We stopped in here on a recommendation from someone at the pool....So glad we did! The atmosphere here is very quaint and welcoming, and the service was great. Our waiter was on the ball, the food was delicious, and the proportions we received were unbelievable. We also noticed that the employees helped each other with delivering food and anything else needed. Something you don't see very often. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant!!!!

This is the best kept secret here. A favorite of locals, this is real deal home made Italian food. Not delivered frozen from the home office, but hand crafted onsite. The owner greeted us like family when we walked in The lobster ravioli in vodka cream sauce is better than I've had in New Jersey. If you're in Myrtle Beach and willing to leave the predictable chain types behind, please try this place out.

We visited Capriccio's May '12 on the last day of our week vacation. If we had known about it before we would have gone multiple times during our stay. The food was fantastic and the service as well. We were very surprised to receive a very reasonable bill. We had eaten at the Rioz the night before, what a disappointment. I would highly recommend Capriccio's!!!

As new residents of the Myrtle Beach area, my wife and I continually look for new places to dine. We've vacationed in all areas of the Strand for over 20 years, so we're familiar with many restaurants up north and down south. Our visit to Capriccios on 8/3/12 indicated that the previous positive reviews of this restaurant were accurate. We split a "small" pizza and a Veal Parm meal and both items were extremely good. The Veal Parm portion was huge and very tender, and for $19.95 it was great warmed up as leftovers as the two items we ordered would have fed four adults. The restaurant was a bit small inside, but the seating was comfortable and the service was excellent. Also, the bread that came with the meal was very good. You won't leave the restaurant hungry and all prices were very reasonable.

First let me start off by saying I am a local and usually don’t go in town to eat a lot in season. I would visit Capriccios off season to pickup a pizza and a salad most every Wednesday off season and eat in once ever two months. The only problem we ever had was the chicken in the chicken Caesar was raw in the middle. The manager on duty took care of the problem and we continued to visit. Tonight we decided to at Capriccios and the other meals at our table were fine except for mine. I took 3 bites of the Italian combo sandwich and it tasted funny to me so I did not eat it. We told the waiter (who was great as busy as they were) that I did not like it and he offered to bring me something else. At this point the rest of our party was finished their meals as we ask that it just be removed from the check. The waiter comes back and says the owner says he can not do that. We asked to speak with him and he came out with an attitude and a chip on his shoulder. We tried to explain the situation but he interrupted us and told us he stands behind his food and we our no longer customers of his and we can leave. What? This owner has no right to treat his customers this way. My wife and I are both in the hospitality industry and are asked to recommend places to eat all the time. We will no longer recommend this place to anyone. If you are the owner reading this you should go to Maggie D‘s to see how a owner should act and real New York Italian should taste.

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach! We had driven to Little Pigs for BBQ around 5:30 on Christmas Eve and luckily for us, they had already closed. We thought we were going to have to have Mickey D's when we noticed Capriccio's was still opened. Although we have vacationed at Myrtle Beach for a number of years, we had never tried this restaurant. We couldn't believe how great the food/service was and can't wait to have another meal there!

By far the best and most reasonable place to get authentic italian food. This is frequented by the locals and why it remains unknown to the masses is beyond me. The food can't be beat...it's fresh, tastes great, portions huge...no skimping here. Come hungry and you'll still take some left overs with you. They are friendly and the service is great. No negatives here...

Absolutely LOVE their pizza! I saw this restaurant on a tv show reviewing places in Myrtle Beach and tried it a few years ago. The pizza has THE BEST crust--very NY style. We vacation down here at least once a year and this place is always on my list of places to go! And a plus--they sell slices! So if you want a good slice on the run, this is your place!! This seems to be a local little hidden gem, and if you read other reviews, you'll see how the locals even rave about it!

Very nice liitle location in a strip mall area... non smoking (which is fine) has a few outdoor tables/umbrellas sat inside, place is decorated wth Italy scenes, low playing italian music in background, comfortable atmosphere for it's location and clean. We ordered the antipasto, a large specialty pizza and the tiramisou (spelling?) and cannoli for dessert, all was very good, tasted fresh made and they have a nice wine list. They give you complimentary bread basket. The dough for bread and pizza is very good. service was good too, we were one of four other couples there around 3 PM on Memorial Day so the place wasn't busy would recommend and go back again.

Friends and I stopped in for a snack about 2pm on a tuesday ,found the shop one half full of what looked like locals.a good sign.we were greeted hartily by wait and kitchen staff.ordered cold chillies, with frosted mugs, and a large pie.first of all,the large is really a large.fed three hungry men.the pizza was fantastic.anchovies of course.sauce is tasty ,toppings plentiful, but it was the thin ny style crust that hit this pie outta the park.cooked perfectly by the friendly open air cooks.austin is the best.we have been back once or twice a week since.a must for true pizza fans..

This place is a no brainer!!! The food is the best in Myrtle Beach. We come from Cleveland, Ohio each year and this place is always on our list. The pizza is so good we wish we could take it back up to Cleveland with us. We stop at this place not expecting much and it is one of our favorites. We usually hit is twice when we come down each year.

We have been vacationing in Myrtle Beach for over 20 years and have eaten at many restaurants down here. This place is fantastic! We live just outside of Toronto, Ontario and have eaten at many of the city's great Italian restaurants and Capriccio's ranks right up there with them! The pizzas were amazing and my teenage son loved the Philly cheese steak sandwich. We are definitely adding this restaurant to our list of favorites and will tell all our friends who vacation here that they need to check it out! By the way, the home-made salad dressing is heaven and you can even buy it to take home!

What a disappointment. We went for lunch before our room at Compass Cove was ready. We ordered a half mushroom pizza and drinks. My Coors Light was served wrong, the waiter had a non-alcohol Coors. I pointed out the mistake and he then got the correct beer. Later I found out that he overcharged for the Coors! Then a waitress bought us an order of mozzarella sticks which we didn't order. Another mistake. When our pizza was done and delivered to the table we found canned mushrooms instead of fresh mushrooms on the pizza. Our last surprise was when we asked for the check. Not only was the Coors $5.00 instead of $3.00 which was marked on the takeout menu we read later. But the mozzarella sticks we on our bill! This error we had the waiter correct.

We arrived early in Myrtle Beach and stopped for lunch at Capriccio. I had read negative reviews about the restaurant on this site, but decided to give Capriccio a chance. What a mistake!

When we entered the restaurant was basically empty, so we had no problem being seated. The waiter took our drink order, and served the sofas then bought the wrong beer. I had ordered a Coors Light and he bought a non-alcohol beer. i pointed out the error and he apologized for his error.

We decided to order a half mushroom pizza for lunch. a few minutes later a waitress presented us with an order of mozzarella sticks which we didn't order? So she returned them to the kitchen.

A few minutes late our pizza arrived. To our surprise the mushrooms were not fresh but rather canned. At best the pizza was average, not the best but not the worst we ever ate.

Then came the surprise ending. When we received the check we were charged for the mozzarella sticks! And the Coors Light was overcharged, which I didn't realize until I checked out the menu we took with us.

Forget this place! Do not waste your money here. Stay with the brand names and the ones in business a long time. The pizza is awful. Our pizza was swimming in a pool of oil. No one ever came back to refill water glasses the entire time. I asked a server if we could get more water and it never came. She totally ignore the request. If we raised our hand to get his attention, he quickly turned and left. Not too many people seemed happy if you watch faces as I do! It's tourist season here and most places do not care. They think you will never come back so to heck with you. Well...We are local. Yes! We live here and was recommended to this awful place. Our standard tip is always $20 unless it warrants more and we are happily to do so. This fool got MUCH less!! We will never be back and will never recommend it!

I tried Capriccio's for dinner and was very disappointed. I ordered Chicken Parm and asked for Angel Hair instead of Spaghetti. I was told by the Server there was a $6.00 charge to substitute. I think this is outrageous to charge anything for a simple substition let alone $6.00. As a result I ate the spaghetti and didn't get the Angel Hair. Food was o.k. but not worth a trip back. One poster said he has been going there for 2 years on his golf outings he must have the wrong place. Capriccio's only opened a little over a year ago. I live in the area and shop in that center where they are located. I tried their pizza when they first opened and it was good for the area but not true NY pie.

This, however, was not the experience we received. The apps were great so we were really excited about our main course, unfortunately that was where the quality of food and service went downhill quick. The waiter misinformed the whole table on the food that was on the menu as well as the items we had ordered, he dismissed every issue that was brought to his attention and finally said I don't cook the food I just bring it to the table. Three of the six main course dinners were brought to the table unfinished and when the waiter was told about this he said I will get them to add the other ingredients and I will be back. I am a business owner in Myrtle Beach, as were the other 5 members of my table so the experience that we received was not only a bad first impression, but a terrible disappointment from what we were expecting. Even though this was my experience, i will say that we will not rule out another visit and give Capriccios another chance. As a business owner, I do understand the hard work and quality of service the owners of Cappriccios have- does not always trickle down to members of the waitstaff- and to fault the restaurant as a whole would be unfair.

As a former New Yorkers (Brooklyn), my husband and I missed the flavor of real PIZZERIA pizza. Now, thanks to Capriccio's excellent chef, Mike not only are we enjoying our Friday night ritual, we're actually dining out a second evening to enjoy a nice pasta dish. Mike Jr. and the entire staff are also molto bene (that's very good).

I have been to this restaurant about 6 times ( I am local) since it opened this year. While the service is getting better - the first several trips we horrible service wise - I keep going back for the food.

In a town full of run of the mill Italian restaurants - this one has the best food in town and the second best pizza (to Anthony's)

This place is really good. They have a decent selection of pastas and other italian dishes, but their pizza is one of the best. They even have Sicilian pizza. They offer a local's discount at lunchtime.
