Sadly Emi has closed but Ben, the sushi chef there, has his operations in several local spots now including Goat Island in Georgetown and the Salt Creek in Murrells Inlet. Best sushi around the Grand Strand. ref: 19684 |

This restaurant is so great. Who knew that food in South Carolina could be so good! The sushi was among the best that I have ever had, and have eaten sushi all over the world. The homemade gyoza was definately the best that I have ever had. The atmosphere is great, and the service was excellent. The local grouper special that they are offering was so fresh and flavorful. This restaurant really knows how to prepare complex, delicious food. The best part about this restaurant was the desert! I took the waiters advice and ordered the white chocolate bread pudding with creme anglaise. All I have to say about this desert is WOW! I will definately visit this restaurant as much as possible when I am in the area. ref: 16200 |

I came here based on a recommendation by someone at another local restaurant. My expectations were exceeded, and had probably one of the best experiences I have ever had in any restaurant. Thanks for the tip! ref: 10534 |

My husband and I have eaten at Emi's before and when we saw the offer of prix fix menu we jumped at the chance to go back. We had appetizer, salad, main dish and dessert.Appetizers were choice of calamari/asian dumplings/spring roll. Choice of a soup or salad. Main dish was salmon, chicken or steak. Desserts were a homemade kit kat bar/and i think a bread pudding with bananas and sugar crusted on top. Good wine list. They say they change menus monthly. Didn't see this during the summer months so maybe it's for after the tourists leave. We were able to book our reservations online. The waiter greated us by name, the service is superb. ref: 8920 |

The dinners at Emi's are among the best in Pawleys Island - I recommend the sea bass and my husband and I also enjoy the obento box. The pork dinner was a favorite of our guest and any of the dumpling offerings you cannot go wrong with. Try a variety from the menu - and if you are looking for a great sushi venue - do not miss it. They also have a monthly wine tasting - I recommend you get on their email list. The staff is professional, warm and courteous and if you return more than once you will be remembered and welcomed. ref: 7308 |

My husband and I are from Chicago and are well-seasoned sushi eaters. We are picky when it comes to sushi restaurants and are impressed by Emi. We think it's one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in town. The owners are very particular about the freshness of the fish they purchase which gives us great peace of mind. We think Emi's miso soup is the best we've had. The sushi and the service is always good. My only suggestion would be for the chefs to get a little more creative with their sushi menu. All and all, you will not be disappointed. ref: 5647 |

I was skeptical of the deep souths ability to create such an inventive menu. Not only does the sushi far exceed my expectations, but the lengthy wine list did too ! Servers were helpful and knowledgeable of the cuisine. Impressive dinner only to be followed by an even more impressive dessert !

I haven't eaten sushi this fresh and fabulous since my vacation in Tokyo! My husband, not an avid sushi fan, was extremely satisfied with the variety of cooked (haha) options offered-even while seated at the sushi bar! His pork was so cooked to perfection that he was moved to share with me (not a small feat)! My only regret is that we don't live in the Myrtle Beach area-I would never have to cook again! ref: 4413 |

Emi is wonderful! The food was fantastic and the service was great. The atmosphere is upscale but inviting (not too fancy but not too casual either). Great wine selection also. We had a great time. Best place we've tried in the area. Rivals the NYC/NJ area restaurants we are used to. ref: 3680 |

This restaurant is FANTASTIC. There is no better place to eat sushi in South Carolina. I highly recommend the Spicy Emi roll at dinner, and definetly their famous white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. If someone in the group is not a sushi fan - there are many other options on the menu. I can't tell you enough how amazingly fresh and delicious their food is. And what an amazing wait staff ! ref: 3158 |

I love this place. They have a full sushi bar with the best tuna I have ever put in my mouth. The sushi rice, critical, is perfect. Shozo the sushi chef as wonderful. He catered to our every whim and he is so cute behind the bar. They also have a full menu from the dining room. Handmade dumplings, yakitori and tempura apps. And as if you think chosing a dinner will be easy, wait until you here the specials. A must visit in the Pawley's area! ref: 3144 |
