Review: After reading the great reviews below, I can't believe that I ate at the same restaurant as those below. We did not have a good experience at Chucks. The atmosphere was great, the server was great, but the food was aweful and overcooked. I've had better steaks at Shoney's. We were a party of 12 golfers, and each ordered something different. Not one of us enjoyed our steaks. Those who ordered their prime rib "medium rare" got a puddle of blood. Those who ordered their sirloins "well done" got a burned lump. And unfortunately, those were about the only two choices you had. They don't have a large selection of cuts of meat, and the cuts we got were not good. The salad bar and bread were good, but you go to Chucks for a steak. With so many choices in the Grand Strand area, I don't think I'll ever go back to Chuck's.

Review: I have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach since 1985, but finally got to visit Chuck's this month, 8/2007. I can honestly say that the food and service was among the best I have ever experienced at a resturant anywhere. I saw a complaint in another review concerning the plastic cups...geez. I suppose I must be a bit of white trash since it didnt bother me a bit. Great food, superb service. If you can, ask for Jason, he treated us quite well.

Review: Chucks can compete with any high end steakhouse around the country. They are one of the few places when you order your steak medium or medium rare it comes out RIGHT. And the salad bar is to die for. If you enjoy a nice cut of steak this needs to be on your list as a must.

Review: We travel to Myrtle Beach several times a year and Chuck's is one place we never miss! We are always seated immediately, have had fine service, and the food is wonderful. Never been disappointed! Our last trip we ate at several of the theme restaurants in the are and Chuck's was comparable in price but the food was much better!! The shrimp scampi is to die for!!

Review: My family and I have been vacationing in MB for about 8 summers now. The past 2 years we have made Chuck's a "must" place to dine. Well worth the cost of an excellent dinner! We even purchase gift certificates for friends that we know are visiting MB. You won't be sorry you stopped for dinner!

Review: This is a good restaurant, not necessarily a great one. They do not offer a boneless ribeye, which is somewhat surprising since this is a classic steakhouse. The prime rib is okay, but not nearly as good as you would think. I've gone here maybe three times over the last 10-13 years, and each time they don't seem to get the prime rib cooked right. It's usually a tad too done, and just the overall quality isn't as good as what you would see at a Chestnut Hill or Cagney's or Flamingo Grill. The prices are way too high. They're just not proportional for the amount of food you receive. The menu isn't overly diverse. I'll probably go back here five or six years down the road, but not any time soon. If they would lower their prices, give more attention to detail with their food, and expand their beef menu, they would get some extra points in my book.

Review: Wow! What a surprise we had. Our first visit to Myrtle Beach was 3 years ago and we both felt like eating a steak so we ventured in to this non-assuming restaurant called Chuck's without knowing what to expect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the people who waited on us were wonderful about recommendations and suggestions. Our steaks were perfectly prepared, garnished, and presented and the secret spices they use made our taste buds very happy.

Each time we have returned to Myrtle Beach we go to Chuck's for their great happy hour and have a mouth-watering meal. Our vacation would not be complete without it!

Review: Chuck's Steak House is a Myrtle Beach tradition. The food is amazing- I think the best item is the surf and turf: grilled lobster tail and top sirloin! Truly decadent! The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. With a great wine list, we thoroughly enjoyed our night out as a couple! Every time we go, we also enjoy taking a tour around the restaurant to check out the family photos and wildlife relics. As a visitor of the beach for over 25 years, I have watched the chain restaurants come in and really detract from the uniqueness of Myrtle Beach. Chuck's remains unique and has never left me disappointed.

Review: Hands down the best steaks on the beach. The menu has a wide variety of items that fit everyones needs. They have a very friendly staff that took care of all our needs. Great atmosphere and what a wonderful view of the inter-coastal waterway. I am a long time customer of Chucks and it seems that every time I revisit it gets better and better. I recommend eating at Chuck's to anyone that wants to sit down and enjoy a well prepared meal in a very classy, rustic atmosphere. I give chucks 5 stars all around!!!

Review: Chuck's is our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. We now live here and go on a regular basis. One of the reasons we like it, is that it is open on Sunday. You can make reservations here as you can't many places. The salad bar is fantastic! You could just have it for a meal alone (one reviewer said it was not good and compared it to Shoney's, not so in anyway. Hamburgers are the best in town and the steaks are tops too. Chuck's has one of the best wait staffs in town. Fast, efficient and polite. Yes the building is old but the way it is decorated makes up for that. It is well maintained and always clean. If you go tell them Pete and Sue sent you. No I don't own Chuck's or work there. I did not get paid to write this review either, we just love to go there, we always feel welcome there

Review: I was first impressed with the decor and ambience of the restaurant. The service we recieved was quick and friendly. I like the quality of the meals we recieved but would like to see some healthy choices, such as a low carb option. I do make sure to eat here each year at least once when I am in town golfing and will be there again.

Review: My husband and I went to Chuck's for the first and last time last night. The server wasn't very timely for much of anything. I ordered a well done 8oz sirloin steak, that at best, was medium to medium rare. The server had to stopped by me for us to recieve a refill on our water and she never noticed if we needed any refills of our sodas. so, on top of the steak not being cooked properly mine nor my husbands had hardly any flavor at all. None the least to say we will never go in again to pay the prices for food that wasn't worth the price nor worth the tip they request you to leave a server that doesn't do much to earn it.

Review: After many years of coming to Myrtle Beach, we finally tried Chuck's Steakhouse. For a "no frills" meal, it was a little pricey. We get the same quality of steak at Texas Roadhouse, with better service, better salad, and less $$$. The salad bar is not-at-all special; and for the price of the meal, I would have rather been served a salad. The menu encourages first time visitors to order the "Super Sirloin". I regretted it. There was absolutely no taste to it. My husband said his filet was good. The service was timely enough, but the server was unfriendly and not at all helpful. The interior atmosphere of the restaurant is nicer than one would expect from seeing the exterior, quite pleasant actually, EXCEPT for the music. It was nothing that we ever heard before, and didn't fit the theme of the restaurant at all. Actually, it was annoying, ruining what would have otherwise been a nice atmosphere. With all the good places to get great steaks and service in Myrtle Beach, I see no reason to ever return to Chuck's Steakhouse.

Review: Always visit Chucks everytime we go down to Myrtle Beach because they have the absolute BEST teriyaki steaks and french onion soup in the nation. We visited on Aug. 19, 2006 during the infamous restaurant row rush time and as always were seated immediately, the server was very polite and accomodating, and our food was fast and delicious. The atmosphere in Chucks is nice, and the service is excellent. Definitely the hidden gem of restaurant row.

Review: Chuck's has always been a part of my Myrtle Beach experience for years now. I look forward to it almost as much as getting to the beach. I feel like I am escaping into a rustic mountain lodge when I step through the doors. But of course the food is the reason I keep coming back. Every dining experience I have had at Chuck’s has been a real delight and I will certainly look forward to many more to come. And I always pass on my secret to grateful friends visiting Myrtle Beach -- none have been disappointed yet. Thanks Chuck’s for some first class memories.

Review: After a short waiting period for a table, we were seated with our 2 small children. We waited for the waiter to take our order and were offered to go to the salad bar. I was shocked because I always remembered the salad bar to have quite a selection to choose from. This one had very little and really was not very appetizing. We had our small salads and began our long wait for our food that never did arrive. we advised the manager of this and he did not seem very alarmed he told us that our dinners would arrive shortly! After waiting for 1 hour for our food, we advised him that we could not wait any longer. He charged us for the salad bar and soda and it came to $30.00! We paid the bill but we refuse to ever visit this restaurant again. We believe the manager should have handled this differently. We may have come away with a better feeling.

Review: I went to Chucks almost ten years ago and was impressed. So I kept telling my husband that we simply had to go there and check it out. We went to dinner there for my birthday and really hoped it would be a special occasion. Boy, was I disappointed! For the price of this restaurant, you would expect it to be semi-fine dining. You certainly wouldn't expect to be drinking out of red plastic Coke cups and visiting a salad bar. I felt like I was eating at Shoneys. Also the building is old and the floor upstairs is creaky and kind of scary. It was certainly NOT what I remembered. Now every time my husband and I go out to eat, he makes fun of me for raving about Chucks. It's an ongoing joke between us now.

Review: We always make Chuck's our first visit as soon as we get to the beach. The 14oz. sirloin is wonderful, salad bar is the best, and a ice cold 22oz draft always starts things off. Hands down the best steak on the Grand Strand.

Review: This is our most favorite place for steak. Great service and food quality.

We make Chuck's a must stop every visit to Myrtle Beach.

We order the 10oz. Filet migon and Chuck's Big Beer (28oz). The best seat in the house (in my opinion) is under the moosehead. We have never been disappointed at Chuck's.
