Review: Me and my family went on vacation last May and decided to eat at Margaritaville. We must have been lucky becasue we had a 10 minute wait and the service was really good. It had a wonderful tropical & family atmosphere and we all had a good dining experience. The price was very reasonable and the food was really good and the portions were nice sized!! No complaints here...we're going back next year. THANKS FOR THE GREAT SERVICE AND DELICIOUS FOOD!

Review: When we arrived we were quoted an hour and a half wait we were called in 40 minute. I had the beef quesodia it was excelent! I had the bbq burger and my wife had the bacon cheese burger. She said it was good. The place was great except the girl on the stilts making balloon figures for kids. She was kinda crabby because she was on her way being done.........over all it was a great experience!.

Review: We were regulars at this restraunt-At our last visit a couple weeks ago the who atmosphere had changed. The stilt walker scared our grandson because she stood near our table and became very loud and would not move away, although she was hollering at people across the room. When the food arrived it was not good, and so expensive, mostly bread with very little meat and dressing. I love Jimmy Buffett, and do not believe he knows how the food has become so tasteless at this location.

Review: Okay...I know the wait was long but it was worth it...this is what vacation is all about. My family and I had a FANTASTIC time...the atmosphere was a lot of fun. Our food was very good and the drinks were yummy. We made a great memory at Margaritaville and will come again next year. I heard negative comments about the food being overpriced and the atmosphere too loud but we decided to make up our own minds about the place...I would reccomend this place to anyone looking for some fun and wanting to make some fun vacation memories :)

Review: This place was a HUGE disappointment, the wait was 2 and a half hours, so my boyfriend and I decided to try our luck at the bar. Amazingly we got two seats and sat down for drinks and dinner. The conch fritter appetizer was the only shining point for this place, they were excellent. The food was horrible otherwise, it seemed like they were all pre-made and then thawed to serve, no taste and waay overpriced. The bartender was obviously trying to rush us out because it was so crowded. It was loud and annoying and had a vaguely mold-ish smell to the whole place. I would not ever come here again, there are so many better places to eat in Myrtle Beach.

Review: Waited 35 minutes for a table and the hostess said we were only waiting for 20 minutes. The hostess was very rude and told us that they have call ahead seating, but it was booked for 2 weeks. How do you book call ahead seating two weeks in advance when you don't take reservations? Left the restaurant without eating because they hostess left "a bad taste in our mouths."

Review: I came here in May and the food was great with only a wait time of half an hour. I was very disappointed when I went last night (7-21-09) and the wait time was 3 and a half hours! This is insane! It was good but there are better restuarants in the Myrtle beach area. Today I tried to call ahead and they say they're booked for two weeks. I was very disappointed!

Review: This is a joke. My food was the worst food i've ever eaten in a restaurant. Do not go here unless you want to have horrible service and bad food. I should have thrown my money into the water by our table and gone to a fast food restaurant. This is how bad it was. Beware the bayou pasta and beware the shrimp because it is cold. When complaining, I received an apology and that's it. No money off, no offering of a free dessert. Also, I felt like I was at dick's last resort because of our smart-mouthed waiter. My salad had rotten lettuce and the dressing was basically water, not a vinaigrette at all. My husband's burger was so dry and my friend's chicken sandwich was inedible - tough and weird tasting. The atmosphere of this place makes everyone think they are having fun, but the food will make you sick, then when you see the bill you will be angry. Don't waste your money it is a rip-off!.

Review: We waited over an hour to be seated outside, and our service and food was TERRIBLE. The waiter was overly rude, and even made fun of us for not drinking alcohol. I can't stand this, and I almost walked out. Do not push drinks on anyone, you don't know why they are not drinking, it could be a health problem, as it was in our case! He told us it isn't Burger King, and then used this as our nickname and was very rude. My pasta was beyond watery and had fatty bacon pieces FLOATING in the watery "sauce" that was supposed to be a cream sauce. The chicken was not chicken breast, but instead was deli sliced chicken that was bad quality. I was so disappointed. My boyfriend's sandwich was bad, and the burgers my friend's had were declared as worse than fast food. This is not worth the time and REALLY EXPENSIVE PRICES!!!!

Review: My family and I went to Margaritaville for the experience and the atmosphere that goes along with the restaurant. We waited almost two hours to get a seat during peak vacation time in the evening. The food was average, but the service was great. Order the coconut shrimp with glass of lone palm ale. It was loud even on the second level, but you can't beat the tropical feel to the restaurant. All Jimmy Buffet fans should go.

Review: The food here was hardly worth the wait. I understand that the main thing about margaritaville is the atmosphere, but the atmosphere doesn't mean jack when you have to sit outside. The waitress was nice and helpful, but the food was only par...and at these prices the food should be better than average. The food was kitschy...or, what you should expect from a tourist restaurant. Anyhow, don't wait more than 30 min for a seat...it's really not worth it.

Review: This restaurant is for tourists who are looking for a good time. If you are on vacation and don't mind waiting (there is an outside bar to get drinks and entertainment) it is worth the trip. Yes music is loud, Stilts man is very entertaining, volcano is great. My kids love going but know to expect a wait even with reservations. Food is good but not exceptional. If you like good food and don't mind loud music but want entertainment, you should try it!!

Review: My girlfriend and I have been to Margaritaville in SC 4 times in the past 2 years! Each time we were seated in a different area, which has allowed us to view the atmosphere from different locations. We've never been disappointed and absolutely LOVE the place. First of all, it is a themed restaurant so the long waits are expected! It's well worth it! The music is loud and the food is a bit pricey. But that's also due to it being a themed restaurant. The atmosphere is FANTASTIC and full of entertainment. The hourly sing along and hurricane Myrtle show is awesome! Visiting Margaritaville is always the highlight of our trip! We have plans of visiting again in Sept of 2009. We'll probably eat at this restaurant everyday twice a day, for it's worth it! The South Pacific BBQ Ribs are to die for and the margarita's are the best! Would highly recommend to anyone and have! FINS UP

Review: My wife and I took our two sons in February of 2009. We had a great time and our sons (9 and 12) really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. The Volcano Nachos were awesome and so were the ribs that I got. As we are Jimmy Buffett fans, the music and atmosphere were really good. The boys loved the guys on stilts that made the balloon swords and hats. The staff was wonderful and very courteous. I would recommend this to anyone and I have.

Review: My husband, our two children and I had lunch at Margaritaville on a Tuesday. We arrived shortly after they opened, and were one of the first groups seated. Our son wanted to sit in a booth "inside the boat." We were told that would not be possible because that table is reserved for parties of six. Our server insisted the restaurant would be full in 30 minutes with a waiting line. Not even close. By the time we left, nobody had been seated in the boat, and in fact, there were several open tables in the restaurant. My husband and I agreed that Jimmy would have said, "Sure, sit wherever you'd like." The food was average at best, but we love the atmosphere. The woman in the gift shop was the most pleasant employee we encountered.

Review: I love this website & I visit it quite frequently. I love to read people's reviews. However, whenever I read some of the posted revies of Margaritaville, I was amazed. This restaturant is clearly my favorite, no competition. I love it more than anything I have in my city, or any of the 56 cities I've been too. Whenever I planned my trip to Margaritaville, I knew that there was going to be a wait. Whenever I made the reservation the day before, they told me I could still have a wait no matter if I had a reservation. In result, I came prepared. Me & my husband had came prepared to shop. But, we didn't have too! We arrived at 4:00, the time I had made my reservation. We were expecting a wait, since there was quite a few people there. But, the very polite & handsome waitor came & took us to one of the best seats in the place. He sat us on the boat. Whenever we sat down, we were very glad about the view that we had recieved. We got to look at the lake & the fountains. We saw the boat that gave people rides. We could see the kids having fun at the new amusment park. [Pavillion]. It was without a doubt, amazing. Everyone in the attraction [Broadway at the Beach] looked very happy & pleased to be there. We could hear all the athentic music that was playing in the stores, & we could even hear the fish flopping in the water below. Our waitor quickly handed us our menu & i skimmed it. Everything looked excepional, authentic, tasty & delicious. We had defintily came with an empty stomach. For starters, we decided on the Jamaican Mistaica Wings. They were delicious, fantastic, anything adjective there is too name a wonderful starter. They tasted just like something you would get out of Jamaica, they were without a doubt, amazing! The habañero- honey sauce was GREAT. Along with the mango dipping sauce & cucumber sticks. If you haven't tried this & you are planning a trip to Margaritvaville, GET THIS!! I wanted to order it over & over & over & over & over again. For our second food, we got Filé Gumbo. It was exceptional. Probably better than the best Gumbo they serve in Georgia. It was better than the kind served at Bobby Flay's restaurant. No lie. The shrimp was plump as a grape & the flavor was fonominal. The crab was delecious! There was no words to describe it, unless you've tasted heaven. The andouille sausage was better than any sausage I've ever tasted. The chicken must have came from the finest chickens in all of SC. The rice was cooked to perfection, tasted like a perfectionast Chinese chef had prepard it. The spices & bit off heat set it off. I would reccomend this to anyone!! The third food I tried was the Coconut Shrimp. YUM! This is now my favorite food & I will only eat it from Margaritaville. It tasted AMAZING. The breading was perfect. Props to the chef! The orange maramalade horseradish was amazing, I loved every bite more & more. Whenever It was all gone, I could've cried. The fresh veggies tasted like they had been planted, grew & harvested right in the kitchen. They were fresh & tasteful. I ♥ Jimmy Buffet! Our fourth food was off the "Grille". It was the BBQ Ribs. Oh My lord, this was tasty. For starters, the sauce was better than my mama's & she one first place in the fair 17 times! I could never taste anything better than that. I chose the South Pacific Sauce, & i Don't regret it. I got a half rack, but then I ordered another full rack. The meat was practically falling of the bone, it made my mouth water like a waterfall. Oh Lord. Oh lord. Oh lord. The Chocolate Hurricane is to die for. I loved it, & I will never taste anything like it again. I can guarantee that. The warm, chocolate brownies were warm & melted in your mouth. I loved this. Never take it off the menu! Never Neveerr. I will have to killl you. Kidding! The atmosphere was the best. I loved it. thanks for a great time.

Review: We have eaten at margarittaville several times. It never fails to amuse me when the "hurricane party warning" comes on with the weather channel's jim cantore, followed by the giant rum hurricane in the blender! I love watching the tourists smiling and laughing! the service there is always good and the food is tasty. The volcano nachos are a great value and nicely done. I have only had a cheeseburger in paradise but it was your average $10 burger and fries; it was fine. On my birthday they brought me a lovely dessert. Locals do get discounts there and it is a fun place to go. The only drawback I see is that it is very loud if you are trying to have a normal conversation; but just for food and some fun, definitely go there! .

Review: We go every year and can't imagine missing a trip! This is the one place we as a family can go and be completely happy. The kids aren't ready to go as soon as they finish eating so the adults have time to enjoy their food without being rushed. Our favorite is the over the top blender. If only I could have one that size in my house! We've never been disappointed during any of our dining trips. Can't wait to go back. Sounds like it is time for a weekend trip to the beach!

Review: My roomate and i went to Margaritaville in myrtle beach for a late night meal and entertainment and thought it was great. We go often because we go to college nearby and have enjoyed it everytime! The people that work there are always on top of things and the Volcano Nachos are great! Would highly reccomend that if you are looking to split a meal with a group of people, its huge! And the band, cant remember the name, that played on dec. 4th was absolutely AMAZING! The only thing i would reccomend is actually putting what band is playing when on the website because i will come back anytime they were playing.

Review: This is a great place if all you want is to listen to music and watch stilt walkers move around. The food was awful and not presented as advertised. The waiter was some smart alec kid with a poor attitude. He couldn't get the order or the silver ware right. Some manager came by and said "I was going to ask if everything is alright" but knew it wasn't and just walked away. Small portions to boot. If you want a carnival atmosphere this the place...if you want decent food and service it's not.

Review: My daughters and I ate at the restaurant in Cancun. My daughter and I ordered coconut shrimp. It was the worst coconut shrimp we ever ate. When we bit into the shrimp it was very gummy. We didn't even hardly see any shrimp at all.....it was mostly coconut. We were very disappointed in the meal.

Review: We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, but this will be our last! My sister called in April for the call ahead seating since we had a large party of 15. The day before our seating, my sister called to confirm our call ahead seating at n7:30 and they said we should check in at 6 and would be seated around 7:30. We also had some prople with medical conditions that required them to eat regularly and let the staff know this. We arrived at 6, checked back in at 7. We spoke with the manager and let him know. He said to check back in at 8:30. We did and they told us it would be another hour. In the mean time, friends of ours walked in at 7 without calling ahead and with a party of 8 and were seated by 8:30. Still at 9:30 we were not seated, we had spoke with 3 managers and were basically told too bad, they do not need your business. At 10:00 we were finally seated -- 3.5 hours later. Our friends told us that many tables were empty and not bused for over 20 minutes. This was disrespectful to us and completely uncalled for. The one manager said he would take care of us and he gave us the 10% AAA discount. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!

Review: Every time we go to Myrtle Beach, I make my husband take me here. The food is awesome, service is excellent, the band is great, it's an overall good time. We'll be heading there next week and I can't wait. This place rocks!!! Tip...wait until after the dinner crowd to go, it's more fun because all the families with small children are gone by then and that's when the band plays.

Review: I am a all-star cheerleader and our group was down there after a cheer competion at the Place as soon as it was over everybody headed to Margaritaville and we were seater in less than 5 minutes. The food was GRAET!!!! Me and my friend got a drink (kid friendly) it was really good every kid needs to try it, you will find it on the kid menu (well i found it there). It doesn't matter if I was starving and didn't care about the food!!! I WOULD GO BACK THERE AND EAT AGAIN! ACTUALLY I AM GOING IN A FEW WEEKS!!!! Review: I can't understand most of the reviews. The food is average and the prices are a bit above average. What bothers me most though is if you can't carry on a conversation with the people at your table and the staff can't hear you place your order the music is too loud.

I like music but I like to talk with the people at my table also.

I've been twice. Once right after it opened and then again a coupleof months ago. Nothing had changed. Never again.

Review: When my friend, her family and I visited Myrtle Beach, we waited until the last day to visit Margaritaville. I ordered a virgin strawberry margarita because i'm too young to drink. I also ordered a burger tat had the hickory sauce on it and it was amazing. Everything was great and I will definitely come back! Thanks for an amazing time!

Review: This is a silly place with lots of noise. The server was not happy to see us AT ALL. We waited and waited, finally the girl who had walked passsed us 20 times said, " I'll be with you in a minute." She could have said that a half hour earlier and we would have felt better. All the bad music and fake boat stuff aside, the food is really good. Not much of a selection but the few things they serve are good.

Review: Me and my Girlfriend went to Panama City, FL for my first spring break with some friends. Thinking that it was the last day and we were close to a beach, why not enjoy some great seafood on our last day of our trip. We both ordered and shared. we shared their crab cakes, and Bayou Chicken Pasta. After waiting forever we got our food and it was cold below warm and we both got food poisoning on our last day of spring break. Warning.... The restaurant is not what everyone makes it out to be and we both were regretting not going to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Review: I go to Myrtle Beach 2 or 3 times a year and never miss a chance to head to Margaritaville!! The food is great and the service is phemominal - We went there often on our last visit and our bartender, Patrick, got to know us by name by our second visit. He treated us like regulars!! the atmosphere is spectacular with the memorilbilia and the view overlooking the complex. i would recommend this to anyone looking for great food, great music and great service!! FINS UP!!! PS... try the ring game by the bar... its addicting

Review: It was a quiet off season day at Broadway @ the Beach. We got to JB's for lunch and were seated immediately. The place is amazing to look at. We were seated on a "boat" deck. totally unique and comfortable. JB's music is playing everywhere and a goofy Margaritta Show happens every hour or so (A giant "hurricane" rains tequla into a blender!!). Our server was as cutie as you will see and very good. But, the food,...a Cuban was good, a shrimp salad skimpy and a burger very un-inspired. All the food is $2 -$5 overpriced. but they have a great location AND a Hurricane show!!! Isn't that worth $2-$5 ????

Review: Went right after it opened and haven't been back. Stood in line for the patio seating that took about an hour which isn't bad for the summer. Problem was the outdoor entertainment was so loud you couldn't hear the person at the table with you speak. The waiter had to yell to be heard and you had to repeat your order over and over. Absolutely miserable dining experiance. Food was standard chain fare, nothing special.

Review: We visited this restaurant in Myrtle Beach last June and the service was excellent. The food was great just a little pricie but very good! The strawberry daquri was excellent. My girls and their friends loved it. We were a party of 2 adults and 6 kids ranging from ages 12-17. One waiter even took time out of his busy schedule to get his picture taken with my 15 year old "who thought he was hot". All in all a great experience and we will visit again this June when we go to Myrtle Beach!

Review: I have to say this - I loved the food, loved the atmosphere, but hated Margaritaville's Margaritas! HATED THEM! My friend and I each had a different specialty margaritas as well as the classic and the fancy/deluxe--all of them were sickeningly sweet, syrupy and weak. They need to make their margaritas from scratch with either Rose's Lime Juice or real lime juice and not rely on the lousy mixes they must use. They tasted like they forgot the tequila as well. Next time I go there, I am going to ask for a custom margarita and write instructions down for the bartender to follow.

Review: Margaritaville is a Parrothead's Mecca for Jimmy Buffet fans!! My friend and I visited in August 2007. The band was great, the atmosphere was exciting and the food was excellent..they don't call it the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" for nothing!! The only disappointment was being told that the wait time to be seated was two hours, but my friend and I only had to wait 10 minutes because we ate at the bar instead which is "first come first serve". It is very noisy in the restaurant...but what do you expect..it's the hottest place in town!! I will definetly go back....it's well worth the wait!

Review: My husband and I visit MB 2-3 times a year and go to Margaritaville every time and always have had a good time and great food. Wait is longer in the summer months, sometimes up to 3hours, but still worth it. We usually go shopping on the boardwalk while waiting. Bar outside the restraunt is fun. Review: We go here every year but it's not really for the food. The food is just okay. The menu is an offering of burgers, sandwiches and island casual entrees. Last time I was there I ordered the fish and chips. Not bad but really nothing special either. What makes this place so much of a destination is the energetic and fun atmosphere of the place. And it's such a cool looking building, inside and out. The wait at this place is exorbitant....I'm talking hours. My suggestion is to skip the food here and just hang out at the bar and have a few really excellent Margaritas and enjoy the atmosphere, or go later (around 10) when the dinner crowd has died down. Insider tip...they accept call ahead seating here which basically means that you get to skip ahead to the front of the line. But this is limited to a small number of people and must be done months in advance. So do some planning.

Review: We had made call ahead seating reservations 3 months in advance for a trip we had planned to South Carolina. We came down with family for an anniversary party. We had been to Margaritaville in Florida and loved it so my husband and I recommend this restaurant for the celebration. We were told when we called for the reservation that this was for call ahead seating and that we could get there early for an 8:30 reservation and we would be put on the list right away. We were told that our wait time would be cut in half. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:00 in the hopes that we would be only waiting 1 hour which is more than a reasonable wait time. My husband was told by the hostess that we could not sign in until 8:00 and then we were not guaranteed our seating until approximately 9:30-10:00. We were very upset by the misinformation given to us by the person on the phone. We had small children with us and everyone was dressed up for the anniversary celebration. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the management in this particular restaurant. We did end up eating elsewhere and we were seating almost immediately. We had a party of 10 and your restaurant missed out on our business. We will probably not be making any more requests for seating at your restaurant again and we will not be recommending you to anyone until the policies change. Things were much more organized and efficient in Orlando. Many people were turned away that evening and were very disgruntled. We passed by the restaurant at approximaely 9:15 and there was no waiting outside. They should not tell people that there is a 4-5 hour wait if there is not. You lose a lot of business with this policy.

Review: This was my worst dining experience on the Grand Strand or anywhere in the world. Had to wait for a pager for a half hour then wait for another hour. After ordering had to wait 50 minutes for the food which wasn't as good as food from a fast food restaurant. The waiter kept hitting us up for drinks while we were waiting for the food. The restaurant was 86 degree's when the ourside temp was 94 degree's. Will never go back. Well over rated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: I truly feel that my 3 hour wait was not worth the food at margaritaville. I felt that the menu selection was poor and not enough variety. The waitress was awesome but it was so noisy that it was difficult to hear the person next to you and although they said the air was at 65 degrees it was approximately 80-85 upstairs as we were all soaking wet with sweat when we left and we are not big people. It was an experience I will not do again and I will never recommend Margaritaville to anyone. and by the way DON'T USE YOUR DEBIT CARD!! Review: This place is a joke! we had to wait about 2 hours to be seated (we tried to beat the rush by getting there at 4:00). The waiter seemed like he'd rather be someplace else. I talked my daughter into ordering from the child's menu. I told her that the mac and cheese would have to be great because it cost $6.99, instead they brought most of a box of kraft mac and cheese. It's pretty bad when a 9 year old looks that disappointed. My salad literally had water in the bottom of the bowl. The lettuce looked very old. I thought I was never going to be done with it. This was such a disappointment. My husband and I went away thinking "are people really this starved for entertainment!" there are too many good restaurents to wast one meal here. The only good thing I can say is the new girl that made the balloons made my daughter laugh. My family of 4 spent $60.00 it was one of the worst meals and not worth the wait! .

Review: Because of the reviews on this site I knew exactly what do to. The wait is long but if you do it correctly it flies by. My fiance and I went at 4:30 and were told it would be a 3 to 3 1/2 hour wait. I already knew that so we planned on a late dinner. We put our names down and shopped at broadway. We had so much fun together, and then we went to margaritaville. It was the most fun jess and I ever had at dinner. The service was great, the food was fantastic. We got calamari for an appitizer, then I had the coconut shrimp and she had a sirloin and shrimp. We also had a bunch of the different drinks that they offer. I thought the bill was fair with food and drinks (about $60.00). We are use to that though. They had jimmy buffet playing, and then came the live band. Kieth was a waiter and we was fantastic. And the people on stilts were alot of fun. We would so go back again...and again....and again..

Review: The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the wait. It is RIDICULOUS!! We tried to go one day (June) with a wait of 4 hours. We said No!!! Went back the next day around 2pm and had to wait 2 hours. Not as bad and really wanted to go in there. LOVED the Atmosphere. It was so cool. Hurricane Myrtle was great and the kids had a blast. Review: I wish I could give more than 5 stars to the atmosphere of this place. It's so cool! I was so skeptical about trying it due to the whole "novelty" factor. And it is just that: a novelty restaurant. The menu is slim on choices but the food is actually really good. Beware of the Volcano Nachos. Tasty but it's huge! Sure, it's loud. Sure, the wait is long if you get there past 5. But again, it's a novelty restaurant. You totally have to try it. It's so worth the wait. If you're not the party type or not into having a good time, don't bother. We don't want your negative attitude to give a review. Just walk on by. If you are into partying, stop by for a rum runner and start singing. SALT! SALT! SALT!

Review: I have visited Margaritaville MB twice. Both experiences were great. The first visit was during the summer with my boyfriend. We waited about 45 minutes for a table, and our wait staff was overly attentive to our needs. The environment was noisy, but family-oriented. My second trip was later that same year, with my mom. Again, same great atmosphere, same great food, same great service, even in the off-season! As far as recommendations: the Cheeseburger in Paradise and the Cuban Meatloaf Sandwich are great. Sure it is a little expensive to eat there, but in my opinion, you really get your money's worth, as the entrees are not small. If you'd like to go but avoid the long wait, I recommend going during the lunch hours. You may not see the live band, but there will still be plenty of entertainment for the whole family. As far as the noise level is concerned: if you ask to sit along the patio/deck area, the noise will not be as bad, Just don't sit near the stage in the evenings, because it will be very hard to hear once the band starts to play.

We're going to Myrtle Beach next week and have already planned to dine there at least one night of our stay.

Review: This is a great place to be entertained and fed. Keep in mind that it is noisy, and the wait is long, as it's in a resort area, but worth it. The food is great for it's type, and if you go at night you get live entertainment for the price of a "cheeseburger in paradise" (which is yummy) the waitstaff is friendly and attentive, and the whole experience is fun. We've eaten there at least 8 times over the past 3 years vacations, and have been pleased every time..

Review: I went to Margaritaville for the first time with my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago. Neither of us had any idea what to expect. When we arrived the waitress told us that there would be a thirty minute wait. That was a little long, but she gave us options for activities to fill that time. She handed us a pager and told us that it would work anywhere on site, which included the bar, the gift shop, and a couple of the neighboring shops and boardwalk area.

We decided to go to the gift shop. I bought several gifts for friends and family and then we hit the bar. We each bought a delicious drink and just milled around enjoying the atmosphere. Once we were seated our waiter was really pleasant. He explained the restaurante and answered any questions we had including the fact that there was a dinner show of sorts every hour and fifteen minutes. We each got a cheeseburger type meal....which was wonderful. I couldn't help singing Cheeseburger in Paradise to myself when my food came. "I like mine with lettuce and tomato, Heinz 57 and french fried potatoes, big Kosher pickle and a cold draft beer. Good god almighty which way do I steer." - JB

Our glasses were never empty and our waiter remembered everything that we'd ordered without having to be retold. The restaurant was loud inside, but that to us just seemed all part of the scene. Like a huge beach party that got pushed inside because of rain. Then the show started. We were on the top level so it was a little hard to see everything that was going on, but the energy was infectious. We saw a guy on stilts that was getting the crowd into singing "It's five o'clock somewhere." and the hurricane began to turn faster. Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel was hosting the mock hurricane report on all the TV's. Then out of the center of the huge funnel cloud that hung from the ceiling descended this huge bottle of tequilla to dump liquid into this massive blender that sat on the floor. It was fabulous. Really entertaining.

Another surprise came at the end of the meal....our bill was only $30......with alcohol, sweet tea's, and our food.

A really great experience, but you have to keep an open mind...this is not an average restaurant. This is a beach party gone wild, so don't expect quiet conversation and annoymous dinning. You are at a party and you have a shared experience with everyone else in the place. How can you not, when everyone around you is singing out loud without shame?

I will be going back.....no questions asked. This weekend actually.

Review: My family and I visited the resturant last year and have been looking forward to it again this coming weekend. The highlight for our vaction that my son mentioned to everyone was the resturant. From a five year old, saying "This is an awesome resturant and mom I had a blast". Review: I have been to Broadway six times and have eaten at several restaurants , all were good BUT Margaritaville was the BEST. I've gone back eight times. Yes,you usually have to wait a long time to be seated,but it is absolutely worth the wait.The food is really good and you get large portions. The drinks are delicious! The very best part is the hurricane show and the STILTWALKERS.The very best stiltwalker is a girl named Lisa.She is very agile on those things and her ability to iteract with the guests (of any age) is amazing.Her wit and humor is a real treat to everyone. The kids love her and the balloon hats and animals that she makes. She's a real gem!!! I plan to keep going back every chance I get. I recommend it highly.

Review: We visited in Aug 2006 and thought we'd try this new restaurant. We've been to Myrtle Beach several times and each time try new places. We got seated right away and then got bombarded by the guy and girl on stilts. They were constantly in our faces making it hard to talk about anything. Even when we requested they bother somebody else they wouldn't leave our table. They were really pushing us to buy drinks - really expensive. We just wanted to enjoy our meal. We decided because of the constant badgering from the people on stilts and the waiter, who wasn't much better, we won't be returning to your restaurant. The food was just ok - but overpriced.

Review: We ate at Margaritaville on Jan 1 - so there was no wait. It was our second visit; we were there in April and it was long wait and so-so food then, but on Jan 1, it was the best meal we had of our entire trip! The food was sooooo good! Everyone got something different and shared and we loved it all. I had the Pulled Pork sandwich which was really good with a great flavor and a great portion size. The fries were hot and the seasoning on them was awesome. We had two rounds of various drinks that were really good. Our server (Patrick) was super attentive and we had so much fun we wished we could have rewound the weekend and came there (instead of the awful Dead Dog Saloon we went to on New Year's Eve.) We will definitely go back! Perhaps the secret is going in the off season.

Review: I was disgusted with the management in this establishment. A manager actually took it upon herself to demand that the bartender add $20.00 to my tab for which they were holding my debit card and not tell me. She decided that since we had been there an hour and a half before they began a cover charge she was going to take money from me anyway. Luckily the bartending staff was much more professional than their leadership and told me of the charge and apologized profusely. The manager then proceeded to throw a humiliating tantrum to rival the most rotten of two year olds. Needless to say I will never set foot in such a place again and I urge everyone who does to be cautious.

Review: I must admit that I did not want to go to this restaurant. I usuallu avoid the theme restaurants because they are usually over crowded and are tourist traps. I had the best time and can not stop reccomending this eatery to every one. I had a blast and the food was awesome. Our server was great the manager was making the rounds. The hostess was very friendly and they even had a mime! I looked around at the other patrons, and young and old were having a great experience.

Review: Wow, I'm so surprised to see such great reviews for this place. My family and I visited last October and we didn't care for it. It didn't take long to get seated, but we waited for 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered and it was not crowded at the time. The service was fair. The food was not very good, though the drinks were great. I had a crab cake sandwich and it was extremely fishy. The price was high, but I expect that in Myrtle Beach. We'll try someplace else next time.

Review: People need to realize what they're going to get before they enter this eating establishment. The name says it all. Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. Of course it's going to be a complete novelty experience. Of course it's going to be over priced. Review: I called ahead two weeks before we were there. I was told it would cut our wait in half. Still waited almost 2 hours. However, it's not their fault. People just won't leave once they're seated! It's just too much fun! The food came pretty quick & was good and hot. We (4 adults & 2 children) had the Volcano Nachos as an appetizer and they were AWESOME. I think we all had the Cheeseburger in Paradise except for our 5 year old grandaughter who had an entire box of Kraft mac & cheese. We had to ask the stilts guy to come & make balloon hats for the kids. He passed our table several times but was too busy making balloons for attractive young women instead of kids. He did make the balloons for the kids though once we asked. We sat right in front of the band which was very good. It's no wonder people don't want to leave. The gift shop was jammed packed & way over priced, but it didn't stop us from dropping a few bucks for Buffet memorabilia. We had fun & will probably be back next year.

Review: The hype about this restaurant is sure big and we could not wait to try it. After waiting a very long time (over 2 hours) to be seated in 100 degree weather (and we did get there before 5:00) it did seem somewhat disappointing. We were seated in the upstairs part of the restaurant and it was VERY hot and uncomfortable to say the least. Review: We have visited twice. Seated within 30 mins. Our first visit the food wasn't so great wouldn't recommend the steak and shrimp over seasoned. Margaritas small and expensive.Server was very friendly. Nachos were excellent. $105.00 for 5 people and two were children. Kids really enjoyed the the show and balloons that were made for them. That was last August. We came again this past May and it was a different story. Seated on arrival. Server was very Friendly again. We ordered the nachos (great as usual), jamistica wings (amazing), We all had cheeseburgers in paradise (good burger didn't finish, fries were excellent), and I tried a tropical hurricane drink it was good. $55.00 for 4 people. We all had an excellent time the balloon guy was just great even made me a hat, very funny, singing along was fun. If you don't like alot of noise ie singing, talking this is not the place for you but, its good to cut loose sometimes. We are going back again in August. My kids know all the Jimmy Buffet songs now and it is so fun to watch them sing along at the restaurant and have a good time. great family moment.

Review: Margaritaville definitely lives up to all of its hype. The food and service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was the best in town. I really enjoyed the live band, however I also enjoy loud, live music. Those who dislike loud music would probably dislike this feature. The choice of seating between inside with all the music or outside on the boat-like structure is very nice. There are also two bars, both inside and outside. This is a great party spot, and the staff was helpful to our intoxicated guest. ( Lol. ) The only drawback is the hour or more wait to be seated. Get there early to prevent a very long wait. Also, the merchandise is very unique and humorous, ranging from t-shirts, license plates, to drumsticks and banners.

It's a great place to go for both atmosphere and food as long as you have the time to spare.

Review: For the time we waited... it was worth it. We had a 2 hr wait, but were able to shop while we waited, so it didn't seem that long.

Our waiter was Keith, and he was absolutely awesome. My 16 yr old son, had a problem with his food, and Keith quickly resolved the problem. All of the other food was fantasitic and the show and atmoshphere was awesome as well. They had a great band with live music. Review: We have been in Margaritaville three times over the last six months. The service was great, we had to wait 2 hours over Thanksgiving weekend and it was later in the evening, but other than that a half hour at the most seems normal. We enjoyed the bands and the kids on stilts! I find them entertaining and so did our twenty something daughters:)

Review: We went to Jimmy Buffet's while we were in Universal Studio's in Orlando, WOW! This was our first time at a Margaritaville restaurant and we went 2 night's in a row. The nacho's are the best I've ever eatin' in my life, both kid's (5&11 boy's) were very excited the whole time,wife had Pina colada's and I had numerous Bahama Mama's, best drink ever. Sorry to hear others have had bad experiences at other location's, we had a friggin' blast. Review: We went as a party of eleven. We were told a 21/2 to 3 hr wait which was fine at the time, because we would take waiting and going to the shops. At almost four hrs later.. we finally went up and told them this was crazy.( and yes we were mad .) We had some children and did not want to leave thinking we would be called at any time. we also had to wave down people to get us drinks and appetizers and it just seemed like an inconveniece even before the wait. Our waiter had apologized many time because he was told what had happened and he was trying to make things right. We then got our food and the kids burgers were over cooked, My seafood pasta salad had an old lettuce taste to it and a steak was over cooked as well. Two side items were not warm and I really cant remember anything else. IT JUST WAS AWFUL. My girl friend wanted to go because she said the food was good and the kids would have a blast. Which they did for a while with the band and the guy on stilts But, that kind of wait.. and not to have awesome food or even an apology from someone other then the waiter who of course.... Is going to and we know who did not make it a bad experience.

Review: We were a bit disappointed with this Margaritaville. We've been to Orlando's and to Key West's Margaritavilles and had a blast! We planned to eat "cheesebugers in paradise" but after over hearing the comments from one of the tables and seeing the burgers ourselves we decided to just get some drinks. The live entertainment was good but the lack of Buffet songs and the stilt walker's balloon air guitar through 2 sets was annoying and distracting. Just didn't expect a young cover band in a Buffet joint. Also after finally getting seated and upon settleing our table bill, an already paid bar tab (2 beers) was included on our bill. No worries, the server was friendly and working hard so we didn't make an issue.

Review: Very disappointed in this place. I'm a local and have been twice, once for dinner and the other for lunch.

Two thumbs down on the food. I had a steak the first time and a cheeseburger in paradise the second. The first time in the hostess was a little curt. The steak was tough as leather. They forgot the potato and brought it out after I had finished my meal.

The music however was great. The second ocassion I had the cheese burger in paradise. I've had better burgers at Wendy's at a fraction of the cost. They using processed American cheese on a thin burger. Bad News.

Review: A parrot head paradise (NOT)! I was extremely dissappointed in Margaritaville. I am a parrot head. I've seen Buffett 9 times in concert, belong to a Parrot Head Club and have over 30 CD's. I looked forward to going to Margaritaville.

We went, and they had the hurricane turned off, so we didn't get to see that. The stilt walker asked for requests. I asked for "We are the people our parents warned us about", he looked at me as if I were stupid and said "Are you trying to make a political statement"...No I was requesting a BUFFETT SONG!

My husband asked for grapefruit/juicy fruit, and the stilt walker said "OK, I'll put down Margaritaville and cheese burger in paradise!"

The food was mediocre. The margarita's expensive at $7 a pop and not very big, and the kiddie menu expensive $8 for mac n cheese and a drink.My daughter was dissappointed that the stilt walkers were making every one balloon animals, and didn't make her one.

My husband and I will remain die-hard Buffett phans, but we are very dissappointed in our experience at Margaritaville!

Review: Where to begin? What an awesome place! Jimmy's got a gold mine here! The colors are vibrant, the music is festive, the food is scrumptious, the staff are always smiling. Okay, so we waited FOREVER to be seated, but they made up for it! There are lots of places to eat: inside there are high tables, low tables near the band and boats you can sit in. Outside has two areas: the sandbar that has adirondak chairs around low tables as well as the boat deck that overlooks the water. The balloon hats are great and everyone loves the "storm" that occurs every 1-1/2 hrs. We spent a bunch of money on food and booze, plus in the shop, but it was a blast. Of course we'll be back.

Review: Got there early and was seated inside one of the boats with my husband and 4 children (ages 3-10) in about 10 minutes. They told us it was going to be about 30 minutes. Food was great! Service was great! My children loved it except for the hurricane. One of my children got a little scared. My husband wanted to come back for his 40th birthday which was july 12th, but we couldnt afford a five hour trip. Maybe next summer we will come for another vacation. Review: We went to Margaritaville with my parents and my kids aged 2-10. It was a little loud, but very fun. The food was excellent, and the desserts were delicious. The service was great except for it took ten minutes to get a milkshake. The atmosphere was great, and the kids loved the hurricane and blender. FANTASTIC clowns on stilts! The value was fine, and we went at two thirty so it only took ten minutes to be seated. It was loud, but with kids we added to the noise. We would go back again for sure!

Review: I'm here to say that this place is absolutely awesome! On a trip to Myrtle Beach for my daughter's birthday, an evening at Margaritaville was the highlight of our trip. What a wonderful atmosphere, and great food, I would recommend this to any vacationer as a must to go! We are planning trip to Myrtle Beach for July 4th week and will most definitely book an evening of fun at Margaritaville... It's always 5 o'clock somewhere!

Review: I loved the atmosphere and the fun feeling in there! I would definintly go back again. Jimmy Buffet is soo incredibly awesome and I loved the stranded on a sandbar bar! The huge lawn chairs were awesome! If you haven't been to Margaritaville, you haven't experienced life!! And that is a fact!

Review: Make sure you go early. We went on a Monday at 6pm and there was an hour-35-minute wait for the inside and a 60-minute wait for the patio. They provide pagers for the inside and you have to wait in line for the patio. We chose the patio. The atmosphere was excellent and servers were good. The food was very good - crab cakes were excellent (mostly crab), the shrimp pasta was very good, a seafood/cheese/spiced dip appetizer was excellent (wish i could remember the actual names!) and the margarita's were very good.

Review: Don't go if you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner! Although we did see a guy ask for his girls hand in marriage on the night we went. FUN, FUN, FUN!! We have been a few times and night time is the best. Food was good and the staff very friendly. Keep your eyes open for everything that goes on around you.

Review: The purple "hurricane" that rotated on the ceiling, made thunder-like noise, and dumped a "storm" into a really really large blender was a little hokey. Other than that the decorations and atmosphere were fairly interesting. Most important, very good food and and excellent service!!!

Review: We went for a late lunch. My husband had the Cheeseburger in Paradise, and I had the fish sandwich. We shared the sandwiches, and I'll say you will feel like you are in Paradise while enjoying the show like atmosphere, and delicious food. You expect any minute to see Jimmy pop in ! The waitstaff was so polite, and made you right at home ! On our next trip , we will go for dinner to REALLY enjoy the lights and FUN of Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville !
