I think the barefoot store has no respect to the local people. Their priorities are deffinately in the wrong place. The young staff go to the young men an women thinking that I suppose their tip is better or their trying to hook up with someone ! I thought when you go to eat in a place its who comes in first. The food I have always thought was very good but the mangagement does not know how to teach the workers how to serve properly ! Nor do the management think the customer is correct. I am appauled at the treatment I received today an will never return an will not recommend them at all to anyone !

My wife and I have eaten here several times during our visits to the area. This last time on April 29, 2012, while I was eating I turned my burger over and noticed that the bottom bun had been bitten. When this was brought to the attention of the on-duty manager, she acted as if there was nothing wrong. At this time I shall never eat at this Johnny Rockets again.

We visited Johnny Rockets with our 4 year old granddaughter the last week of October. We were seated immediately since there were few people in the restaurant. After a lenghty wait, the waitress came to get our drink order and informed us that she was overly busy and asked for our patience; however, there were at least five employees behind the counter just hanging out. After a while our food arrived without the fries. After our sandwiches were half eaten, with sauce dripping off my husband's burger, the fries came. We asked to speak with the manager and she nonchalantly arrived to our table to "help us". She did take the burger away and made a new sandwich for my husband. My granddaughter inquired about nickles but we were never given any and the two waitresses half heartely danced when a lady with a special needs child asked them to dance. Bad experience and we will never visit there again!

9/16/2011 went for a malt and just something to snack on. Ended up doing lunch and waited 20 minutes for food. Sat right away, ordered pretty quickly than sat and waited. To also get just sandwiches ie: burger and steak sandwich without it coming with fries or rings is incredible. Saw this franchise on Undercover Boss, maybe the "boss" should talk to guests and not workers to see where the money is. Overpriced for what we got.

One expects a good meal, while on vacation, to be a little on the pricey side HOWEVER we spent $50 on meal that could generously be described as mediocre at best. Being vegetarians at the beach is no easy feat but we figured we couldn't go wrong with egg salad sandwiches and a shared plate of fries. We ended up with melted milkshakes, cold spuds and stale bread. Our server was nice but clearly would rather have been doing something else someWHERE else. All in all a disappointing experience - even for our 2 year old who is amazed by everything.

Very cute place to eat once in a lifetime. VERY VERY expensive just for burgers. For an adult and 2 children I spent around $50, and this was in 2006 or 2007. I'm sure the prices haven't gone DOWN since then.

We were seated very quickly, we enjoyed the music and my children enjoyed the dancing. The restaurant was very hot! However, we will never be back. For my family of five to have cheeseburgers and fries it cost $72.00. We should have got up and left when we read the menu!

Had a great time listening to the music. We got nickels from the waiter to play the jukebox at the table but ours was broken, as were 3-4 other ones we tried in the restaurant. The waiter was kind enough to play the song we wanted off their system. The food was pretty good but way over priced. Fun atmosphere but not worth the price.

Johnny Rockets is - in a nutshell - a very overpriced burger with a 50's theme. When certain songs play, the servers dance - many of them seem bored out of their mind to have to do this. Sometimes you get decent service but not always. Sometimes, the servers are just downright rude and will ignore you. You'll pay at least $10 for a burger, fry and a drink, more if you want a shake. I'd advise you to take that money and apply it where you know you'll enjoy a better meal and service.

I was there in November for Thanksgiving and visited Johnny Rockets for the first time! Something must have changed because the burgers did come with fries or onion rings (I recommend the onion rings, they come with a ranch dip.) The service was great, and price wasn't too bad. They were having a special that time too. We had the Houston Burger and I am a vegetarian, they happily substituted the beef patty for a Boca Burger patty no charge! Had a great time

Since we've eaten at other Johnny Rockets with good results, we thought we'd try this one. My cheeseburger was dry and overcooked and my husband's patty melt looked overdone as well. His milkshake was good. There was no crowd at all. Entertainment felt awkward since we were the only couple there at the time.

Way way overpriced for the quality of food and service. Had to constantly try to find our waitress to make requests for the most simplest things such as silverware, including a knife to cut the too thick burgers. And she brings us plastic knives that sure didn't do a good job. Cute atmopshere, the only thing going for it. Shakes are $6 each, Burgers with NO sides are around $7, just one thing of fries was $3+.

Ok the employees are dancing outside as we walk by..so they caught our attetion. we say ok lets give it a try. we walk inside(the employees dance) they throw nickles on the table for the table junkbox(never got to hear our songs btw) and ask us what we want to drink. We soon discovered the $ Burger did NOT include fries?!?! ( i guess the owner dances over that one). What's really sad is i love the 50's theme at this place BUT after paying over $70 for me and my family of five to eat one burger and a fry (not incuded) and a drink sadly we will not be back. I personally think this place needs to dance and entertain less and offer an aforadable place to eat if i want to pay for a show i will go to medieval times !

Well Johnny Rocket's maybe you need to lower your prices. Looks like majority rules and your prices are too high. Food might be good but when a customer pays too much, the customer's tend to stay away. I know you can do it. Lower your prices and the customer's will return.

If you want a burger-go anywhere but here, had to send mine back twice, ordered mine medium, came out like beef jerky. Go to either Five Guys or Sonic, avoid this place at all costs.

Ugh. How to rate Johnny Rockets....hmm. We expected a lot more, let's put it that way.

The food was decent...not great, not oustanding...just average. Drinks were okay, service was average/good. Atmosphere is pretty cool and fun. But it's a horrible value. The check was something like $40 just for the three of us - me, wife, teenage daughter, for a burger/fries/drink each.

Themed restaurants in general seem to be pricey, especially at the beach - but you really expect a lot more in terms of food quality and portion. There was absolutely nothing that made us want to ever return again, particulary since there are so many restaurants in Myrtle Beach that are very good and have a much better value for your dollar (hint - Five Guys burgers, Chilis, River City Cafe)...

So overall, it's a nicely themed restaurant, but that's about the only good thing I can say.

I've eaten here twice; once with my daughter when we were on a 'girl's weekend' and once with the whole family a couple of years ago. We are headed back to MB this summer and will likely go there because the kids think it is the best...Mom and Dad aren't as crazy about it. The food is way overpriced and after you see the dancing waiters once, it's just never quite as cool the next time. What can I say, I'm an old fogey; but the kids will probably drag us back again this year.

We've eaten here a few times, but i'll have to agree that they are way over priced. This year we took our 2 grandkids while their mommy and daddy were out celebrating their anniversary. You'll do anything for the grandkids, so the price wasn't an issue. The food was good and served hot. The t-shirts were the best deal. Two for 9.99! I love the atmosphere and music... reminds me of the "old days". Too bad the prices don't reflect that too...

This should tell you something; $5 for a plain milkshake, add .49 for any add ins. If you are willing to pay $10 for two mediocre milkshakes (that remind me of Burger King shakes-the taste was similar to a powdered shake, not handdipped as the menu stated) this place is for you. It is more appealing from the outside.

Our visit was during our yearly vacation to Myrtle Beach. We wanted to eat there last year but ran out of time. This year we made plans to eat there, but after being there our hopes of a good meal and fun time were quickly deflated. The service was fair our waitress took care of us just fine. The noise level was a bit too high for my family. The food was average tasting. The price of our bill just floored us though. For our party of four it topped out just over $49 for three milk shakes, two deli sandwiches, and two orders of french fries, and one soft drink! Sorry, but never again. McDonalds will do just fine next time.

My husband and I and out 2 boys ate here while on vacation last summer. It seemed like a relaly cool place to eat and figured the kids would love it. We were very dissatisified with the food and even more dissatisified with the prices. This place is WAY to expensive for what you get. I thought for the price of a hamburger it would come with fries but the serves informed me that the price was for the burger only. I then saw the price of $2.99 for a order of fries. I assumed for that price, one order would be a hefty size for two small children. I was wrong, it wasthe size of a McDonald's small order. I will not be going back there again for sure.

We tried Johnny Rockets a few years ago, and it was not a great experience. My food was okay, nothing to write home about! My wife had a chili dog, that she could not eat. Since I have a cast iron stomach, I decided that I would eat it for her. It was the worst, I've ever eaten, and I was sick as a dog, the rest of the day!! Others have eaten there and liked it, but never again for us!! I did enjoy the music though!!
