We have been going to South Carolina for over 10 years and find this the best Mexican restaurant bar none. We happened upon it when they were first opened and have been enjoying it more and more each year. The owners and staff make you feel like family, as they recount your visit from the year before. The food is authentic mexican and the best you will ever have. Kid friendly environment, beer is always cold and margarita's are awesome. We will be going down this week and look forward to going there our first night.

I love Habaneros. My friend and I eat there at least once a week on our lunch break. The food is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. We rarely have to wait long for our food, even when they are packed. I love to sit out on the deck - even in the heat of summer there is always a nice breeze to keep it cool enough to be enjoyable, even when I'm dressed in my work clothes. I absolutely love this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I ate at Habanero's on our honeymoon! We loved it! My husband is usually not a very adventurous diner but I talked him into going out for Mexican and it ended up being his favorite restaurant of the trip!!! Great service, great authentic food, and neat atmosphere!

This is old school mexican food. My only complaint is they need to have more meat cutters..

What people don't understand about Habanero's is that THIS IS REAL MEXICAN FOOD...not Americanized Mexican. This is the real deal people, the meat is not going to taste like Taco Bell and neither is anything else. Ten years ago I met Anna, Hector, and Lupe Garcia and understood what they wanted their restaraunt to be. They have a great staff that is friendly and always on their toes. We would go to Habaneros every friday with our friends and their children. (great kids menu too) Since moving to Pittsburgh, I miss them as much as I miss their food. I also miss the atmosphere that it gave off. So all bets are on a return trip to visit with all my friends the next time I come home to Pawleys Island.

My family arrived at Pawleys Island starving and found Habaneros. My two girls loved everything about it, as did the grown ups. Margaritas were excellent!

My husband and I ate here, and we both had combination dinners. the food was great, the prices were right and the service was great. We sat at the bar and our service there was fantastic. The bartender said his name was Dan, he was jovial and entertaining. We never lacked for a drink and would gladly return there as often as we can. We have also recomended Habanero's to our friends and told them to be on the look out for Dan, that they could do no wrong if he was behind the bar.

The best mexican restaurant in the area. It could use some updating, but the food and the wonderful family that owns the restaurant more than make up for any shortcomings. They accommodate special requests and will fix your food just about any way you want.

I've eaten Mexican food all over the South East - in Mexico and Texas. I absolutely think the Garcia's at Habanero's have the best, homestyle Mexican food anywhere - Ask for the smoked Habanero Salsa - it's delicious, extremely hot but well seasoned. Their Yolandas (chicken enchiladas) are better than anyone else's.

The only thing this restaurant has going for it is the deck out front. If all you want is a margarita or some nachos on the deck, go for it. If you want a real meal look elsewhere... very poor quality food preparation. I am a big fan of Mexican food, but this is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I have ever visited.
