The mere fact that this place is gone is devastating. We went there yearly and this place had become awesomely fond memories for our children growing up. This place was something to look forward to in Myrtle Beach. The great food, the great hospitality and especially the busboy that was a floor show in itself! Thanks for the memories!

I did not realize that the filling station had closed until I looking for coupons. This was my favorite resturant in myrtle beach. It is so sad to see the small privately owned businesses closing down because the larger chains of resturants are taking away their business. I hope the kind man who always made are visit their so memorable will find a new place to sing. Sorry to see it closed.

I am so upset to find that the Filling Station is closed. I was upset when it moved from 17th Ave, but happy when I found it again. Got scared when the name changed. Now just downright sick! The staff was always wonderful, making sure I had the exact pizza I wanted. I would go there just for the cheeseburger pizza with the mayo/mustard base & pickles. It was the best!!! Also the chocolate chip cookie pizza hot from the oven was spectacular! I have no reason to go to Myrtle Beach now.... :(

Wow, I am soooo saddened to hear The Home Plate (The Filling Station) is closed. It was a Myrtle Beach tradition for my family. We checked in our hotel, then all headed to The Filling Station for our first meal. The pizza was fantastic. We would stand by the buffet and wait on the chocolate chip pizza to be brought out. And the man singing. He was the highlight!! I hope someone reopens this and keeps it just as it was before we head there this summer.

I'm brokenhearted to hear its no longer "The Filling Station!" My family and I visited MB for 20+ years during Christmas. We have been long time customers and the employees knew our names every year! I got married in MB and served the chocolate chip pizza instead of cake. Truely a great place!

The pizza was OK - mind you my husband ate 22 slices!! For the value you can't go wrong if you're on limited vacation budget. Isaac was the best - constantly cleaning tables - singing and changing his shirts!! He's what people come to see and hear. Perfect spot to take your kid's team!!

No longer called the Filling Station. Now called Home Plate. Not on 10th Avenue North, but Mr. Joe White Parkway. Pizza was ok, Salad bar was nice. We went there when it wasn't busy and were asked what toppings we wanted on our pizzas and they made them fresh. Staff was very friendly. Great value for the money. We will make this our first and last stop every year on our vacation to Myrtle Beach!

I'm not saying the pizza here is bad, but I wouldn't say it is good. If you are from the Northeast and want good, hand-tossed, NY style pizza don't go here. But if you want something half-way decent and inexpensive go for it. The pizza is similar to a Pizza Hut or CiCi's in quality. The restaurant was relatively clean - it wouldn't kill them to wipe down the salad bar more often.

My family started going to the Filling Station many years ago when it was on Hwy 17, and every time we go to Myrtle Beach we eat there before we check into the hotel. The new location is awesome and I still swear they have the best chicken noodle soup I've ever tasted. With 2 hungry sons, we definitely get our money's worth. Pizza, pasta, sandwiches, salad...it's all there. It's a tradition to go there the minute we hit town, and my wife and I are headed to MB later this month to keep our streak alive. And Isaac, well, what can I say that hasn't already been said?

My family of 5 ate dinner for under $30 which is a true value in Myrtle Beach. The pizza was better than I expected...I was impressed with the amount of toppings on the salad bar and the different sauces for the spaghetti. Issac was there and very friendly to us...he keeps people entertained as they eat. My children thought he was funny. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Myrtle Beach looking for a reasonable meal for a family with children.

My wife, four kids ages 19,17,12 & 6 visited the restaurant 7-1-09 and had a great time. Pizza was great and my daughter said the salad and pasta was good to. Asked for a couple of special pizzas and they were ready in no time at all. My youngest child has cerebral palsy and alot of places scare her with the noise and such but she also had a good time. My wife and I like MB very much but dont get to go as often as we would like, but we will come here every time we visit. Oh, and don't forget to watch and listen to Isaac cleaning tables. My first visit to this restaurant was 4 yrs ago and the same applied then.

First let me say you can't beat the price - 2 for $12 plus tax with coupon - all you can eat including beverage. I have been a visitor to Filling Station since they were in their old location on Business 17. I have to say I was pretty disappointed when we ate there on 6/26. The restaurant seemed short-staffed. Because they were very busy, they had a lot of trouble keeping up the supply of pizzas available. Also, the lunch meat bins were empty when we went in and were never filled up while we were there. I did enjoy the spaghetti. Even little things like cheese to sprinkle on your pizza were in very short supply. Sorry, but this was not the Filling Station I remember so fondly. I suggest trying this only if they are not busy.

This is must do when in mb. Pizzas are always fresh and if you don't see what you like just ask. They used to make a delicious "mashed potato" pizza but didn't see it last time we were there (oops I forgot to ask for it!). Don't forget to see isaac as he has got to be the "best" attraction in all of mb. He is a fantastic singer so if someone in your party is celebrating a birthday make sure to ask him for a song. Looking forward to visiting again this summer.

My girlfriend and I went to the filling station last night. We had the 5 dollar off coupon so it was only 13 dollars for the both of us to eat! However, the quality of food is not the best. I am really surprised about all the amazing reviews about their food. The pizza was worse then something i could buy from the supermarket. The salad bar was ok i didnt try the pasta. Dont go here looking for any sort of quality. Just really really cheap pizza. Issac is really cool though hes soo fast at cleaning tables. Overall, go to this place if your really broke or need to feed a lot of people at a cheap price but dont go here looking for any sort of real pizza

This place is AWESOME! We make it a point to visit at least once (usually more) while in MB. The food is great, and it's very affordable. Everything is hot and fresh, and if you want something you don't see, all you have to do is ask! The entire staff is friendly and accomodating. It is not fancy by any means, but the food is better than some of the expensive places we have visited. Start a family traition and visit The Filling Station, you won't be dissapointed!

I have lived in Myrtle Beach all my life, and the Filling Station Restaurant is my favorite pizza, pasta , salad and sandwich restaurant. There are over 1900 restaurants in MB.and there are a lot of pizza choices. The filling station has many differnt kinds of pizza, not just the normal ones. I guess I liked the cheeseburger and the choc chip the best. Wow it was good. The employees are very nice and go out of their way to help you. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. With as many chains and pizza restaurants in town as a local I would put the Filling Station at the Top for Price and Quality. They take care of the locals and by the crowds in the summer time they take care of the tourists too. Give it a try local or tourist.

Still the best pizza buffet in Myrtle Beach. It is always so consistent with the food quality(good) and service. It fells like a family when you walk in the front door. They have added new specialty pizzas,ie. buffalo chicken, blt and, of course, the cheeseburger pizza is still my favorite. Top off the evening with a slice of chocolate chip pizza and you walk out pleasantly filled! See you at the Filling Station.

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach since 1973 and somehow missed The Filling Station untill summer of 2007. It was recommended by a friend and we went once in the afternoon and once in the evening. This was in July 2007. There were 6 of us and we all loved the food and Isaac, he was wonderful!!! We will be back in 2008 more so than 2007. We tried the pasta and pizza, mustard and pickle was the favorite of our group.

Went to the Filling Station at about 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. Not a lot of selection on the buffet. There was only one booth that was clean, and the seat had a big gash in it. I never saw them bring out a new pizza the whole time I was there - I don't know what was really going on, but it appeared they were reheating a few pieces at a time and bringing them back to the buffet. The pizza itself was not good - the crust was the quality of a cheap frozen pizza and the cheese was like plastic. I used to eat here a few years ago and it was good, but this experience was not. Maybe o.k. if you have a Little Legue team to feed, but that's it.

We were going to eat supper at this restaurant on Saturday night but there were very few cars there at 6:30 so we decided not to go. After thinking about it the next day, we decided that since it was biker week there may have just been fewer people than normal eating out, except for bikers. We decided to eat lunch there on Tuesday as we were coming home. We were the first for the day and the employees asked us what kind of pizza we wanted. In about 8 -10 minutes the pizza was coming out to the buffet and several other people had arrived. From the first slice to the last slice all five of us enjoyed the pizza. It did not seem like the typical pizza buffets that only keep as little pizza out as possible, they were constantly bringing out fresh pizza. By the time we left many more people were coming and going. We will be eating here everytime we go to the beach.

It was awesome when it was on Kings Highway, and it is awesome now. My absolute favorite in Myrtle Beach. We love to watch Isaac work. It is such a joy to see someone love there job so much. went to the filling station for the first time when they had 2 baseball teams eating at the same time. the service was great. i had never seen 3 employees work so fast and in tune.they had at least 20 pizzas to choose from when we went in and they still asked if there was anything we could make us. how often do you get that? never! there desert pizza was out of this world. i am a local and i would highly recomend anyone who wants to have a great meal at a cheap price this is the place. the staff was friendly like i have never seen before. eat at the filling station!!!!!!!!!

The Filling Station is a great place to go. We've gone there for the last 6-7 years while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. The food is great, prices are affordable and we can't wait to see Isaac when we visit!! It's wonderful watching him, especially when he receives tips, to give thanks to Jesus. The variety of pizzas is just great-we're partial to cheese and pepperoni!!

We eat at the Filling Station on the first and last night of our vacation. Our daughter knows that is a tradition. We love the pizza. But we always look so forward to seeing Issac. He is true blessing to our family. God Bless You Issac and the Filling Station. The pizza and salad bar are wonderful. We remember when the Filling Station was in the old location and it was raining and there were 50 gallon buckets and trash cans to catch the water. Wow, how things have changed! See ya next week!

The Filling Station is a buffet style pizza restaurant. The food is very good and so is the service. This is usually our first stop every year when we get to Myrtle Beach for vacation. The price is less than you would expect to pay at Pizza Hut and this is all you can eat. They also have a very good salad bar and pasta is served as well. If you are looking for pizza, this is the place to go!

The best in Myrtle Beach. Just moved to MB. I took my family of 5 people and it was really cheap compared to other places. I would recomend this to anyone who asks. The employees are very friendly and the owner was also very nice. He was bald and they call him MR T. The selection that they had was great. They had at least 10-12 different KINDS of Pizza. They had a great salad bar with good stuff not the usual stuff. They also had soup and sandwichs all this for 7.50-8.00 a person for adults. I d/n think you can go to a fast food place for this price... This was my first time and I WILL BE BACK AGAIN. Located on Joe White Av. off of 10th Ave.

This was our family's second time visiting, we came last year I felt so comfortable there. A great Christian enviroment. This year when we visited, we met Isaac for the first time. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit when he hurried by. It was an AWESOME experience!! We had the chocolate chip and blueberry pizza great pizzas!! I Also met a young lady from Russia working on the Salad bar. and was very pleasant speaking to her. I wish her well in the future studies. Isaac was a blessing to our family with his praises!! He worked so fast, praised the Lord all witha constant smile on his face@@ Thank you for a wonderful memory. We will be back next year.!!

Like many reviewers, I have gone to the filling station every year since I was young (15 - 20 years ago). Now that I have a wife and daughter of my own, it is even better. Sure, the food is great, but seeing the expression on my 5-year-old daughter's face when Isaac the busboy "serenades" her is priceless. He has a way with children that few have, and he is hilarious to watch as he cleans tables. If you have kids, make a point to see Isaac and enjoy the great pizza/pasta/salad buffet.

What a great place to eat.the desert pizza is the best. My wife and I brought our family of five and ate for under $25. Cant beat that. There is big guy that is working every time we go there, you wont find a nicer and more friendly person. He always says hello and makes any pizza you want. He is the filling station in my eyes, it wouldnt be the same without him. If I had a resturaunt I would want him as my man.im sure they dont pay him enough. Anyway, if you go to myrtle beach you have to try the filling station. A great place for the family!.

It is out of this world! Went early and it wasn't very crowded. Fresh pizza was always being made and brought out. The bus boy(can't remember his name is so entertaining and very friendly. Will go back next time. Definatly a must if you're in Myrtle Beach.

I always loved going to the Filling Station as a kid with my parents. Now that I'm grown with a family of my own, I'll enjoy taking them there this weekend when we visit Myrtle Beach. I hope to see Isaac, the busboy. He is wonderful to watch. He can clear a table is a few seconds flat. Kids love to watch him go!

However, one summer, he must have been hot and he was sweating profusely and it was dripping on the table he just cleaned. That was NOT appetizing but the food is great. Very inexpensive for all you can eat.

Visiting the Filling Station is like visiting an old friend on vacation. A trip to Myrtle Beach is not the same if we don't visit Isaac and have some good pizza. There is nothing better than a hug from Isaac and chocolate chip pizza to make our vacation complete. Isaac has such a hug fan base I surprised he doesn't have his own website. Keep up the good work and we will see you next year!

We LOVE the Filling Station and have been going there since it was in the little old location on Kings Highway. Issac is AMAZING. We were so sad last year when we were told he had gotten a new job and wasn't there anymore. It just wasn't the same without him, but we still went back this year for the great pizza and it is honestly the best value on the beach with little to no wait time!

When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised that Issac was back! He is so sweet and remembers us every year. The kids love him and have a picture taken with him each time we are there.

I agree with the other reviews who say that the chocolate chip pizza RoCKS!!!!! We also like the cheesburger pizza and the bar-b-que beef pizza.

The best pizza I have ever had! The people are friendly and the food is delicious (I'm not talking just the regular cheese.pepperoni.etc. I mean chocolate chip, apple cinnamon, cheeseburger, BLT!!!) There is an amazing busboy who throws plates and sings, providing quite the entertainment (kids love him). It's fabulous...I encourage everyone to try it. It's very much a family friendly restaurant--one of a kind and fabulous. It can be a little tricky to find, but they will be happy to give you directions. The phone number is 843-626-9435. Though I live about 30 minutes away, I still travel to the Filling Station at LEAST once a month.
