited Landry's on our first trip to Myrtle Beach, upon walking in dressed in our everyday wear...we felt a little under dressed...the food was not bad and the service was wonderful...the only thing we didn't like were the prices...then again we come from a small town where many people pay less than $20 for an entire meal for 2. I wouldn't say this restaurant was bad...but if you plan to go make sure your wallet is full and your belly is empty!!

FIRST THING, do NOT be deceived by the coupon you will undoubtedly get from somewhere during your stay which offers "Free Crab Dip, or Brownie a la Mode" because it is barely even a scoop of dip and a plate full of stale chips. The entire menu is VERY pricey and expensive but I had the Buffalo Shrimp(which was delicious and did fill me up) for $8.99 so that was good. Unfortunately, we had to ask for a new waitress because our first waitress was very unwelcoming and had a bad attitude right off the bat; the second one was okay but the first one left a bad taste in our mouth for the rest of the dining experience. Overall, it was an okay dining experience but we will definitely NOT visit Landry's EVER again-- after we left even the locals told us we should not have gone there and then recommended better and more affordable seafood restaurants.

The server was great, very attentive and nice. We had the best margarita's in the world. For being a chain restaurant, the food was very good. Between 4 of us, we had the sea bass, mahi mahi, and a chicken dish. All was very good and plenty of it, actually too much food but the price was right. We did have a coupon for a free crab dip appetizer. Obviously, they make a "special" crab dip for the freebies, as it was a cold one and not the one listed on the menu, which is hot w/artichoke. It was not a big deal, but overall experience was very good.

Awesome! Each time we go to Myrtle, it's a must to go to Landry's. Always plenty of huge portions - no matter what you order. Price is right...just an all around great experience.

While on vacation, my husband, my daughter (2 yrs. old) and I decided to give this restaurant a try. The atmosphere was nice and quie. We were extremely satisfied with the immediately seating. Unfortunately, this was a foreshadowing of the events yet to occur. We promptly ordered our drinks and appetizer. After a long half hour wait, we finally received the drinks (still no appetizer). Once our food arrived, my shrimp was cold and the baked potato was not completely done. My husband's entree consisted of cold chicken and bad fries. (we never got our appetizer) The grand finale was a total bill well over 60 dollars (which we had to insist to remove the appetizer from the bill) which would have been better spent on the McDonald Dollar Menu. Needless to say, we will NEVER go back again.

My husband and I have enjoyed going to Landry's for the past two years. It is a great place to go when you have done all the "traditional" seafood places during your trip. We enjoy the salad and bread and the large appetizer selections.
