Review: Taking a break one hot afternoon last July, our family took a drive on hwy17 to pick a restaurant for dinner later that evening. We stopped in the Gator Hole plaza for some shopping and noticed Geno's pizza.
We love NY style pizza, so we decided to try Geno's. The food was outstanding! Reminded us of our favorite pizza place back home. Geno is a pleasant man, who speaks with an Italian accent, which also reminds me of the wonderful pizza parlours in NY City.
We had two pizzas (one for the kids, and one for us) and my wife and I shared a salad. The "house" italian dressing was excellent. We both had a cold beer with our meals.
There are only 3 or 4 pizza parlours in MB or NMB that we like, and Geno's is one of them.

Review: We just happened to stumble upon Geno’s. What a pleasant surprise. It was truly the best pizza I have had in quite some time and to find it in a strip mall in North Myrtle Beach, what a shocker! Sadly I can’t give the same raves for the subs and entrees. They were nothing special. But if you want pizza in NMB Geno’s is the place

Review: Folks, both transplants from new york metro area,or from the midwest coming down south, ever since this place changed owners in the spring of 2007,do not compare it to its previous owners/management! gino`s experience, dedication, and proud sense for traditional quality usually is not esily found outside of his queens, new york area with its fussy newyorkers as customers>how do I know? I was one of them, with plenty of experience in the same field.gino has respect for what is being served to hia customers, just as much as he respects good food, cleanliness, and good service.now folks, when was the last time you received good food from an experienced and proud person with an eye for quality and tradition?bravo..

Review: The pizza was the best we have ever eaten. We are from NE PA originally and our son-in-law is from NY. We all agree that it was terrific. So much so that normally when we are on vacation, we would have a pizza just once, if at all; but this was so good, we came back another day. We all wish we could find this type of pizza closer to home.

Review: I am still in shock that North Myrtle Beach has such a great hidden treasure. This is a true New York experience. Very fast service and awesome pizza. I am embarrassed to say that my husband and I ate there four times in one week. We just can't get enough.

Review: Originally I'm from Queens, N.Y. and the best pizza in the world was sold right on my corner, Guilia's Pizza, 42nd & Queens Blvd. I would always compare other pizza's with the one from this place. Big huge slices is the way it should be done, not too thin and not too thick with the right sauce and cheese. I know pizza very well cause I used to eat it every other day with Welch's grape soda or Sunkist's orange soda. Geno's here in North Myrtle Beach deserve good credit for the pizza cause u really couldn't ask for any more on it. So I would give them an 9 out of 10 whereas Guila's is rated 10 out of 10. Try it out and you'll love it.

Review: With regard to the poster who ordered a philly sandwich from the New York pizzeria...
I don't order a hamburger at a seafood restaurant, and I don't order a philly steak from a new york pizzeria. That said, Geno's is the one and only place I look forward to eating at (actually take-out) when my family goes to North Myrtle Beach (NMB). We have been to NMB only two years in a row; in '04 I discovered Geno's on a recommendation by one of the condo staff. This pizza is the real deal. I always thought I was a thick pizza fan, but no way. This is thin pizza, but it's not cracker-crust pizza. It's soft, chewy, oozes with cheese and sauce.
I remember the first time I was there, I was standing behind a woman, obviously a tourist like myself, and she is just totally puzzled on what to get on her pizza after looking at all of the offered toppings. Finally she says to the guy at the counter (something like) "you know, you guys should really consider offerering a seafood topping". Dude just smiled and nodded, I could barely hold back my laughter, when she was out of range I walked up to place my order and just chuckled, he knew, too.
If my description doesn't do justice, one more thing to add: When you get your pizza, it's not dressed in some fancy box with Geno's name on it. All it's in a standard white pizza box, with a generic-looking pizza-style guy holding a pizza, with the words (something like) "here's your hot pizza from your favorite pizzeria".
This, my friends, is the real deal. Can't wait to eat Geno's when we arrive 8/11/06, we'll probably order another one by 8/16/06.

Review: Ordered a philly cheese steak from Genos. They delivered fast but their food is very sloppy and didnt look very appetizing. They have a New York attitude but cant back it up. For a good sub try Golbergs on 17 bypass and 33rd.
