Its inspiration is Eleanora LeeBove, the much-love matriarch of a family that moved from Naples, Italy, to the green mountains of Vermont in the 1920s, where the Bove family name has long been associated with delicious food, unparalleled, and service time-honored traditions with deep Italian roots. Change in personnel - definitely a mistake. We dined here last month and just this past week. Difference is disappointing. Suggest dining at Bistro 217! ref: 17182 |

Total chaos...Mgment sits at bar; chef yells and can be heard in the bar; employee changes both in dining and bar areas are inferior compared to two months ago....Would suggest u spend your money some place else. My business brings me to the area every couple of months, my next trip will be to some other local restaurant! ref: 17179 |

Over-rated dinner experience. Owner and GM sit at the bar all night drinking. Can hear, from the bar, chef (apparently owners son) yelling at servers. Not worth the money!!! ref: 17132 |

The owner sits at the bar and drinks all night long. If you sit at the bar you can hear the owner's son (Executive chef) yell and cuss servers. General manager is a drunk and sits at the bar most of the night with the owner. Food is old and sits for days as they try to sell by nightly specials. Service is bad as are apparently mostly new servers who dont have a clue what is going on. Would not recommend! ref: 17130 |

We loved our experience @ Bove! My husband had mamma lee's veal parmesean and I had Bove's wonderful Calf's Liver at the behest of Alan, our waiter. Best Liver I have had ever! Our service was spot on and Alan's personality was wonderful. We will come back for sure next time we are anywhere near Pawleys. GREAT JOB BOVE! ref: 16333 |

I have dined at Bove on 4 occasions and the food was outstanding each time. My favorites would be the Seared Scallop, any of their fish dishes and by far the best fried calamari this side of Barcelona. Love the atmosphere, all of the wait staff and hostess are excellent and friendly, never a mistake. And sadly, their cheesecake is as delicious as mine so why should I make another, just stop in at Bove. The Ryans, dad and chef, have a real winner! ref: 16029 |

What a gem!!! This was our second visit. It confirmed our first impression, My lamb chops were just the way I ordered and not an overwhelming quantity. Kudos to the chef. My husband wanted fish and the cod he ordered was something you don't see on every menu. The presentation was spectacular and delicious. Our waitress was very helpful; attentive but inobtrusive. What more can I say about a delightful meal. We'll be back with our boat crew family later in July. Thanks so much. ref: 15786 |
