Love this place and have been going for 3 years. Best Crab Legs I have found. Awesome coconut creme pie and chocolate creme pie. The Blue crab bites and alligator bites are the best.

Went to Crab Catchers after reading the good reviews and we were not disappointed. We had broiled shrimp and crab cakes and both were delicious. We enjoyed our evening so much we went back again before leaving the beach.

I've been there around 3 different times and it is well worth the 8 hour drive for the deep fried corn on the cob......can't wait to get there this year...

I'm a picky picky person when it comes to eating out and this was WONDERFUL... great food, great prices, great service. we ate outside on the water. it was exactly what you imagine when you think of a good old country restaraunt on the water. we got a cold seafood dip with warm tortilla chips to start.. DELICIOUS. I got the scallops, grilled. they were amazing (so much better than the 4 $30 scallops in high end places) they were huge and I had to take half of them home. My mom got the crawfish and she said she hasn't had it that good since she lived in Texas. highly recommend and we're actually going back tonight to get food to go.

My friends and I ate lunch here. Our waitress was Jessica. She was outstanding!!! She helped us with our choices of food as well as giving us pointers about places to go and things to do in the Little River/Myrtle Beach area. We would highly recommend Crab Catchers to enjoy excellent sea food and the atmosphere of watching the boats passing by on the Intercoastal Waterway.

We ordered a fried shrimp dinner and a scallop sandwich without bread. Both were good except the shrimp dinner was served with a almost ice cold baked potato and 2 hush puppies. 2 hush puppies? For the price most places serve a pile of hush puppies and how hard is it to serve a hot baked potato? We will never go back. Just not worth the money.

We went to Crab Catchers yesterday during our last day in Myrtle Beach based on the recommendation of a local. It was pretty easy to find and when we got there it appeared to be a dive. We got in and were seated immediately - this was about 2-3pm on a Monday, so there you go - and Ariel, our server, was great. The food was very fresh; wife got the shrimp sandwich (minus bread) and my son and I got the soft shell crab sandwiches. While the seafood itself was great, and the fried corn and fries were also good, as were the homemade pies - the real shocker came from the pricetag. We felt that for the *amount* of food we got, the price was exhorbitant at over $70 for LUNCH. The food and service, ambience and location were excellent - but the price tag alone will keep me from returning. I can't justify that cost for a dive, no matter how great the food is.

After reading some reviews about Crab Catchers I was excited to try something other than an all you can eat Buffett . My family of seven entered the restaurant and waited to be seated and waited and waited... No one ever greeted us. Finally flagged down a server and asked her if we needed to seat ourselves. She said someone would come to seat us. Again we waited, waited, waited... Then we LEFT!!! I don't mind a wait especially for some good seafood but I do expect to be acknowledged in some form. A simple smile?? Hello?? We will be right with you guys? Can't comment on the food but if it was anything like the hospitality it would be POOR. This was a very disappointing experience for my family.

I was told about crab catchers by friends that have relocated to holden beach. My sister and I were visiting north myrtle and decided to give it a try. Not real impressed with the way they greet you--they don't--you have to go find someone and let them know you are there. The biggest drawback to me was the smoke. It is a bar-like setting, but there is enough space to have a non-smoking section....they do not have one. Sc is behind when it comes to smokefree policies in public places. Now for the food.....oh my gosh it"s great! the seafood gumbo was out of this world! they should put it over rice and call it seafood creole. At first, I thought the prices were too much, but after I had my meal, I was more than satisfied. I even put up with the smoke and went a second time in 4 days! the first time, I had fried shrimp/fried flounder combo. The second time I had fried shrimp only. The shrimp is butterfly shrimp and lightly breaded (i'm southern). My sister had the same thing, only she requested grilled shrimp and flounder. Both of us thought the food was the best we've tasted in years! please make a non-smoking section and we'll be 100% satisfied! and yes, it's rustic, but i'm a health educator and a germ freak and I thought it was clean.

If you're looking to have a cold beer on a hot day overlooking the water, this is the place. Most dishes are deep fried but I think they will also do grilled for you too. I had the flounder fish tacos. They were only okay. The fish was kind of meager. They were dressed with shredded cheese and iceberg lettuce. The menu said they were supposed to have mango salsa but I didn't taste any. My husband had a crab cake sandwich, fried corn and hushpuppies with cinnamon butter that comes in a container on the side for dipping the hushpuppies in. Yum. Good crab cake. Light. Good flavor. No frills.

Just what I expect at a real seafood restaurant. Not a fancy place but has the charm of eating on the intercostal waterway. New England Clam Chowder is my wife's favorite. Watched them cleaning fresh Grouper and Triger Fish on the deck while we were there. We live outside Philadelphia and recently purchased a home in Calabash, NC. Tried many of the places in Calabash but Crab Catchers is our favorite. Fresh fish sandwiches with lightly breaded house cut French Fries can't be beat. Had my own restaurant in Langhorne, PA for 20 years and I know great places to eat and Crab Catchers is one.

I see where many of our northern friends complain about the fried seafoodmand then complain about the little amount of breading!! Remember the old saying: "When in Rome ..." That's what we Southerers like - fried seafood with light breading!! They actually knock the excess breading off of the seafood before cooking. I live in Nags Head, NC and I've started cooking my own seafood like that and people love myne. There are several mentions of no atmosphere! If you don't see atmosphere here, you ain't going to see it anywhere!! I like all of the food there especially the Seafood Gumbo - it's bright red and hot!! The oysters, shrimp, and everything there is good!! If some of you don't like their seafood, there is a Red Lobster somewhere close and remember "Delta id ready when you are!!"
