Diverse menu that you would probably not expect, but pleasantly surprised. We are open for lunch and serve food late night! Our chef has 17 years experience in the restaurant business and takes much pride in our food quality. Live music 3 nights a week. Pool table, darts, & bowling strike games available for anyone. We also offer NTN Trivia and we have all of the sports game packages on our 20 TV's for you to enjoy! Whatever you want to watch....We have it! The best thing about us is that we are always here for you 365 days a year. We are open for our local family and friends!

Review: When I use to frequent the Island Bar & Grill...I lived and worked in the area...I must admit I went there for the Coronas!!!! I loved the food, the bands and playing some pool...We do not have anything that compares to this bar in Columbia.

Review: you cant beat this place you are treated like a person the food is great and during the NFL season its the best place to be to watch your team play pay no attention to what other people say about this bar because they are wrong when they say the bad things bottom line is this place blows murphys law away along with all the other local bars in the area you want to have a great time go to the ISLAND BAR AND GRILL

Review: Way too smokey. The other bars in the area are less smokey and just better. The food at Island Bar is very average and the staff is average. The bands they have are below average. The prices are higher than other bars too.

Review: This place will surprise you with their food. I can always find something tasty to eat while watching a variety of sports and chillin with friends. Good food, good beer (is there anything other kind) and really good people. The owners are two very personable and friendly people and they hire the same type of people to work for them. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax for awhile.

Review: The Island Bar is our "Cheers". If we are going out it's our first choice every time. The food is very good and you can often find something off the menu being offered as a special to mix things up.
The owners and staff go out of their way to make sure you are entertained and there is always something to do, whether it's shoot pool, playing trivia, watching the game, or enjoying an occasional pig roast.
The crowd is an ecclectic mix of all ages and and its not unusual to see the regulars laughing and talking to the first-timers. Give 'em a try!

Review: Island Bar is the place to be. There is something going on everynight of the week. Even in the 'off-season'. The food is great and the prices are even better. I would recommend heading out on a Thursday night and catching the house band Psych Ward. We will be back very soon!!

Review: This is a bar, with all the swearing, drunks, smoke and other bar type behavior that is expected. Not a place to bring children although we saw children in there, which always amazes us how that is allowed in SC. The kids get to smoke and listen to foul language along with their drunken parents. The food was marginal, we ordered a hamburger plate and an order of wings, the wings were good, the burger mediocre, stale bread and dry fries. The place was generally roadhouse clean, which means not clean by restaurant standards. You could cut the cigarette smoke with a knife. Seems like a place for locals to grab a bite when drunk, but nothing to go to for the dining experience.

Review: We have been going to the Island Bar since they opened and have watched them make one improvement after another. The food has always been better than you'd expect in "a bar" and the staff has always been fun and friendly.
The devil is in the details though. I'd really like to see them care a little bit more about the appearance of the place (cleaner bathrooms, fewer cigarette butts out front, lids on all of the condiments, etc.) because those are the little things that keep me from recommending it to someone else, which is really a shame because the food and people are great.

Review: The Island Bar and Grill offers ABOVE AVERAGE food at bar prices. I found the staff very friendly and easy to talk to. They were all knowledgable in Mixology and seemed to have alot of fun while they entertained my family and I. I would recommend the Rodeodillas. The rodeodilla is a BBQ chicken quesadilla that is loaded with chicken and delighfully seasoned w/ BBQ sauce. I have also been there on a Sauturday afternoon for there $3 QUALITY burger special.
