Italian Restaurant in Pawleys Island

Landolfi's
Rated: 0 out of 5 with 1 Reviews

Quaint, casual, comfortable little restaurant. Brick oven (wood fired) pizza, paninis and homemade, out of this universe, pastries. Closed Sunday and Monday.

The pizza is wonderful and the desserts are phenominal. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the restaurant. The seating is no closer than in any other deli type restaurant and is not a problem.

This place has phenomenal food. Their pizzas and paninis are hard to beat and the prices are very reasonable. $8 for a sandwich loaded with meat/veggies, chips, and pickle. The oven roasted pizzas are to die for. Great lunch or dinner spot although their hours are sometimes unpredictable... closed on Sundays and Mondays.

This place is by far my FAVORITE place to eat... I love the food and the atmosphere is quaint and charming... I have never had anything bad on the menu and I take everyone that comes for a visit here to eat. So far I have had no complaints. The parking is a bit lacking but for great food, I can deal with it. The inside just was added onto and in the spring and fall eating outside is wonderful. It makes you feel loike you are in Charleston....

We live in Carolina Shores NC and look for any excuse to drive 60 miles for lunch at Landolfi's. It's a taste of South Philly (actually Trenton) in the south. The desserts are amazing.

My family owns a condo in Pawleys Island and we make a special trip to this restaurant every time we are down there. This restaurant is very popular with the locals--always a good sign. Avoid peak dining times if you don't want to wait. They are closed Sundays and Mondays and most holidays. The atmosphere is quaint and the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. The service is always outstanding. The sandwiches are decent (the philly cheesesteak is a favorite of mine), but the brick oven pizzas and fresh salads are really the big draw. Don't fill up on the main course though because most people come specifically for the desserts. I often leave with two or three to last me throughout the week because they are all made fresh daily. I especially recommend the chocolate decadance, peanut butter cheesecake, and red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, but really everyone I've ever taken there has been happy with any dessert they've ordered. Prices are very reasonable.

After hearing only good things about this restaurant - on several occasions I attempted to eat there - but there was always some problem. No parking, a private party in session, no seating available. The size of the place is not very comfortable or inviting - - and noisy and chaotic. The staff seem overwhelmed and, understandably - are not very personable. The one time I did eat there, the 'roast pork' panini (toasted) sandwich, was not as described on the menu. It appeared to be just slices of cold cut variety (toasted), rather than real 'roasted' pork. The table and chairs are uncomfortably so close to each other ...Overall, dining there was not a pleasant experience.

Just moved here and my realtor and another resturant that was also good told us about this place. Excellent food only downside I experienced was the noise level but they appear to be expanded in size Worth the try.

If you want homemade deserts that are picture perfect, and pizza that makes your mouth water, this is the place. Nothing in Pawleys Island compares to the amazing food and family atmosphere. Try it...it is worth every bite!

I have no hesitation in saying that Landolfi's has the best pizza in South Carolina, and I believe I have done enough "research" to make that a meaningful statement.

They also have absolutely killer desserts, in particular, the Tiramisu, the Chocolate Decadence and the Key Lime Pie.

You may want to go at an "off" hour as the place gets quite busy during prime lunch hours, and remember it is only open for dinner Thursday through Saturday.

Deli style atmsophere with fantastic food and awesome Italian pasteries. The prices are a little high but I think it is worth it for the quality. Traditional brick oven pizza is great as well are the sandwiches.

On the way to Edisto Island for vacation, my family was looking for absolutely anything that we could find to eat on the road. As we saw our choices narrowing the farther we got away from Pawleys, I saw the sign for tiny little Landolfi's and suggested we try it out, even though it may not be good since it was just a little tucked-away cafe on the side of the road. I was so wrong, and I must say I was delighted at my mistake!! Most everyone in my family got brick-oven pizzas, which were wonderful. I ordered a panini and ate the entire thing. Somehow we all managed to fit in dessert, but we couldn't have resisted since the selection was displayed before us in a glass case. The chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake were perfect- and complimented each other, for that matter. I recommend this to anyone. AN EXCELLENT CHOICE, though you would never guess as you drive down the road and could almost blink and miss it.

Yum, yum, yum..... I am a local who easts here again and again. I would reccomend the chicken salad crossiant or any pizza with red sauce. For dessert...tiramisu (don't know the spelling) or the lobster tail cannoli's are excellent too!.

The place serves great pizza and desserts. It's casual and crowded, so expect a wait, not kiss-your-feet service. There's always a crowd because it's so popular. Desserts are a must!

My wife makes it a point to have the chicken salad sandwich each time we are in Pawleys. She says it is the best she has ever had.
