June 12, 2008: This resturant's name is now Haley's Seafood and Steak and it retains its reputation as a great place to eat. I had a drink, 8-ounce filet with baked potato and house wine for $35. The filet was perfect..

My fiance' and I have eaten at Calabash Tavern a couple of times and have been very happy and left very full each time. The food is outstanding and the servers are very friendly, Bob and Deb always take the time to say hello as well. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants an excellent meal. The variety of the menu and culinary talents gives us plenty of options and always wanting to come back to try else.

Good spot. I like going here. Excellent food, nice people, and they don't kill you with the prices. Very popular with the locals.

My husband and I have been to this unassuming restaurant many times. When friends come to visit this is where we take them. We are seated quickly and served promptly. The steaks here beat anything you can find in Myrtle Beach. The seafood is excellent and you have the option of having it fried or broiled. A particular favorite is Grouper florentine. The staff is part of what makes this such a great place to come. If you listen to how they interact with their customers you will quickly catch on that they have the some people coming year after year from as far away as Wisconsin.

The Calabash Tavern and Steakhouse is a great place to kickback, relax and enjoy a great meal and friendly service. The food was delicious and the timing of the courses excellent. I hate to be rushed and I hate to wait too long. It has a southern quiet atmosphere with New York caliber of food at a reasonable cost. I look forward to going back the next time I am on the Carolina coast.

Best steaks and prime ribs within 50 miles. I rate the atmosphere as average only because of the building, plain and out dated, however, the grade should be higher because of the warm treatment you receive from bob and his family. Go once and you will certainly visit often. After a couple of trips you will think you are in "cheers" where every one knows your name. Value, great food and service at low prices..

Great steaks, excellent ribs, fine pastas and for the not so hungry great sandwiches -- especially hot roast beef and sausage and peppers. Caters to all, from the early bird dining to late night snacks (kitchen is open to 9 p.m. nightly -- sometimes later during the summer. Occasional entertainment. It's NOT fine dining, it's fine food.

If you want great steaks and seafood cooked to perfection, then check this place out, it is superb! The people are friendly and curtiously professional, the food exquisit and the atmosphere excellent. The prices are below what you'ld expect from a restaurant of this quality! I've been to quite a few restaurants in the area and recommend this location above all others in the catagory of selections served. I myself am a trained chef and couldn't ask for a better quality dining experience! Keep up the good work. My hat's off to all of you involved.

This restaurant doesn't look like a big thing from the outside but don't let the looks push you away. The food in this restaurant is the best. I have worked for restaurants for 34 years and I will tell you, If you want to try to go into a restaurant to complain about even one little thing don't go to this one because you won't find anything wrong. GREAT JOB AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK........
