Very disappointed especially after seeing the impressive menu and the various dinners at high prices. My wife and I ordered salmon and crab cakes and both were very much below average. The atmosphere was fine and the service was OK but very impersonal and almost not friendly. Will never go back or recommend this restaurant.

This place has great food and great owners. I am not into trying new things but I am glad I did. I have a friend who is good friends with Trina and Paul and Paul cooked us a private dinner one night. Very good food and very friendly people. Don't let someone else's review turn you off this place. It would be a shame you miss a chance eating their food.

I can only imagine how disruptive and rude the family who wrote such a bad review of this remarkable restaurant must have been. That's no excuse for the language used by the owner, but this is a small place and 20 people showing up without a reservation would have been very difficult to seat. Add to that a confrontation which was probably rude and demanding, and it's easy to see how the owner preferred for the people to leave than to seat them in her restaurant. This is without a doubt one of the best meals I have ever been served anywhere. DO NOT let that bad review keep you away. Consider the source and realize she probably got what she had coming to her (minus the bad language which was, again, uncalled for).

We have been following Chef Trina around the Myrtle Beach area for 17 years. It is a treat to go to the Chive Blossom. The food is consistently excellent. Only complaint is the noise level when they are really busy which is almost always!

Our family always vacation at pawleys island for the last 35 years. We were there last week on the12 of august. It was an awful experience. Making a long story short, we arrived at 6:15, 20 people, sitting outside. After 90 mintues of not having our food served, having 4 small children we questioned the owner. After lots of talking and explaining herself she said get your shit and get the f...out of her resturant. Shocked. Embarrassed and having our grandchildren hear her words was the worst thing I have ever experienced. My daughter who she was speaking to was 8 months pregnant and had her small children with her!i I would never recommend that resturant ever..

We were vacationing at Pawleys, as we have for many years. Our experience at Chive Blossom was aweful because the owner was drunk and belligerant. The food is very good. We had lunch there the day before this experience. It took our waiter 1 hour and 15 minutes to put our order in to the kitchen. We had asked for the toddlers pasta to be brought out as soon as possible when we ordered. When we complained about the very slow service, the drunk owner went crazy and started screaming and cursing at our party in front of small children. It was very bizzare and we will not return.

We have been vacationing in or around Pawley's Island for three years now and Chive Blossom is a must do on our list. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. We find ourselves commenting often throughout the year about what a great time and meal we had. Counting the days until we return in August

My husband and I discovered this restaurant last year while on our annual vacation at Pawleys Island. We are "foodies" and this restaurant can hold its own with the best. Wonderful, sometimes unusual, tasty and well presented food, very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff, pleasant atmosphere... the only downside is that the noise level can get rather high making it sometimes difficult to have a quiet conversation. This is our favorite place on the island - didn't even bother to drive into Charleston this year....

I dined at the Chive Blossom 6/19, 6/17, and 6/15! My husband and I travel the world as enthusiastic foodies and I would recommend the Chive Blossom to anyone who wants to enjoy excellent, regional cuisine in an energetic bistro atmosphere. The menu is witty and creative while respecting the traditions of the perfect, unadulterated bowl of She-crab soup. It surprised, delighted and satisfied.

This restaurant is an absolutel favorite of ours. The restaurant is bright and cheerful and very inviting. The servers are always pleasant and very knowledgeable about the dishes they serve. The food is out of this world prepared with fresh herbs, wonderful oils and quite unique compared to other restaurants in the area. The soups are delightful, the entrees always changing and each one better than the other. We take guests there every chance we get. Keep up the good work, Trina!!!

This restaurant is the best anywhere , there raspberry vinegar dressing is wonderful, I went to Franks outback and thought I would get the same dressing but I really don't know what it was but a lot of oil and a smear of raspberry in the bottom of a cup of grease,it was so greasy it made me sick, Chive Blossom restaurant is the best in Pawleys, the owners take great pride in their meals. I won't go back to Franks. I'll stick with the best The only thing they could improve is the use of fresh shrimp instead of frozen, and they need a bigger area, but I still don't care the food is so good.

We are regular visitors to PI each May and the Chive Blossom is a "must" on our dining list. Trina's adventurous spirit is shown in all her soups as well as her signature Scallop Cakes asnd Orzo Cakes in Tomato Broth. We have not yet visited their new location on the N. Causeway but know that whatever she does in the kitchen will be memorable--in the best way.

They've moved to a new restaurant and Trina's husband, chef PaulKelly, has left Frank's to come add his delicious touches to an already mouthwatering menu. I am working my way through the entire menu but I haven't had a an unpleasant dish yet! My favorites are the Crab Crepes & the Scallop Cakes. The she crab soup is awesome, too!

The Chive Blossom recently moved to 85 North Causeway (the old Orobosa's) and expanded their menu a bit. Still delicious.

My fav's are the She Crab Soup, Crab Crepe or Scallop cakes.

For lunch try the roast beef on ciabata bread with au jus dip.

Actually, I haven't had a bad meal yet there.

Trina & her husband P.K. did a wonderful job renovating the place, it looks fabulous. They have a great staff, too.

So worth the drive from north myrtle. The best she crab soup ever. This was our first visit, it will not be our last. Servers, sharon and cornella were wonderful. I never recommend restaurants lightly. We work to hard for our money, this place gives you the full experience for the price you pay. Trina, congrats..

If you've tried all the other upscale restaurants in Pawleys Island, this little place is wonderful. Last night I had the treat of going to the Chive Blossom for a wine and food tasting party. The wine was fabulous but the food was even better.

We started with eggplant and roasted pepper salsa served on toasted french bread. We then had pan seared duck breast, Lobster and shrimp crepes, oven roasted medium rare rack of Lamb in demi glaze. Finally a homemade chocolate souffle cupcake. I was in heaven! What a treat.

The chef and owner "Trina" introduced herself and explained the pairing of each wine with the dish. The service was excellent. Its small but filled with simple elegance and not overpriced.

Remember that charming little restaurant off the beat and path You either stumble upon it,or through word of mouth discover a locals favorite. Well thats what my wife and I found at the Chive Blossom.

A brick patio leads to cozy well appointed white tableclothe dinning room. We finally found a place we did not have to shout order out!

We met the chef and owner(always a good sign) who oversees every detail in the preperation of our meal.

We had a tasty black bean eggroll appitizer, Grouper, scallops, and a homemade chocolate desert cake warmed. My mouth is watering just thinking about our meal.

It was truley our best dinner in Pawleys Island!

If weather permits, sit on the patio and plan on staying a while. The soup sampler as an appitizer is outstanding; if it's not on the menu, be sure to ask your server. Try any special that Trina and Gary may have invented. Don't expect to rush in and out, it's not that kind of place. There's usually only one person in the small kitchen and each dish is prepared to order. Don't expect this restaurant to be a local secret much longer.

WHAT A GEM THIS LITTLE PLACE IS!!!

I am almost tempted to not comment to keep it all to ourselves, but have to share our experience!

Very tiny place, with great ambiance....

The food is outstanding....the scallop cakes and grouper specials are not to be missed.

This food is of much higher caliber than practically anywhere else on the beach.

It can take a while to get served, as there is only one person in the kitchen usually... But its well worth the wait. Enjoy!!!
