Not what it used to be. Waited 45 min on a calzone. Everyone in my family had eaten after 25 min. Overall poor. Not very friendly either.

Sadly, my family has eaten our last pizza and/or sub from this restaurant. The last two experiences we have had ended with inedible meals. 1st incident...they prepared part of the order some time before the rest of the order resulting in food that had been left "waiting". This resulted in a sub that was not only unappealing to the eyes but also to the palette. 2nd incident...repeat of the first occasion only this time they "mixed up" orders, hastily changed order numbers on food pending delivery to the customer and the result was not only an unappetizing sub but an incorrect, cold and basically sub-par quality pizza. I hate this, we've enjoyed eating there for years but recently things have gone down hill in a big big way.

The food was fine and the price was fine, but we will not be back to patronize this local business . Our reason; we purchased our meal with a credit card then a member in our party decided they wanted another slice of pizza. When they went to order they were told no purchases for under $5.00 are charged on credit cards. This is a practice for many businesses, owning a restaurant ourselves we also have a similar rule. We also have waived the rule for a customer under certain circumstances.... This should have been their practice..... We had purchased several dollars with them and because they would not honor and appreciate their customer, they lost 6 customers. There are times when rules have to bend,.... for the sake of good business. At least that's the way it's done in the south.

I am from long island ny and have eaten in many pizza joints in the myrtle beach area and Ginos is the best pizza in town. dont waste your time in the other pizza places because Ginos will be you favorite by far.

I ordered a pizza and canolli for delivery. The pizza I ordered was supposed to be a small half ham & pineapple and half cheese. I got a half pepperoni and ham half cheese instead...defnitely not what I was looking for but after waiting 45 minutes for it to get here, I didn't even call them back because I would have had to wait for them to bring it and we were ready for lunch. The small pizza was HUGE though so that is a good thing and the pizza was ok...I really liked the sauce. Cannoli were not very good...

Last week, we arrived rather late in Myrtle Beach from Ohio. Geno was just about to close, when we arrived. We asked him if he had any pizza left and he so graciously served us up a delicious order, We talked about NYC, where our daughter onced lived. He is such a charming gentleman, as well as a fantastic pizza chef. We felt so welcomed to that beautiful city. Thank you Geno....we'll be back again.

I am sad to say I live 12 hours from the best pizza I have ever had. I want one now! A 16 inch with pepperoni, sausage, and green peppers was an absolute masterpiece of beauty and flavor. This is a must stop for anyone who loves NY style Pizza. Get a canoli, they are unbelievable. The workers are very nice also, I cannot wait to return for next summer's vacation

If your at North Myrtle or even Myrtle and you want the best Pizza south of NY then this is your heaven! I come to N Myrtle every year and this year I decide to pick resturants by the reviews on this site. Found a diamond in the rough here! The whole time I was eating this wonderful pizza I was saying darn this is the greatest pizza since I left NY! The folks next to us had salads and they were impressive to say the least! Don't be turned off by the hole in the wall appearence this place is great! We are staying here for two weeks and we plan on hitting this gem several more times. I rarely take time to review things but wanted to make sure other folks enjoy this place as much as I did!!

Best pizza! We've been to N. Myrtle Beach x 5 summers, and planning another trip in 2 weeks. Can't wait! Geno's is always a definite take out on our trips. Living in New Haven, CT area, we're used to 'Great' pizza, and Geno's is just as good as any I've had. Anyone traveling to N. Myrtle Beach should try out Geno's for great and authentic pizza.

We ordered 3 Large two topping pizzas $62 at 7:25pm and were told they would be ready in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later we were told it would be another 15-30 minutes because they were really busy and were told this would be the best pizza we would ever have. After many complaints we finally received our pizzas at 9:15pm. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! And the pizza was just okay.

Geno's has the best pizza that my family has ever had. The pizza are large and a good price. We vacationed in North Myrtle Beach in June 2010. We ate there 5 times that week. We have never heard of meatballs as a topping. The meatballs were sliced and great. We are going back to North Myrtle Beach in two weeks. We will definitely go to Geno’s.

After being born and raised in New Jersey with great pizza in abundance, I believe our family knows good pizza when we find it. When we first moved to South Carolina we didn't know about Geno's or perhaps they were not here yet. But now that we know - YOU need to know thats Gino's is the best pizza on the beach, and that when pizza night rolls around in our lives - Gino's is where we go. Oh and by the way they do local delivery as well. What could be better than that - Good Pizza and Delivery

I am from new haven ct, wooster st's famous row of pies, and I must say, his pizza is authentic, delicious and addicting! Recently, his daughter opened a 2nd location and its right by my house! My family discovered Geno's when we were on vacation in June 2008. We LOVED it! The best pizza! The large 20" pizza fed our family of 5 - WOW! Our kids have been talking about going back to Geno's for a whole year. Thankfully we will be visiting MB in late July 2009. Geno's is going to be our first dinner this year. Can't wait!

During our June of 09 vacation we decided to try Geno's as I had read multiple great reviews. It was fantastic! The best pizza we have had in a long time! It was a Saturday night and the place was busy. There is very limited seating and its a first come first serve basis when it comes to the tables. The length of wait for our large pepperoni pizza was about 23 minutes but definitely worth it once you took the first bite! We loved it and certainly would love to go back!

I'm just in town for a few days and went because of the good reviews on here and my desire for some good pizza from a non-chain pizza place. I was not disappointed. Geno, the owner, was there and was extremely friendly, my toppings completely covered each of my slices, and they have a nice deal now of 2 slices and a drink for $5. FYI, they are by the Wal-Mart and Home Depot shopping center on 2nd Ave N, not 2nd Ave S as I went to based on GoogleMaps.

I'm originally from northern NJ, and since moving to New England (northern NH) I have hungered and craved real Italian NY pizza ever since. My husband and I are here in Cherry Grove for the winter, and recently stumbled upon Geno's. What a find! We couldn't be more delighted - the pizza is genuine, and the best we've had in many, many years - Hands down. Everyone there is a genuinely nice person - we find everyone down here as friendly as can be, and these folks are, too! Lots of smiling and laughing - Geno's is obviously a local favorite. You can't help but feel good at Geno's. Oh, we also asked about delivery (in reference to someone who commented below and was unhappy about this), and Geno or one of the owners explained that they could deliver as long as there were enough people there on staff. Fair enough. He was honest! We love Geno's, and have been recommending it to everyone!

Just an old southerner. I am not use to rude people. I called the restaurant for a delivery. When the gentleman answered the phone, I asked for that delivery. He asked, where it was to be delivered. I told him, and this location is in their delivery area, and his response to me was, I hope it is a nice order to deliver there. I told him it was the normal order we have gotten in the past. He once again said if it was not a nice order they would not deliver. I told him I could take my business elsewhere, and he told me that would be a good idea. So of course I have for now and for ever!! I have found a great restaurant on Hwy. 9. No they want deliver to Cherry Grove, but wow what a difference. The pizza is much better as well. I strongly suggest trying Chris' Pizza. By the way that order was going to be two large suprem pizza's and a salad.

Wow, Gino's truly is the King of Real New York Pizza! I am originally from Queens, NY and this truly is the best pizza in N. Myrtle Beach. But, it's not just the food that's GREAT, their's GINO. A true piece of Italy transported to the South. He is a master at what he does and should be commended for his great food. Thanks Gino.

We had read the reviews about Geno's and decided to try it since it was highly rated. The food was good but the service was terrible. With 3 small children, it is important to get food in a timely manner. None of our food came out even close together. The kids meals came out first, which I guess is a plus. The appetizer came out 20 minutes later, then pizza 10 minutes after that. My order came out after everyone else was finished and I had to take it out. So much for eating with the family. When I discussed my displeasure with the owner, he said that it was "too bad" and not his fault his people could not do their jobs. We told him that we would not be coming back and he just shrugged his shoulders and shoved the last order at me. There were also several other tables that were experiencing the same thing.

Our family of four had a delicious dinner here at Geno's. Real Brooklyn style Italian food; the pizza was excellent! We especially enjoyed the ricotta/broccoli/garlic pie. Hubby loved the spaghetti & meatballs. Dinner was sooo good, went back for lunch before vaa-cation was over. We enjoy good pizza here in NJ ( Pete & Elda's, and Palermo's); you won't be disappointed at Geno's when in Myrtle Beach.

Taking a break one hot afternoon last July, our family took a drive on hwy17 to pick a restaurant for dinner later that evening. We stopped in the Gator Hole plaza for some shopping and noticed Geno's pizza. We love NY style pizza, so we decided to try Geno's. The food was outstanding! Reminded us of our favorite pizza place back home. Geno is a pleasant man, who speaks with an Italian accent, which also reminds me of the wonderful pizza parlours in NY City.

We had two pizzas (one for the kids, and one for us) and my wife and I shared a salad. The "house" italian dressing was excellent. We both had a cold beer with our meals.

There are only 3 or 4 pizza parlours in MB or NMB that we like, and Geno's is one of them.

Geno's is the real deal - EXCELLENT pizza. The good, old-home family pizzeria style, not like the processed garbage from Domino's and the like. Fresh ingredients, delicious crust, it's just AWESOME. Don't worry about it being in a strip mall. I searched high and low for good pizza in this town (I'm from NY, where we have superb pizza everywhere), and my search is over.

I gave an "average" rating for the atmosphere because it's a pizzeria. What do you expect? It's a nice sit-down place, but as I said, it's a pizzeria. You go for the pizza. I often do see families in there, though I'm a takeout guy. BEST PIZZA IN TOWN. Mark my words.

We live in Little River, just a couple miles North of NMB on hwy17. Moved down from Norhteastern Ohio in March of 2007. We visit Wal Mart a lot since we have four kids and when we saw the sign for Geno's we hoped it was as good as what we were used to back "home".

Well, I would say in the past year we have been there at least once a month. Sometimes twice. Our favorites are the regular pizza with sausage and the white pizza. Oh, my! We actually discovered the white pizza by accident. In Ohio, white pizza has a garlic based sauce with bacon pieces, mozzeralla and banana peppers. NOT the case at Geno's.

Geno's white pizza is a delicious blend of ricotta cheese with whole roasted cloves of garlic, covered in melted globs of mozzerella. My Italian tastebuds are in heaven just thinking of this pizza. In fact, I may have to go order one right now!

I only wish they had where you can order on line, like the "other" pizza places. :)

My fiance, who is originally from Queens, introduced me to this place about a year ago. We both ordered pizza and I have to say that it is the best pizza I have ever had. Since that first visit I crave their food all the time! I have also had their calzones and they are just as excellent as the pizza. I never knew that I even liked NY style pizza until Geno's got a hold of my taste buds! They are the benchmark for all others!

I'm from New York, and I LOVE pizza. If you want great traditional pizza, this place is the ABSOLUTE BEST. This place could be straight out of Queens (as Geno, the owner, himself is), and there is nothing like NYC pizza. Well, this place is IT. I order a pie from here at least once a week, and I couldn't be happier to have found this place.

Word of warning - a large pizza is HUGE. The "small" is a 16", the size of a large at a lot of places. The large is 20", absolutely gigantic.

Who ever said subs are good are wrong, very tasty, is not dry is the best I have ever had. It really does not matter if they looked good to them the taste is what counts, right.service very good. The grey hair man who is one of the owners that was on the register would make you want to eat there, very friendly and made sure everything was right with us. He had a smile for everyone that walked in.and you could tell he was proud of his business and the food he served. Will go back again and again.it is very refreshing to see a place that takes care of their customers instead of treating them like a number like so many places do .

We just happened to stumble upon Geno’s. What a pleasant surprise. It was truly the best pizza I have had in quite some time and to find it in a strip mall in North Myrtle Beach, what a shocker! Sadly I can’t give the same raves for the subs and entrees. They were nothing special. But if you want pizza in NMB Geno’s is the place

Folks, both transplants from new york metro area,or from the midwest coming down south, ever since this place changed owners in the spring of 2007,do not compare it to its previous owners/management! gino`s experience, dedication, and proud sense for traditional quality usually is not esily found outside of his queens, new york area with its fussy newyorkers as customers>how do I know? I was one of them, with plenty of experience in the same field.gino has respect for what is being served to hia customers, just as much as he respects good food, cleanliness, and good service.now folks, when was the last time you received good food from an experienced and proud person with an eye for quality and tradition?bravo..

The pizza was the best we have ever eaten. We are from NE PA originally and our son-in-law is from NY. We all agree that it was terrific. So much so that normally when we are on vacation, we would have a pizza just once, if at all; but this was so good, we came back another day. We all wish we could find this type of pizza closer to home.

Originally I'm from Queens, N.Y. and the best pizza in the world was sold right on my corner, Guilia's Pizza, 42nd & Queens Blvd. I would always compare other pizza's with the one from this place. Big huge slices is the way it should be done, not too thin and not too thick with the right sauce and cheese. I know pizza very well cause I used to eat it every other day with Welch's grape soda or Sunkist's orange soda. Geno's here in North Myrtle Beach deserve good credit for the pizza cause u really couldn't ask for any more on it. So I would give them an 9 out of 10 whereas Guila's is rated 10 out of 10. Try it out and you'll love it.

With regard to the poster who ordered a philly sandwich from the New York pizzeria...

I don't order a hamburger at a seafood restaurant, and I don't order a philly steak from a new york pizzeria. That said, Geno's is the one and only place I look forward to eating at (actually take-out) when my family goes to North Myrtle Beach (NMB). We have been to NMB only two years in a row; in '04 I discovered Geno's on a recommendation by one of the condo staff. This pizza is the real deal. I always thought I was a thick pizza fan, but no way. This is thin pizza, but it's not cracker-crust pizza. It's soft, chewy, oozes with cheese and sauce.

I remember the first time I was there, I was standing behind a woman, obviously a tourist like myself, and she is just totally puzzled on what to get on her pizza after looking at all of the offered toppings. Finally she says to the guy at the counter (something like) "you know, you guys should really consider offerering a seafood topping". Dude just smiled and nodded, I could barely hold back my laughter, when she was out of range I walked up to place my order and just chuckled, he knew, too.

If my description doesn't do justice, one more thing to add: When you get your pizza, it's not dressed in some fancy box with Geno's name on it. All it's in a standard white pizza box, with a generic-looking pizza-style guy holding a pizza, with the words (something like) "here's your hot pizza from your favorite pizzeria".

This, my friends, is the real deal. Can't wait to eat Geno's when we arrive 8/11/06, we'll probably order another one by 8/16/06.
