Haha where do I start? this place is a joke top to bottom. I worked there for a little bit and definately will never eat there. The entire staff is composed of idiots with a kitchen staff (who thinks they are emeril or something) should be cooking slop for pigs as thats about how talented they are. The prices are a joke also so please if you see this place just laugh at them because they are an excuse of a fine dining "fish house". I didn't know fine dining included frozen fish, shrimp, and lobster. Sounds fresh!.

Very pricey for an outside "patio" dining. The food was average at best. The salads were a joke. The marsh views were the best part, certainly can't get that in Ohio. They need to lower their prices if they can't offer better quality food. The atmosphere only goes so far if you leave feeling ripped off.

Very pricey - as any fine dining restaurant would be, but...this is not fine dining. I ordered the Charleston Stone Bass pesto dish with roasted potatos and tomato's au gratin. The pesto must have been put on the plate with a hyperdermic needle - you could barely see the line of it. The pesto on top of the fish looked dried out and tasteless. The roasted potatos were ROCKS, was that really a potato at one time. The tomato's au gratin may have been good but they were so paper thin you could not taste them. My husband ordered the special of the day, $30 entree - bland and non-special. Waitress was ok but not superb - green shirts did most of the waiting - all in all for a $100+ dinner for two (anniversary at that) left alot to be desired. Our reservations requested table by the window, they had no knowledge of that but luckily there was a table by the window available. The views are lovely. Disappointed local - been there before tonight but will not return. tsk tsk tsk.

Ended up at Divine simply because the wait at Drunken Jack's would be 1-1/2 minimum. We were out for my son's 14th birthday and frankly I would not wait 1-1/2 hours in a restaurant line if the Pope himself was serving... Anyways, the menu at Divine looked good but the restaurrant looked a bit fancier than I would have picked for a night out with 14 and 10 year old boys, but seeing as some patrons were in shorts, in we went. Well, we had the dinner of our trip. Hands down a much better result than had we gone to Jack's next door. Service was superb and very kid-friendly. The meals were out-of-this-world. I had the Asian Seared Tuna and being a tuna afficianado, this was THE one. A bit pricey, but this was a special occasion and the result was completely memorable.

We've enjoyed Divine many times over the years, but this last time was a disappointment. We had Friday night reservations for 7:30pm, and were seated promptly. We were seated on the second row/elevated tier on the second floor. It was quite a frantic scene there, what with the green-shirted server-helpers literally running back and forth with table setups, bus trays and serving food. That, coupled with the high-noise level in the restaurant, made for an unsettling atmosphere. However, at least the green-shirts showed up at our table. We did witness THREE occasions where parties were shown to their tables that had not be bussed, let alone set up and confusion ensued. The parties had to stand awkwardly in the aisle while a hostess ran around trying to figure out "what the heck". For a $90 meal-for-two-with-drinks, we saw our waiter 3 times. The rest of the time it was the green-shirt crew, who did an excellent job. The waiter practically frizbeed our salads at us as he ran by once, not offering ground pepper...or anything else, for that matter. Let the record show that we have two daughters, both of whom are waitresses at restaurants of similar price-point as Divine. So, we've heard the stories and are careful as to how we treat servers - we aren't "that kind" of customer. We both ordered mahi-mahi. After our meals were delivered by a green-shirt, we discovered that I had mahi-mahi, but my wife had something else. Not sure what. When we told our waiter, he said "well, I entered-in mahi-mahi!" Ooohhh kay. No apology, nothing. Since my wife kind of liked whatever it was she was eating (halibut?) we asked the waiter to find out what it was (he couldn't tell by looking at it!). Never saw him again until time for the bill. Seems to me that even if supported by green-shirts, a server should ALWAYS check the food being delivered to his/her tables...and at least know what the heck is being served. First time in 10 years that I've left a 10% tip versus the usual 20%+. The mahi-mahi, by the way, was excellent. We did see other apparently skilled servers competently handling their tables. So, I guess we just got the runt of the litter that night.

This was our first visit to Divine Fish House. We were seated promptly on a Sunday at 7:00 with a pleasant view of the inlet. All was going well until my wife discovered a bug (fortunately dead) in her salad. When we told the waiter, Steve, he said only that it did not belong there and whisked away the remaining salads, with no word of apology or offer to replace them. The food was delivered promptly by the busboy. It was fresh and well prepared, but it took us fifteen minutes to track down the waiter to order a second glass of wine. No effort was made to compensate for the bug in the salad. We paid the bill - which was $80.00 for two, feeling that the restaurant staff should have been trained better in service recovery.

My husband and I, along with another couple walked along the Marsh Walk & decided to eat at Divine Fish House. We were seating right along the boards. We ordered a crab dip appetizer & also some soup. They were all amazing. The cream of crab & lobster soups were very good. My salmon entree was amazing. My friend ordered scallops which she said were the best she ever had. We live in Maryland so we have seafood a lot. We were very impressed. The food was pricey but I'd definitely say it was worth the price! Great drinks too.

July 16th, 2010 We ate at the Divine at Murrels four nights this past week and it was extremely good. We live in Indiana and after two trips to Myrtle Beach, we simply return to the Divine for the excellent sushi and seafood dinners. The lobster bisque was fabulous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality seafood at very reasonable prices.

We were seated quickly and the appitizers were good but not as we ordered. We never got asked if we wanted anything to drink other than water. Our entre's never arrived. After an hour we put money on the table and left. We saw a lot of people sitting and waiting, a lot of waiting. I really can't comment on the overall value since we didn't stay for the whole dinner but we wouldn't return.

The sushi and sashimi was great, the atmosphere great, the regular menu food was awful and overpriced. Would not come back. There are much better restaurants in the vacinity with great vues. My husband ordered grouper. Well, it was not grouper. It was catfish and tough and chewy. It was awful. Salad was lame.

I was part of a large party. Everyone was excited about going to Devine's! we were seated promptly, that was the best part. We waited for drinks, someone came by and brought 2 baskets of bread, we needed three. It took 1 hour to get appetizers, and an hour later the salads came! No one cleared off the dirty plates, but our waiter filled our water glasses. (Our 80 old Grannie got up and went to look for the manager, she was hungry!! ) When the dinner finally arrived, it took the waiter three trips to the kitchen to get everyone served! The food was ok, not worth the wait. Four of the dinners were on the house, the older couples and the steak dinners due to over cooking. The waiter needed an assistant, the manager should have taken steps to remedy the situation. I would not go back or ever recommend Divine's to anyone. ,

We went to Divines on a recommendation. We were greeted by a very snobbish, hauty hostess who indicated that we really should have made a reservation and that she would try to work us in. We were in the restaurant for about 1 1/2 hours and it was less than half full....I found that really disturbing and was not impressed. Our dinners were average or less. I had the chef's special which was a red snapper with a wine, mushroom, garlic over risotto. The meal was beyond bland...no taste whatsoever. I could have been eating wallpaper paste with more flavour. The saving grace was the lobster bisque that we had pre-dinner. My husband had the seafood platter and it was very ordinary. For these prices I would have expected better. Our dinner for 2 was $100. - very overpriced for the quality of food we had. The atmosphere and the decor are wonderful but the food is overrated.

We were seated promptly and enjoyed the great bread and butter. My husband's and sons' dinners were outstanding (wahoo, napoli and ahi tuna). My mahi-mahi was OK but way overcooked. The steamed veggies were delicious. The service started off fine, but the waiter spent an inordinate amount of time talking to the table behind us (I think they wanted him to go away and get their food) and never even took our drink order - luckily our water glasses were filled! The "talking" noise wasn't bad, but the music was pretty loud. Overall, pricey but a higher quality of food and I will definitely be back.

We arrived early enough (5:30PM) that we were seated promptly. The waiter did not know the fish of the day and a few details about one special, but promptly found out. Our group of three received very good service otherwise. The waiter also had a group of at least twelve people. Divine's reminds me of some business restaurants that work hard on appearances at the expense of overall value.

My husband and I will never return to this restaurant. It was one of our favorites. We waited over an hour just for salad and soup, which was delivered saturated in the wrong dressing. Our waitress never once checked on us to see how we "enjoyed" our meals. She disappeared for long periods of time, ignoring us most of the evening. To end our night, our water glasses were actually refilled. However, there were disgusting unknown floaters in both of our glasses. When we made the manager aware, she told us she wouldn't have a problem drinking it! Well drink on, because we won't be back! Waste of money, poor service!!! Not what anyone would expect from a so called upscale restaurant. Very disappointed!!

We ate here two days ago and sat outside at Wahoo's. I wanted to be by the water and we were seated quickly.

Our waiter was nice, but he seemed overwhelmed by the other table he was taking care of. He didn't really pay us that much attention, and we often asked had to get his attention to signal that we needed a drink. The other table had 8 people or so, so we gave him a break. He seemed like a nice guy.

My husband had the snow crab legs and I had the lobster. This was only my second time having lobster. The first time I had it was at Outback. We normally don't do the whole "chain" thing but I was surprised that the lobster at Outback was so good. I couldn't wait to be in a nice place and have an even better experience! I wasn't disappointed, but the lobster was tough. I don't have much to compare it to, but honestly, Outback's lobster was better. Much better. My husbands crablegs were VERY good. I wish I'd have gotten them instead. The drinks were good, too. I had a Ruby Red rita. We spent 100 dollars on dinner and I don't think it's really worth 100 bucks. Maybe if we were inside the Divine Fish House and payed for service and atmosphere.... but the quality of food wasn't fantastic. We ejoyed our night though. The view was beautiful, service was fine, food was decent, etc. I would go back just for the crab legs!

This is a place to go to for a higher grade of seafood specialties. I've never had anything that wasn't excellent. But, it is not unusual to have to wat 45 minutes to an hour to get your food once you order it. I've found that if this is addressed with the waiter up front, order appetizers, and expect the wait, it is worth the higher price. If you're really hungry and expect to get your food in a reasonable time, go next door to Bovines. They are owned by the same people but you will get your food much faster there.

We had dinner with friends last night and were extremely satisfied with this, our first visit. We were all happy with our meals and those that had the lobster & crab bisque loved it. I had the banana leaf grouper and it was excellent. Our only criticism was the speedy service. We asked the waiter to slow it down and our experience improved greatly. Certainly going back!

Memorial Day week end 07 - This restaurant was awesome- if you ever go there you have to try the fried green tomatos with chevre cheese-(out of this world) and also if you are a sushi lover try the tuna tar tar in the lite puff pastry... scrumscious! Or.. the lobster bisque soup - I think I was in heaven. Great waiter, great service, very nice atmosphere... its just a little pricy, but well worth it. I cant wait till Myrtle Beach 08, Its first on my list to hit up.

I would recommend having a reservation for the Divine Fish House. My family and I enjoyed our dining experience at this beautifully appointed restaurant. We had a window table overlooking the inlet. Our waiter was very attentive, especially to my 9 year old son. The food was creative and delicious, especially the shrimp and ravioli. Great place for dinner!

We live in Myrtle Beach locally and have gone to Divines for every special occasion (birthdays, anniversaries, when friends come into town, etc.) for the past three years. For the past year, the service has declined dramatically. The servers are not well-trained and not courteous. I highly recommend a better training plan for them to be able to run a tighter ship since the restaurant brings in high volumes of customers. We love the atmosphere, the food, and espcially the sushi, but we are definitely looking into trying new places due to such bad service. Everyone says the food is overpriced, but you're paying for the atmosphere as well. In our case, the atmosphere is no longer up to par.

Highly recommended restaurant that disappointed big time. Warm salads...spoiled fish...service fine but food especially salads were served 5 minutes apart. We were never offered dessert or coffee and we were celebrating a birthday. Shame on you!

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Devine Fish House on June 16th, 2007. The baked oyster appetizer was the best we have ever eaten. We asked for a special combination of seafood that was not on the menu, which we shared. They served us with a smile and charged much less than I expected for the special order. After dinner, we loved our stroll on the dock that allowed us to walk by many of the other restaurants in Murrells Inlet and listen to the live band music coming from most of the establishments. The visit to Murrells Inlet was the highlight of our visit to Mrytle Beach.

We had reservations for 6 pm on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately at a table by the water, as we had requested when we made the reservation. The fried oysters were delicious (as was the fried shrimp) but the rice they served with it was way too spicy hot. I could barely eat it, and others in our party had to exchange it for something else. They should have given us the option for something else when they were taking our orders. To me it just didn't taste good. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves, had a good meal, and would definitely eat there again (and ask for potatoes instead of the rice).

Went with a group of 12 golfers, and the service was near perfect. Waiter did seperate checks for everyone at the table, which was amazing considering how busy the restaurant was. Food was excellent and they had several unique selections on the menu. We will definitely go back next time we're in the area..

Excellent food, a little pricey but most certainly worth it! The only complaint was that our server was a little busy and that led to us not being seen quite often. The best dish at the table was the sea bass entree, truly melted in your mouth.

The food is good but overpriced. The selection looks good on the menu but doesn't deliver when it comes to flavor. Portions are small. Other restaurants by the same ownership group are very good but they miss the target at Divines.

OK, but not great. Overpriced food. Try Bovine's next door, owned by the same restaurant group. Much better food and value and dining experience. Not impressed with their sushi bar.

Very nice looking restaurant overlooking water, but very disappointed in service. Waiter was on another page. He forgot to bring out one of our dinners and instead of going to get it he decided to take an order from another table on the way.

We waited for the missing dinner to arrive -- but by that time we all had cold meals and at $25 a plate that went down hard.

Next time we will try another spot that's not so crowded and where the waiters are a little more experienced in multi-tasking.

Been going to this place for a number of years. Consistently very good/excellent food, although pricey. Wonderful views. We had reservations for 7:30pm on a Sunday, were seated immediately. Probably did not need reservations.

I do not recommend the ginger salad dressing - essentially a high-class Russian dressing.

You will not find better seafood anywhere on the Strand. Period.

Noise level this past time (July 2006) was totally unacceptable, especially considering the $170 tab for 4 people. Almost left the restaurant before the salad arrived. Busboys banging dishes, silverware when cleaning off tables, moving/banging chairs on the wooden floors, hoisting chairs over railings letting them drop/bounce on the wood floors. One kid/busboy even got the chairlegs tangled in an overhead lighting thing when he was moving a chair (over his head!!) from one area to another. All this in addition to the screaming kid (granted, not the restaurant's fault), someone dropping apparently a full tray of dishes/glasses, and the loud multi-family group seated near us.

The wooden flooring on the second level in front of the windows is not conducive to quiet dining. Be careful about where you're seated.

Other'n that, it was great!!

Outstanding! The menu offers both basic and creative preparations - excellent presentation. The atmosphere is upscale casual, yet family-friendly, with a beautiful view overlooking the inlet. Our 10 yr old made a special request from the children's menu (pasta, but with Alfredo sauce, plus some seafood). The waiter suggested ordering it as "shrimp" with pasta instead of fries as it would cost less, then delivered a huge bowl of fettuccini Alfredo with sauteed shrimp and crabmeat - unbelievable! My wife ordered the veal and I had salmon with sauteed spinach served over fried grits. Best and most memorable meals of our entire trip. We frankly stumbled upon this place after a recommendation to eat next door at Drunken Jack's. Got there at 5:30 and found an hour wait! Divine's filled up as we were leaving (7:30) - a little pricier (and appears to be more upscale) than Jack's. I'm sure Jack's is great, but next time we're in the area, we'll be back at Divine's!

Went to Divine's on trip to Myrtle Beach this past weekend. The weather was still good enough to eat outside (outside bar/area called "Wahoo's") Atmosphere was great, food was even better! For appetizers had seared tuna (delicious) & lobster dumplings (very good). For dinner, I had grouper w/sticky rice, plantains - out of this world! My friend had sea bass which she enjoyed just as much. After dinner we walked through the inside part of the restaurant and it looks great... cannot wait to go back and try sushi and sit inside... very, very cool.
