My wife and I finally went to this restaurant after several years of passing by their sign. We found the food, specifically the filet mignon, to be very tasty and the service to be quite prompt. You won't be getting "bar food" at this roadhouse restaurant. The interior is very roomy and has an upscale feeling even though the prices are very much in line with the quality and amount of food provided ($23 for three "large" 3 oz. tenderloin pieces of filet mignon). Consider this restaurant to be of higher end quality and very much worth the price for the food and service provided. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a value-priced yet higher end restaurant. Give it a try and I think you'll be impressed.

My husband ate here on our first night @ MB. It was the best meal we had on our vacation! Our hotel (Breaker's) had a coupon for a free appetizer (Creamed Spinach Dip) - it was WONDERFUL! The salad was DELICIOUS with their homemade dressing/almonds! My husband ordered prime rib and I got the 3 fillet medallions - all done as ordered and delicious. We were so full we took 1/2 our meals back to the hotel for lunch the next day. Can't wait to go back!

The service and food are excellent at Carolina Road House. They have the best ribs of any restaurant I've ever been to and their house salads with a warm croissant are delicious. My wife and I are yearly Myrtle Beach visitors and we eat at Carolina Road House at least once, if not twice every time we're down there. By far the best Restaurant in Myrtle. We visited Myrtle Beach this past June and ate there twice and we're actually heading back to Myrtle tomorrow ..... we'll be sure to go again, can't wait!

I visit the Carolina Roadhouse every year while we are on Vacation. The food is great and the the service is beyond southern hospitality. I do not reccommend this roadhouse to anyone, if i did that i would never get a seat. So lets keep this a secret. I'm actually on my way to get a seat now 8-25-10 it's my birthday.I wish someone would open one in my town.

I have eaten at the Carolina Roadhouse numerous times during my beach vacations. Each and every time I have enjoyed my meal and experience to the fullest! Their house salad with their house dressing (warm bacon and honey mustard) is absolutely the best salad ever! You get HUGE portions for the prices. The filet mignon medallions (ordered med or med rare) MELT in your mouth. You can cut them with a fork! Their babyback ribs are mouthwatering. Their baked potato soup is a huge delicious appetizer and can easily be shared with another person. It does get crowded starting at around 5:30pm however. We tend to try to get there before then, otherwise there is a long wait. It can be a smidge noisy but no worse than any other "roadhouse" type restaurant. I love this place and I just wish we had one in WV!!

We ate at CRR for the first time last night. We were seated immediately (5pm) and our server was very good. Food was brought promptly, however I ordered the house specialty of prime rib and it was so tough and tasteless I could hardly chew it or cut it with the giant knife provided-also was not cooked as I ordered (medium rare) more like medium to medium well. Big disappointment. Saw another patron struggling to cut and chew his meat also. Steamed vegetables were just ok. house salad had too much iceberg lettuce but was otherwise very good-great house dressing. The croissant was to die for!! Spouse had filet medallions and shrimp combo-very good but the shrimp were heavy on the breading I guess to hide the fact that they were baby shrimps. I would return but never order the prime rib again

It's been two years (2008) since I last ate here with friends from Ohio, but we will be in Myrtle at the end of August 2010 and I felt the need to write a review. First off, the steaks were excellent. I am always hesitant to order steak at an unfamiliar restaurant because I feel that I can make them better and cheaper at home. This was not the case at the Roadhouse. I ordered the tenderloin medallions (medium and very tender) and they were superb. Everything else (salad, etc.) was good. Even though they were busy, the wait staff was attentive, unhurried and professional. By the way, if you order a steak well done anywhere, do not write a bad review, you deserve the shoe leather that you ordered. There's just one caveat to eating at the Roadhouse. It is very popular and very busy and very noisy (but a good, fun kind of noise). If you are in a hurry, do not even try to eat here (that's not a bad thing, I'm just trying to warn you). You can watch the kitchen staff preparing meals while you wait; it's fascinating! This is a bustling, popular and noisy restaurant. If you want quiet and intimate, go elswhere. After all, it is called a roadhouse for a reason. If you want to rub elbows, socialize and have fun, this is your place. I gave a below average for the length of time to seated and for the noise level, but this is not to be critical, it is beacause it is very popular (so be warned!) and very busy with a roadhouse type atmosphere. So go with your friends when you have time to just shoot breeze and catch up on all the gossip; you will havea good time!!

We had a party of eight and wanted to call ahead to see if there was a wait because they offer call ahead seating. Before leaving our house in Surfside we called to see if there was a wait and we were informed that at that time there was not. After leaving the house we called again about 10 minutes before we arrived at the restaurant and they still informed us there was not a wait, however, the girl on the phone was very unpleasant and talked very 'sassy' to us. I explained we had a party of 8 and didn't want to keep bothering her but it was our 2nd try that week to eat there and wanted to make sure we got our name in before there was a long wait. The hostess seemed very irratated by my call and said she couldn't do anything for me. Upon arriving (10 minutes after calling) we were told, with a smirk, there was a 80 to 90 minute wait. We then spoke to a manager (Chris Caufey) who was extremely understanding and concerned with our treatment. He went out of his way to seat us almost immediately and generously compted our appetizers. He was very appreciative of us informing him of our experience and was genuinly concerned and wanted us to make sure we had a pleasant experience. If Mr. Caufey had not have taken care of us as he did we would not have returned as there are many other fabulous restaurants to choose from. This happens to be one of our party's favorite places to eat and she eats there often but it is not worth enduring the snotty treatment from the hostess (same person on the phone). We would like to inform you of the quick solution offered to our party by your manager and want to let you know we will be dining there again only because of his service.

Want a steak under $30? Don't go here. Want service and hostesses that are friendly and act like they care? Never go here? Want a lot to choose from? Naah. I've been a loyal beach goer for many years and had never been to Carolina Roadhouse and walked out of there feeling like I wasted a night of my vacation. As soon as I got in there I felt a bad vibe, mostly from the slightly snobby chubby hostess who made me and my family feel like we were beneath her, but the menu was horrible and VERY over priced!!! Save yourself a night of your vacation, go to DAMONS oceanfront for dinner and spare yourself this place!!

Of all the great places to eat in Myrtle this is probably my favorite. Me and my family come every year and sometimes hit it up twice. Awesome prime rib and my wife loves the ribs. We just returned from seeing the Xmas Show on Friday. Having stayed almost next door, Bonnie the hotel clerk suggested the Carolina Road House. We were impressed from the moment we walked in. After a yummy nacho plate we were served with a great salad only to finish with a 14oz ribeye & shrimp platter for my wife. Our experience was so good Thursday evening we returned Friday evening in a driving rain storm. This time bacon cheese fries, potato soup, salad & the double slab of ribs did us in. The atmosphere, the hostess, the waitress & the food was top notch & worth every penny..

I just dined here for the first time and do not plan on returning. I expected much better food for the price. I ordered a fish entree and recieved overly breaded nuggets with not much fish. My husband ordered a steak that he did not enjoy at all. Overall the service was mediocre; she did her job, but our drinks ran out and she never asked if we were enjoying our food. For a restaurant that I've heard numerous good reviews of I was extremely disappointed.

Simply the best restaurant in Myrtle Beach. Starting with the salad...fantastic...the croissant is worthy for a trip back all by itself. We get the ribs everytime...you gotta get the double rack...what a bargain...one rack for like $20 and the 2nd rack is only $5 more....fall off the bone ribs...the best. Atmoshere is great....Guarantee you will love this place and come back every year...we have for the past 6 years and will be there again in 2010.

Carolina Roadhouse was the first place we ever ate on our very first trip to MB, and we go back every year because we love it so much. The menu is not huge but the food is very good. I like going for lunch and having one of their great sandwiches, but dinner is great there too. We go every year over Labor Day weekend, a very busy vacation time, and we never have to wait very long for a table. The waitstaff has always been amazing and the restaurant is always clean and seems to be run very efficiently. Prices are good, not the cheapest place to eat in the area but certainly affordable and within reason. The only way we could like this place more is if they had outdoor seating!

Considering all the good reviews, we were expecting a much better dining experience than we had this evening. None of the meals we ordered (6 in our party) were anything special. The onion rings were bland, the ribs a big disappointment, the prime rib sandwich a shaved meat with cheese meal, the poor boy only so-so and the steak medallions ok, but undercooked. The service staff acted like they would prefer to be anywhere. Overpriced for the quality. Not a restaurant we will consider returning to.

Looking for a steak place at MB...this is THE place to go. We were lookinfg for a good quality steak and after reading reviews here, we decided on Carolina Roadhouse. We were seated immediately. I had the filet and the wife had filet medallions. Both were cooked exactly as we expected - MED. The house salad is probably one of the best I have ever had. It comes with bacon, almonds, eggs, cheese and a house dressing - a mix of Honey Mustard & Hot Bacon. Service was excellent bordering on too fast. My wile was not done with her salad when the steak arrived. I'm not complaining, but thought it worth noting. This is our new steak place at MB. Want seafood...look at Lanrdy's.

I have been a loyal customer of carolina roadhouse for the past 8 years. I reside in winston salem nc but travel to myrtle beach often as an entertainer and have never eaten food as wonderful as this. The salad is superb, love the crossant rolls with honey butter. The bbq rotiserie chicken, is melt in your mouth. Cheese cake is the best the south has to offer. Ive had the pleasure of being waited on by "barb" a long time associate, many times. Her personality and laughter make the dinning experience even better.

Considering the tourist-trap area this place is located, it is the best food and service we've experienced this entire visit to SC (Charleston and MB). The prices were a bit higher than I would usually spend on dinning out (being a bit of a cheapskate), but the food and service was really excellent. The house salad was one of the best salads I've ever had. The balsamic dressing was great and the salad was very fresh and loaded with bacon and ham. The calamari was the most tender I've ever had. Lovely. The entree was quite tasty as well. It could have been a bit spicier for a creole style dish, but I do understand it's a tourist town, not NOLA. Overall, the best dining experience this vacation. I would go back. Get there before 5 PM if you don't want to wait for seating.

For at least the past 5 years, the Carolina Roadhouse in MB is a MUST for us! Out of all the restaurants in MB, the Carolina Roadhouse is the ONLY restaurant we talk about year after year, all year through, even as soon as we leave, we're saying that we have to wait a whole year to go there again! The steaks are never less then perfect, the burgers if you choose are delicious, and the dinner salad is . . . out of this world!! The atmosphere is very pleasant and the decor with open beam ceilings is very relaxing. Never having to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for a table, the all-around service is excellent. The Carolina Roadhouse in MB should not be missed!

Best restuarant at the beach!!! My families favorite place to go on every trip. The best chef salad you will find anywhere, but come hungry it makes huge seem small. Try the ranch dressing with it, trust me... i used to be a 1000 Island guy. And then there is the baby flounder, I can honestly tell you that I have been to many fish fries in my day and none of the fish I have ever had even comes close. And the burgers are as excellent as they are enormous! Every time we go the place looks packed but we are always seated and served quickly. We visit Myrtle Beach often and have for a long time, believe me when I tell you that the three best restuarants in all of Myrtle Beach are all within a few miles of each other and it starts at this one! Not really a romantic atmostphere but fun and inviting. Try it, you will be glad you did.

This is truly the BEST steakhouse in MB. I ordered the filet migon medium and it came out exactly how I like it. My wife and I ate their around 4:30pm to avoid the crowds. Luckily we did, when we were about to leave people were pouring in. They have alot of benches outside for people to sit while waiting, so you know they get busy at dinner time. Carolina Roadhouse does open for lunch at 11:00am if you would like to go early. If you by pass this place, you are absolutely missing out.

I actually used the Myrtle Beach Restaurant Reviews to choose Carolina Road House. I was not disappointed. The food was very good (I do like the salad and house dressing and the sticky croissants are marvelous!!). I ordered the prime rib sandwich on french bread and loaded baked potato. I was unable to finish; servings are very adequate and should fill the biggest of appetites. The service was very attentive; we were never in need of anything. I definitely will put this on my favorites to return to each time I'm in MB.

We went here on our last night in Myrtle Beach during our vacation in May. It was absolutely wonderful. We had the steak medalions, they were tender abd oh so good. The salad was superb and the croissants were delectable. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was impeccable. We will be back next year when we bring our our daughter and son in law. Give them a break from the Army.

We have eaten there many times and enjoy the food. The wait staff are attentive and pleasant but every hostess we ever had there is unfriendly to say the least and sometimes rude. They certainly don't make you feel welcome. We try to overlook that because once you get passed the hostess desk everything is fine. The Chefs Salad w/ hot bacon and honey mustard dsg. is delicious. Baked potato soup, yummy!

We had extra guest arrive and the staff made room for them in the same section. We had the most pleasant waitress you can imagine. Her name was Allison. She was absolutely wonderful. Tha food was awesome as usual. We are from Myrtle Beach and Carolina Roadhouse is our favorite restaurant.

We have enjoyed this place in the past and make a point to eat there each time we visit Myrtle Beach. In this case, our food was fine and served quickly but the staff was less than friendly. The hostess, in particular, was rude and even complained (loudly enough for us to hear) about the tip that another table left for their server. With so many restaurants in Myrtle Beach, you'd think the staff would at least be pleasant.

Quality of food: the salad was very nice, crisp and fresh, very nice dressing but running with oil. My wife had talapia (white fish) with rosemary breadcrumb covering, very fresh but cooked in far to much butter which drowned the flavour, the spinach could have been better if simplified. I had the hot rib sandwich with fries; far too much barbeque sauce, once again drowning the flavour of the beef. Fries: soft. The service was efficient, fast and justified the tip. The atmosphere was open plan log home, very nice indeed. Noise level, not intrusive. For those customers needing a full dinner you will not be disappointed but if you are watching what you eat due to being calorie conscience, beware.... oh, and the salt, drink lots......would we return, probably not........

We have been coming to Myrtle Beach for forty years, and one of our favorite restaurants is Carolina Roadhouse. Chris Causey, the manager, is very attentive, and the service is good. The portions are large, and the food ALWAYS is of good quality. My wife loves their salads, and I like their seafood and ribs. One problem is the long wait to get into the restaurant. It's that busy, even in off-season.

My granddaughter and I, from Florida, were visiting my brother, a local. Every time I go to Myrtle Beach, we go to The Carolina Roadhouse. Each time is an adventure! The wait was from 5 to 15 minutes, so we put our name on the list and waited. Within minutes, three spaces came available at the bar, so we sat there. This is not a norm for us, however, we were pushed for time and took the first available seating we could find.

Quickly and efficiently, we had drinks and good conversation, and just a few minutes after that, we had our salads. The salad and croissant are to die for! Then the meal came just before I finished my salad. An excellent pasta dish with shrimp, mushrooms and cheese in a buttery sauce -- yum, yum!! A lady sitting next to me asked what I had ordered because it smelled so divine. She said she was going to order the same thing. I told her she wouldn’t be disappointed. Although it was excellent, I could hardly eat any of it because I was so full from the incredible salad. I’ve had steak, shrimp and pasta dishes, and each one was made to perfection. My 9-year old granddaughter ordered chicken strips from the children’s menu. Evidently they were very good because she only had a few French fries left; she also devoured my croissant. My brother, who eats there often, ordered fried shrimp and a baked potato. The potato was huge, colorfully topped with bacon, chives and other yummies. During our Thanksgiving weekend, we were at numerous locations on the Grand Strand, and whenever anyone we were talking with asked my brother about good places to eat, he always suggested the Carolina Roadhouse.

I know on my next trip I’ll be back!

We do not live very far from Carolina Roadhouse and have taken clients and friends there on many occasions. After our daughter was born we had an extremely bad experience with the staff. We told the hostess we had a baby in a stroller, they put us in the smoking section and then told us we were going to have to wait another hour if we wanted a different seat. Then the waiter referred to the stroller as a fire hazard. I told the waiter that we had advised the hostess of the stroller he approached her about it, she proceeded to come to our table and lean down into my face and say "if you would've said you had a kid then i would have put you somewhere else" while gritting her teeth at me. Basically she called me a liar. Then they ordered us to get up from the table since we had a stroller or we would be asked to leave. We left. This was an extremely upsetting situation for me having just had a baby three weeks prior. Our clients were appauled. It was not uncommon for us to spend at least $100.00 plus on dinner with 4 adults. We reported the situation to the district manager who actually fired the people involved in the incident. He also sent us a gift certificate for our next visit. When we went to use the certificate our experience was completely different. However, the third time we went back we were made to wait almost two hours in December. Although the establishment was a little busy others were being seated in front of us. After that we haven't been back. We miss the food but we are not complainers and we like to go out to have a relaxing time. Not to fight to get through drunk golfers only to be humiliated for no better reason than "we have a kid". The last time she was old enough for a high chair and they still couldn't get it together. So we are done with Carolina Roadhouse. If you do not have kids by all means go the food is awesome I suggest the marinated sirloin, the baked potato soup, the salad and the prime rib.

After reading several reviews, my husband and I decided to check this place out! Boy, we are glad that we did. We both started out with the house salads w/hot bacon mustard dressing- DELICIOUS! We also ordered a basket of the honey croissants.. yummy! He ordered the ribs (HUGE!) and I ordered the grilled chicken w/cheese and ham. It was really wonderful. Also, our server Eric was great!!!! He said he was new, but you sure couldn't tell. We would definitely recommend this. The only complaint we have was the big bar in the center of the restaurant.. wish it had been off to the side instead.

We ate at the Carolina Roadhouse in July and our dinner was absolutely delicious. This was our third time here and definitely the best. My husband and I had steak and they melted in your mouth. My son had the 16 ounce prime rib and he said it was the best he ever had. The service was very quick and we did not have long to wait for our food. We called the restaurant in the afternoon for call ahead seating so we only had to wait 15 minutes, not an hour like the people that did not call ahead. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Myrtle Beach.

This from a man who cleans his plate. I usually order a hot appetizer since I have had surgery. There were no healthy choices. I ordered chili.,It taseted like Italian spaghetti sauce and had melted american cheese over the top. We would not go back. We did not eat fish or chili.

My wife gets seafood, and she has been pleased. As everyone mentions, the croissants are fabulous. The salads are above average. I have had better steaks a few times, but this restaurant is definitely worthy of repeat business. I wouldn't wait an hour for a seat at this place, however.

The food is horrible and overpriced. We would have had a better dining experience at Applebee's or even Burger King. The filet mignon (which was $27) was nothing but a charred, dry, thin ribeye. We thought that maybe it was just steaks and that they might be able to cook a decent fish. However the fish was dry, burnt and disgusting. Even the bartenders couldn't do their job, one of the margaritas had orange juice and no alcohol. Yet to my astonishment the place was full of people.

Whenever we come to Myrtle Beach this is the place we always have dinner the first night we are in town. Food is excellent, service is terrific. So many complain about the wait for a table. It is like most other places around evening meal time and for a beach resort area, what do you expect? We have never waited over 45 minutes. The trick is to get there about 5:00. However, if there is a wait, we look at it as an oppotunity to sip on a drink and watch TV. WE LOVE IT!!

We were seated promptly, waitress took our order from our group of 5. The salads came out and there were only four of five delivered. We finally got the other salad which were ok. Then we received 4 of five entrees. The 4 we received were bad. Dry, tasteless, prime rib, steamed veggies that were not hot or fully cooked. None of the meals were by any means hot. Actually, the salads were hotter. After we got the 4 meals and gave the poor reviews to our 5th forgotten entree person, she elected thankfully cancel her order. Would not go back if u paid me.

We ventured to the Carolina RoadHouse as it was recommended by some friends who live in Myrtle Beach. We went for the seafood, and we did not come away disappointed. The portions were larger than expected. The platters were moderately priced - about $17 for a combination platter. The flounder was excellent, and the shrimp were large and very tasty. The service was average, but the ambiance was nice in the large post and beam great room. After going to calabash our first night, then murrels inlet our second night, we were most satisfied on the third night of our trip with our visit to the roadhouse. We would recommend to anybody, and plan to go back on our next trip to MB. Enjoy.

My family loves this restaurant and it is always the first place we go on our annual Myrtle Beach vacation. However, we noticed a disappointing decline since last summer. My husband's prime rib, which he ordered rare, came well done. Our excellent server cheerfully took it away and brought him another one which was cooked correctly but was unusually fatty. My baked potato soup came with a skim on the top like it had been sitting around a while. We gave it another try on our last night at the beach. I did not want to get ribs again so got a tenderloin/fried shrimp entree. The meat was overcooked and the shrimp were soggy, and the garlic seems to be gone from the creamed spinach. I write this review in hopes that this restaurant does not just continue to coast on its popularity but maintains attention to detail and good food.

By far Carolina Roadhouse is the best restaurant in Myrtle! A few "MUST's" to try...... 1. Every salad comes with a honey buttered croissant, one is simply not enough, order a basket as an appetizer! 2. They have the best dressings, House is a hot bacon honey mustard.....awesome blue cheese, and their ranch had chopped up egg in it which was awesome. 3. My husband loves the ribs, He say's the meat falls right off the bone. 4. The creamed spinich is so wonderful. My favorite. We will be back!

While we waited we were looking over the menu and I noticed that all the steaks and chicken were served "charred." So that was a downfall for me since I don't like things burnt. When I asked the waitress if items can be cooked differently, she stated that the grill only cooked things one way. The one good thing is that they had a wide variety of food on there menu. The food was just about average and the prices were average for a steakhouse in Myrtle Beach. I would not go back to this restaurant. The food wasn't that good and the waits are way too long!

Our favorite place to go when on vacation in Myrtle Beach. Took my brother's family there since they have never been before. They enjoyed it and everybody liked their food. My husband and I have been there several times and he thought the food had changed. (for the bad) He ordered the ribs and they didn't taste as good as before. The prices also went up. We will return, however since my husband likes the atmosphere.

This restaurant has some of the best salads I've ever eaten. Nice interior design and atmosphere. A little noisy, but not much more than other places with this large open floor plan and lots of family diners with children. I have friends who visit from Winston-Salem, NC, and they always eat here at least once when they come to Myrtle Beach. Try the Chef's Salad...excellent!!

I noticed some had complaints as well as compliments. With most places you will get both. As for my experience, nothing but the best. From the time we walked in to the time we left, it felt like dinner at home with family and friends. Are server was amazing, from the minute he greeted my party he became a part of the group. We even met his parents who sat next to us. Those croissants are to die for. I've never tasted any thing like them, seriously, those along with the house salad was a great beginning to an incredible evening. The filet mignon was the best I've ever had. The decor was very nice, I don't remember the music being loud, or that any at all was playing. The atmosphere was exactly what I look for in an evening out. Not to take away from the group I was with though. The company you keep goes along way to the kind of time you have. I was lucky enough to experience such an amazing time along side several U.S. Army Soldiers.

Everything is always excellent here. Call ahead so you don't have to wait. They don't take reservations but they will put you on a list so you don't have to wait once you get there. Our favorites are the ribs, gumbo, baked potato soup, salads, fish platters and the key lime and NY cheesecake (flown in from Carnagie Deli in NY!) You won't be disappointed!

One of the very best at the beach. The potato soup is extra special. A dieter can order the salmon salad and never deviate from his/her plan! Try the pina colada for a creamy treat. The house salad with house dressing is superior. Best place for ribs.

We have been to this restaurant many times in the past 10 years - we were extremely disappointed- we felt like the food was being thrown at us - my husbands second steak (the first was sent back as it was too well cooked) was tough and had no flavour - very bad dining experience and we will not return. Our over all impression was that the restaurant felt that they did not have to impress our group since they could rely on their past laurels as a quality establishment. We have recommended this place in the past but would now caution those who think this is the same quality restaurant. Not even close!!!!!

The Carolina Roadhouse has always been a must for us each year when we visit Myrtle Beach. While we've found other places for great steaks on the strand, the Carolina Roadhouse's salad is like no other. The food quality from year to year never changes, always very good. One other thing that never seems to change though, is the indifference and unfriendless of most of the staff, especially the hosting staff. We are blown away by the way the host/hostess usually seems annoyed that they have to seat us! Never a smile or even a "hello". We notice this year after year. At the Carolina Roadhouse, customers aren't greeted at all, let alone made to feel welcome. The wait staff who takes our order is usually very friendly and helpful. However, the food is usually served by somebody else. This year our food was abruptly "plunked" down in front of us. I felt like it was thrown at us. On this trip, we made it a point to try several new restaurants, and found some where the food was as good as Carolina Roadhouse, and we were actually greeted when we came in the door. I don't know if Carolina Roadhouse will be on our "must" list in the future.

We had a party of 5 adults and 2 children. We had the Ribs they were very good, and meaty. One member had the New York Strip he liked his steak as well. The House Salad dressing is to die for one of the reasons I like to eat there. Our waiter was a bit slow, but we enjoyed our dinner, and plan on going back next year.

We ate at the Carolina Roadhouse during our vacation to Myrtle Beach. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time - average for this time of year in MB. I ordered the ribs, and my wife had chicken strips. The waiter was nice, and prompt. My ribs were overcooked on the back side to the point they were black. They tasted bitter because of this. My wife said her chicken was ordinary. We were both expecting better, since we had been here before and liked it then. Overall the value for the money was average, however who wants a decent price for ribs if they are overcooked and dry? The restaurant was noisy and very busy. The waitstaff appeared to be short in number. The hallway between the front and back enterance was so crowded with people that you could not hardly move through it.

We were blown away by the Roadhouse. For us, it was one of those places where every single thing served was amazing- even the creamed spinach was something special. I ordered filet medallions and fried shrimp- the medallions were a perfect medium rare and almost an inch thick even though each was only 3 oz- you aren't compromising anything!

The shrimp were excellent and accompanied by some unexpectedly amazing hushpuppies (normally, I don't even care for them). Oh, and their salads, which are fairly large, are served with homemade croissants that melt in your mouth.

My boyfriend ordered ribs and loved every bite. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive both at the bar and the table. Portion sizes are huge- we spent 50 bucks and left stuffed with plenty of food in our doggy bags for the next day.

We will be back next year for sure. What a great restaurant!

There is a good reason why this place is noisy and can frequently require a long wait? We have been here several times and have had consistently good food and service. The croissants melt in your mouth, the house dressing tastes much like the old Pennsylvania Dutch hot bacon dressing and the Shrimp Evil Jungle Prince's peppery etouffe sauce leaves you feeling warm all over.

My wife's filet medallions were prepared to perfection and the hush puppies were excellent.

This has become one of our "must visit" places whenever we are in town.

We tried Carolina Roadhouse for the first time last summer and couldn't wait to eat there again this year. We were very disappointed with our second visit. We used call ahead seating and were seated when they said we would be ( a plus) however our server was not very attentive and when our food was brought to the table it was literally thrown down. I asked for some extra salad dressing for the salad and had to ask two more times before I ever got it. We had to ask for refills and then wait a long time for them also. The steaks were just so-so. We probably won't return again.

We ate at the Carolina Roadhouse two years ago and were not impressed. We decided to give it a second try on our recent trip to Myrtle Beach (July 13-19). The food this time was very good. My son loved his steak and my husbands and my seafood was very good. My husband also had the gumbo soup and he loved it. We called ahead for seating and sat down within a few minutes. This was great since my other son, wife, and 15 month granddaughter were with us. We will be going there again next year.

Hey, Greenville, SC. Here's a clue . . . Go back, but don't order the PR. This is by far one of THE BEST in or around Myrtle Beach. Best bar "bar" none. There is a wait for seating, but thanks for the hint about the call ahead. The wait, however, is worth it :-)

I'll let everybody in on a little secret. The Carolina Roadhouse has call ahead seating! It's almost as good as making a reservation. I loved the Carolina Roadhouse. Beautiful restaurant, great food and resonable prices. You must try the salad with the house dressing (honey/mustard). Outstanding! Probably the best salad I've ever had. My kids could have eaten a basket of dinner rolls and nothing else. They are that good! Great chicken ribs and steak.
