I went to Crabby Mike's last year and had a great time. The buffet was enormous and the staff were constantly bringing fresh pans of crab legs. I was disappointed that the seafood selection consisted of mainly fried and breaded fish. It would have been nice to have a larger selection of grilled fish. The shrimp was the best tasting item with a spicy cajun marinade that was perfect. I recommend skipping lunch and arriving 15 minutes before they open to get a great table and first crack at the buffet. Our waitress was great and the environment was nice too. I'm going to the Original Benjamins this year and will compare the 2. P.S. If you bring a small child they will be frightened if you put a crayfish on them, use this knowledge for good or evil.

Food is of the best quality especially for a large buffet and I do mean large buffet. Service is good considering the large parties and groups they deal with. If you want a lot of atmosphere it may not suit you, but again this is a large place and seats a lot of people so don't go there to get away from it all. I was impressed with the price for the great variety and quality of the food. Large parties may take a little longer to seat, but I thought they seated people in a very reasonable length of time. It is a little noisy, but it is a large and open area restaurant and the crowds are tourists which accounts for a lot of noise and talking. Go for the variety and quality and you will love it. I wish I lived 800 miles closer to it.

If you're going here for the crab legs and prime rib, then the price is well worth it. I'm sure our party of 7 ate over 10 pounds of crab legs. They were wonderful, especially when you got them fresh, hot and steamy. I also enjoyed my rare prime rib. That was all I got. I noticed that most people go for the crab leg. The selection of foods was vast. My tiny elderly mom, who rarely eats anything these days, had 3 small portion plates of food and 2 plates of desserts!

We go to Crabby Mike's once a year and love it! Great experience for the family and the buffet is better than most. If you looking for a great food and a quite atmosphere go to "The Original Benjamins" If your looking for good food and an exciting atmosphere Crabby Mike's is the place!

This place is a total rip off. WAY OVERPRICED!! The food isn't very good. Complained to the manager about the food and the price and he was very unhelpful. Our waitress was very nice and apologized and even admitted that she works there just for the money since it's priced so high. I've been telling everyone to stay away from this place. Just ask the locals and they'll tell you too.

We had another fine trip to Mike's several weeks ago. Mid-May has no crowds, no waiting and the food was great. The crab legs kept coming, the prime rib was perfect and the other items I tried were the best I have had at any of the seafood buffets. And the stone crab claws on the salad bar were a real treat. We have eaten here very early and very late and found the food to be consistently good - not dried out nor scarce. For the money, we feel this is the best buffet and although this time we were staying near Restaurant Row, Mike's is well worth the drive to Surfside.

My family and I recently enjoyed an evening at Crabby Mike's. We are from Michigan and one of the best things about vacation is an all-you-can eat seafood buffet. Crabby Mike's didn't let us down. The crablegs and corn on the cob were piping hot and the dessert bar was very impressive. I think the menu said 120 items and I believe it. Our server was friendly and efficient. The van, covered with an enormous crab, parked out front was a perfect photo opp for us tourists! We will return next year to Crabby Mike's!

My mother and I were to attend the show across the street at Legends so I chose a location for dining close to the theater. I had just moved into the area and selected Crabby Mike's based on a friend's recommendation. Boy, was that a mistake. We chose the buffet without looking at it first and that was our second mistake. My mother is in her eighties and never complains about the food in any location that I select but she had some choice words for this one! We were shocked at just how "American" the buffet selection was. As best as I can remember the buffet had some seafood, but was abundant with lasagna, stir-fry "surprize" and alot of other items I didn't expect to find on a buffet in this price range. Overcooked food is never a pleasant dining experience and they featured plenty of that. The worst thing I noticed was the crappy presentation of overcooked food all over the buffet and with managers standing around chatting with each other not paying any attention to the quality of food being presented for purchase by their patrons. I went back to the buffet area several times in hopes of fresher food being supplied by the staff. Never happened. I just about had to knock some of the staff chatting with each other out of the way to get to some of the selections. Was I wearing an invisible man costume that night? I have no idea. The most pleasant thing about the whole experience was the friendly bartender who didn't complain when I didn't order a cocktail but stood over in his bar area and enjoyed an after dinner cigarette (which is the only smoking area in the place). Considering that I paid with tip approx. $50.00 for two buffet dinners with beverage and no cocktails (This amount after a local's discount) I was very disappointed in my visit. But the trick's on them because I had just moved into the area to work front desk at one of the Myrtle Beach Blvd. hotels and have kept plenty and I mean hundreds of people from making the same mistake I made this past summer. Sometimes it just pays to pay attention to the task at hand guys, and provide the very best food, service and atmosphere.(this place is very loud and disruptive).

We make sure we eat and Crabby Mikes every time we go to the beach - at least 5 times a year! The buffet is the way to go - you can't beat the selection OR the quality - great crab legs and the clams are my favorite! The bar is a great place to wait to be seated!

Very disappointed. Fish was curled up from cooking to fast in too hot oil. Oysters underdone. Small shrimp. Small scallops both not very flavorful. I got a small platter which has the same items as the buffet. Decided I would like to upgrade to the buffet for $3 more. Waitress asked the manager - he said no.!!

Nothing like customer service - glad he didn't start Walmart!

Overall the whole experience was lousy. My aunt came from England and this was our only seafood at Myrtle Beach all year.

Don't go there. Over-rated. Go to Murrell's inlet (Original Calabash) or Bennetts buffet.

Better than some of the other seafood buffet places in Myrtle Beach. Food quality was top shelf, and nobody hawking timeshares, either :)...... maybe they were off that evening.

Back to the food, the crab legs were the best of any we have had in the Myrtle Beach area. Everything else was just as good, and the service was great, too.

As with every place, bring coupons and get there early.

We eat here every year and on the first night at the beach. We go early for quick seating.

We use the coupons for x-tra off since it is pricey.

The wide selection helps the price not seem as bad.

The selection is mind-boggling. If you leave here hungry it's your fault.

Dined at Mike's 2 nights in a row. This was our first time at Myrtle Beach and could have scouted more but the goal was to enjoy fresh seafood (not frozen, fried Sam's Club "seafood" -read Herrons of Duck, OuterBanks, NC). Found delicious food that was worth the wait. Lots of fun in the wait line for the kids and adults with conversation, DJ and events. Family oriented, busy, noisy, had to buy the T-shirt. Will definately return.

Crabby Mikes is the best all you can eat seafood restaurant in Myrtle Beach !!!!! We've gone every year since it opened. Timing is everything when it comes to seating. Look at it like this, many people loves Mikes. How many people remember the restaurant that burnt down, so Crabby Mikes could be built on that spot. It was good but Mikes is the best in Myrtle Beach.. See ya in August!

The Alaskan King Crab legs are awesome!! If you dont eat crabs or seafood they have other food like baked spaghetti, french fries, chicken and chicken noodle soup. They also have great desserts like soft serve ice cream, brownies and cookies. The staff is polite and friendly. I really recommend going there and eating. It is the best calabash in Myrtle Beach.

I wrote an average for the food because the Hush puppies were good.... but it took 45 minutes to get seated then when we did... my 13 year old daughter's buffet was 13 or 15 dollars. She would never eat that much food. So we left.
