Review: This restaurant has closed. In its place is a new Beef O'Bradys. Haven't eaten there yet, but the one in Georgetown is a nice sports bar with good food for the $$$s! I like the concept.

Review: Husband and I have been going to this restaurant for a couple of years now. Just going over reviews. What? Are you sure you have the right place? Never had a bad meal there. Food is great. Service other than a very recent change in servers that need time to adjust, was outstanding. One of the reasons we went back time and time again was because the server we had-she always gave us superb service, friendly, and attentive. Maybe you were expecting the ritz...its a great around the corner dinner place to go. If you need the Carlton-go to the Carlton!

Review: We were there about a month ago, service was great, friendly
faces and the food was excellent. Obviously they must have
found a great chef since the last reviews or maybe the people
just had their own problems before coming to dinner there. We
ordered their clams linguini and it was the best we ever had.
It was served very quickly didn't seem like we had to wait for it.
Next year when we come back we definitely will be back for more
good food. Our advice is forget what you read on these reviews,
you"ll find that the food is excellent.

Review: I was a little bit hesitant to go to this pizza place based on the bad reviews they have received for their service in the past. I ordered the food to go, and was extremely satisfied with the food as well as the service. I will surely recommend this pizza place to all of my friends that frequent the Pawleys Island area. Bravo to Giannottis for getting it together. Keep up the good work and keep serving the excellent pizza.

Review: The service is abysmal. The owners no idea how to interact with customers or staff. The food is ok if you have an hour to spare to wait for it. I'm surprised the owners did not charge for the splenda packet i used! Please avoid this place at all costs.

Review: I went with my family, while on vacaction, to Giannotti's Ristorante, after reading the review in the Lowcountry Companion. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted cheerfully by Taylor. We were made to feel at home and our kids just adored this waitress. The thin-crust pizza was even better than we expected. We are from the Northeast and this pizza is as good, if not better, than any we've had. We ordered a couple of entrees.also. The Chicken Parm was to die for and the Veal Giannotti special was tender and delicious. The owner took the time to come to our table and make sure that everything was okay. We enjoyed the experience. We will definitely return to Giannotti's on our next visit to Pawleys Island.

Review: The food was fabulous. We had a seafood pizza and it was absolutely delicious. We went with another couple, looking to take a couple pizzas back to the house for the kids. They had a meat lovers and said it was wonderful, as well.
The problem was it took us 2 hours to get our pizzas. No exaggeration. The service at this place is the absolute worst. Don't go here expecting to catch a movie later in the evening. The owner who was there said her husband who normally runs the restaurant had been in the hospital, so she was filling-in. She had a couple of her neighbors helping out as servers. Thankfully, if it weren't for the young blonde girl making the pizzas, we'd probably still be there. She was the only one who had a clue in that place.
In the end, although the food was delicious, I wouldn't wait another 2 hours for it again. And it's not like the place was busy. There was one other couple in the restaurant dining with their children, and another lady looking for carryout. It was amusing at first, but after an hour it became infuriating. My suggestion - if an airheaded lady is there serving you, turn and walk out. It's not worth the trouble.

Review: Fine dining with a home sweet home appeal!!!
Upon walking into Giannottis you immediately feel as if you're walking into your Italian mom's kitchen.
The thin crusted pizza is right out of NY...try the clams casino pizza pie.
Their whole wheat pasta is homemade....and the seafood pasta will melt in your mouth.
And the prices are perfect....portions are huge...
Owners Ray and Laura make it a point to make sure all patrons are taken care of and comfortable.
But before leaving....don't forget to taste their delicious homemade desserts....made especially by Laura's mom!!!
A trip to Pawley's Island woudn't be complete without a dinner from this little Italian joint.

Review: I just reciently moved here from New York and heard about Giannottis! I love Italian food and i tried a few other places in the area and just was not pleased. Then i came to giannottis and the food was outstanding! Just like being back home! The pizza was like i was back on 34th street! It was out of this world. The service just needs some help but you have to cut them some slack they are a new restaurant and they need to work out some things i am sure, Ray (owner) comes to every table and welcomes you and makes sure everything is ok and if not he will make it ok! It was outstanding. I wish them the best of luck!

Review: I've eaten at Giannott's on numerous occasions. The food is like Mom used to make; the eggplant is the best I've eaten and the tender veal is like no other I've found in this area. Now, the pizza from their brick oven has a thin delicious crust that will make you want to come back for more. I asked to see the can of tomatoes they use to prepare their sauces from, and they do use exclusively imported Italian tomatoes.
They have even sold me some delicious Italian sausage from N.Y., and their whole wheat fresh linguini to take home to cook in my own kitchen.
The owners are friendly and very accommodating.

Review: One of my worst dining experiences. Gianotti's is a new restaurant, but modest. They seem to be trying to provide neightborhood restaurant dining at fine dining prices.
Salad and italian bread cost extra at this restaurant. The small house salad, which was a small amount of romaine, tomato and olive was completely bland and unimaginative (feta cheese $1.00 extra). Spaghetti with meat sauce consisted of marinara sauce with a few pieces of chopped meatball, not a true meat sauce. Bread was not homemade.
Atmosphere was uninspiring. A ballgame of some sort was on the TV in the bar so you could not hear the equally inappropriate "beach music" playing in the background.
Tables were bare, with no candes, or flowers. Flatware was wrapped in a paper napkins, with a paper band - Fine for a casual neighborhod joint, but not if you are charging $10.95 for a bowl of spaghetti.
The service was the worst though. We had to ask our server for bread and butter plates, water, and parmesan cheese. Whan asked what the house Chianti was, she replied "some kind of red". The final straw was when we asked for our leftovers to go. She brought 2 burger sized containers to the table for us to struggle with ourselves.
The owner did apologize somewhat for the service, saying that he was having trouble finding good waitstaff, but the service is not the only problem here. Don't waste your money.
