Reopened as Mexico Lindo's. We had "A Little of Everything" to try some different items. The homemade chips are good and the salsa is great with just a little spice to it. The beef that they use is fantastic and in very generous portions in the burrito, enchilada, and taco. My favorite was the Chili Relleno. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and fast.

This was one of my favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants. I'm a local and hated that it was closed a few months ago and now is something else. Haven't been to whatever it is now.

I go to Chalupas every year when I come on vacation with my family.(Actually a few times during our stay it's our go to place). The restaurant has a very family fiendly enviorment. The staff is always polite and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and the restaurant is very nicely decoraded and well kept. We feel very at home. Our food was great and it was well priced. The menue is very extensive. It offers very authentic meals such as mojarras, carnitas and caldos but at the same time it too offers food that has been a bit americanized (TEX-MEX not like taco bell), and its all goood. The food was very freash and full of flavor. I had a Caldo de Camaron (a Shrimp soup) and it was great, don't be fooled the soup is huge and it's like a whole meal. My husband had the mojarra ( a whole friend tilapia) and my kids that don't really like too ethenic food stuck to the combination meals wich were awsome their enchiladas and chile rellenos are the best. We will keep coming back and I highly recomend the place.

The service is horrible, the food is terrible, and the restaurant itself is unclean. The ladies restroom was missing a toilet seat and there was no soap in either restroom (how do employees wash their hands after using the restroom?).

Absolutely the best Peach Margarita I ever had! The food was great and plentiful. My daughter had the steak fajitas and she absolutely loved them. I will definitely go back to this restaurant when I visit Myrtle Beach.

Can't beat the price for the food. Many locals recommended this place & we loved it. Lunch Buffet was great for the 8.00 price!!! Came back for dinner & had a great meal at an awsome value. All the mexican resturants near my home are so pricey so this place was a true find!!! Give it a try

I guess we hit a quiet time as there was no waiting and the service was excellent. We tried the "Little bit of everything" and made it about halfway through. The food was tasty, plentiful and inexpensive. We will definitely return next year on the annual trek south.

My family and I went to Chalupa's for mexican while vacationing in South Carolina. Not only were the fajitias the best we ever tasted, but I had a peach margarita that was excellent. We really enjoyed our dinner there and we will be back when we vacation in Myrtle Beach again.

We are locals and we visit here often. We love it. The food is excellent, a great variety and the service is great. We recently took some company with us to Chalupas. They really weren't sure about eating Mexican they said, but they were very impressed with the food. They couldn't seem to say enough good things about the place. Always good and we have never had a bad experience.

One of our very favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants. Try it you'll like it.

The BIGGEST mistake of out entire trip was going to Chalupa. My wife and I went in to eat and got seated right away. Once seated, the noise was unbearable coming from other sections of the restaurant. We waited FOREVER for a waiter to come to our table. about 15 minutes later FINALLY someone comes over to our table. He took our drink order and we asked for cheese dip . 15 more minutes later still no one AND THE PLACE WASN"T EVEN BUSY!!!!!!!! Avoid going to Chalupa unless you want to starve or if love crappy service!

We read this guide looking for a good mexican restaurant, and picked Chalupa. What a great place for mexican food. We were seated fast, served in a timely manner, and were well taken care of by our waiter. I had beef fajuita;s which were great, and other members in our party had chicken dishes, which were also great.Chips and salsa were fresh, and plentiful. We will be back here for every visit to Myrtle Beach.

This was the first time we ate here and loved it...They even made my husband and I something special.......The fastest and most courteous service we've experienced in a long time! The only complaint we had was that a bunch of children were allowed to run all over the place, disrupting us. Thank goodness, they left about the time we were served out food! We will definately be coming back!

If you want great Mexican food, this is the place. I eat there frequently for lunch and have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and prompt.

If you go anywhere during a dinner rush you should be prepared to wait, both to sit and to be served. If your server was too busy talking to other employees, I'm sure the management would like to be aware of that. They have always expressed concern about my satisfaction.

The atmosphere is good. It's relaxed and festively decorated. A bit noisy but not overwhelmingly. A great place to take the family or friends.

The restroom has always been clean and well tended.

This is one of very few restaurants here that I will recommend to others.

Visited on Monday August 6, 2007. The food was good and was delivered promptly. The waiter could have done a better job as it was not crowded yet, we ate early around 5:00. Not much atmosphere, but good value, the menu allows many choices. Although it was early and we were seated right away there was a lot of noise, yelling kids. It is an old building on Hwy 17 and there are no noise barriers, but I would rate the food better than average.

Our server NEVER came back to check on us. We waited and waited to see if she would ever come back to our table. She was too busy sitting on a chair at the bar and talking to the other employees. We finally got up to go pay and she never came to see if everything was fine. Don't waste your money. Spend it somewhere else where it's appreciated.

We went to Calupa based solely on the good ratings of this website. What a mistake! The food was average at best and the service was terrible. I had finished eating by the time my daughter was served. I never got a refill on my iced tea until I was finished eating. We were not alone.....the people at the table behind us got up and left because they waited 15 minutes and NEVER got waited on. The noise level in the restaurant was unbearable. We could not hold a family conversation at all due to the noise coming from other areas. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO IN THE RESTROOMS. They were so disgusting that I won't even describe them online. Let's just say people can't aim or flush. AWFUL!!!!!!!!

We have nothing but great things to say about Chalupa! They're located close to our home, and we've eaten there dozens of times. The employees always greet us with a warm smile and refer to us as "Amigos". They make the best mexican food at the beach!!! Ask for extra guacomole and don't forget to try the GRILLED chicken quesadillas - they're delicious! I also love their fajitas!!! You'd be crazy not to try Chalupa. =)

I ordered the Enchilada Supreme. The food was excellant. Of course, the salsa and chips were a plus. The quality of food was great and being a resident of Surfside Beach the prices were the cheaper than most of their Mexican Restaurant competitors. Everyone must try the cheese dip.
