What can I say that hasn't already been said about this place? Food and service is the best. Don't be alarmed if there is a large crowd waiting, they turn tables fast.
They have one person bus the table, another to clean it, and another to reset it, all in less than 1 minute. Best breakfast available in North Myrtle. ref: 26578

I just love Golden Griddle! I have been going here since I was 2-3 years old and wow. Every morning we get up i go to my dad and ask can we please go to golden griddle!? Especially on my birthday we always go there! The food is absolutely amazing and the service is outstanding they have the same waitresses their every year i come and it's so great seeing some remembered faces. Talk about southern hospitality! I had combo platter with scrambled eggs, two slices of bacon and three generously sized pancakes. I also got a side of corned beef hash. Golden Griddle has the best corned beef hash. This is a great breakfast place. If you go a bit later in the morning there is a wait, and they don't have an adequate waiting area so it gets a bit stacked up in the foyer and outside the door. The wait is not too long - maybe 10 to 15 minutes - and the food is well worth it. Great waffles, pancakes, sausage--everything is to perfection. Check out the daily specials!! This was, BY FAR, the bet place I have ever had breakfast. We ate here 3 times while on our 5 day vacation and it was absolutely to die for. Their waffles and pancakes are so fluffy and huge, fresh fruit and the best coffee I've ever had (they make it fresh and ground the coffee then and there). No matter what we will always stop back here to eat when we are on vacation in MB. I SO wish we had one in Ohio! ref: 25191

I can't disagree with the positive reviews. My wife and I ate breakfast there in March and haven't yet found a restaurant that is a better option for breakfast. You might have to wait a bit because of the popularity of the restaurant which is the only reason we've tried other places. Other than that, it's the best breakfast in the area. ref: 24902

Hands down, this is the BEST place on the beach for breakfast. It has become a family tradition that we all look forward to. If there is a special way you like your food cooked (crispy hashbrowns, limp bacon, dry toast, etc) just be sure to let the waitress know and they will make it happen! Love it!! ref: 24581

The reviews are correct. The food was so good, especially the sausage patties which I ordered 2 more helpings of, LoL. Everything was fresh tasting, had a very homey feel to the food and the place. Corn beef hash had that crisp crust on it, like hash should be. Waffles are excellent, listen eveyrthing was just good. My husband and I have been going to the Golden Griddle for almost 20 years. The food is awesome every time we are there. The best blueberry pancakes with real hot syrup. I will not miss a chance to eat breakfast there. Will not consider going any place else. The owners and staff treat us like family! We have lived in Myrtle Beach for a couple of years but had never been to the Golden Griddle. When the parents came to town I decided to research breakfast restaurants for us to try. I had always been slightly disapointed with the breakfast places close by. In searching for places in North Myrtle I stumbled across all these great reviews for the Golden Griddle. It is worth the drive! We went twice during their stay in April and went again last week. The pancakes are melt-in-your-mouth, the best I have ever tasted. Everything tastes like it is made from scratch. The hash browns are real potatoes with no additives holding them together, not processed shreds or pressed patties. Service is very fast, friendly, and the food arives piping hot. Very affordable too. We have been around 11:00 AM each time and there is no wait to be seated. This was our first breakfast stop for the week....and our worst! The waiters were hanging around as if they were ready to go. and our waitress hardly checked on us. The food was of poor quality as well. Also the kitchen smelled horrible which was conviently placed right next to the bathrooms....I would not recommend this place to anyone! ref: 22646

My wife and I have been going to the Griddle for 12 years now. There's no place on the beach that serves a better breakfast. The staff is friendly and if there is a wait, it won't take long. I think they have the best food. All the locals' I have met feel the same way about Golden Griddle. It's the best! It's always hot and prepared just right. I get my eggs soft scrambled, and they are always perfect. I can't even describe how good I think their hash browns taste. I wish they were open later hours so I could go more often to eat there. We have been going to the Golden Griddle for about for about 30 years now. It is our most favorite place to eat breakfast at Myrtle Beach. The pancakes are out of this world and the waffles too. Especially love the strawberry waffle with whipcream and whipped butter. We get upset when we go in the winter and they are closed....:-(

This place is great. I'm a breakfast junkie. Coffee was good... I loved the pancakes! Eggs omelet with sausage and cheese was great, This joint lacked that brand new car feel. But it was good 'ol home cookin that makes this a definite return to establishment. Come early or wait long lines. they seem to handle the load for a small place though, it has two parking lots and good food, locals and tourists both enjoy the Golden Griddle Pancake House. ref: 20616

I rated the atmosphere and length of time to be seated as average. The Gold Griddle is your typical pancake diner. If you do not get there early or late, you will wait. But they typically move everyone through at a good pace. Fantastic, light pancakes with warm syrup. And the coffee is to die for! We went later in the morning, and there was no wait to be seated. The service was quite good. The waitress was attentive and helpful, as were other members of the staff, and when there was a minor mistake in my order, she had it corrected in a couple minutes. The restaurant facilities were rather typical for a diner. The building was clean and in good repair, but the secondary parking might be hard on the shoes if the weather is wet. The food was well prepared and tasteful, but it would be a stretch to classify it as extraordinary. I believe that so far as value is concerned, especially in a vacation spot, the restaurant rates as good to very good. ref: 18366

This place NEVER fails to please!! Servers are SOOoooooo delightful, professional and caring that you might think they OD on happy pills each morning. We had the added treat (after waiting for about 20 mins for a table) of having a visiting barbershop group perform a capella in the middle of the place - brought the house down (2/7/10)!! We own a condo nearby and with each visit to North Myrtle Beach we look forward to breakfast daily at the Golden Griddle. Everyone is so friendly. It's the best way to start your day! We stopped in here for breakfast last year. We got there around 9:30 on the weekend. We had to wait about 20 minutes but it was worth it. Very good breakfast. Excellent service. The waitresses were so friendly. Very family style and very family atmosphere. We're planning a trip to Cherry Grove next week and I said to my husband we have to go back to that place. What was the name of it? He couldn't remember either. I figured we'd just look around on the main street for the place with the yellow sign. Upon doing some research for our trip I happened on this website and there is a photo of the place with the yellow sign. We can't wait to go back. My family and I just came back from our trip to Myrtle Beach. On our last morning of our trip my son said he wanted to go to the pancake house for breakfast. We waited for about 20 mins which was great considering that the restaurant was packed. My 2 sons both ordered the original pancakes and I ordered the bluberry pancakes. My one son couldnt even finish the pancakes because they gave him so much. It was a great deal for the money. Our whole family loved them and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. It has become a family tradition for us to eat at Golden Griddle on the morning we return home to Kentucky. We have never had a bad experience here. People can be lined up to the parking lot and the wait is never more than 20 minutes. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like family. Having a delicious, warm breakfast before heading home always makes the long trip more bearable. The omelets are outstanding as well as the variety of pancakes. We have been up and down 17 from Little River to Georgetown and have yet to find a better place for breakfast! We will wait in line just to be able to have a seat so we can have breakfast or lunch. It is now 2/25 and we will be going to Charleston for wife's eye surgery in March and will make side trip southbound for SOLE reason of having breakfast at GG on Monday March 3rd!! We tried it for the first time on Oct.22 mainly because we had a 15% discount ticket. We were back the next day to pay full price for an exceptional experience - dining in a clean, homey environment serving OUTSTANDING pancakes by courteous, competent long-time staff. The cashier remembered us from the day before (mainly because [1] I had gotten a speck of syrup on my sweater and she was happy to note that it was now gone, or [2] I'm told I am a George Clooney clone, or [3} whatever....). We live in Cary, NC but are now taking 2-3 day R&R breaks monthly or thereabouts by driving to No. Myrtle or Myrtle Beach(es). We go again for three days on 12/16 and plan on having breakfast at lhe GG at least two of those days. Just a wonderful way and a place to enjoy starting ones day. We very much enjoyed our breakfast this morning - the nonsmoking admosphere is a real plus! Coffee, pancakes, hash browns and omletts were delicious. We will be back several times before the end of our vacation. ref: 9020

It's October, and most of the places to dine are putting on their "off-season" attitudes. During the summer months, this restaurant has them lined up down Main Street in North Myrtle Beach, and it's totally understandable! No one seems to mind the wait, because the service and food are worth it! No matter what time of year it is or if they're busy or not, Golden Griddle is the best example of how a restaurant should be run!! I happened to be alone on this visit, and was greeted immediately, seated and served piping-hot food (cooked perfectly, just as I ordered) within 5 minutes of placing the order! Margaret was my waitress, and she was delightful! Later that same day, I was joined by a friend (we're from Atlanta), and we'll be having breakfast here every morning for the next few days! There are many Atlanta restaurants that could take lessons from this wonderful place and the people who run it! Great service, great food, reasonable prices - can't beat it, no matter where you are!! ref: 8893

PLEASE do not let the crowd of people outside waiting for a table convince you to go somewhere else...it does not matter how many are waiting..YOU will NOT wait long! And even if you had to it would be worth it! My family are locals and this is where we go every weekend. The food tastes like your grandmother made it just for you...the waitresses are always on top of it and nice...and even though every table is taken because it's sooooo good..you can still hear the great oldies and beach music that is set at the perfect volume. It makes my weekends even better. Best blueberry pancakes ever!! ref: 8633

At the end of our vacation in North Myrtle Beach we stopped for breakfast at the most adorable little pancake house. It was about 9:15 on a Sunday morning and although the restaurant seemed fairly crowed from the parking lot, my family and I were still greeted immediately and seated in less then 5 minutes. Our server identified herself as Amy Quilen. She did the most outstanding job as our server, my entire family ordered the blueberry pancakes, following her recommendation. She said that’s all she ever orders and gave us her personal guarantee that we would be satisfied. The order was delivered in less then 10 minutes with extra portions of piping hot syrup. The pancakes were amazing, Large thick blueberries combined with the batter of every bite. Amy my dear your right they were incredible. However, the pancakes were only part of the reason why I considered this restaurant a must visit attraction of any trip to Myrtle Beach. The friendliness and knowledge of our server Amy Q was what all other servers everywhere should strive to learn from. A carafe of coffee was left at our table & even though she was busy, Amy still made sure we were taken care of personally. We were pleasantly surprised how affordable the meal was and as we were leaving Amy wished us a safe journey home to VA. I am someone who went to Johnson & Whales Culinary Art School and have worked in restaurants for the last 3 years in VA. So, I hope my credentials give my recommendations more weight. I wish we had stopped for breakfast sooner in our trip because I would have enjoyed trying many of the other wonderful items as well as seeing the beautiful Amy Q again. ref: 7879

Been going there every year since I was a child and I am now 19. However last 3 years I have been there, we had a waitress with a HORRIBLE attitude. Food is the only breakfast food I'll eat almost. Its wonderful. Waitresses need to be nicer though. ref: 7700

We have been going to this place for years and never miss dining there at least once. This place has better coffee than Starbucks and is the main reason I go there. The kids love their pancakes and french toast, but the coffee.....what else can you say except heaven in a cup! ref: 7641

Great place to eat breakfast in North Myrtle Beach! They recently went totally non-smoking and we think that is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!! It's such a relief to find a place that does not smell like an ashtray when you are trying to eat. The food is excellent and with the oldies music playing in the background, it was a great atmosphere to wake up and eat a delicious breakfast. We heartily recommend this place! ref: 6919

I have being going to the Golden Griddle since I was a child. I love this place. I even took my friend who was vacationing with us . Absolutely the best breakfast we had in the Myrtle Beach area. The food and service were great and the prices were very reasonable.I ate homemade buttermilk pancakes(the best I have ever eaten) topped with hot maple syrup. My wife had a strawberry Belgian waffle, and my son ate French Toast made with thick Texas toast.We were also pleased with the fresh ground coffee and the fact that the restaurant is totally non smoking. ref: 2399

We have eaten breakfast all over in the Myrtle Beach area but now that we found the Golden Griddle we will eat nowhere else. Great food, great service, clean, and reasonable prices.There is no reason to look any further.The homemade pancakes and fresh ground coffee can not be beat. ref: 151
