We have eaten here several times and each time it gets better and better. While the food has always been very good on our last visit it was outstanding. Be prepared to wait during prime time if you don't have a reservation ( and sometimes even if you do) since the restaurant is not very big. Delisioso!

Avoid at all costs! Because of traffic, we were precisely 4 minutes late for our reservation time, and they had already given our table away to someone without a reservation! And didn't even apologize or compensate us. I wanted to walk out but my wife wanted to wait. Mistake--took 25 minutes to get a table, and we were sorry we did. The waiter was incompetent, unwilling to take food orders at the same time as drink orders because he was afraid he would get confused. His very words! The menu is "Italian" in name only, and could only be appreciated by someone who thinks Pizza Hut is authentic Italian. The décor is ugly, the bathrooms dirty. Save yourselves, don't eat here if there is at least 1 other restaurant on the planet that is open.

I doubt if I will return. Food is fairly good, but repetitive. Most entrees are covered up so much that it is difficult to discern what is underneath. Everything, I mean literally everything, is dumped on some sort of high calorie pasta. No originality, once the proprietors leave their pro forma comfort zone, they are lost. The wine list was about the only thing that was above par for the area. GF

At our visit to La Cucina, we were very pleased. We made reservations an hour before our reservation time. There were 7 of us of all ages. Soon as we got there our table was ready. We sat down and ordered and then they served us excellent garlic bread! Once I took a bite, I wanted more. Then we had some nice salads. Our main courses came pretty quickly. I had the lobster ravioli and I ate it all. It was absolutely delicious! We all enjoyed our meals very much. For our youngest, the waiter was nice enough to get the kitchen to separate his because he wasn’t sure he would like it all. For dessert we just got one of each because there were a lot of us and we would all share. The waiter was very hard working and seemed to always know what he was doing. He was very enjoyable. The only part I wasn’t sure about was that it only felt like one person was running the front. It seemed like there was only one waiter, one person running the bar, and the rest were cleaning. There was also no female staff. I don’t find this a problem but it confused me. I don’t know if there were any in the kitchen but as much as I know there were none. Overall this was a very pleasant visit and its now somewhere we will go to eat when we come back on vacation.

The restaurant has a difficult time greeting its patrons and honoring reservations. We arrived ten minutes before our reserved time, and waited thirty minutes for our table. We were never greeted, nor told how long our wait would be. Overall, the food was fine and service was hurried but attentive. We didn't feel like they appreciated our business, so we likely won't be back - especially considering there is another option for Italian fare down the street.

Been there for lunch or dinner about four times. Food is phenomenal and the menu quite appealing. A small place, and if very busy the service might be slow. Don't expect to rush in, eat, and then run out in a hurry. Nice atmosphere and very quiet. Highly recommended for locals or tourists.

This place has amazing Italian food and the service and prices are very reasonable. Ate there on a Tuesday evening and loved both meals we got, went back there Wednesday for another try and the same super good food was served. I have one more night in Sunset beach and I am wanting to go there again, somebody talk some sense into me, you need to eat at many different places on your vacation but I keep wanting to go back!
