She ordered a medium rare burger but was very well done to black edges. Did not eat entire burger. I ordered a prime rib sandwich ( same as I have for years) cost went up and the cut of meat went down from a half inch to one eight inch. I thought the up price would have covered the cost of the meat.service was good as the 20% tip show. ref: 28424

Waitress was slow in taking order. Took drink order with a couple at our table and when I started to order my drink....was told she would be back! Duh, I was there before the other couple even though we were sitting together. She was slow and gave no service. I didn't even get a refill on my drink. WILL NOT GO BACK. ref: 27894

The ribs were amazing and the sale price on Tuesday for the ribs were outstanding. Beer was cold as ice. The pretzel were fresh and hot. The hamburger was awesome. We would recommend Greg's to everyone. Waitress/ bartender were very fast and efficient. Thank you 6 stars ref: 27654

Greggs is one of those places where it's like driving though the big city,try to avoid rush hour it's all about timing,so you like ribs either go early or stay home ,yes it does get very busy and there's a reason for that .alot of loco's go there but also vacationers like myself .so if your in a hurry your in the wrong place so kick back relax grab a beer or 2 and enjoy the gift of life!. ref: 27159

Lived here for 2 1/2 years this was our first time there! Wow the ribs all I can say is WOW!!! Staff was great...Plenty of food..what more could ya ask for!

Went there on Rib night. Out of ribs by 6:30. Also Trivia night. (Question: why have 2 promotions on same night, Place is jammed, and only 1-2 servers?) Hoped to get meal before Trivia (starts 7:30) Got drinks and Appitizers promptly. No meal by 8:15. Told that order was "lost" Got meal after one of our party asked at bar about it. 8:15. Came out perfect, even subbing the onion rings for fries! When bills came, separated exactly as requested..and that hardly ever happens! Some of us wrote notes about poor service, and that we were not tipping (TIPS=To Insure Proper Service) our usual 20%, Server went ballistic, yelling about the lateness being the fault of the kitchen, that we were "screwing the wrong person" and a threat that they would "be waiting on us" next time, which we took to mean they would be sabatoging our food. Attempt at humiliation? Sorry..not dropping to your level by yelling back; you only made a fool of yourself. This was not our first time at Gregs. But it will be our last. There was no attempt at apology, no "let us pay for your drinks", no "Would you like to speak to the manager?" only one over-worked, upset, rude server. We went to Gregg's to play Trivia and have our meal an hour before the game, which starts at 7:30. We knew in advance tha the place would be full since it's also "rib night" (not good planning on Gregg's part, to have rib night and Team Trivia the same night) We seated ourselves asap. A server sarcasticlally asked if she could clean our table. She also told us that even tho it was rib night, they were out of ribs at 6:30. Two of us ordered Chicken sandwiches.Three ordered burgers.Then the table next to us got ribs. Must be they ordered before we did? The Bartender took drink orders at 6:47, according to our checks, and filled our drink orders quickly. Apps were served promptly. A server refilled the "Teas" We didn't see her again. Some time went by, and we didn't get our meals. One of our party went to the bar around 8:15, and our drink server came over with an "excuse" about our order being " turned over," or lost in the printer. If that was the case, how did we get our apps? We did get our exact food orders in less then 10 mins after that. We asked for our bills. Some of us wrote notes on the checks, saying that 6:47- 8:15 to get our orders was unacceptable, and our usual 20% tip was not going to happen. There was no attempt at apology nor any attempt to make us feel better or make it right. The 2nd server tried to humiliate us saying, "You're screwing the wrong person." and "When you come back, remember, we girls will be waiting on you." which means... someone would likely be spitting on our food. ( know this from having a family member in the waitstaff business). She said something about making sure one of the customers should make sure they get their dime change back.She also shouted in my ear so that all in the restaurant could hear that hamburgers take a long time to cook, so of course our order would be out late. Three other parties came in after us got their burgers before us. We had been there twice before. One of our party is handicapped and uses a wheelchair. I guess that makes it inconvenient for the waitstaff, as well as for the customers, never mind the handicapped person. But we don't need to worry about our food being sabotaged. We won't be going back to Gregg's Cabana Bar. PS I pd by VISA, so they know my name there. ref: 26238

Gregs has always been a favorite of mine and my friends, but
on my last visit a couple of weekends ago I had possibly the rudest waitress Ive ever encountered there. She was lacking in customer service and more into herself that waiting on customers. When I do go back I will definately be on the lookout for her and if this happens again I will be talking to management. Not everyone can be a waitress!!!!!!!! ref: 26015

Been going to Greg's for years, I took some of my family there August 25th 2012, the person behind the bar took our order which later we had a complaint which we were very nice about it she acted like she could care less. I was there again on September 15th got the same girl and I hoped she was more polite instead same old nasty attitude. Lady you need to change your ways because lots of other people were going to come with us and I told the not to bother, missed out of lots of business that night! BUT food is GREAT!!! ref: 25986

Vacationed at surfside for the first time this year. Noticed Greg's Cabana Bar on the way in. Read some reviews online and decided to try it one day for lunch. I was very impressed. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger and it was awesome. I knew I was in for a good burger when the waitress sat it down and could smell the fresh aroma. Burger was very large, hand patted and cooked perfect and very reasonably priced, 6.95 with fries. It was all I could eat for lunch, and I'm a big guy. Blows Hamburger Joes out of the water. I sat at the bar and was greeted and served very quickly. Great burger and 2.00 draft, how can you go wrong. I will definitely go back next year, probably a couple of times. ref: 25817

Not sure what is going on with Greg's these days. Still giving the food the o.k. but, the staff there is somewhat lacking . Was there twice on Friday (lunch and later that nite for dinner). My girlfriend and I walked in at lunch took a seat and waited........ Finally had to get up and order our drinks at the bar thinking that would trigger the waitstaff that we were there for lunch. After 15 minutes we got waited on.
Dinner same thing but had to go back to the bar to let them know we wanted to order something to eat. Get with it guys!!!!!!! ref: 24554

We had the opportunity to visit and found the service quick and carmella wasted no time coming to our table,she was very friendly and gave all the info on the special of the day, I had the ribs which were just great and my wife has mushroom burger which according to her was one of the best she has ever eaten. Im local and I go there from time to time to have drinks and food, but dont think I will ever go back. Hank the owner is great, but his staff is very lacking in brains. I order the same thing to drink every time and the price changes every time I order. Bud bottle is 2.25 one time, and 2.00 the next. Then I ordered a shot of Jack and was charged 7.00. Is that the going price for a shot of Jack? I pay 3.00-3.50 every where else. They act as if to serve you is not there job but a Privilege to the customer. Then they wonder why I dont tip. We went to Gregs at about 6:30 on a Thursday. After finding a table, we waited about 5 minutes for a waitress and then I went to the bar and ordered beers and menus for my wife and I. There were only two people serving the bar and tables. A waitress finally came, and I ordered a burger and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. A half hour later, never having a waitress stop by, I went to the bar and got two more beers and assumed our food would come any time. More than half an hour later, I saw people who came in after us being served. I flagged the waitress and asked about our order. She told us it hadn't even been started yet because theye were cooking ribs on the grill! Why not tell us that when we ordered? Who knows when we would get served? We cancelled and went to McDonalds. Can't attest to the food. We never got any. But this place deserves an F for the worst service we've ever had. C'mon, hire another waitress or two. ref: 24251

Buy far the 'BEST Burger @ the beach'!!! Cheeseburger in Paridise, awesome. Regular gang seems to get all the service, but the cook was so very intrested that the burgers were good. We are regulars, always at end of Myrtle. Always know even if we call it in to go, still steamin' when you get it home. Kill's"River City Cafe"....not what they used to be. We've been going to Greg's since we moved here four years ago. Service was always good. Chris and Whitney were excellent servers. Always had a great time and the food and drinks were a good value. Last time we went, which was in July, we couldn't get waited on. We were sitting at a table and my husband went to the bar to get our drinks. We sat there for about half an hour and nobody waited on us. We finished our drinks and left. Don't know if we will go back again. ref: 20132

We love this place!! The prices for food are excellent!! You definitley get your moneys worth and you won't leave hungry. Great drink prices too!!!!!!!!!! I guess thats why all the locals go there. My wife and I have been going to greg's since it opened and it's still a very special place to hang out and have a good time.
The food has always been great especially the BLT's on Toasted Texas Toast and of course the " Best Burgers on the beach " But somehow it's not the same since gregs' gone.

We overheard a conversation about Greg's while at a bar in Murrells Inlet, The bartender told another patron that Greg's has the best burgers on the beach, so we decided to check it out for ourselves the following week.
It is true!!! Greg's has THE best burgers on the beach. They also have the best steamed shrimp (with lots of Old Bay seasoning...the way it should be done!).
Barb the bartender is awesome and the service is always excellent.
This is a fun, friendly, local bar that has great service, great food and ice cold beer. Lots of TVs, and even a few pool tables in the back. Always lots of fun, nice people from all walks of life. Greg's is officially our #1 hamburger/beer joint.
Only complaint would be that they need to put up some Baltimore Ravens memorabilia, especially since there's so much Pittsburgh stuff on their walls!!!! ref: 4755

Every year on saturday when we arrive, we stop at Gregs for lunch, consisting of a cheeseburger and fries. Of course the frozen mugs of beer are a favorite too. Then we come back 3 to 5 more times throughout the week to enjoy the bar, the patrons, and the staff. All of which make you feel at home. We found Greg's on a whim back in 2002. Now we consider Greg a personal friend, who catered our wedding in 2003.

I've known Greg since his days at the Boca, and have been going to Greg's since it first opened in '94. If your looking for a friendly, laid-back, relaxing time with good people, cold drinks and great tunes this is a place you have to attend. Not to mention the sensational food and service. Some of the best times I've ever had at the beach. What a place! Congrats Greg, you are a big reason why people love Myrtle Beach!

Best Damn Hamburger at the Beach and by far the most fun during Bikeweek. A must stop during your ride in Myrtle Beach! Greg has something special everyday during Bikeweek. We go there every year!!!!!! ref: 380

We visited your bar during the Fall Rally and had a blast. Out of all the bar's we went too we had the most fun at Greg's. We pretty much closed Greg's down 4 of the 5 nights while we were in Myrtle Beach. We will be back for the Spring Rally- so we will see you then!
