Review: I have been visiting Derbsters for 16 years. We are a goup of golfers from Iowa that go once a year. No matter what any review says, there has never been a problem with anything at this place. It has become the reason 16 Hawkeyes show up there every year for a week. Great food, people, and jukebox. The drinks are good and plenty. Have fun! Say Hi to Rose, Bill, and Papa.

Review: My mother-in-law lives just up the road in Sunset Beach, so every time my husband and I go down for a visit, a stop at Derbsters for lunch is a must-do. Generally, we order up a couple Derbsters cheeseburgers and a heaping pile of their beer battered onion rings. The burgers come to you hot off the grill, cheese perfectly melted, and bun lightly toasted. It is served up condiment free, but ketchup, mustard, and mayo bottles are supplied on the table, so you can "sauce it up" as you like. All the toppings, lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles are always fresh and crisp. Do it right, and you got yourself a fork and knife burger for half the price of a fork and knife restaurant. And the rings are to-die-for! Wash it down with a fizzy soda, delicious southern sweet tea, or your choice of many ice cold beers. The restaurant is a pub-like, sports bar type eatery where even a girlie girl can feel comfortable. It's a come on in, pick your seat, and get fast service with a smile kind of place. Usually for lunch, it's fairly quite, with locals at the bar chatting it up with the bartender about the weather and the tide, their most recent golf score, or the game that's playing on one of the TV's that surround the bar area. The added bonus for us was that the last two times we were there, we were joined for lunch by a little green lizard that peered in at us through the window. I think he actually drooled when he saw us take the first bite of those steaming onion rings!

Review: Crap food, they over-pour the drinks, so, you aren't exactly getting jipped, however the bar stinks because they don't clean the rubber mats. Kareoke Friday nights is a lot of fun, I go most every week.

Review: A nice friendly local tavern/restaurant with many regulars. The bartenders are very pleasant and efficient. It's a good stop.
