GO..... we found we had to stop by the restaurant to make reservations. Did not receive return call to vm msg .. perhaps b/c it would have been an LD call to my mobile? BEST restaurant ..... we ranked above Collectors, also excellent. Collectors is significantly more expensive.

All we can say is "wow" for Ciao! Chose this restaurant based on some good online reviews...so happy we did. Limited seating - call for reservation! We saw many walk-ins turned away on a Monday night. Joe, our waiter, was extremely helpful in recommending entrees to satisfy our appetites. Hubby is a lasagna fiend and was not disappointed. I had the nightly special - a swordfish scampi over sundried tomato/spinach risotto. Everything was simply delicious. Definitely a MUST when in Myrtle Beach!!

We visited this restaurant twice in a matter of 2 weeks. First time was with the girls. Food and service were excellent. I brought my husband back to Myrtle Beach 2 weeks later and had to come back. He ordered the lamb which he said was out of this world. Make sure you call ahead for reservations because it is not a large place. The hostess, waiters and waitress were all very efficient. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Myrtle Beach.

This was by far one of the best restuarants my family and i have eaten at in Myrtle Beach and we've been going for almost 20 years now. i'd go as far as saying it's the locals best kept secret. The atmosphere is small and cozy with its family run charm. Our server was very imformative and had great suggestions on what to order starting with apt. and going straight through to dessert. All of the dishes were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. They have a wonderful wine selection too and unlike most places they weren't over priced. its a great place to enjoy good food and family conversation. my only suggestion is to make a reservation, especially if you have a larger group cause it is a smaller place. Can't wait to go back next year!

We made a reservation based on comments from this site, so we walked right in. Nice small family owned restaurant with professional waitstaff. Great food. If you want to be away from the 'tourist traps' definately treat yourself to this fine dining.

My family and I ate at ciao for the first time this year. I have never been so impressed by an italian restaurant in my entire life. I am italian and I love to cook and certainly my italian food is the best (lol). The food here was excellent, better than I have eaten at any restaurant. There were six of us and we all ordered something different. Everything was great. The portions were huge. The restaurant is small and full of atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Our waiter was joe and he was awesome. I don't think I can wait until next year to go back.

WOW so glad we were told by a local to try this restaurant. Tried earlier this year but they were packed so our next trip we made a reservation. Best Italian we have found on the beach. Might be a small place but like they say Great things can come in small packages. Wait staff is just wonderful and caring. We look forward to getting back in a couple of months for more wonderful Italian food. Have to say a Hidden Gem on the beach.

After going to Myrtle Beach for 20 years, we found Ciao's! What a waste of 19 years. This is one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten in. The food is fantastic and plentiful....lunch for the next day. It is authentic and cooked perfectly, Our waiter, Joe, was friendly, knowledgeable, and quite atuned to our needs. The price of our meal was extremely reasonable. This is a small place, seats around 50, but they do accept reservations. You won't be sorry if you choose Ciao's.

The food at this restaurant was so delicious! I had the chicken Marsala and loved it. A large portion of bread and your choice of soup or salad come with most meals. The house salad, an Italian Vinaigrette, was great. Service was very attentive. It's a small restaurant and it was crowded with a wait but worth it I'd say. I can't wait to go back for lunch.

This is the best Italian restaurant I've been to so far in Myrtle Beach. The fettucine alfredo with chicken was wonderful as was the dessert (mango sherbert with chocolate - sounds weird but it was great). The waitress was very patient and understanding as I asked for a different table as the first table was too close to another (loud) party. That is the only downside to the restaurant - its small size. The second table was fine. I am already looking forward to another dinner out at Ciao's.

Ciao was recommended by our Conceirge, and we were pleased with the excellent food and attentive service by Joe, our waiter. Our portions were large, and the sauce on my pasta side was just to my taste. Although the owner is Albanian and the chef Greek, and while we hope to find home made pasta when we dine Italian, we could not fault this great little spot. While it was small and a bit crowded, we were disinclined to linger beyond completion of our meal, and took our Cannoli home with us!

After reading many reviews of this restaurant, we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! Everything everyone else said was right on the money. We went in early to avoid the Friday night rush. We were glad that we did, as the restaurant filled up quickly. They do take reservations. Not a bad idea as the dining area is not huge. Our waiter was a little short in the personality department, but serviced us fairly well. They brought fresh bread and dipping oil to the table. It was great! One of the other waiters told us that the basil they used in the oil was home grown by one of their customers. The olive oil was good quality as well. We ordered an appetizer. We got the crab stuffed portabello mushroom. It was topped with a lemon cream sauce that was out of this world. Could this meal get any better? Yes. There were four of us, and we all ordered different entrees. My husband had the veal lemone'. It came with a side of spaghetti marinara. It was wonderful. (I tasted it.) I ordered the veal Ciao. It was breaded veal fried and topped with zuccchini, roasted red peppers and topped with cheese. It was served with spaghetti marinara. It was fabulous. They gave me three huge pieces of veal. I had to bring some of it home. My friend had the lobster ravioli, in a creamy marinara sauce. She said that it was the best she had ever eaten. Her husband had the special, which was a grouper florentine. It was parmesean encrusted and served over spinach and finished with a lemon butter sauce. He really enjoyed it. To top it all off, we had the tirimisu. The BEST I have ever eaten. My friend also had a decaf cappacino which he said was also great. From start to finish it was definitely one of the best places I have ever eaten. I would definitely come back when in Myrtle Beach. A superb dining experience! Forget the run of the mill eateries. Give this place a try! You will not be disappointed!

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The food was excellent! The eggplant was the closest we have had to my mother-in-law's recipie. The Chocolate Chip Cannolli was out of this world! It is small but that creates an intimate setting. Our waitress Rachael was a real pleasure. Hopefully, she'll come back again in the summer so we can request her next year.We ended up taking a portion of our entrees home so it's like getting two meals in one. This is a not to be missed dining experience!

Great restaurant! Don't pass on the soup or the desserts. However, that means you'll probably end up taking some of your entree' home for lunch. Our waitress, Rachel, was attentive and helpful with selecting the perfect menu items. This restaurant is a local favorite based on the interactions I heard as people entered the restaurant and went to be seated near their friends. It was also a family friendly restaurant with kids and adults carrying on as families do when they are having a good time over a meal. At any rate, this is a great restaurant and I'm thankful to this website for listing them. We would never have noticed them just driving up 17. Thank you!

This is the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We discovered it a couple of years ago and it is always on our 'must visit' list whenever we're in town from Canada. The eggplant parmesan is probably one of the best things we've ever eaten. The wine list is extensive and the service is always fantastic. Be sure to make a reservation - this little gem fills up quickly.

The food at Ciao's is first class! It is the best Italian food we have eaten in MB and the prices are very reasonable for the quailty of the food. The pastas are excellent with terrific home made sauces all served by a very friendly and helpful staff. Try their "specials" which provide a great option from the regualr menu..........they are very creative in what they offer. The wine list is very well priced with some good choices This place should be on all locals and vistors "must visits"

Their specials are always delicious, menu items are wonderful and the servings are large, and the service is warm and friendly. The artichoke appetizer is the best thing I've seen on a restaurant menu in years. I eat here frequently and have never been disappointed. Be aware that you can call in and they will have your order ready to pick up as well.

We discovered this restaurant through restaurant.com. We were extremely pleased. It is a small restaurant and they have given it as much atmosphere as the size will allow. Our food was wonderful as was our waitress. Our courses followed one after the other and no empty tea glass for my husband. Their Walnut Spinach Ravioli was our favorite. The entrees range in price from $12.95 to $25.95. The Tiramisu is out of this world!! Thanks Ciao for a delightful evening!!

If you order nothing else here, you must try the stuffed portabella mushroom. It is absolutely amazing, and the lemon cream sauce is to die for! Absolutely NOTHING like your typical stuffed mushroom. We also tried the walnut & spinach ravioi and chicken Ciao which were both cooked to perfection and arrived hot and fresh at our table. The house dressing is light and flavorful. Make sure you ask for Tracy as your waitress -- you won't be disappointed. She was very attentive to detail. We had always dined at another extremely popular Italian restaurant, but this is definitely our new favorite. Don't miss this place! You won't be disappointed!

As an Italian I tend to be extremely picky when it comes to food. CIAO far exceeded any expectation I could have ever imagined. The food was absolutely AMAZING. This is a MUST when visiting The Beach.

We found this by accident as it was a Friday night and everything was packed. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Our group had a cross section of pasta and seafood dishes and to a man we were overly impressed with the quality and the quantity of the dishes.
