My husband and I are locals and dined here last night and the food and service were excellent. Our waiter, Tray E., was very attentive and checked back with us throughout our meal. We started with a medium order of fried calamari and the portion was huge. Then we each had the "queens cut" prime rib medium with baked potato. The prime rib was superb...hardly any fat. Potato and prime rib were nice and hot. We ate there once before about a year ago and the service/food were also excellent. We don't get to North Myrtle Beach often since we live on the south end.

Very disappointed in the prices. Highly over-rated. Served 4 & 5 year old adult portions AT adult prices. Never assume that your server would recommend a child's menu. I felt they just wanted the money and didn't give us the value.

This place rocks!! Visited during 4th of July week and the facility was packed. Stunning building and atmosphere. We were seated right on time (had a reservation) on the patio and could not of asked for a better spot. Me and my wife decided to eat fish... she had the tuna entree and I had the salmon succotash. Both were excellent! Our server (Chase- probably one of the best we have ever had) reccommended these entrees as they were their top sellers. I can understand why as they were delicious. By far our favorite meal of our vacation. When we return to Myrtle, we will eat there more than once next time. Go to this establishment, ask for the patio and Chase when you make your reservation. You will not be disappointed!

During a family visit to Myrtle Beach, I decided to take my family for dinner at Greg Norman's Australian Grille. What a mistake. We should have gone to the Outback. My steak was blah, nothing on it. I told the waiter and he advised me to use some salt. Of course, that will give it some taste. The others appreciated their appetizers, but not their dinner. When the bill came, which was more than $1,000, I made a "joke" to waiter and asked him if we could get a free drink. He responded that he would ask the beverage manager. He came back and the beverage manager had responded negative. Wow, bad service, bad food, high prices and greedy. Gregg my advise, get good people to run your restaurant or sell it, because this place distroys your name, credibility and reputation. Do you care about that or only abour money. Provide service to people, you greedy one. I will never go back.

I took my parents out to lunch where we ate on the patio. I have been here many times before and have always been very pleased. We were greeted and seated immediately with a relaxing view of the waterway. Our server was knowledgeable, very helpful, professional and courteous. Our lunch was very good. We will return in the future and recommend Greg Normans to our friends.

Great view, good calamari, ahi tuna was very good. The steaks were terrible, tough and overcooked! Love the location but will definitely never order steak again!!!! The server never asked how the food was and when he picked up my half eaten steak I mentioned quietly that it was tough and overcooked. He ignored me and threw it in the garbage. I own restaurants and almost never complain but I was very disappointed with the meal. Want a great meal go to Collectors Cafe!

After reading the reviews posted, we were a bit intimidated..but went anyway. We are so happy we did. Our waiter's name was Chris, and he was excellent. Friendly, very attentive and the very definition of southern hospitality - Thanks Chris.....Food excellent, hot, and a fun time had by the ten people in our group. We recommend this dining establishment very highly... It is NOT a fast food, in and out. Thanks so much, we will return..

Worst service in Myrtle Beach no doubt!! We walked in and nobody wanted to wait on us and looked at us like pretty women on rodeo drive. Was seated outside at the smallest table possible with spider webs all around us. It was 90 degrees that day and we asked for shade and they told us their was nothing they could do meanwhile there were empty tables all around. Food taste aweful and its way to expensive. You could smell the trash, fish, and whatever else possible in the water behind the place. Took about 45 min to recieve our meal and the waiter was rude. Trust you don't want to go to this place. So many other nice places to eat in Myrtle.

This was our second visit to Greg Normans and OUR LAST!!!! The first time we went, we did not think about getting a reservation and when we asked if we could be seated the hostess haughtily replied that we could be seated in the back of the restaurant, but that there as no way we could be seated on the deck overlooking the river. That was fine, we understood that we were not going to get the best seat, but when she took us to our table she placed the wine list and condescendingly informed us this was the wine list, as though it was a new concept for us. We were very disappointed in the food options, as we’ve been to Australia and other than the wine on our first visit very few options were authentic Australian cuisine. My husband ordered the pork chop and I ordered the duck. His pork chop was done well as my duck was overcooked and very dry, in fact most restaurants that serve duck have it very moist. We decided to give Greg Norman’s another try. So we called ahead and were seated on the deck. It was warm, but it is the summer, although one would have thought there would have been fans circulating the air. Our meal was OK. The menu options, under specials did improve a bit, as there was a more traditional Australian salad option. I got prim rib and my husband again went for the port chop, which he ordered medium, it came out charred and when Jose our waiter served it to us, he said it was “a little more done than medium”… really, it was burnt and very fatty. My husband tried to eat it but gave up… My prime rib was find, but nothing exceptional. When our bill arrived ($75.00) we gave the gift certificates my husband had purchased, which they would only honor one of the 2, even though there were no restrictions on them. The excuse was that there were “promotional items” which is not the case as we purchased them as a gift certificate. As a result we ended up giving the other one away… but it was still frustrating that we were unable to use both. I mean if you go to olive garden or T-bonze or Ruth Chris and have a gift card (or 2) you can use them… Needless to say we won’t be back!!!

After reading other reviews, I understand why we didn't have to wait to be seated: the word is getting out on this over-priced, poorly run restaurant. Although the decor is beautiful, you can't eat your upholstered chair or the chandeliers. Our service was poor. We saw the waiter to order drinks and our meals, but after that he was much more interested in waiting on the huge party seated behind us -- bigger tip, maybe? They definitely got their water glasses filled and their egos stroked with his chatter. We, on the other hand, waited 50 minutes for our entrees. My husband's prime rib was OK, but side dishes were bland and lukewarm. My spinach salad was small -- about half the size that other upscale restaurants offer -- and did not have all the ingredients listed on the menu. For $19.95 (!) they added an undercooked (i.e., pink inside) grilled chicken breast. I ate about 3 bites and was afraid to finish it. We will never go back. We have many friends who would patronize this place, but we intend to warn them off. What a shame: attractive-looking, but lousy service and food.

I have been living in Myrtle Neach for the last year and a half and finally decided to try Norman's becuase of all of the reviews I've read about it. Took my wife and we were seated promptly, but is was earlier around 5:00 PM - hardly anyone in the restraurant. We decided to sit in a booth. Mistake. Whoever designed the booths must be a mindless idiot. I am in no way overweight/fat - but can someone please tell me how you get in and out of the fricking booths? Very uncomfortable. The waiter was a total loser. Not professional at all, and could have cared less that he was supposed to be waiting/serving us. I had to ask him what the specials were - he never even offered to tell us - he just gave us some menus and said he would be back in a minute - never even asked us what we wanted to drink (I remind you the restaurant is basically empty at this point). Finally he comes back - we order a couple of drinks and he takes our order. Food comes out rather quickly and is just OK (the food is not brought out by our waiter but someone else). For the prices paid for the dinner that food should be exceptional. Period. It wasn't - it was just OK. Never saw our waiter again until he brought the check. In the meantime I wanted more water, and the wife wanted another drink during our dinner. This loser is nowhere to be found - had to flag down another waitress to get him to get water, drinks, etc. for us. It appears to me that Norman's is way over hyped. Service sucked BIG TIME and it seeemd like the waiter automatically just expected to get a decent tip because he worked there. I left him a 20% tip, but this guy and this restaurant clearly don't deserve any tips from customers due to their high prices for just average food and lousy services. I would not recommend anyone eating at Norman's just because of their prices and the quality of the food. There are plenty of other resturants in the area that are much better. TRUST ME - I eat dinner out almost every night of the week in Myrtle Beach. If you are going to pay those prices for a dinner your meal and service should be exceptional. It was not.

This was NOT our first visit to the restaurant, but was our last. I don't mind paying above average for quality meat but in this case it was not. When the waiter asked how the steak was I told him I'd had better at the Texas Roadhouse. The meat was over cooked and tasteless. You would think if this is a 'Steakhouse' the meat would be special. The waiter offered no comment and we did not see him again until he brought the bill

FORGET THIS PLACE!! We live in Myrtle Beach, drove our Jet-skis to the Barefoot Dock, to be greeted by the Greg Norman "dock police" and threatened that we had to move the skis unless we were eating at Norman's! Unfortunately, we did and the place is over-priced, has rude staff and looks like it is 100 years old-BUY SOME PAINT! Our waverunners are worth more than the whole place. Anyway, we've dined around the world and this place doesn't even rate talking about! Don't go-save your money, McDonald's is a better bet!! Barefoot should throw them out!

This was our second visit to Greg Norman's Restuarant. We were hoping that things would be better the second time around, but they were not. The service was great. We were seated promptly. Our drink orders were taken and brought within minutes. The drinks were good, but my cosmo was warm, after requesting that it be very cold. The springroll appetizer was good. From there things began going downhill. The frise salad was large, but tasteless. Then came the main course. We ordered steak. Afterall, it is a steakhouse. Big mistake. The steaks were ordered medium. They were very well done, dry and void of flavor. Our second trip to Greg Norman's was a repeat of our first trip. Needless to say, we will not go back.

Normans is a great place to eat, drink, be happy... Every time I and friends go we get wonderfull service from Jayson, or Bob at the bar... everyone is attentive to my needs, and the food is always hot, and very tasty...MMM... Management does a wonderful job there, we can tell from our visits there... I consider the prices to be more than fair, and have never suffered from sticker shock... Rednecks be warned though, they do not have Sweet Tea!!! luckly I drink wine with my food... They have a great selection of wine as well... All in all I would recomend this place to anyone(except sweet tea finatics) Love eating at Normans...

We chose to eat at Greg Normans because it was listed in the top 5 for the year by locals. Our mistake! We were seated right away but it was 9:30 when we got there, not a busy time. We asked to eat outside as it had cooled down. Our table still had crumbs left from the last dinner. The hostess just brushed them away quickly as we were being seated. She didn't get them all! It was so dark out there we couldn't even read the menu. The prices were very expensive, with only two choices for seafood. Beach restaurant with no seafood? We ordered quickly but while we were waiting no bread or offer for an appetizer. The food came rather quickly but we couldn't believe how little was on our plate. My entree was $35.00 with a piece of fish smaller than my fist, crab crumbled on top all seated on about 5 sprigs of asparagus. That was it! No salad, no bread, no other vegetables! The dish was very good though, just not enough of it! We were not offered any dessert. We wouldn't have gotten any. Could have gotten a gallon of gourmet ice cream for what they would probably charge! Go there again? NO WAY!!

I've eaten In several countries, & owned several restaurants in my 51 years. This place is the worst. From the cold apps. to the $7.00 cup of cold soup served with a teaspoon. What a joke! prime rib (cold), too tough to chew and swallow. The list goes on... 30 min after dinner my 15 year od daughter getting sick in the parking lot while shopping. This really pissed me off. I knew it was from the cold grease laden calmari cuz I felt it too.But I had to be strong, I'm the dad. After sevral calls to speak to the manager I did get a response, "after looking at your check I noticed you tipped your server well above the 20% standard, so you must have enjoyed it" THE WORST EVER HAD BY FAR!

We went one time and will not return. The food was very good with a nice quite atmosphere looking at the innercoastal waterway. We both ordered fish from the wood fired grill. The fish tased very good but we both had killer heartburn that night! Try something not wood grilled may be the answer. Don't forget to try the beer from Australia. The price was very high for the meal. Expensive heartburn!

Beautiful establishment! By far, the best decorated rest. in town. Great waterway view. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Amazing for MB as we had 7:30 reservations. Most fine restaraunts that take reservations still have a wait to get seated, but not here! The head host, I believe his name was Johnathon, was really on the ball. He took our res on the phone, gave us great directions, made us feel welcome when we arrived and gave us a awesome seat next to the window. Great start! Server came immediately and took drink orders. 10 min later, we got our drinks. Ordered calamari, 20 min later ate the squid. Best calamari in the Southeast. An hour after we ordered our entrees, the food came out. My husband's steak was undercooked and my lamb was cold. Our server became Mr. Hyde throughout the course of dinner, so we were actually afraid to complain. Whoa scary. Paid and left. Told host on the way out about experience and he was once again the only professional there it seemed. Would definately eat there again if they cloned him!

4 shrimp for that price was totally outrageous. Rubbery at that! Server was too busy with other things....with what we don't know. Oh yeah...she still gets her 20% no matter what. Only came around with our first drink order and took our food order and didn't come back in between to see if we needed a refill before our dinner came......1 hour after ordering. Overheard the people at the next table complain about their food. Won't be back to Norman's.

My husband & I have a beach house in Ocean Drive and have eaten at Greg Normans several times thinking it would get better with each visit but it did not. Every time we have to send our food back due to the fact that when it comes to the table, it is not hot! The last time we were there (which will be our last time), my husband ordered a steak which was so tough you could not even chew it. He did send it back and got instead a prime rib which was okay. I think most of the food is very poor quality and all the vegetables are frozen and taste rubbery. I would never recommend this restaurant to any friends. The only "nice" thing about the restaurant is the view of the water if you can get outside seating!

The food is terrible....very "chain-like". I got fish and veggies and the veggies tasted like they were frozen store-bought bag of mixed veggies. The stuffed fish also tasted "premade". Do not waste your money as it is very expensive. You are paying for the atmosphere only. : (

We ate there on our last night of vacation. We did know it was expensive, so we thought the service would (should) be on par with the price. Wrong! while the resturant is beautiful, nice setting (we sat on the patio), the food is decent,...but the service was awful! the hostess just pointed to a table...the server came after a good 15 minutes of us sitting down. Acted like she was bored and wanted to be somewhere else. After our food came...which took way too long, she never returned to ask if everything was ok, or if we needed anything else...like refills on our drinks. For such a classy place, we really expected to get more attention. And the resturant was not crowded at all...lots of empty tables...but plenty of servers, so it wasn't like she was busy. I heard another party at a table close to us complain as well. (they had the same server) we might go back...but only for drinks at the bar or on the patio. Dinner elsewhere!.

First I'd like to comment on other reviewers complaints about a 20% gratuity: "Get out often?" I've made about 6 trips a year to NMB for the past 5 years and bring guests frequently. My guests always like Greg Norman's best of all the places we go. The Strand is not the home to Great Steaks, like KC or Chicago, but Norman's are good. They have a decent wine list, service has almost always been good, and it has great atmosphere. And it's not as touristy as we thought it would be-the emphasis is on dining, not Greg Norman. I'll continue to go back. If you are a cut offs and flip flops kind of person, which is OK, this may not be your place, go to Bimini or Rockefellers. If you want a nicer dining experience, try Greg Norman's.

I am a local and have eaten at Greg Norman's a number of times and was always satisfied. Took my family there for Easter. Restaurant was not crowded but it took 50 minutes from the time our order was placed until the time it was served. For Easter they had only sandwiches for the adults but offered "prime rib and mashed potatoes" on the children's menu. Not wanting a sandwich I asked if I could order it. Yes but they were out of mashed potatoes; would sub mixed veggies. OK. Heard another waitress say they had she crab soup as a special. When we tried to order it we were told they were out. Ordered the prime rib medium. It was served extremely well done, on a thick hamburger bun with a slice of tomatoe and a dill pickle. My son ordered the lobster BLT. The lobster was inedible. Meal was sent back; manager never came to our table. When the check came we were charged for it. We refused to pay especially since a manager never tried to solve the problem. Waitress said there was no point to a manager coming as there was nothing to be done. I tried contacting the restaurant through their website but have not had the courtesy of a reply. Will not go there again and will be sure everyone knows of our bad experience. As someone said, "it was just like the way Greg played in the Masters - too slow and not enough." Considering the economy and the number of fine restaurants that offer fine dining in Myrtle Beach, stay away from Greg Norman's!

Just like everything else at BareFoot landing, Greg Normans was bad. The place itself is really nice looking with the view of the inter coastal waterway but that is where the good stopped. Like many reviewers on this website my girlfriend and I used the 50% off coupon. Again it seems like a great deal and hey even if the food is ok or bad its like half off. Well here comes the trick they charge you 20% tip no matter how good your server is. Le Grands does the same thing as well. So the server knows no matter what he does he gets his money. Our server was awful. All i ask is to have knowledge about the menu and re fill the drinks its really not a lot. However it seemed very hard for him to do this. The food itself was of low quality the steak was something i could buy at dennys or a low grade place. the mashed potatoes were cold as well.

Don't go here just because you have a coupon for buy one dinner get one free. By the time they add 20% onto your total bill (regardless of service), you pay almost full price anyway. Pricey. Food and atmosphere were ok, but certainly not worth the price. We thought Thoroughbreds was a much better atmosphere and better value.

Outrageous Quality at Captilist Prices. This is an inappropriate priced Restaurant and should be investigated for fraud. Those that qualify this as classy and complain about us that complain about price, deserve to be ripped off by this place. However the elite class of us that pay attention to detail and price are not going to sit by and let a name in Golf try to rip us off. DO NOT GIVE THIS RESTAURANT YOUR MONEY. Go to BARON STEAK HOUSE in North Myrtle Beach. They have Class, Quality, and Fair Pricing. Steaks far exceed this Restaurant.

I have been in enjoy class, first class service with top quality food. Unfortunately this Restaurants is far from meeting quality food for the price paid. I would pay any decent price for what you get. You pay Cadilac Prices for Volkswagon quality. Plus the prices being Ala Carte for most isn't well proportioned for the prices. If I were Greg Norman, I would be embarassed to stamp my name on this place.

We took a shot at getting in at Greg Norman's withoutout a reservation and wound up dining at the bar which was nice as it overlooks the marina. Everone enjoyed their meal, the bartender was excellent, and because there was a delay in getting our meals, we got a huge free bowl of calamari rings which were excellent. You have to remeber that in MB you get what you pay for.

Went in for a meal on a date. I was nicely dressed as was my ladyfriend. My date ordered a med well steak (i for the record think this is is un acceptable), mine was ordered mr I knew it would get cooked at thesame time as her burnt piece and set in the window and get cooked up waiting on hers so asked to start her steak first then begin mine when hers was almost done bc I would rather have a steak too rare than done. Of course my steak as overdone just as I expected andmy server treated me like I was an idiot and gave much more attentive service to the older couples and groups around me. Too bad for him though bc im a local bartender and make a good living and tip 30 to 50 % when I get good service. Only go there if you are a fool and want to be seperated from your money while being treated like you r below your server in the social order of things..

Greg Normans is by far my favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach, I go at least once every time I visit and will continue to do so for a long time. The food and service have always been excellent and I have never been disappointed in anything. This is a restaurant for sophisticated, classy people that enjoy fine dining with more of a casual, "beachy" atmosphere, not those that frequent restaurants such as Chili's and expect to be in and out in 30 minutes. Also, it helps to read the menu, which will most likely tell you if you are getting 4 shrimp instead of several.

I have been a fan of Greg Normans for a number of years spending New Years Eve, birthdays and our anniversary at the restaurant however my last two visits have been disappointing. Clearly the place has slipped several notchs as many of the previous reviews suggest. The high-lights are still the great location on the waterway, the very nice space and a very good wine list (with good prices). We found the service still good but the point of eating in a restaurant is the quality of the food and this is where they are falling back. Last trip required two meals (of six) to be returned as a\one steak was way overcooked and a second meal was beyond cold; the other four steaks were okay but that was it. My guess is the steaks were a lower grade (than previous trips) that explained the tougher "chew" they had. A previous trip had a similair experiance with both steaks being just average at best. We will go back as there is much to like about Greg Normans but you guys need to get back to where you were as these negative reviews are becomming to common for you not to see a trend.

This is probably the WORST meal I have ever had in Myrtle Beach! Way overpriced and the steak was so full of fat it was inedible. I tried the Ostrich - nothing outstanding at all. We were with a group of 6 and had the 1/2 off coupon, which was a joke in itself. I guess they figured they would serve 1/2 off of everything. Our waiter was gracious, however, the hostess was really rude. After our meal, we had drinks and desserts and she obviously was waiting to leave. Instead of saying something to us, she made a point of blowing past us as she exited the restaurant while we were standing out front. She then got into her white SUV and FLOORED her car out of the parking lot. We will NEVER go back.

My husband the golfer had to check out Norman's place. As we walked in noted the beautiful decor. It was a day off for us- dressed golf casual, we were taken straight out back by a snotty hostess. Loved the view of the waterway though, so i left it alone. Took 20 min. to have our drink order taken then another almost 20 to get them. The shrimp apps. was laughable. We always split apps. while deciding on dinner. There is no splitting 4 shrimp($12) between 2 adults. Very disappointed. as someone else put it, all flash, no substance-- where has customer service gone??????

Greg Norman's is by far the best restaurant in all of Myrtle Beach! When I dine during the summer, we always sit on the deck. The atmosphere is unbelievable while listening to the live music makes you feel like you're in the tropics. I have been going to Greg's often for the past 3 years, and have had nothing but impecable service. Amber at the bar is a pretty young girl, and will chat your ear off till you pay the bill; which is kind of nice since im an older man. All of the servers say hello everytime they see me, and always ask how I am. Including John, Josh, Jeff the Chef, and that funny looking guy Sy. I love them all, and I WILL GO BACK. Some of these reviews I have been reading are upsetting in the fact that these people do not understand they are not at Johnny Rockets where THEY make smiley faces with ketchup bottles. This restaurant is a fine establishment that serves good food, at a decent price. MABYE SOME OF THESE PEOPLE THAT ARE SO UPSET WITH GREG'S SHOULD GO TO JOHNNY ROCKETS SO THEY CAN CHEER THEM UP WITH THERE OLDIES DANCING ON THE TABLES, HAHA HOW SANITARY IS THAT , YET EVERYONE LOVES IT...

Lamb chops.then the manager came back with the same Lamb chops that were chewy and clearly Microwaved the manager came out asked her to cut into them they were warm but still chewy at this point my wife and I disceatly expressed that they were still cold the Manager just walked off so my wife did not take another bite the server told us that she would give us some drinks on the house, for our troubles, after having a few already we at this point did not so we could get home safley. We requested our check and they did not even discount our bill.At that point I asked the waitress to ask her mgr if she thought our bill was fair,She came back with a 10% discount {Slap in my face} I was embaressed in front off my wife and I will never eat At that place Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!Dont waist your time either

We had a group in town for a meeting and had been told this was a good place to eat. Never take the word of a stranger. I ordered the cowboy steak as did the gentleman sitting across from me. When the food arrive, his was served first, it was a good size piece of meat and my mouth began to water...then mine was served. It was half the thickness of what I expected and overcooked. I pointed out the discrepancy between mine and my friends and the fact is was "well-done". The waiter made some snide remark and I went in search of the manager. he did offer to have another steak prepared but the second one was smaller than he first and this time burned on the outside and very rare in the middle. I guess they rushed to get it back out. meanwhile another companion ordered the Rib-eye. Now rib-eye's do have some fat to them but hers was all fat. She sent it back and was rewarded with one equally as bad. Needless to say, we told them to take both steaks off the bill and went in search of a fast food joint. If Greg Norman ever ate there, he would take his name off of the building.

Great atmosphere and service, but the food is poor quality, poorly prepared, and expensive. I would not return or recommend. For a family of five, three of our dishes were prepared incorrectly. I had a ribeye that was almost entirely fat. My daughter had a children's hamburger that was nearly raw. The service was very accommodating and noticed the poorly prepared burger and adjusted the bill.

In a word Pretentious, and not in a good way. This restaurant has all the ingredients to be great. Interesting food choices, nice flavours and the room is beautiful. The servers are pretty usless, except for one or 2. 2 out of 3 of our entrees were over cooked (and not just a little). The sides that were served with my pork chops were flavourful and interesting, but didn't make up for the tough overcooked meat. We were not offered refills on water or drinks, were not offered dessert or coffee. When our drinks came, the waiter brought 2 out on his hand (no tray) and when he realized his hand was wet, flicked it off on the floor. A busboy came by with an armload of dishes under his arm and reached across to grab plates from our table, very bad form. This place needs to train its staff properly, in fine dining and teach the grill chef what medium rare vs. rare is and they could be a really great place. And one last thing... To put on the menu that there is a $10 charge to split and entree is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in a long time.

The ambiance is nice as well as the location but as other reviews have said- you can definately get better food on the beach. I don't mind paying higher prices but not if I can't even eat my food because it's so salty and dry.

On Feb.7, 2008 we visited this restaurant........party of 6. We were seated promptly, dressed casually, had perfect seats, and a warm welcome. We had a very attentve waitress and probably one of the best meals of our life, in fact, we asked to speak to the chef to tell him how delighted with our meals..

The presentation was beyond our expectatons.........gorgeous....... the food outstanding and tons for our money..

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone........... we think it's the best restaurant in the MB area..........you won't be disappointed.

I ate in the bar. Not a great atmosphere. Can't clearly see any of the many televisions as they are all blocked by various things hanging from overhead. The food was barely passable and way overpriced. I had dinner for one with a coffee and two glasses of wine. Grand total $51.00 I have spent more for better meals and service and have spent less, but this experience was not money well spent.

Very Nice choice in dining. We were in Myrtle Beach for our Anniversary and this was an excellent choice. Reminded me of "The Cheesecake Factory" though. My husband had the thickest Sirloin Steak that I'd ever seen and he loved it! I had Veil Parmesan - EXCELLENT!!

We've spent the last few years coming to Myrtle Beach for our vacation and a trip to Greg Normans is always included. I read some of the reviews here and was surprised. We have always had nothing but fantastic food and service in this restaurant. The prices are higher granted, but coming here is a treat once a year for us so it isn't a big deal. The fact too that i feel the quality of the food is top notch. My husband had the best steak he had ever eaten there the other nite, and couldn't finish his meal, he was so full. We fully intend to return in our trips to MB.

This was our third annual trip to Greg Norman's. In the past, it has been excellent. This time, it was a whole different experience. We were the first table seated in the place, but the service was pathetic. We weren't asked if we wanted more drinks, the water guy walked by our table, looked at our empty glasses and walked off... 6 times! We put them on the edge of the table, still no water.

Finally, the waitress returned, and we requested water. In the meantime, my $28 steak was 80% fat. I had about 2 ounces of meat between the lines of fat.

I spoke to the manager, who offered to take care of us if we returned. Um, no thanks! It wasn't worth the stress, the food was mediocre. There are way too many restaurants in MB for me to go back there.

Nothing to write home about! The food (steaks) were good, but not anywhere worth the price we paid. You pay for the name, but quite frankly an Outback rib eye is a better steak, and especially for the money. If price doesn't matter, try it.........

OK - so it is Greg Norman's, although I doubt if he ever ate here! I am used to high quality Maryland/DC/Northern Virginia restaurants, so this was a disappointment. Six of us went to dinner right after golf, and we were snubbed by the hostess for five minutes because we were in our golf clothes. If we had known, we all had jackets back at our condo, and could have worn them after cleaning up. Our waiter took our drink order, and for fun, I timed the length of time before we got our drinks. It was not too busy, but it took 15 minutes before our drinks arrived, and two of them were the wrong drinks! One of my friends ordered a steak rare, and it came very well done. After three tries, he finally got his steak right. It took 25 minutes before we got our check, and another ten minutes before it came back to the table. The food was above average but a little pricey. I doubt if we will ever return - there all other very good places in NMB and MB to eat.

I have had better food for half the price. I thought my husband would like this place but I think he was still hungry after we left. Such a shame considering the cost. We were seated on the patio and like someone else said,it was probably because we had on shorts and tees since we were on vacation. But they sure did take my money the same way that they would have if I had been dressed to the nines. We will not be visiting again. The one good thing was our server. He did an excellent job. Wish I could remember his name.

Food was good but nothing to write home about. Went at 11AM so it wasn't busy. Sat on patio, enjoyed watching boats go by. Staff was friendly and attentive, even though we had vacation clothes on. This was the first place we ate at after arriving in MB. Was shocked at the prices but found that MB restaurants are grossly overpriced overall which will dissuade us from a return visit. We don't mind paying higher prices for higher quality, but in MB we found 5 star prices for 2 star quality. We've paid similar prices at St Moritz, Switzerland for much better food. Won't return to MB. Too many nicer places to visit without being robbed.

11/21/06 Visted your restaurant for about the 7th time since living in Myrtle Beach. Food was usually okay but expensive. The food servers know they will get their tips from those people who take advantage of your buy one get one free coupon which we had never used before. The waitress never came back to see how things were until our meal was finished, why should she, she knows she is getting a 20% tip no matter what she does or doesn't do. I got the Prime Rib that was salted to the point that I could not eat it & my husband got a steak that was so dry he almost choked on it. Very, very dissapointed. There are too many good restaurants in Myrtle Beach, can't understand why your menu is so limited and 95% of your choices are put over a fire pit. Is it because it looks impressive, but the results are poor.

We had a wonderful meal here! Try the Grilled Rib Eye with madera sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. We also loved the Creme Brulee dessert. All the salad choices are excellent. Call ahead for a reservation and you never have to wait. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. It's a bit noisey but not noisey enough for us to hold a conversation with our friends. Restaurant is cozy and romantic. We will be back.

Overall this restaurant is a waste of money that could have been spent better somewhere else. The steak that was ordered "very well done" came back medium well at best. Plus there are roach motels in the (booth)seat cushion that our child reached down and grabbed. Not very classy for a supposedly top notch restaurant. Save your time and money and use it somewhere else.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times and just can not believe how bad the service is. I actually think that this is the worst restaurant I have been to in all of Myrtle Beach. The servers always ignore us and they are extremely rude. I have had better service at Dick's Last Resort! If you want good service and great food go to Martini's or Thouroghbreds.

To be the only two people seated, the service was below average - the waitress was really busy having her lunch. When the food arrived, we knew we would not be coming back....dull...!!!! NO taste.....! Maybe if we had been seated in the 'regular' dining area the service and food would have been better but when we asked for smoking accomodation, we were left on our own to find the bar, with no menu, and totally ignored for some time. We passed thru the parking lot after an Alabama show last night and the lot was full so maybe we should have tried dinner...not!!! We won't be going back any time soon!!

I have eaten at Normans 6 or 7 times over the years during my golf trips. It can be hit or miss. On two of the trips I've enjoyed what I would consider to be the best steak I've had in my life. Earlier this year both my steak and my friends steak (NY strip) had quite a bit of gristle. For the price, you would expect more consistent quality.

We have been dining there since the resturant opened. The service is always fantistic. Some of the waitstaff have been there for years, for me always a good sign. Often during a 2 week stay we will pop in for dinner 3 to 5 times. There calamari and sauce is the best I have ever had. My husband ofter enjoys the different fish dishes while I usually have the steak au poivre, you can't go wrong with the spinach salad. If you are there for lunch try the Fish and Chips.. The bar has good drinks and the staff is friendly. Jonathan at the front desk is great and our favorite waiter is Jess.

Go somewhere else!!

It was our last night in Myrtle Beach, so my wife and I decided to go a little more upscale for dinner. It turns out we would've been better off at McDonalds. We were insulted by the entertainment and we were both sick late that night and felt miserable the next day.

The night started off perfectly. We were even given a table outside even though I forgot to request that with my reservations - with no wait. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. However, we were both sick that night, probably from the tuna we had to start.

The worst part was being insulted by the entertainment. It was 10:30 PM and my wife and I had enjoyed the music this guitarist was playing during dinner so much that we decided to stick around and move up closer to the stage. We were sitting for no longer than 2 minutes at the table before the guy stopped in the middle of the song to ask my wife and I if we wanted him to play something special. I said "sure why not, how about something so that my wife and I can dance." His response was that we had been so "disrespectful" that we would just have to wait a while before he would entertain. Ya, I know - totally out of the blue. I was so ticked off that this hack went out of his way to speak down to us, that my wife had to drag me out of there before I let my temper get the best of me. It didn't end there though...as we walked out he finished his song and made another comment.

Avoid the fish and the unprofessional entertainment.
