Review: My husband and I recently went to NMB on vacation. I love Steaks and my husband loves fish. I had the filet which was amazing and my husband had Sushi. Everything was very fresh and cooked perfectly. The service was very good. We came in about 15 minutes until 7pm which is when happy hour ended. Our server let us know and went ahead and put in our order for a couple drinks and an appetizer so that we could get the discounted price. We highly recommend Filet's and we will go back.

Review: I had the chicken oscar which was absolutely wonderful, service was what I would expect. We have been to this restaurant several times and the food was always good, this time it happen to be valentines and we went with another couple we couldn't even hear ourselves talk the music was so loud we were actually screeming at each other. The setting is really nice, on the waterway, but if you go there to have a nice dinner and conversation, I will say you will have a nice dinner, but absolutely no conversation. We will probably not go back because of that.

Review: I was just recently down to Myrtle Beach with a golf group, there were 9 of us. When we walked it was happy hour so we sat at the bar and enjoyed some drinks and appetizers (Which was half priced). The restaurant has a Wonderful view of the waterway! Definitely would go back for another round of those Grouper Bites!

Review: When they first opened they served good food, good size portions, and the best was the bone in rib eye; although a bit on the pricy side it WAS worth it. But it has been a year or so since my wife and I have the opportunity to actually go out for dinner. I’m a restaurant owner here on the beach.

They have turned into the typical tourist trap: "Give them some atmosphere but serve them cheap because you won't see them again."

To start with we ordered two JUMBO shrimp cocktail’s @ $9.95. Now I expected the OLD Filets where you would be served five 6 to 10 count shrimp (a count is how many shrimp there are to a pound), shrimp served in a glass with cocktail sauce; and we were served four small shrimp (20 to 25 count) and they were butterfly’ed to make them look larger, plus they were served on a plastic plate with some dried-up lettuce and a 1 oz. cup of ketchup.

I did order the bone in rib eye, as my wife did, @$29.95, but as soon as I saw the quality the shrimp cocktail, I canceled my order from the kitchen. ***I figured that if the appetizer that was served was an indication of the main course, it was not worth it. ***which caused a big stir with the wait staff, but not with the owner, who sat at his bar drinking. He had a customer complaint and could not care less.

In short, the owner should get his act together before he turns into a "locals bar" and goes out of business like the past lessee's .

Administrator's note: The past lessee, The Marker (not to be confused with Marker 350), did not go out of business because locals loved it, as implied in this review. The restaurant was very successful. The owner, due to failing health and hospitalizations, closed the business.

Review: We were at Filets last night and had the worst waitress She.....delayed to get our drink order.....did not answer a question about a drink special they advertised on the menu....slow returning with our 2nd drinks after our meal arrived ..... slow to get ketchup for our 7 yr old..... we cleaned up our table she cleared it did not ask for more orders suggestions dessert coffee etc....then let us sit there waiting for our bill 15 minutes with empty glasses ....when the bill arrived it was not even ours had someone else's bill! We told the manager and STiffed her. She just didn't seem interested in serving us so as their name is Capt Dilligaf means Do I look like I give a F@#$ she didn't and I hope she reads this.

Review: The view was great (marina & intercostal), but the quality of the food was poor for the price. The grouper special was so overcooked that we couldn't eat it. The house salads were swimming in dressing (more dressing than iceberg lettuce), the vegetables were straight out of the frozen bag and the garlic potatoes were sticky. We had better food at the Duffy Street Seafood Shack.

Review: Happy hour is a great time to go to this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and you can eat outside overlooking the waterway. Make sure you ask the server which items on the menu have happy hour prices; this was confusing and a little deceptive. The dinner menu is pricey for this type of restaurant and the food is average. The live music is a little too loud and conversation can be difficult, but it is a nice place to hang out with friends.

Review: I am a Little River local and this past weekend took my in laws to dinner at Filet's. This was my first visit. The weather was chilly so we had a table inside by the window. There was a band playing that was WAY TOO LOUD for the restaurant. We could not talk to each other or hear each other for the majority of our meal. I thought that the menu was pretty basic and a little on the pricey side. My husband and father in law ordered the filet and they were both overcooked. THE SUSHI WAS EXCELLENT! I will be back for the sushi and to sit outside when the weather is nice!

Review: On 2 occasions I was asked to move from my table because the staff wanted to put someone else in our spot the second I finished. On neither occasion was I seated more than an hour. They definitely don't want you to sit and finish your wine after you eat- no relaxing there.

Review: Well, was begged to try it again, and again was a big disappointment. Been there now 3 times and have had a better prime rib at golden corral. One quick questions, where in the world did they find such small baked potatoes ??????????? it is a shame when you have to put 2 on a plate when some orders them as an extra side ! what a joke of dining experience ! way too many good resturants in the area, save your time and money..

Review: Although the food was fine, the service and attitude of the staff were unacceptable. On two occasions in one week we were asked to leave our table to make room for someone else. When we questioned that, we were told "you've been here over an hour!" Needless to say, it doesn't matter how the food is- we are not going back. It was also very smoky and noisy inside.

Review: This was our third visit to Filets. The first time we ate at the bar, the second time outside and this time we brought another couple and were seated by the window with a lovely view. Our waitress was cute and polite but had no idea of how to serve. Everything (drinks, food, and even when it came time to clearing the dishes) was passed to the person sitting on the outside - who had to pass it to the person seated near the window. If the seating was tight, this might have been acceptable but there was ample room behind us to serve on the right and pick up on the left. It took the experience from dining at a fine food restaurant to that of a fast chain (at fine dining prices). It was disappointing, especially, since we had brought guests. We saw this as a management issue, that the waitress was not trained properly or being watched. Our meals were okay. My husband said that his fish was very good, however, two of us had steak that was ordered medium and it came well done. The atmosphere, I'm sure, will bring us back for one more try. We are in the process of building a home and plan to move down permanently.

Review: We always go to Fillets for happy hour (4-6pm) at the outside Tiki Bar. Have also been to happy hour at the inside bar during the off-season when the Tiki Bar is closed. Have always received excellent service and the happy hour prices for food appetizers are very low for the quantity/quality of food served. We own a condo in Cherry Grove and spend approximately 4-5 months there over the course of a year. We have never been displeased with Fillets and will return again on our next trip.

Review: We have tried several times to have dinner outside , our first attempt we did get a beer amd nothing else ( not a second beer or menu) Our second attempt after 15 minutes ,.I walked up to the tiki bar to get drinks and menus, after finishing our drinks without a server coming to our table, we left. Did I mention that they were not even half full at the time?

Review: Nice restaurant with atmosphere and view. We were seated immediately last night and waited for 20 minutes while waitresses came back and forth numerous times without an acknowledgement to us. A server type person did ask if we had been waited on and gave us water, leading us to believe someone would be right there but it didn't happen. So we left.

Review: We had dinner at Filets. The food was outstanding; expensive but outstanding. The service leaves quite a bit to be desired. However, we ate outside on the deck and enjoyed the atmosphere. Our 15 month old enjoyed the chicken from the children's menu and our prime rib was excellent. Our son also enjoyed seeing the boats go by and we even got to see the draw bridge spin around for a boat to pass through! I would recommend the restaurant .. if you're not in a hurry.

Review: Visited over the 4th. The place was packed and I see why. Everything was excellent. I had the bone in rib eye and my wife had crab stuffed grouper. My steak was perfect pittsburg style. Our friends had sushi and loved it. The view is as great as the food. Keep it up.

Review: We have been coming to North Myrtle Beach for over twenty years. Filet's was one of the best experiences we've ever had. We had steaks and wine and the server was very knowlegable and courteous. On other trips, we tried the scallops, shrimp and lobster chunks that were prepared & served at the bar... EXCELLENT!! The outside Tiki bar (during warmer weather) is one of the best kept secrets on the North end of the beach and is a "must do" experience.

Review: We were a party of 6. After a long wait, (45 min) to receive our entree all but one was sent back. My background is the Hotel Industry and I have operated many restaurants over my 35 year career. This was probably the worst food and service I have ever had. I had the Filet. One would think since the name of the restaurant was Filets this would be their signature item. It was small, over done and tasteless, for $26 a real disappointment. Never again.

Review: The food is just not good. I have tried it several times. I am local to Little River and have given it chance after chance, but the food is always a disappointment. However, the tiki bar is the best place around to meet your friends and have a drink after work.

Review: My husband and I are locals to the North Myrtle Beach area and recently tried Filets at Harbourgate Marina. The restaurant is absolutly amazing. It has spectacular views of the Intracoastal Waterway. A wonderful menu that should satisfy almost any taste. The beef filet...simply the best piece of tenderloin i have had.

The Cowboy steak you will have to see to believe - 22oz bone in ribeye, my husband cant stop talking about it. Would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. An instant favorite for locals.

Review: We are locals and always try to take our guests to great places with good food and a nice atmosphere.

The view is awesome but the service and food are lacking.

There is no menu for children. A few items would be nice.

The Tiki Bar outside is fun!!!!

Peter, the chef , just can not get it together and the quality of food just is not there for the prices.

We have seen places come and go in this location. We wish they could get it together. We have tried it several times and it just is a disappointment.

A place like Filets needs locals to survive. We live next door in Sunset Harbor and others have shared the same experience.
