Review: Dynamite's is now Pete's Landing with a new phone number: (843) 280-5900. It's the best place to relax and watch the sunset on the waterway. Great live music where everyone's happy to dance or watch! Walk along the marina as the breeze blows your way, or chow down on some good food and refreshing drinks! Enjoy the giant outside deck with two full service bars! See you there!

Review: After reading most of the reviews STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Bad service and poor quality food. They act like they dont care if you are there or not. Maybe a good place to go to enjoy the waterway and have a drink if only you could get a drink.

Review: Having been to Dyamites many times since it opened, I have a hard time trusting the Bartenders. Seems like if you have a few drinks and don't pay attention, the Bartenders tend to short change you. It has happened to me 3 times. Last time I was in there (The inside bar) I ordered a drink for my girl friend and a beer for myself and it came to $7.50 so after we finished, I ordered another and didn't have enough money to pay. It has happened more than once, so count your change as I will from now on. My fault, should have counted it myself. BE CAREFUL, I hear it happens all the time. Other than that, Dyamites is a cool place to go......Will go back with exact change.......

Review: we have been to Dynamite's several time and always have a good time, sometimes the food takes a long time but the entertainment always makes up for the wait. the food has been pretty good most of the time. a time or two was not real hot. but we are locals and go back time and again. love the music.

Review: I would like to thank - DYNAMITE for having the OD Shag Club last Saturday night - I believe it was the best party we have every had; everyone could sit, the food was great, and the service a "plus". thanks from a member of the OD Shag club, Marty and Jack Fields

Review: At times, the service is below par, but the bands and the atmosphere MORE than make up for that! Yes, sometimes it's easier to get up and get your own drink, but hey! You can dance on the way to the bar! The food is good and the beer is cold! This is a great place to spend an evening!

I also love the fact that the bands start fairly early--no waiting until 10pm to get the party started!

Review: As restaurant owners ourselves the only thing that this place has is a beautiful location on the water. The service is terrible as we were the first on many people that showed up later. The food was as bad as the service as it was served wrong twice. We were a party of six. Four diners were served and the other two were served twice, wrong both times. The waitress said i dont know whats wrong with the kitchen. When asked if we could see the manager he would not even talk to us. The waitress said she was ready to quit that nite. Stay clear.

Review: Graet Band the other night. They had a bartender in the back section named Cooter ----- bad sevice and bad attitude. Personality of bartenders being pleasant are a part of making or breaking businesses like this. I hope the club makes it with keeping help like this old coot.

Review: The main attraction is the entertainment and atmosphere on the water. It's a great place for drinks, but the food is hit or miss. The calamari was terrific. The crab dip was just cream cheese with a lot of old bay and a kick of cayanne, but hardly any crab. The ribs were wet yet the meat was tough and dry. I wouldn't go back.

Review: If you enjoy Carolina Beach Music, this is the place to go. No cover charge and some of the best Beach Music Bands there are. A good dance floor and good food, maybe some things are a little pricey. Located by the Intercoastal Waterway, with a great sunset. We go here at least once a month, when we are at the beach. Also, you feel comfortable if you are past the teeny bop years. Great place for 40-60 year olds.

Review: Dining outside by the water with a breeze is what going to the beach is all about. Myrtle Beach needs more places like this. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Dock Holidays. Seven of us were seated right away outside. We were able to walk around the dock viewing the yachts before the food was served. Everyone found something on the menu they wanted and the price was fairly reasonable. The best part was the live entertainment. The Tim Clark Band was fabulous and extremely fun. We were sorry to leave. I recommend this restaurant to everyone looking for a fun time.

Review: ive been to Dynamites twice now. both times ive sat outside at the bar while bands were performing. the bartenders are great and i often find myself there from late afternoon to late in the evening. its just a very fun, lively, entertaining place to be. i have not eaten there although people ive gone with have. they LOVE the baked potato salad. not to mention the $1 cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon. A great place to go for fun with FREE entertainment. A great treat for a late sunday afternoon.

Review: I have enjoyed our experience at dynamites. I reccommend this restaurant to people and their children. It is a fun place to eat, drink, and dance. Even the staff members join in on the fun and dance. Our server lauren picked up my child and drug us to the dance floor and the band fantasy was awesome! it is a place I will be coming back to !.

Review: Went on June 20th and June 22nd. Menu was very good, many different things to choose from. Lobster Tail was the best I've ever had. Service was terrible both nights. Didn't see our Waitress for long periods of time. Could've ordered more drinks and dessert, but got tired of waiting. Salad was brought out after our meal was served. Second order of appetizers never came. They did credit our bill for the appetizer and additional for our complaints on Friday. Bands were great on both evenings. Dance floor and tents are fun. I would try again because of the atmosphere and food.

I did not like the food at Dynamite's until recently, and now I love it. The food has finally caught up with the atmposphere and location to create the entire package of a good night out!

Review: I recently went to Dynamites last weekend. The food was excellent, complimenting the great atmosphere. The waiter we had looked like Bob Saget and made our evening. We got to meet the chef.He made us feel like home and seem to communicate w/ the waiter to meet our needs.

Review: Dynamites has just reworked the entire menu, and made some major changes to the work force. The new chef/kitchen manager John has run many clubs in the Myrtle Beach area and was the reason for these changes. Look for this to not only be the best location for music, dancing, live entertainment but to be one of your favorite places to eat. The location is awsome right on the water were you can watch the sunset, and always a nice breeze. This will be your favorite place to eat drink and dance in Myrtle Beach as it is mine.

Review: We live in Myrtle and enjoy beach music bands. Dynamites is a fun place to listen to live entertainment, especially when they have the bands outside. Their food and service however leave something to be desired. People who say this is a great place to eat obviously do not eat out much. If you like to party and listen to beach music it can be fun! Eat somewhere else! Myrlte Beach resident

Review: Extremely bad service. I have been there several times and the food is average. The bartenders are rude and the wait staff always forgets about their tables. I have managed restaurants and have been in the customer service business for about fifteen years. We all have our off days and I love to just think that maybe an employee is having a bad day. It is sad that they seem to hate customers and their jobs in general. The only thing that is great about Dynamites is the location.

Review: I think this is one of the coolest places on the beach. And what a great view. You can look out over the ICWW and gaze at the sunset. You feel like you are on a cruise ship because of all the many levels. If you don't want to sit outside (but why wouldn't you), they have nice seating inside as well. But the BEST pasrt is that not only can you eat a good dinner, you don't have to leave - the entertainement is right there - One Stop Shopping!! We were there when The CRAIG WOOLARD BAND was there - what a night!!! The place was packed, but that's what made it so exciting. I felt like I was at the hottest place on the East Coast!! Who needs Miami when you've got this!! We now check to see when that band is perfroming there and make our vacation plans around the Craig Woolard Band and Dynamites. The only thing that would make it better would be if I had a big yacht to drive up to it in so I could dock right there and enjoy the Fantastic entertainment, great food, and beautiful scenery and atmosphere! You should check it out!

Review: I have been to Dynamite's quite often, both on slow and busy nights. Sometimes the service is slow due to the crowd and sometimes it's fantastic. I know it's hard for the waiters and waitresses to move among the huge crowd that gathers outside the doors to watch the bands, socialize, etc. This does make for slower service, with them trying to get thru the crowd to see to their tables. I have been at the front door and heard people get rude and ugly because the hostess did not have any tables left outside and had no idea when one would be available. I have heard them say that the locals will grab the tables, sit and drink all night. But they always offer to seat people immediately inside. Yes, sometimes the kitchen gets backed up. That is totally understandable during the tourist season at the beach. I have stood in line at many restaurants on the Grand Strand for over 2 hours waiting on a table, with no band playing to amuse me while I wait. It just seems the tourists come here and demand 1-1 service when it's not humanly possible, then get upset when they don't get it. I have heard some get angry when the hostess tells them they can't bring their own drinks in. Personally, I don't know of another restaurant/bar on the Grand Strand where you could bring your own in. So why be rude with them? I have always admired the hard workers at Dynamites, doing all they can to wait on people in a timely manner. I am not living in a dream world where I am the only person there, like a King, waited on hand and foot. And when I walk in and see several large groups ordering, I know it will be a wait for my food to come. But in my eyes, and my stomach, the wait is worth it. Where else can you go on the Grand Strand, sit and view the water, boats of all sizes, hear famous bands, dance, meet new and interesting people, while waiting for dinner? NO WHERE! Dynamites is the place to be, in my book! I've always had a great time, danced till I was sore, and ate good food. Everyone should try Dynamite's!! And remember to be nice to the employees, because we aren't the only customers they have. They are working as hard as they can, so give them a break. You do everywhere else!

Review: We are locals and will never again visit Dynamites after our latest experience over the Labor Day weekend. There was a large crowd and a good band. We waited 20 minutes for a server to take our drink orders but no one stopped by the table, even tho servers were walking past us the whole time. I went over to the bar to place our orders but the bartender never acknowledged me, even though I was standing on the barstool to get his attention. A man next to me was waiving his money so he could pay his bill, but still no acknowledgement from the bartender. We decided enough was enough when a woman next to me raised her shirt to get the bartender's attention! It's a real shame because this place has a great location and potential. Is there a problem with hiring more servers? Rest assured we will tell all our friends to go elsewhere.

Review: I am sad to say that I will not be going back to this restaraunt. We are locals and have been several times before this incident and it was great.

Early on a friday night in JUNE 2006, my party of 4 arrived at Dock Holiday's and were pleased to see that it was not jam packed full like we were expecting.. We went to the front door, and saw an empty hostess stand, waited for about 5 minutes here, and not seeing anyone there or any signs, figured that we could seat ourselves, so we went inside to seek out a table on our own. We found several empty tables and seated ourselves on the deck by the bar. No one came to take our order, or even acknowledged us. So after 15 minutes of no service, I went inside and approached a waitress and explained that we had not seen a hostess up front so we sat ourselves and could she please let the appropriate person(s) know so that we could get a server. We then went back to the table where, 15 minutes later, even though servers came and went back and forth right in front of us, no one stopped.

We didn't even have menus!

I approached an older lady in plain clothes who had a stack of menus in her hand, thinking maybe she was management or a hostess and she indicated that she was a hostess. She was at the bar directly in front of our table, not seating people. I again nicely expained that we had seated ourselves and 25 to 30 minutes now had gone by, and we had not been waited on, even after letting a waitress know. She gave us the menus she had and said she would have someone right back out to take our orders.

Well, silly me, I believed her... We sat there, and again waited another 10 minutes, and no one came. By now, we had wasted so much time that we didn't have time to eat anywhere else before our concert at the House of Blues that started at 8:30pm, so we got up and left extremely shocked and dissapointed at the lack of service and the nonchalant attitude that both of the employees showed after being notified that a table of 4 waiting to spend money at their establishment had not been given the opportunity.

Too bad, we all have extensive families in the nearby area who eat out frequently and rest assured they will not be patronizing Dynamites at Dock Holidays anymore. So congratulations. You have successfully lost the business of 4 families, approximately 30-35 wallet-toting hungry local people.

Review: I've eaten @ Dynamites several times as we go there often. They have good bands and it's a good place to meet people. They have the best onion rings and seafood in town. Their quality of food is above average. However, their chicken wings - not good; Dynamite Burger - too bland. They need to grill it with some type of seasoning and use American Cheese - any kind other they what they are using now (maybe they can give you a choice). Also, when I want a Salad, I want real lettuce not weeds.

Review: The food we have tried is great. Atmosphere is great and it's nice to see young and old people there enjoying themselves.

The entertainment is excellent and obviously the locals know this is the place for lite dining, drinks, and shag dancing. If you want an evening out without traveling from location to location, this is the place to be. Relax, enjoy the view, have a lite dinner, and dance off the calories!

Review: The food was excellent, however there is a very limited menu. The atmosphere is not appealing and appeared to be more of a bar/club that tried to be a restaurant during the day. The place was not very busy, but the bar was full of older locals. Definitely not a young (under 30) crowd.
